An old and ended roleplay created by Lilith.
I did not come up with the concept of this role play; however, I did bring it here because it was such an excellent idea that shouldn’t have died so quickly. I will be modifying it to correct the mistakes made by the previous owner so they won’t be repeated here again.
Because this is an Epic Level role play as you can already see it is going to be very lengthy to read, so take your time. Seriously, do not rush through this. I know it’s exhausting to look at but get a drink or something to relax you or read it later when you got more time. However, understand if you do read it later you may miss out on an occupation you may have wanted.
In case new role players join this RP, in character, I will post up in each of my posts a new bulletin that says everything that has happened so far to keep new players up to date and caught up. Sounds awesome doesn't it? I know.
Role Play Begins: Monday, July 12, 2009
Genesis
As time went by, humans gained the knowledge and the technology to advance themselves to insatiable levels. The elite masters of the earth became rather godless, fancying themselves as the only true gods of this world. As their hunger grew for exploration and advancement, so too, did their world evolve. A large supercontinent was once again formed, however, it was comprised of a great deal of the most suitable resources. As land became scarce, as resources dwindled down, it became a "survival of the fittest" scenario. Only the brightest, strongest and fittest - the perfect humans - were able to claim land on this new supercontinent, and outsmart the rest into becoming lowlives, and living on the barriers of the culturally advanced city that they had founded. It was soon found, as people settled down, that an object of immeasurable energy, source and wisdom had been excavated, marking the lands as those of the fabled "Eden". And so began the excavation of the ancient, perfected city.
As man claimed the city for their own, greedy in their endeavors and forgetful of those who were not privileged enough to be apart of the perfectly crafted kingdom, the item translated as the "Gods' Heart" or primarily "Viniox" was discovered. It resembled that of a large golden ore, somewhat larger than a boulder, heavier than iron ore, and was immovable by past inventions. Therefor, it was a simple task for the advanced humans to mount it onto the top of the capitol of their new, famed, idolized Kingdom of Eden. Those outside of the walls, watched in their wastelands, envying a land that would never be theirs, and dying in a land foreign to their ancient rights. Eventually, the humans outside of Eden's walls, which were poorly named "The Sinners", grew desperate. In their torment, a miracle was forged.
It only took months for the Kingdom of Eden to be completed, at the heart of it laying the City of Eden, due God's Heart. While the People of Eden enjoyed their paradise, The Sinner's too stumbled upon their own form of luck; humble, meek and tired, the few clans that existed, the few that were still even alive, outside of Eden's walls, found another, blood red object, that resembled a deep, crimson-red, ruby. Unlike the object the "People of Eden" held, the ruby was not at all circular, and instead looked to be as if a diamond. The ignorant masses soon labelled their own item, in their own avarice and thirst to be like the People of Eden, the "Ashriika" or "Soul of the Gods'". Unlike Viniox, Ashriika held a much more malice nature, building off of man's natural fascination with sin, and once those outsiders touched the Soul of the Gods' with their damned hands, the true gods awoken.
After The Sinners got ahold of the Soul of the Gods, two gods came to them, unlike anything they have ever imagined. One was faceless, with the body of a female, and the other was without any true body parts, androgynous in His own right, and held the face of a male. The Sinner's, in all their nativity and ignorance, believed them to be the "True Gods", and believed the People of Eden had stolen the Heart of the Gods'. These two visitors offered The Sinners a chance to have the perfected society they have always wanted, but at a price. Losing the price of their souls, the right to enter heaven, and their humanity, the Gods made a deal with The Sinners to reclaim their lands, which they stated was that of Eden, and to reclaim their lost artifact. The Gods' claimed that this piece of treasure would allow The Sinners to gain the knowledge to "build" their own heaven, when coupled with the Soul of the Gods. As time passed, The Sinner's became slaves to their own built-in lust to become as revered and overpower the People of Eden.
Despite their desires to overthrow the People of Eden, a small treaty was written, upon the People of Eden realizing that The Sinners had not become as weak and ineffective at being a threat as they had once though. The Sinner's agreed realizing that the Zealots of Eden would not truly give up so easily. Due to this treaty, The Sinner's, unknowingly, are still notorious in the People's eyes, and are still outcasts, however, as time ticks away, the Sinner's grow more in numbers, power and will, and soon the haven of Eden will come crashing down. And so it is the Gods' will... at least The Sinner's think so.
