Keleth listened to all of Asphir's words. While not particularly fond of beng complimented, he preferred to stay silent, duping everyone in thinking he had completely changed. Maybe a little, but there was also a lot of faking involved. As he heard her and Phoenix discuss about a sparring lesson, Tarn finally pushed himself off of his elbows which were on the ship's banister, and said: "You know, I've got a bow too, though firing at Phoenix might give me too much of a desire to hurt her again, know what I mean Phoenix ? But, I'd like to test my newly-healed arm, so I might just but in, if that's okay with you two ..."

He saw Asphir nod and quickly go and fetch her necessary equipment. "I'll take that as a yes then Phoenix ..." and with that said, he too headed off into his quarters to fetch his bow and arrows, as well as his leather bracers. He came back up on deck just as Asphir finished saying something to the Avian, and strapped the quiver onto his back. "So, what exactly are we doing ?"

Argo went in to his room, and started looking for his book and his scrolls. The book was one o a few he had so he found it quick, scroll with his prediction for exercises was another thing. Since he had over 20 of them it took him some time to find a right one. After finally finding it, he left the room, and sad ok, this is the book that contains first six exercises, and on this scroll I have written exercises that I think should be correct for this technique. But this is where the problem starts, so let us go somewhere and see if you know or recognise any of this exercise. And we will try to piece together correct sequence of them. They fallow logical and natural flow of chakra so the sequence should not be to much of a problem to figure out, that only leaves the correct exercises. Well where shall we sit down and look at this? I would not suggest my room, simply because it is a mess, I was working until late last night, after brief meditation so there is stuff all over the room. Well what say you?

Nweris took the book and fingered through it a bit before snapping it shut and looking to Argo. "I would normally suggest the upper deck. Usually, the outside is the ideal place for such things, allowing fresh air to fuel the mind. However, I do not know how the wind will fair and I would hate to have your scroll fly from the ship. The mess hall seems big enough for the research. We can push the tables back against the wall and work out specific formations there. There should not be too many people milling about in the area." She handed the book back to the elf and thought about their choices. The crew was most likely already at work and the cook would confine himself to the kitchen. She wanted enough room to be able to flow through the poses as Argo put it and she feared her own room would be too small a space.

Phoenix smiled and gave a small chuckle at Tarn, "feel free. Just remember, I'll get you back," she said with a playful wink and looked back to Asphir as she came back. "I'll try to catch most of them," Phoenix said and walked over to inspect the bows. "They'll leave bruises, but I'll live," she said and laughed lightly. "Feel free to aim for what you want. But if I hit the water, save me," she said, all humor on her face gone now.
"Alright, I'll take off. Just shoot when ready. I'm more agile then I look," with that Phoenix turned and launched herself into the air, flying about 50 feet into the air. Turning Phoenix hovered for a moment while she waited for the first shot to be made.

"Sounds good, Phoenix," Asphir said with a smile, while sliding on her arm brace, "And yeah, they will hurt a little if I manage to hit you with one, which I am pretty sure will happen, unless your flying is by far superior to my archery. Of course I'll save you if you fall into the water, I'm not that heartless" she finished with a sarcastic look.

Watching the Avian fly into the sky, Asphir readied her bow and took a practice arrow out of her quiver. Her target hovered in the air for a few moments, seemingly waiting, as a sitting duck in the air. Looking to her side, Asphir saw Keleth by her side with his bow and arrow. "Shoot when you're ready," she said in a soft voice.

Taking a few arrows out of her quiver, she inspected them to make sure that they were indeed practice arrows- she didn't need anyone dying on her account. After putting all but one of them back into the quiver, slowly she lined up the back of the remaining arrow with the string on her bow and pulled both back with a hint of gracefulness. She closed one eye so that she could get a good look at her target. Her arm was shaking from pulling back the string. When she felt ready, she let go of the string, sending an arrow flying into the air, aimed at Phoenix. Swiftly, she reloaded and fired another 3 arrows into open air, though without the precision of the first one, she was still sure they would pass the general vicinity of her target.

Similarly, Keleth let loose some of his real arrows. He was not a very quick archer, nor a very good one, but to hit his mark wasn't too hard, except if she was flying. He pulled the string, it and the wood sighing as they took in the tension. In one twang, the arrow departed straight after Asphir's, though it headed for where Phoenix was going to dodge to, just to give her a harder time.

His arm ached, it probably didn't want to be doing this, but the relief that firing a few arrows did to his mental helped Tarn surpass his pain. He let another arrow fly from his bow, aiming over her, and then another one which went under. She was dodging well, and the assassin couldn't help but feel amazed at how lithe she was, even in the air.

As the arrows cut threw the air Phoenix narrowed her eyes and totally focusing on the arrows flying at her. As the first one was fired everything Phoenix saw seemed to move in slow motion. Leaning back just enough for the first arrow to sail by. As it went by Phoenix extended her hand and pulled it right out of the air. Her eyes still narrowed, the other three Asphir shot Phoenix turned and pulled her legs up into a full split to dodge the closest one, again plucking it out of the air, leaning back to do a back flip in the air Phoenix dodged the other two and caught one but the other just barely flew out of her reach. As she turned and flipped Phoenix saw Tarn's flying at her as well, not a steady as Asphir's but faster. With a smile Phoenix folded her wings and shot up avoiding his arrows easily, then back down to pluck them from the air as well. "Come on now! Make this a challenge!" she called and threw her hand full of arrows back on the ship and prepared herself again.

