Welcome to Endless; the world of young lost souls
Image
the ooc

After hours of twinkling stars and blissful silence, the day had begun again. Light seeped through Sin's half-cracked eyelids, causing the boy to roll over on his makeshift mattress. His house was nothing more than a one-room tree house, but what more did he need? A bed, created out of thick wood tied together with vines and covered by a mattress made of feathers, leaves and animal skin, sat in the middle of the room and there was a wooden box underneath it containing a bow and arrow and some spear heads. Simple living, but for Sin it was also perfect living.

He rose from the bed and pulled a pair of board shorts onto his naked body before slipping out of his hut. There was a bridge that led out from the doorway, because below the house was a small flowing creek. Sin didn't see the point in it, as he didn't mind the water, but the hut had been built before he arrived in Endless and he wasn't going to waste time in taking it apart. To be honest, he didn't even really need the small house. Many nights were spent sleeping on the white beaches, or hidden in the vast caves on the island.

Soon he was encased by high trees and swooping vines, as he entered the jungle area of Endless. Excited shouts of monkeys and cheerful bird songs only reminded him of how wonderful his life here was. Despite the rain forest being so vast, Sin knew exactly where he was going and as he ducked behind one of the trees, he was happy to find that his pig trap was successful. Inside the poorly made cage was a dead pig, and a decent sized one at that. Happy with his catch, he hauled the trap with him as he continued over the shaky bridge. He continued again through thick vines, past the ool where the elephants typically bathed, and then finally to the swimming hole where many of the residents of Endless enjoyed hanging out. Sin was the first one there, as he was many mornings, and took the time to gut his catch and start a fire, before allowing the meat to hang over the searing flames.

While his breakfast cooked, Sin didn't waste a second before jumping into the crystal clear water. The water was a refreshingly cool temperature and really, all he could do was lay back on the surface of the water and smile. Life in Endless was easy and actually enjoyable.

Lucy had been awake for a little while. She kept her blue eyes sealed tightly, not wanting the bright daylight to pull her out of the tranquil state she had been in. The hammock she lay in rocked gently with the pleasant sea breeze and although she was too comfortable to want to move, she did. Her tan legs flung themselves over the side of the hammock, toes nestling into the soft sand as she stretched out her back. She was wearing nothing more than a bikini and a white cover up, but it was pretty much her daily attire.

Although she was free to do whatever she wanted here in Endless, Lucy liked following somewhat of a schedule. Like every morning, she sunk into the tropical forest and found the small creek that flowed throughout the island with fresh water. She splashed some of it onto her face, hoping that the cool water would wake her up. She hated feeling so groggy, especially when she had no coffee to wake her up. The only thing that she missed about Earth was the food. The food on Endless was wonderful with its huge selection of fruit, fish and meats, but if there was a Taco Bell life would sure as fuck be as perfect as perfect could get for Lucy. The thought of food made her stomach growl, and she continued on her way until she reached the edge of the jungle. The bridge that connected the two sides of the islands had always freaked Lucy out because it was so shaky and what seemed like hundreds of feet below it, was a pretty fast moving river. The shit always seemed to be so damn foggy in the mornings too, but she did her best to make it across as quickly as possible. There was another section of thick forest before it finally cleared out into the swimming hole. There were tons of places to swim on the island, including the ocean that surrounded it, leading to who knows what, but it seemed like most of the residents preferred this area. There was a small waterfall that poured clean water into it, and it was surrounded by rocks that were perfect for tanning. They had even created some fire pits around it for easy access cooking.

Sin was already in the water as Lucy approached, and she was sure that a few others were also around. The smell of cooking food brought a smile to her face and as she glanced around she noticed that some type of animal was roasting over a fire. Back on Earth she probably would have been grossed out at the sight but after tasting it, she had grown on the idea that it wasn't really that disgusting.

"Morning Sin," she said with a smile as she sat down on the edge of one of the rocks, dipping her feet into the cool water. "What're you cooking?"

Pushing aside some of the overgrown shrubbery that was covering the doorway to her small home, Lettie climbed down the small ladder until her feet touched the warm sand. Putting her hand to her forehead, to shield the brightness of the sun, the red-headed girl looked out to the horizon. The sight that she got every morning was beautiful; sun, sea and sand. Back on Earth, she had nothing like this. It just made her believe even more that she had made the right choice by killing herself. Her life was so much better here. Well... after-life. The view was so tranquil, so pretty, that every morning, she usually ended up sitting on the beach for about ten minutes just staring. Sometimes, she would take a swim in the cool, salty water, but today, she wasn't in the mood.