As you can tell by the story, there truly are no good guys in this role play, so as you choose a side, there will be no pressure on morals.

Job Descriptions
Descriptions brought to you by Sonata. I can take credit for this at least. There was always a lack of job description, which left the players confused and ignorant of their power in the role play.
Communicator – The one who speaks with the child god, Val’era. The Communicator holds a mild power of premonition, and whose existence is believed to be good fortunate, and a blessing to the City of Eden. It is a highly revered position.
Sentinels - Guardians of the Communicator (like your average royal guards).
Spiritual Advisor – Though The Communicator acts as an icon, The Spiritual Advisor is the hands-on ruler of the city. The Spiritual Advisor acts as a general to monitor and maintain peace amongst the city and regulates the jobs within the Temple of Eden.
Eden Priests and Priestess – They are servants of The Communicator, The Sentinels, and the Spiritual Advisor, tending their every need. They are the only servants with access to the three quarters.
Inquisitors – A shady branch of Eden. They are a group of justice cravers and religious fundamentalists. They are responsible for negotiations, investigations, imprisonment, execution, and torture. They have sacrificed their cleanliness to bring justice about through means that the pure people cannot, and are greatly respected and nearly revered as high as The Communicator by the people of Eden even when the branch is corrupt.
Diplomat – The lawmaker and scholar of the city. The Diplomat makes sure the laws are enforced.
Eden Representatives – Like the House of Representatives, they represent the voice of the people and meet once every two weeks to discuss the city’s conditions and problems concerning the Sinners. The Spiritual Advisor and Diplomat attend every meeting.
The Architect – The Architect supposedly has a divine gift of creation. He or she is responsible for the layout and development of the technology that surrounds and fills Eden from weaponry and transportation to public goods. If your character ever wants a weapon customized or personally crafted to fit his or her needs, then he or she must put in a request to the Architect. If this is not done, it won't get made. Also, the Architect has the right to accept and deny requests.
Designer – The Designer assists The Architect in the development of his or her ideas for the city, aiding him or her in the visualization of such, and oversees their creation. The Designer also determines where the technology is to be built to the city’s convenience.
Engineer and Engineer’s Assistant – The Engineer is responsible for the creation of The Architect’s ideas and works together with the Architect to make it happen. The Engineer’s Assistant aids the Engineer in the turmoil.
Technicians – The Technicians are the creators of Eden’s tight and top-notch security. With their infamous creation of the security droid, they are responsible for all technological repair and the twenty-four hour maintenance of the security droid.
Security – A startling human replica, an android that sees everything and knows all there is to know about Eden, containing within its database, all data inputs within the entire city (like the world wide web except it can also see into your private, online life). The android executes emergency procedure such as lock downs, opening shelters, and keeping the city offensive units informed.
City Guards – The constant patrollers of the city, making sure all is at peace. They are the guardians of the people and the watchers of Eden. They, too, can make arrests. Responsible for overnight patrols of the city and activating the emergency alarm system when there's danger.
Scientists and Lab Assistants – Responsible for learning more about The Sinners and experimenting on a cure for infections. They also experiment with medicine and chemical weapons. The lab assistants assist the scientists in their work.
Researchers – Responsible for discovering new theories and experiments. They aid the scientists and lab assistants by doing the paperwork.
Spiritual Healers and Exorcists – A small faction of The Temple responsible for spiritual healing and demonic exorcisms. They have the power to rid the demons of demon-possessed humans called Daemons, and purify the victims tainted body so that they may be accepted into the community once again. Unfortunately, their powers cannot reverse the infections placed on Sinners by the evil gods, Lilith and Kain.
Samaritans – Normal citizens of Eden involved in average joe jobs such as clerk, librarian, mechanic, etc. They are the People of Eden.
