the ooc
After hours of twinkling stars and blissful silence, the day had begun again. Light seeped through Sin's half-cracked eyelids, causing the boy to roll over on his makeshift mattress. His house was nothing more than a one-room tree house, but what more did he need? A bed, created out of thick wood tied together with vines and covered by a mattress made of feathers, leaves and animal skin, sat in the middle of the room and there was a wooden box underneath it containing a bow and arrow and some spear heads. Simple living, but for Sin it was also perfect living.
He rose from the bed and pulled a pair of board shorts onto his naked body before slipping out of his hut. There was a bridge that led out from the doorway, because below the house was a small flowing creek. Sin didn't see the point in it, as he didn't mind the water, but the hut had been built before he arrived in Endless and he wasn't going to waste time in taking it apart. To be honest, he didn't even really need the small house. Many nights were spent sleeping on the white beaches, or hidden in the vast caves on the island.
Soon he was encased by high trees and swooping vines, as he entered the jungle area of Endless. Excited shouts of monkeys and cheerful bird songs only reminded him of how wonderful his life here was. Despite the rain forest being so vast, Sin knew exactly where he was going and as he ducked behind one of the trees, he was happy to find that his pig trap was successful. Inside the poorly made cage was a dead pig, and a decent sized one at that. Happy with his catch, he hauled the trap with him as he continued over the shaky bridge. He continued again through thick vines, past the ool where the elephants typically bathed, and then finally to the swimming hole where many of the residents of Endless enjoyed hanging out. Sin was the first one there, as he was many mornings, and took the time to gut his catch and start a fire, before allowing the meat to hang over the searing flames.
While his breakfast cooked, Sin didn't waste a second before jumping into the crystal clear water. The water was a refreshingly cool temperature and really, all he could do was lay back on the surface of the water and smile. Life in Endless was easy and actually enjoyable.