The people here in Endless didn't understand her moods. Well, most of them didn't. It was only Micah, Bree, Mac and Lucy that actually realized it wasn't her fault. It was her stupid, faulty mind that caused her problems; she didn't do it on purpose. She stretched her legs out in front of her, now sitting on the sand, before falling backwards, so that she was completely lying down. There was nothing nicer than just laying in the warm sun after waking up in Lettie's eyes. For a moment, she let her pale blue orbs slide closed, supporting her head with the palms of her hands. Oh yeah, this was a good way to live.

After laying there for a few moments, the scent of roasting meat hit her nose, making her jolt up in surprise. She quickly had to clasp her hands around her stomach as it growled, the noise sounding foreign in this paradise. However, her hands fell to her sides as she remembered the last time that she had wrapped her arms around her stomach, there had been a tiny life inside there. A small tear gathered together in her eye as she stood up, and headed back to her small home to get dressed. She slipped on a green crop-top that had been knotted at the front, and a pair of white shorts over the top of her dark purple swimsuit. Before leaving, she grabbed her straw hat off of the little stand she had made, before plonking it on her head. She wiped the tear away, not wanting anyone to even fathom that she was upset today, before making her way towards the lagoon that most people gathered around in the mornings, to eat and to spend some time together.

Luckily, Lettie had made birth on the side of the island that meant that she didn't have to walk across that bridge-of-certain-death every morning. Heights were something that she couldn't handle in any situation, in life, or after-life, so it was just as well she didn't have to cross it. If she did have to, the others would never see her.

"Morning, y'all." She smiled as she walked through the glades into the tranquil area. She had been trying harder to be happy every day, honestly she had. She was trying not to let any of the things building up inside her show to the others, and only those that knew her really, really well, would have any sign that she was covering up her true emotions. "Sin, that smells absolutely gorgeous." A bright smile appeared on her face, as she sat down at the edge of the pool, copying Lucy, with her toes dragging backwards and forwards through the crystal water, making pretty patterns.

Ace

Image

"Make a wish on one of those stars, Ace..."

A narrow, dark red haired girl laid amongst the darkened underbrush of Endless' vast jungles, tropical flowers of the night blooming like smiling faces around her as her eyes shone and flickered as shooting stars crossed the sky, beautiful streaks of white on her seemingly black eyes. Her expression was impassive, blank, lips relaxed opposed to the constant, pressed line she kept them in, jagged hair dyed black by the night, fluffed around her by the force of her hands. No noise emitted from the sleeping greenery, excluding the roaring of a nearby waterfall, her peace of mind was only plagued by his voice, loving, urging, unforgettable...

Ace laid in the same position she did in Endless on a hill in Nevada under a canvas of brilliant peaks of light, twinkling and shivering like gold beneath a quivering, water surface. However, beside her, touching her side with his, was the jewel of her life, his arm linked with hers, top of his head leaning on hers, serene silence in the small town's countryside, watching the heavens as a star raced across it. He leaned a bit further, pressing his thick lips to her forehead, her nestling closer, lips moving on her skin as he whispered,

"Go ahead, baby. Make a wish."

She clearly pondered for a few seconds, staring attentively into the darkness of the night, then her glowing eyes focused on him, a natural smile blossoming over her face as she cuddled her head on his chest, closing her eyes, feeling his breath heave.

"I don't think I can wish for much more..."

From this memory, Ace, dead Ace, smiled very subtly, as if the emotion wasn't worth haboring yet at the same time her heart drummed faster at the yearn for Dean beside her again. She wouldn't cry. No, not in Endless, the land of tranquillity and content, a land that never dies. She would just lay there, staring at the engulfing abyss that seemed to want to swallow her into its depths.

The points of stars swirled around her as the night passed into day, the horizon bleaching into a vibrant, extraordinary orange unbelievable to the worlds beyond, and from there Ace rose from the jungle floor, the memories that played through her awake mind like dreams dwindling into the back of her head as she embarked for the pool that most of Endless residents spent their time at.

Ace was still dressed in what she had passed away in: a dark burgundy tank top with the Dr. Pepper logo across the front in faded, vintage letters and shorts that reached mid-thigh of black cloth. Her glasses she wore in life were perched on the top of her head, vision slightly blurred but not enough for her to use them currently. She longed for the water's comfortably cool caress on her hot skin to ease her night of restless slumber.

It didn't take her long to retrace the way she departed the day prior to the shimmering, crystal blue waters where elephants squealed and shot water at others and themselves in the cool of the shade. It neither took long for her to find a few well-known people of this world above, whom she went over to with a passive gleam on her dark brown eyes.

"Hey, guys... Morning." She said this as she slid into the water, the delicious, relaxing quality of the pool causing all ghostly memories of her life to fade into nothingness.