Eden Technology
Eden is a city blessed with the advantage of technology; as they are well adapted to such technology, many inventions have been created, by the Architect and the Weaponsmith, also known as the Engineer. The Engineer creates more offensive and defensive based technologies to help battle any rogue or problematic Sinners. The Architect makes buildings, machinery, trains, etc that help support the infrastructure of the beautiful city, as well as the surrounding towns and provinces. Below are some inventions.
× Saint; The name given to the engineered "holyness" that the People of Eden have created using the altered energy of Viniox. This element they have called Saint is marketed to be extremely expensive, but mimics the effects of holy water, a holy item, a cross, etc. The only fault is that this element is only 55% effective in moderately harming Sinner's. It is only 20% effective in dealing immediate death to them. They are still perfecting the element Saint. It is 100% effective in dealing a small amount of damage to Sinners, and there is only a 10% chance this element will deal a significant amount of damage. Saint acts like water - it can be frozen, it takes the shape of the container it is in, and when heated can become a gas that eventually dispels into the air.
× Acid Gun; A gun that fires bullets with powerful acid rounds; it is rather slow. The acid can also be mixed with silver to "eat away" at a Lycanthrope or Theranthrope - from the inside out.
× Cloak Phones; In ear "headphones" that instead of emitting sound, allow a user to be completely unseen, hidden away in an invisible shield when activated.
× Ultra Sonic Spikes; Spikes that are placed around a perimeter, in a wall, on a ceiling, etc for security. Unless a specific code is put into a certain area before hand, any intruder will be sounded out by a powerful noise system that will destroy inner organs and such.
× UV Lamps; Simple lamps placed around areas that emit "fake", put effective sunlight to ward of vampyres.
× Wish Coins; Marbles that once they have enough force applied to will continue to multiply, then seconds later burst into Uv and holy light. Offers light to travelers as well, and the marbles continue to multiply until the light source has dwindled down. Takes about five minutes. The marbles, once they are used up, will simply dissolve away.
× Scouts; Spider, crab or centipede-like robots with artificial intelligence. They are never any bigger than a dollar coin in length and size. They seek out any rebellious Sinner, or anyone programed into their systems, and latches onto them with their stingers or teeth - or find a way into their internal organs. Then they either detonate, or extract into the system, overtime, gamma rays that cause a system shut-down in a span of two painful days. They can be easily removed, but detection is usually never found until it is too late. They do not work on devils.
If your character works in Eden's offensive, then they have free issue of this weaponry.

Forbidden Districts of Eden
Avex - Avex is the Sinner's safehaven (I decided to get rid of this parenthetical statement because it confused people), and for others, a death sentence. However, due to the treaty, all must be given peace within this area, of course some Samaritan vigilantes don’t always listen. In Avex, resides the grand mansions of the nobles. ♦ ♦
The Sinners
The two gods that revealed themselves to The Sinners called themselves Lilith and Kain. They could not enter the Lands of Eden, while a true god still held precinct over that kindom. So, as one could predict, Lilith and Kain snuck their way into the ignorant masses of Outsiders to do their biding. Ironically, they were far more respected than their biblical counterparts, and had far more power. Where the People of Eden excelled, Lilith and Kain could counter their technological ambitions - and this is the promise they offered to the outlanders. Humans understood little of the true spiritual, or even magical world. This world, infact, was something so farfetched, that when Eden was in fact attacked by these new forces, they were forced to sign a treaty. Lilith and Kain, separately, gave the Outlanders new abilities, and thus, created new species to eventually overpopulate Eden. All of those whom are converted into one of these beings are doomed to an eternal life of suffering and pain. Because of this ...
... the forceful conversion of People of Eden into Sinner's has begun, though rarely successful as death is the usual outcome. It seemed the rage and hate of The Sinner's has lead them to a path of self-destruction, though, in their madness, brilliance must be noted. Their experiments are so secret, those who know about it, even if it is a person of Eden, says nothing. The religious and heretic-like community The Sinner's have fashioned for themselves due to their cultish behavior is classified as the "Red Society". Although The Sinner's seem rather dull and base, they are actually as intelligent, with Ashriika's help, as the People of Eden. They simply lack technology.
