*steals Princess Spot away to his old stomping grounds in Wisconsin, where there are plenty of cows if you know where to look*
First, I just thought this was odd:
I'm in school to become a nurse! So be nice to me! Because I might be taking care of you one day!
First kris0the0girl, then Saken, and now you, whereas I'm making preparations for going after a hospital pharmacy technician degree? Awkward...anyway, welcome to RolePlayGateway. Billie seems to have squared you away with who's who and where to get started, but I have a few suggestions of my own.
First, you might want to visit the Role Play Academy and the RPG Design forum. The former is all about developing your skills as a writer and roleplayer, whereas the latter concerns itself more with the nuts and bolts of storytelling. I'll probably be getting some more training seeing as how I just got destroyed in a text fight, so I might be seeing you around.
Second is the wild and woolly world of our chat room. As you can see from the RPG Chat Convos thread in the Main Lobby, a lot of wild and crazy things happen in there (the best expression I've found for it is the Latin phrase
mirabile dictu). Myrin is mainly in charge of keeping the chat guide up to speed with the constant tinkering of the Coders, but damn if it's not tough.
Finally, there's the custom-built "tab system" that integrates elements of the chat room and some features of traditional play by post activity. Among other things, making a roleplay in that system gives you the ability to make characters that get their own web address, create "places" in the roleplay that each get their own chat room, and even a powerful character approval system should you decide to exercise that power.
There are many other features of this site, and as such I will not deny you the pleasure of discovering and learning about them by yourself. Off you go into the great unknown, then. :)
How long will he keep on fighting? How long will his pain last? Maybe only the X-Buster on his hand knows for sure...