The day was going to be a good one - Ella could already tell. She sat Indian style at the water's edge, her hazel eyes searching for something on the horizon. There was nothing there of course, but she always felt the need to look. No matter how much she loved Endless, she always wondered what else was out there? Were they still on Earth on some undiscovered island, or were there other islands miles away for people who maybe died in car accidents, or were aborted during pregnancies? Thinking about all of the possibilities gave her a headache, and Ella brushed the ideas from her mind as she sifted sand through her fingers. A gentle breeze pulled at her caramel colored hair and before long she had pulled her body from her seated position and began to walk down the shore. The water brushed against her ankles and as she peered out at the clear water she was easily able to spot the exotic fish that moved along. Ella wasn't sure if the animals in Endless all lived on Earth too. Of course there were elephants, and monkeys and birds, but the life here just seemed a lot more beautiful than anything that could have walked back home.

Walking along the beach was a lot longer than cutting through the jungle, but Ella hated all of the insects and animals that always seemed to want to attack her. Soon she could hear the rush of water, and she knew that she was approaching the waterfall. Smoke was rising in the distance and it only signaled that the others were awake and probably cooking breakfast. She was definitely glad that Sin was here. He always seemed to be up and cooking food, allowing her to eat what he made without having to kill the animal herself as she did. The sand soon turned into dirt, but before long her feet were walking over tangled vines that seemed to be trying to trip her. As the brush cleared, she was able to spot a few familiar faces. Lettie, Ace, Lucy and Sin were there and a few feet away a fire was roasting what appeared to be a pig. As disgusting as the sight was, it only made her hungrier. However, spotting her friends brought a new idea to mind and being as impulsive as she was, Ella was quick to act on it. She sunk out from the bushes, sneaking up behind Scar and Lucy who sat next to each other on the rocks and with a quick push, she forced the two bodies into the cool water where Ace and Sin already were. Her tactics were normal, and although Lucy and Lettie both clearly disliked Ella, she didn't notice, or care enough to notice. In fact, she thought it was funny.

"Good morning!" she said happily, giggling to herself at her entrance. She glanced down at the two girls she had pushed in, holding back laughter as she sat down where the two had been sitting. "Is the water nice?"

Mac was sitting on a cliff, one that over looked the jungle section of Endless. The endless greens were calming to him, as well as when he looked up, seeing the trees and blue sky above. Or was that really sky? He never really knew, he was quite unsure about Endless still. He loved to sit on the cliff, his house a five minute walk away. The view was gorgeous, and if he had any type of technology like at back home, he'd photography ever branch, every twig, and every leaf. He smiled up at the sky, eyes closed.

He remembered being alive. Mac remembered the fatal car crash that changed his life. He remembered it clearer than day, surprisingly. He had to give himself credit, he had a pretty decent memory to remember the death of his parents when he was five. He could remember playing with G.I Joe in the back, and then in seconds, life was taken from his parents. Sure, he was sad, but he was too young to really understand. He remembered being alive and regretting never getting to know his parents. He hated that they were dead, he had no one to run to once his aunt died.

But that was then, and this was now. Mac had survived, they had not. He was now in one of the greatest places he could ever imagine himself being in. He was in Endless, and there was Sin, and all the young attractive girls. No, Mac wasn't like that, but he did enjoy Sin for a smoke every now and again, and the girls for some heart-to-heart talking. He felt compelled to care for the younger ones, considering him and Sin were the oldest. He didn't mind being one of the oldest, not at all. He was proud of it, actually.

He decided he better head out soon before all the food was gone, or before everyone decided to leave. He could use some nice water, or a ride on an elephant. Yeah, no. Mac was no fan of elephants. They didn't bother him, but he knew with his luck he'd fall and embarrass himself, or something along those lines. Sighing, he realized he'd have to cross the bridge to get to everyone, and go through at least 1/2 of the jungle. Groaning, he began his journey through the greenery, and the trees, and passed several wild animals. Temptation nagged at him to just jump on a cheetah and get there, but he realized how ridiculous he might look riding up the swimming area on a cheetah. How in the hell would he manage to explain that one?

After crossing the bridge and perhaps maybe a decent amount of time later, Mac got to where everyone else was. The first thing that hit him was the smell of Sin's delicious cooking. He smiled at the smell, and then looked to see who was there. No Bree oyet, to his surprise. Usually Bree slept in though, until late. She wasn't a breakfast person either. He noticed Lettie, Lucy, Ella and Ace. He had no problem with Lettie, Ella and Ace, but something about Lucy was always going to bother Mac. Sure, he thought she was cute, but her attitude pissed him off.

"Morning everyone, how'd you sleep?" He asked, making his way over to Sin. "Good catch, man. Smells amazing."