Vampyres
Kain is the father of them. He selected one greedy, envious female to carry on the curse from The Sinners, seducing, charming and luring men, and with her vice-filled attitude, it did not take long for her to rally up a good few, sturdy vampyres to battle the People of Eden. Vampyres can turn others into their own race. The weakness of a vampyre is, naturally, sunlight and holy items/water.
Theranthropes
Lilith is the mother of these creatures. Unlike Lycanthropes, who can only turn into wolf-hybrids, Therians can change into a different animal hybrid, such as a "weretiger" or something of that nature. A wolf hybrid is still considered a Lycanthrope. They can turn others into their own Panthrope. The natural weakness for a Lycanthrope and Theranthrope is purified silver and holy items/water.
Devils
Kain and Lilith, when their unholy blood is mixed, creates a very select few of these human hybrids. They are stronger and faster than most humans, can transform into demonic looking beings (either ugly or beautiful) and it takes extraordinary means to take one down. They can also abandon their original body and possess another body - which brings that victim's cells back to their zenith. However, the host rarely lives, but stays at the prime of their life - the prime state of their body's condition. The weakness of devils is holy items/water.

Job Description
Lilith – "The Female" god; in reality she is a dark god that in fact wishes to obtain Viniox for her own selfish reasons; uses the Sinner's to carry out her will as she is rather disembodied. She is not completely on the material plane, and so remains with The Sinners in their lands.
Kain - The "Male" God. Another dark god that also wishes to obtain Viniox for his own greedy reasons. Lilith and Kain both wish to become "true" gods, and they believe that they need both items in order to achieve such. So, while they are companions now, they are actually enemies at heart.
The Mystic – is skilled in the ways of dark magic and has the same functions as The Spiritual Advisor of Eden. His influence and commands are heeded down The Sinner ranks (must be male).
The Nobles – royal and more powerful than other kin not of noble blood. They honestly dislike each other and feud constantly, not giving a damn about Eden, Viniox, and all that jazz. They have their own wants and needs, and make their own plans. They are the first Sinners ever created by the evil gods, and are very disliked by Lilith and Kain, so much that Lilith and Kain sometimes plot to rid of them and their bloodline.
Witches – Servants of The Mystic, they aid him with their magic and sometimes cause trouble of their own. Some are hideous and some are beautiful, it depends how much dark magic they use. The witches hold vast amounts of power, but if used too much their very life force is drained and they become haggard and gaunt until their continuous overuse leads to their death (power overuse will be monitored).
Ghosts – Servants of The Sinner that are capable of getting into the City of Eden without detection. Only the Spiritual Healers and Exorcists can find these wandering spirits, and if the Ghosts aren’t too careful with their scouting missions, they can be annihilated or banished.
The Tainted – Sinners that have not been transformed into creatures and still maintain the body of a normal human. They have enhanced physical abilities but that’s pretty much it. They can roam about the city, appearing as normal Edenites until exposed by Spiritual Healers and Exorcists or until an Edenite witnesses anything unusual about them. Summary: They’re pretty much like mutants.
The Sinner Advantage
Although The Sinners have a great disadvantage due to their medieval and primitive technology, they are wise in the arts of this magic and use it effectively when need be. The strengths of the Sinners is rather self-explanitory. Their infectious blood, their speed and their brawn, as well as their building intellect do enough for them to outsmart the technical inventions of the Architect and Engineer. Their strengths are secret, and their inventions are hidden in the horrific halls of Nerodulce.
♦ Healing; every Sinner, unless they are humans, have an advanced healing factor in their blood which allows them to mutate and change and such. If damage is dealt to a major organ, it can "grow" back, as if they were growing fetuses, in a new location. However, this process can be stopped if the comatose Sinner is not in a safe enviroment for this to happen, if all of their organs die at once, or if their spinal columns are severed.
♦Viral Infection; Non-human Sinners can, as everyone knows, infect Edeners to join their ranks through force only. It is illegal for any Edener who is changed into a Sinner to remain alive in fear that the People of Eden's secrets will be revealed, and thus Scouts are usually sent to destroy a missing or changed Person of Eden. Devils cannot turn anyone into another devil, only possess. In that case, the host is still scouted out and destroyed.