Arrogant and haughty at times, isn't she ? "So, you want some more, try this !" shouted Keleth, as he let loose a volley of arrows, aiming at her chest, he shot two others as fast as he could on either side of her, so as to block off any horizontal dodging. After another second, he fired one at her crotch, and waited to see if any blood ran.

Phoenix watched as the volley arrows flew at her. A small smile played across her lips and she crossed her arms in front of herself just as the arrows were about to reach her. Right before they did there was an eruption of fire. Once the flames cleared Phoenix was holding 5 singed arrows in her hands, but one thin trail of blood ran down her right arm where an arrow skimmed her. "I missed 4," she called and threw them down to the ship, the one arrow with blood on it Phoenix threw and it stuck in the wood right between Tarn's feet. "Nice shot."

Smiling, Asphir watched Phoenix's skillful display of evasion, managing to dodge all of her arrows. "Nice work! Give me a moment, then try this one!" Asphir called up to the Avian, who was hovering high in the sky. Putting her arm behind her back, she felt for a steel practice arrow, which would fly through the air faster than the normal ones she had let loose before.

After watching a flurry of arrows fly from Keleth's bow, she poised herself and readied her bow and arrow once again. Pulling the string back slowly, she aimed the steel practice arrow at Phoenix's body. I'll aim this one at her body, and then I'll shoot four more, she adjusted her bow slightly as the slight wind carried Phoenix further to one side, so that she can't get away.

Closing her right eye, she released the set of arrows with precision to the best of her ability, aiming for her mark, with the steel arrow leading the pack at a faster speed than the others.

We definitely need a place where we will not be seen. It is secret technique and I have to make sure that only those that give their promise and go through a ritual... Oh yes, I almost forgot, you need to go through that to. Sorry but that is a must. Do not worry, the ritual is absolutely harmless. It simply binds a part of your spirit and if you break your word and teach someone this technique, or should I say you try to teach it, you will forget it in an instance, as if you never knew it, and will not be able to learn it again. So shall we do this first and then we can find a place it practice, or is nothing else we can go through the mechanics of the exercises and the plan on witch order and what exercises to do.

This ritual will take some tie so you go to your room, I will fallow you shortly, I just need some talismans and scrolls. I will be there in a second.

Argo went back to his room, took seven talismans and six scrolls. He glanced at his room and thought to him self, "I really need to clean this mess". He went to Nwerises room, knocked twice sad it was him and entered. He approached Nweris and sad are you ready for this? If you are we can begin with the ritual. In that moment he remembered, Jack. I have one more question actually. Do you and Jack share memories? For if you do, I will have to do the same to him. And ones again do not worry it is nothing you should fear, it is absolutely painless, it might feel a bit weird but that is all. And the ritual in itself is not all that long, only an hour or so.

Nweris nodded quickly and went back to her room, setting some tea to boil as she always did. The technique must be quite powerful if the originators of it believe they must put a restriction on the learner. She didn't know how she felt about having her spirit tampered with, but Argo had said it was perfectly safe and so she went into a meditative state while she waited.

Hearing the knock on the door, she sat up and greeted the half-elf as he entered. He had several scrolls and talismans in his arms, and she wondered as to exactly how simply the procedure would be. As she mentioned Jaks, she thought a moment. Raising her eyes to glance at Argo, she sighed. He was willing to teach her something she would probably never have the opportunity to learn from anyone else. She turned her back to him and gazed at the floor. "Jaks and I share a spiritual link. He is his own seperate being, but yet an extention of my own. As am I a seperate entity and yet, part of his spirit. We do not share memories or pain. However, if you need my whole spirit to be able to restrain my teaching ability, then I will need to call upon him. That being the case, we are one spirit and you should not have to perform the technique a second time."

Turning abruptly, she looked into Argo's eyes with a serious look. "I have shared something that has never left the confines of my people. Do not repeat it, please. It is one of their most treasured secrets, along with the incantation that accompanies it. To speak of such things to an outsider would mean execution or banishment. I am trusting you with this. Do not make me look the fool." She'd already been banished from her village, but if word got out that she had divulged secrets to others, she would be hunted whenever she stepped within a forest. There would be no way she could survive without it.

Reading herself Phoenix's smile faded and her eyes narrowed on the first arrow Asphir knocked. This one looks different, she thought and cocked her head to the side. Again, things seemed to move in slow motion in her eyes as she pulled back her bow. Once it was released Phoenix's eyes went wide at the speed that first arrow was traveling. Shit, she thought and made a fire wall to slow it, but because it was not wood, it pass right threw. Swearing out loud Phoenix tried to turn her body out of the way but was just half a heart beat to slow and the metal bolt made firm contact with her left shoulder. Cursing under her breath at the force it hit Phoenix just ducked the next three, the fourth Phoenix held up her right hand and the arrow connected then burst into flames before it made a firm connection with her hand. Looking down at them Phoenix threw the metal bolt down to them and cradled her left arm for a moment then returned to her position, blood now running down from were the metal one made contact. "Again."