Bree was not a morning person, and to be up this early like the rest of the group was going to put her in an even more annoying mood than she already normally was. Sure, she tried really hard to be more mature so that she could get along with everyone, but it wasn't always that easy, in fact, it was insanely difficult. Bree didn't want to impress them, she just wanted them to be able to confide in her and not have to worry about getting upset.

She, like some of the people on Endless, did not have to cross the bridge to get to the water everyone usually hung out at. Usually she would spend her early hours climbing trees and doing childish things, especially if she was in a mood like today, where she didn't want to socialize. Bree found herself to be more alive during the night time. Stars enchanted her, and the moon put her on this insane high. She wished she could be just a little bit older, so she could drink and smoke, but she knew Mac would beat her if she ever tried. Not because he wanted to ruin her fun, but because he cared, and she liked knowing that.

To know someone cared filled Bree with an overwhelming happiness. Coming from a family with little to know love was struggle enough, and she thought she'd have to die and still feel no love or care, but she turned out to be wrong. Sin and Mac were the best, the oldest. She also loved Scarlett, hands down Scarlett was probably her favorite out of all the people in Endless, just because she understood what Lettie chose to end her life. Sure, it was sad, and depressing, but Bree understood and cared for her, and admired her, almost like a little sister.

Climbing out of bed, Bree walked outside to absorb some sunshine. It felt good, the heat on her skin. She looked around and sighed gently. Which tree would it be today?

Micah rolled over in the warm sad, it was all in his hair, but that didn't matter to him, what mattered was the blasted sunlight shining through his eyelids. Groggily, he barely, just barely opened his eyes, only to mutter a curse and snap them back shut with a sigh. It wasn't that he hated mornings or anything, he just hated waking up. Though, he had to do it, and so he did...Albeit slowly, but he did wake up, running his eyes and stretching once he did so. Micah had never felt the need to make, or even seek out on most days, a shelter to sleep in, the sand was more than soft enough for him, and if he felt like sleeping indoors, he had friends to mooch off of. Though, he always preferred the term, "slumber party."

Standing up and running some fingers through his dark brown hair in an attempt to get the sand out of it, Micah started to walk towards the swimming hole. He was always in different locations in the mornings, but for once he didn't have to cross that Goddamn bridge.

As he walked, he let his mind wander; he'd been in Endless long enough that he honestly didn't even have to think about where he was going anymore. He thanked the powers that be that he was athletic enough to not trip and fall to his doom walking through the jungle. Though, that wasn't on the forefront of his mind, he was really thinking about his life (if you could legitimately call it that) in Endless. He often wondered if his family and friends ever thought about him, what kind of funeral they'd given him and even if they'd cremated his body like he'd asked. He always sort of thought that only people that had accomplished things should be buried, otherwise you just take up too much space that the people of the future are going to be needing.

He didn't like to dwell on those thoughts, though, too depressing, in his opinion. He was a happy person. Happy, happy, happy. He shook his head as he entered the clearing where the pool was, behind Ella. He'd been quite enough, so she hopefully didn't hear him, and he put a finger up to his mouth, so if anyone saw him they'd be quite and wouldn't alert her to his presence, Now, Ella wasn't Micah's favorite person on the planet, but he still tried to be nice to her, however, this one he just couldn't pass up. After all, he'd walked up just after she'd pushed two of his best friends in the water, who could say no to that?

So, he crept up right behind her and said, "Gee, I don't know. Why don't we see?" Nad then he wrapped his arms around the girl, picking her up and jumping into the deeper part of the water, Ella in tow. He didn't let go of her until he'd surfaced and then he said, "Well, I'd say the water's feeling pretty good, wouldn't you?" He had that goofy grin of his just plastered on his face and his green eyes glinting mischievously as he treaded water.

Sin had been floating on his back, eye lids lightly draped over his brown orbs as he absorbed the warm sun heat and the serenity of being alone in the water. The smell of his catch roasting just made the moment that much better, and he knew that he should get out to turn it but he just couldn't pull himself out of the tranquil state. However, it was not long before a voice sounded, and he peeled open an eyelid to find Lucy taking a seat on the rocks on the other side of the water. A smile parted his lips as he swam over to her, and watched as Scar appeared from the brush and sat down next to Lucy.

"Caught a pig, and a big one at that," he replied to their comments about the food with a proud smile as he pulled himself out of the water and onto the rocks. "Should be done soon enough and then we can eat 'cause I'm starving." He attempted to wipe the water off of his face as he moved back towards the fire, his smile only growing wider as he examined the meat. It was nearly ready, and he shifted the body so that the other side would heat properly before turning back. Ace had appeared, and Sin gave her a small wave before she slid into the water. Although he wondered where the others were, he was sure that they would be arriving shortly. While they were free to do whatever the hell they wanted, the water hole was generally a hangout for most of them, especially if they wanted something other than fruit for breakfast. Most of the girls didn't hunt, but Sin definitely enjoyed it. He wasn't one of those fanatics that just killed animals for the fun of it but when he was hungry, it was common to find him out in the jungle searching for wild boars, or other animals with Mac.