♦Elemental manipulation; Theranthropes/Lycanthropes cannot manipulate the elements. Devils, however, have the distinct ability to manipulate their own blood, shadows/darkness, fire, wind, water and earth to varying degrees - depending on how "powerful" the devil is. Vampyres can manipulate shadows/darkness, wind and their own blood.
♦Psychic Abilities; Theranthropes can talk with other animals of their own race and command them, which is forbidden in Eden. Vampyres also have an array of psychic abilities, and so do devils.
♦Strength/Speed/Stamina; All Sinners have an incredible degree of this, which allows them a clear advantage over Edenites.
Sinner Locations
Avex
The Barren Lands – the wasteland that engulfs the rest of the earth outside Eden and where The Sinners and their HQ reside.
Nerodulce: Experimentation site for The Sinners; a horrifice laboratory and torture complex. Among other things, it is used to try and "convert" kidnapped People of Eden into Sinners. This is also The Sinner headquarters and home of The Red Society. The Red Society is The Sinners inquisition. If you're a Sinner, and you want to be apart of The Red Society, be sure to mention it in your occupation.
Nerodulce ♦ ♦
So, you've found yourself in the dark dungeons of Nerodulce, the hell house for the Sinners. Do not expect comfort, or the leisure of a normal life. If you so do live.
▾Leechers: Humans who are simply used to study the effects of Ashriika on non-Sinners and the mental psyche. Most victims simply die after hours of torture. Used to get information out of kidnapped People of Eden.
▾Villiantes: Humans who have been fused with Ashriika's energy and is the host of a daemon; sometimes results in a human that is more powerful and faster and unable to control most of their major functions. Usually becomes a laborer in Nerodulce and/or a slave. Used for a variety of purposes (can be saved by Spiritual Healers/Exorcists).
▿Daemon: Organs from humans that have been infected with Ashriika's energy. They become living entities that are parasitic and feed off of blood; they need a host. Depending on the maturity of a daemon, a victim can live in slight harmony with the creature or complete misery; the latter usually results on the parasite defecting from a host in a bloody mess (can be saved if research is done on).
▾Zombies: Humans who have been killed, but are currently possessed by a devil or a daemon to carry out a certain, short-lived task. They cannot live for longer than 5 days, and are completely mindless. Is sometimes used as a maturing or holding spot for a daemon. Sometimes they like to escape Nerodulce and terrorize the Forbidden Sectors of Eden.
The Rules
1. This is just a role play. This RPG was created to be fun, and it may eventually be filled with intense storylines and in-character drama. So if something happens in-character that you don’t like or wish had never happened, too bad. Everyone’s character is capable of dying. The death, depending on if it was someone of high position, can be a historical and shocking event in the role play. Of course, you are allowed to create a new character if one of your characters die, but it cannot be similar to the one deceased. It must be completely original.
2. Some of the job positions offered in this role play require a very intelligent and strategic role player, so if I deny you that position, then I don’t think you can handle it. There are many positions to choose and they are all important, so don’t get mad, just pick another one.
3. This role play is to influence other role players to be more descriptive with their posts, to learn to write more and portray their characters are their greatest potential, and to expose the role player to tense storylines and decisions that may not only effect their character but the whole RP.
4. No god-moding. I know I won’t have to worry about this much because if I see you god-moding, I will PM you personally, and any of my CO-Gms will also PM you personally, so please don’t god-mode or mode period or you may wind up with a spammed inbox of why are you god-moding blah, blah, blah, depending on how many people I got aiding me with this RP. Moding (minus the god at the beginning) is auto-hitting and meta-gaming, and any other nooby crap you can think of that is completely illogical. If it doesn’t make sense, don’t do it.
5. If you see “Reserved” written next to one of the single-man positions that means that job is taken until further notice. Do not get upset. You can either wait until the job is open or you can pick another job. I recommend one of the jobs that are infinite.
6. Sometimes there will be zombie hordes flooding into Eden. Yay! We all love zombies! The GM, which is me, will make a random notice, when a horde of zombies are flooding out of Avex and into Eden. So be on guard and blame Nerodulce!