Keleth was about to fire another volley of arrows; straight after Asphirs', but seeing one embed itself deeply into her shoulder, he thought better of it. Shouting out to the wounded Avian, Tarn said: "Now you know how I felt ! Still, do you want to continue, or are you going to go seeking healing ?"

Most interesting Nweris. As a knowledge seeker I am more and more fascinated by your people every day. Well rest assured your secret will never be revealed by me, I will take it to my grave. As for the ritual, I will need to think about this, since you are practically one spirit I will need more talismans. Wait here, I will be right back. Argo went to his room, got six more talismans and returned to Nwerises room. After he entered he looked at Nweris that was obviously nervous let me say this again, there is absolutely no danger to you or Jack, as I sad I have experienced this before. It is not as scary as it sounds. Well shall we begin? Sit here, and place Jack in your lap. Ok, now simply relax and let your mind and spirit free of any thoughts.

As Nweris begin meditation Argo took five scrolls and arranged them to form a five angle geometrical figure. He placed a talisman on each angle of the figure and then shouted barrier, erect and shield this place a sudden force pushed Nweris and jack slightly and then it was all quiet. Not a sound could be heard. This was done in order to make sure that they would not be disturbed. As all preparation were finished Argo put last scroll between him and her, and then he started to meditate. Using a very dangerous technique he separated his spirit from his body, and then he begin. With the help of his magic he lured our Nwerises and Jacks spirit from their bodies, and then it started. A ritual was finally commencing. He put a seal on Nwerises and Jacks head and heart, and then took a small piece of their spirit and locked it in the scroll. If one could see spirits it would have been somewhat frighting. For his spirit form was literally taking small chunks of their spirit and locked it in scroll between their physical bodies. After this was over a much bigger seal was formed around the geometrical shape and it bonded spirits of Nweris and Jack covering the with red rope like structure, and then their spirits returned in their bodies. After this was over they slowly started to come out of their meditation states.

After they have waked up Argo took a scroll and sad
within this is a piece of your spirit forever bonded by your word, you swear to never teach anyone this technique ever. For as long as you honor your word, your spirit will be whole, but if your word is ever broken a part of your spirit will vanish. Spirits unite!!! After finishing his word a scroll wrapped around Nwers and jack and created cocoon. One cocoon was fully formed Argo shouted METCU and scroll vanished but the writing shoewd on a previously empty scroll and the words were drawn on their skin for a few moments, and after that they disappeared. The ritual was complete and now finally they could start with figuring out this legendary technique.

How do you feel, are you feeling any differently? You should not but since you are spirit bonded with other being you might feel somewhat weak. If you do we can rest a bit.

Phoenix rolled her shoulder and placed her right hand over the wound. There was a light sizzling sound then she removed her hand and looked down at them, "keep it up. This is nothing!" she called to them and began to fly in long circles around them, "hit me if you can!" she called again and put on more speed as she circled the ship.

For some time, Keleth just watched the Avian, noting the pattern and speed she used. Then he started firing arrows, not at her, but in front, in a line progressing backwards, as if to collide with her as she reaches them. He let the arrows loose, the sound of the twang of his bow filling his ears, as the arrows whistled through the air, aiming to hit the oncoming Avian.

The entire experience sent Nweris' senses rushing. She could feel a slight loss within herself, but assumed it to be normal. Once the entire process was over, she placed Jaks on the floor beside her and stood slowly. She sent her body through a few basic motions bwfore coming to a stop. She was a bit dizzy, but overall, the process seemed to have gone without a hitch. She turned to Jaks and he laid on his side, whimpering in a way to gather as much sympathy as possible. The warrior shook her head and reached within her bag to produce a sliver of jerky. Immediately, the fox perked up and jumped for the bait before being given the valued piece of salted meat. She smiled at him and turned to Argo. "It would appear that we are both fine. And thank you for keeping my most treasured secret." She bow her head before returning to her sitting position.

"I would rather we continue on with the lesson. You have the scroll and text with you?" she questioned as she looked at all the different talismans and scrolls that now littered her own room. She would remind herself at a later date to ask what would become of the scroll with her and Jaks' spirit, but for now, she was eager to learn what she had given a piece of her spirit for.

Phoenix smiled at Tarn's method, as she took another turn Phoenix slowed her speed just enough so that she could hold out her hand and catch the arrows as they sailed towards her, just a fraction ahead of her. "Nice try, good for hunting!" she called and threw the arrows down to him. Angling her wings Phoenix dove towards the two, her arms back Phoenix spread her wings just before she hit the ground and pulled herself out of the dive landing between them. "So, anyone want to try shooting from the air?" she asked in a playful tone, her chest rising and falling as she tried to catch her breathe.