Sin turned back to take another look at his breakfast as it simmered over the fire, and he spun back around just in time to see Ella shove Lucy and Lettie into the water. He couldn't help but to let out a chuckle while the two were still under water, but he was even more amused as Micah appeared, grabbing the small brunette and pulling her under water with him.

"Nice one, Micah," he shouted with a smirk. Ella was a funny kid, but she found enjoyment out of messing with the wrong people. Sin knew that Lucy wouldn't hesitate to slap Ella across the face, as she had done it before, and on a bad day Lettie could only do worse. He wasn't going to be the fun police and try to stop their cat fights though, but he always tried to change the subject if things got too intense.

Sin grinned at Mac as he approached, complimenting his catch. "Yeah man, this one was a decent sized one and the meat seems like it's cooked enough to eat by now. You got a knife to cut this thing, Mac?" he asked, realizing that he had left his blade back in his hut. He grabbed the meal by the end of the stick that it was attached to and pulled it away from the fire, struggling for a second before allowing it to fall onto one of the rocks that lay next to the water. He knew that Mac knew how to deal with the meat, so he ducked back into the jungle for a few minutes as he gathered a few mangoes, bananas, coconuts and berries to add to the meal.

"Breakfast is ready if any of you children are hungry," he said with a playful grin. He and Mac were the oldest of the bunch and Sin liked it that way. He didn't want to have anyone there to try to tell him what to do and having some of the younger ones to look after when he felt like it, kind of gave him a bit of a purpose.

Lucy smiled as Lettie sat down near her on the rocks, greeting them happily. The girl seemed to be alright this morning, which was a good thing, but you could never really tell with her. It wasn't like Lucy really minded though, because she knew that it was hard to control emotions and she didn't blame the girl for not being able to put up with people and their bullshit all of the time. In fact, Lucy liked Lettie for that. From the few things that she knew about her friend's life on Earth, she knew that she her life had crashed near the end. It was pretty different than her own life - one that had never really been anything horrible, but just nothing good enough to live for.

When Sin said that the food was almost ready, a weak smile appeared Lucy's face. Man was she tired. It would take a little while and some food for her to get energized and then she'd consider taking a dip in the cool water. Maybe later she'd head to the other side of the island to collect some shells, or spend a few hours in the caverns.

She gently kicked at the water, watching as it splashed and created tiny waves on the surface. Running her fingers through her hair, she quickly pulled it up into a pony tail and just as she turned to see if Sin needed any help with the food, she noticed that Ella was right behind her. It was too late to react, as before she knew it the little brat had shoved her and Lettie into the water. The shock of it kept Lucy under the water for a moment but she soon found her way to the top and took a breath of air as she cursed under her breath. Had it not been for Micah grabbing the girl and thrusting her into the water with him, Lucy probably would have killed her. She pulled herself back onto the rocks and glanced over at Lettie, asking, "You alright?", as she pulled off her now soaked cover up and laid it out on a neighboring rock in hopes that the sun would dry it.

"Micah, you should've held her under there for a little bit longer. Ya' know, I've always wondered if we can die here in Endless, since we're already dead, and I'm about to fucking test it out on her," she said. It was one thing for Ella to be an annoying little ass during the afternoon, or during the night, or after Lucy had made a comment to her, but once again she just came out of nowhere and decided to be a brat.

Had it not been for Sin announcing that breakfast was ready, she would have waited for Ella to surface so she could punch her, but her stomach was too commanding and she pulled her wet self from the rocks. Sin appeared from the jungle with some fruit and Lucy gladly grabbed a coconut, cracking it open against a rock before sipping the milk inside of it and waiting for Mac to slice to pig so she could have some.

There were only a handful of people that knew what had happened to her in life, and Lettie wasn't going to let anyone else know. Bree, Micah, Lucy, Sin and Mac knew. The people she liked. The people she cared about. No-one else was going to know. It was a deep, dark secret, something that she wanted to keep a secret for a very long time. As she sat there next to Lucy, smiling at Sin, and smelling that delicious pig roasting on the fire, she felt blissful, happy. It was rare that she actually felt like this in the morning, and nothing was going to kill her mood if she could help it. However, fate just happened to be against her that day, didn't it? Because of course, something had to happen to cause her mood to plummet.