Terms All Characters Should Know
Val'era: The "Child" God. The only God that will speak with the "Communicator", is never seen, and is, supposedly, The God of Light. There is no evidence of this, as only the "Communicator" can hear her, and that is the only "God" that speaks to her. Most people have an incredible dislike for the Communicator due to the fact that they believe that there is only one God, or the Communicator is usually the only truly devout person - save for the priests.
Eden's Lullaby: A lullaby sung to children, and a legend about the state of the current world. The People of Eden believe that the "True Gods" are allowing man to fall due to their incredible hubris. They bestowed the Viniox onto man as another Apple of Eden - but instead of sin as their punishment they got Lilith and Kain. The People of Eden believe their mission is to rid the world of the imperfect "Sinners" and their false gods.
Viniox: God's Heart. An artifact that bestowed the People of Eden with technological gifts, talents and knowledge; also enhanced the life span of them.
Ashriika: God's Soul. The wicked "sister" to Viniox. Bestowed the Sinners with their newfound wicked abilities.
War of the Beasts (Winter 2020): The war in which brought about the Serpent's treaty; The Sinner's fought against the People of Eden; upon realizing they were losing, The People of Eden had to create a peace agreement and a truce was drawn.
The Serpent's Treaty (Spring 2021): The treaty held in the Temple of Eden that allows The Sinner's freedom to enter and leave Eden as often as they like, however, this is made very difficult because of where The Sinner's new home is - behind the mountains that protect The City of Eden.
Clarity
This is to clarify and mention some things I left out that was not yet said or explained above.
Eden is a technological city. They have all the technology. Everyone in Eden is human, cyborg, or android. No edenite is non-human, and no Edenite has special powers except the Spiritual Healers/Excorsists and The Communicator. So, if you are going to be an Edenite, then technology is your greatest weapon and protection.
The Sinners live not only outside Eden, but some live in the slums of Eden called Avex. Pretty much, the nobles live in Avex and the Sinners HQ, Nerodulce, resides outside Eden in the barren lands. A Sinner must be careful if they ever leave Avex undercover or secretly. The City Guards may spare them and demand that they return to Avex but the Inquisition won’t be so kind.
The Sinners, unlike Eden and their technology, live primitively. Stone tables, bone this, pelt that, sticks and stones. They can salvage ancient artifacts such as cars or train containers to better their living conditions; however because they lack the intelligence when it comes to technology (as far as making things work), the relics are useless.
The Red Society has undercover agents that are mostly The Tainted because The Tainted resemble normal humans, they are very effective in kidnappings and stealing information to be used against the city. Ghosts are also a popular service to The Red Society. Anyone can be apart of the Red Society just understand the society’s mission.
This is a futuristic/post-apocalyptic RP. You can be original with weaponry. Some modern weaponry can be used but with upgraded modifications.
So, I'm glad I made this section because I needed to add some important things to this front page. Okay, so the world was nuclear screwed in 2012. If you look in "Terms" War of the Beast, I set a date for that. That happened in 2020. The RP begins in 2043. I do not want to be specific about the month because IRL if anyone wanted to celebrate the War of the Beast as in ceremonially, the RP would have to wait until a certain date IRL to celebrate it, which is lame. So, I'm not adding month and day.

Profile Layout
This is just a basic outline. Go all over the place with it. You don’t have to use it, but when I provide a layout, it usually makes things easier.
Real Name - your character's real name.
Nickname - A nickname he or she may have.
Appearance – or a pic can go here.
Age - anyone who isn't a god or noble needs to put their age
Sex - Male or Female.
Sexuality - Homosexual, Bisexual, or Straight.
Height - How tall?
Weight - How heavy?
Hair Color - What color hair? Maybe you have highlights or streaks.
Eye Color - What color eyes? Maybe they have a fancy trait.
Complexion - What is your character's skin color?
Physique - Solid, Cut, Fat, Thin, Petit, etc.
Likes - What does he or she like?
Dislikes - What does he or she dislike?
Occupation – Edenite or Sinner and what job?
Personality - Funny, arrogant, loud, obnoxious, gentle, etc.
History – Background if they have any.
Apparel – what can they be seen wearing; this is also where those of the offensive position describe armor or whater, etc.
Gear – any support gear, explosives, etc.
Weaponry – speaks for itself.
Markings/Piercings - Anything else?