The red-haired girl was just about to ask Sin if he needed any help gathering the condiments for breakfast when a force from behind caused her to fall straight into the cool water that her feet had just been paddling in. She surfaced quickly, spluttering because of the amount of water that had entered her lungs. Her eyes instantly locked on to the girl now sitting in her spot at the poolside, staring at her with a menacing glare. "Oh yes. I'm just fine, Luce. But she won't be when I'm fucking done with her." She spat out, before spotting Micah appearing from the glades. Surely he wouldn't let that go unpunished, and sure enough, within three seconds, Ella was also in the water.

Pushing the soaking locks of hair from her face, Lettie could only let out a small laugh at Ella's face once she had broke to the surface once more. "Micah, you are a God in human form, my dear." She shot him a beaming smile, before then giving the young girl one more dirty look. "However, next time, it won't be him throwing you in the water. It'll be me throwing you off a cliff. You got that?" Hopefully, that message would stick in her mind, because everyone around that pool would have known in that moment that Scarlett wasn't joking.

"I'm cool at the moment. I'll eat a little later." She spoke, not wanting to jump in the way of ravenous teenagers. So, instead, she just stood up for a moment to take off her green top and shorts, leaving just her bikini, before then sinking back into the water. She lay on her back, looking up at the clouds, making shapes out of them, trying to calm down her nerves before she ended up killing a certain fifteen year old.

Seeing all the girls pissed off really didn't suit Mac much. He knew now everyone was going to be grumpy, or have an attitude problem the rest of the day. Sure, they had every right to be mad, but they were teenagers and they have a habit of holding grudges. Honestly, Mac loved Ella. He loved Bree too. The youngest were always his top priority, mostly because, well, they're young. He wished he could show Scarlett and Lucy and all the others who don't like Ella the side of her that he sees, but he knew that wasn't possible. Sighing, he ran his fingers through his hair and looked to notice Sin was asking him a question.

Mac checked his back pocket and found his knife, and began cutting the meat, just like Sin had instructed. He figured Sin was going to get fruits and vegetables. He thought that maybe everyone could be eating a little better, fruits and vegetables wise. Then again, this was Endless, and sometimes Mac thought he was still living in the real world. The smell of the meat was over whelming, but Mac never got his food first. He wanted all the girls to eat first, and that was the way it was. He was a gentleman about certain things, and an asshole about others.

So after dealing with the meat, Mac backed off and waited for everyone to serve themselves. He noticed Scarlett and smiled gently at her, hoping she might be a bit more calm. Micah had cheered her up, but he hated seeing her pissed off, especially over small things. He walked over to Scarlett, sitting down where it was dry. He didn't want to be in the water just yet. He ruffled her hair and snickered.

"You know, you really shouldn't give young kids death threats," he teased. "Ella is only a child, and I sincerely wish Lucy and you saw that. She doesn't mean to be a brat, it's part of her programming as a child. What she thinks is funny, we think is annoying as hell. Now get up and eat, before everything is gone," he said. He hated to be that guy, that guy who stuck up for Ella, but he just felt compelled to.

Then finally, he himself got into the water. He figured he'd have to say something to Ella soon, or Lucy. He didn't want fighting, and he was sure Sin didn't either. He had to admit though, Micah got her back pretty good. Often, Mac wondered what it would be like if Micah was a girl. Honestly, the two of them had come up with a theory that they were definitely together in a past life. A funny theory, but it sometimes did get Mac to think.

He looked back at Micah, and said, "Hey, Micah. You have sand everywhere. We need to schedule a sleep over soon, so you get a taste of a real home."

"Baby, what the hell is wrong with you? If you're getting cold feet then just tell me. I don't know where this came from..."

"Brad, I
saw you with her! Why do you insist on pretending you don't throw yourself on her whenever you get the chance? I get it, she's prettier than me, funnier, more... your type."

"Katie, will you knock it off? Me and Grace are friends, and just friends. I don't throw myself on her. Is it a crime for me to have female friends? Does it offend you that you're not the only woman I like to be around? Jesus, Katie, calm the fuck down. If she was my type, I would have asked her to marry me, not you."

Silence. A long moment of it. Then, Brad moved toward Katherine, hand outstretched, his palm drawing close to her cheek, but she denied him the loving touch. Tears welled up in her crystal blue eyes, brimming over as she shook her head. "Don't..." she murmured, turning and grabbing her bag as she moved toward the door, preparing to leave their apartment.

"Where are you going?" he asked her.

"I don't know. I don't want to be here." And with that, she shut the door behind her, leaving him alone in the foyer.

Katie allowed herself to shed a great many tears as she left the apartment, covering her mouth with a hand as she sobbed, bowing her head. She strode down the stairs and headed down the sidewalk, toward the train station. She was planning on going to Rennah's for the night. She knew she was being a bit irrational, but how could she not be? He practically planted doubts into her mind. He barely told her he loved her, spent more time with his friends than with her, and lost his temper more and more as their wedding date grew nearer. Katherine did love him, she really did, but sometimes things were difficult.

The walk was semi-long and she finally found herself at the station, arms wrapped around herself, face red from crying. She had somewhat calmed down, and as she paused, waiting for her train, she thought over the situation. Katherine didn't want to fight with Brad. She wanted things to be good between them. It took a minute, but she soon enough thought it through, and decided she should go back and apologize. She was standing near the platform, and her train was rather close, but she turned around and took a couple of steps, inhaling deeply. The next few moments happened so fast. A man was running behind her, a woman's purse in hand, being chased by the authorities. Shouts were heard, and before Katherine even had time to turn around and see what was going on, he had shoved past her, causing her to lose her balance. Next thing she knew, she had fallen onto the train platform, and hit her head. Everything went black, and the last thing she remembered were screams. But none of them were coming from her.

A warm breeze collided with the bare skin of K's arms. Her eyes fluttered open, yet her vision was blurred for a good few moments as she tried sitting up. She had a terrible headache, and as she pulled herself up, she brought her hand to her head. Once she could see better, she realized where she was -- she was on a beach. A beach? Wait, that didn't make any sense at all. The last thing she knew she was falling off the platform at the station, and now... she was on a beach somewhere. She exhaled, shaking her head as if to wake herself from the dream she thought she was in. It didn't work. K rose to her feet, legs a bit wobbly as she looked around. Where the hell was she? She raked her fingers through her ebony tendrils, starting to walk, though she was very weak, and quite frankly, felt sick.

After wandering down the coast, she decided to venture into the forest. It seemed that K was alone, for there was no one to be seen, and it seemed there was no sort of civilization nearby. She was dizzy, but in her mind she somehow thought that maybe if she looked hard enough, she'd find a telephone to get ahold of Brad to come pick her up. She was obviously a bit delirious. She walked through the brush, pushing past tree branches and whatnot before she heard the sound of voices. People! She quickened her pace though her legs were still weak and she must have looked quite pathetic running the way she was, but soon enough she reached the source of the noise, and saw the group. K stood a small bit away from them as if she was afraid to make her presence known, though she had made enough noise running in all those leaves as it was.

As she watched the girls surface from beneath the water, Ella couldn't help but to laugh. They looked so frazzled, not to mention pissed off. It was normal though - she was used to the death threats and attacks and took them as a joke because she really just didn't get it. How did they not think it was funny? She had only pushed them into a little water; it wasn't like she had raped them or anything.

Before she had time to react more than screaming, arms pulled Ella from her seat and only a second later she was taken into the water and held under for a moment before she was released. Splashing as if she were drowning, she surfaced and gasped for air, only to see Micah next to her making some comment in response to hers about the water feeling nice. It did feel refreshing but she had not wanted to get her hair wet yet, and could only splash some water at him before swimming the the rocks and crawling out of the water.

Lucy and Lettie were quick to come at her with their usual threats and Ella could only roll her eyes at how angry they got. "Your firey hair must be leaking into your personality, Lettie," she said as she moved towards the wonderful smelling food that had been laid out. Mac was cutting the meat and she gave him a wide grin, hoping that he had been occupied with the food during her encounter with Lucy and Lettie. Sin and him had always been sort of like an older brother to her and Bree, and they were usually the ones to get mad at her when she started to piss of the older two girls. Looking around, she noticed that her friend wasn't around but shrugged it off. She was never really a breakfast person but Ella did hope that she would show up soon, as she was the closest one to her age group and didn't really get bothered by Ella like most of the others did.

She served herself some meat and grabbed some fruit from Sin before making her way to the opposite end of the pool. With an arm full of food, her mind had enough to worry about between not slipping on the wet rocks and dealing with the fact that she knew all of the food would make her fat, so when an unidentified girl appeared in the brush in front of her, she let out a startled scream. "Sin!" she shouted, not knowing what else to say as she attempted to point at the girl without dropping everything she was holding. "Oh my god, are you like an evil demon or something here to like bring us back to Earth? Because if you are, you can take one of those girls over there," she said, after setting her food down on the rocks and pointing towards Lettie and Lucy. It was funny how her moods changed so quickly, being startled by the girl one second and then again testing Lettie and Lucy, but Ella didn't see any harm in it.

Micah couldn't help but grin and chuckle as Ella splashed water at him and comments were pouring in from all sides. He nodded over at Sin and said, "I try, I really do." He pulled himself out of the water and said, "And I know, Lettie. I'm fucking amazing." He winked at her before he shook his head, much like a dog, in a failed attempt to get the excess water out of it. He only managed to fling a small amount of water and wet sand around. He shrugged to himself, not like it really mattered, anyway.

Then he walked over to Lucy and gave her a hug, knowing full and well he'd be getting some wet sand on her and she most likely wouldn't enjoy it, but he also knew that he'd rather have her annoyed with him than with Ella. Sure, he didn't really expect it to work that well, but he could try. He grinned as he still refused to let her go, "You know, I think it'd be weird if we could still die. And, if we could and you did manage to kill Ella, I think you'd be in big trouble. I mean, murder is illegal back on earth, and I don't think Sin would appreciate you killing people." Then he let go of her and headed over towards the water, he was never much for breakfast, but he did like to be around other people, so that was really the only reason he bothered to wake up before mid afternoon.

He chuckled at Mac and said, "Aw, you know you like my big messes." Though when a sleepover was mentioned, Micah jumped up in the air, both feet off to the same side and clapped, much like a ditzy teenaged girl, and said, "Oh, goodie! It's going to be so much fun!" Then he shrugged and said, "Wow, that was dumb." He couldn't help but laugh at himself and shake his head before sitting down cross legged next to the water. It wasn't long, though, before Ella was yelling something about evil demons. He raised an eyebrow and swiveled his body to see a young lady standing as if she was scared of them. He sighed and said, "Ella, don't talk to her that way. She just died, for God's sake." He shook his head, remembering how disoriented he'd been when he arrived in endless, it hadn't been fun, that much was for sure.

"Cross me again, and my hair will match more than my personality." Lettie hissed to the girl, before her relaxing in the water had begun. She really wasn't a breakfast person. In fact, usually eating in the morning made her feel ill and iffy anyway, so today, eating was out. "Sorry Mac, I'm not gonna' eat breakfast. If I get hungry later, I'll eat some fruit or something." She said softly to the guy that had just ruffled her soaking hair, something she hadn't intended to get wet this early in the day. "And dude, I know you care about everyone here and all that, but sorry, I am not going to let her ruin my morning and then get away Scot-free. That's not in my programming." She shot him a cheeky smile, as she pushed herself with her hands through the water, propelling herself a little further away from the smell of the meat that was wafting through the air. Lettie wished that at this moment in time, she had an iPod or something that played music; it was be the pièce de résistance in this little paradise that was Endless.

Almost in a dream-like state, the red-haired girl floated there for a while, only opening her eyes every once in a while to check her position in the water, making sure that she wasn't too close to the edge. On one occasion, when Micah was hugging Lettie, she felt a strange pang of jealousy in her stomach, one of the many strange feelings that she quite often felt when looking at the older male. Stupid feelings. She thought begrudgingly to herself, before letting her eyes close once more, sinking back into that relaxed state that she had been in before.

However, moments after she had began to go into that blissful state, a childish scream filled her ears, almost making her sink under the still water. "What the fuck? I'm actually going to kill her." She groaned, before moving swiftly to the edge of the pool to grab one of the apples that was overhanging the lagoon. With all her might, she flung the apple in the direction of Ella, hopefully hitting her on the head with the hard fruit, or secondly, any other part of her body. However, as she turned around to see if her target had been struck, something else stole her gaze.

Scarlett clambered up the rocks at the side of the pool, wiping the water off of her face as she stood. She pulled her hair over one of her shoulders as she stood there next to Micah and Mac, her head tilted slightly to the left as she stared at the new girl. She was one of the first here in Endless after Sin, so she knew what it was like to walk into some place new, without knowing a single person there. Especially some place like Endless. The red-head was about to introduce herself when she heard Ella's fucking annoying voice once more breaking the tranquil noises of the lagoon.

"That's it. I'm actually going to break her neck." She spoke in an eerie tone, before edging slowly towards Ella's turned back.

Sin had grabbed a good portion of the food for himself, seeing that not many of the others seemed to be hungry, and moved afar from the group, perching himself on some of the higher rocks near the waterfall. His feet grazed the falling water as he gazed a few feet below at his friends. He watched as Lucy and Lettie made remarks at Ella, and as Mac and Micah attempted to calm them down. For a brief moment, everything had calmed down. Micah and Mac were conversing over a topic that was inaudible to Sin over the waterfall, Scar was swimming and Lucy and Ella were eating. He couldn't help but to smile to himself, knowing that this really was where he was meant to be. For his entire life, he had felt out of place and rejected but here he had family; people that loved him and each other, for the most part.

With all of his food devoured, Sin stood up and carefully maneuvered his way back down onto land. He was just turning around when Ella's screech broke the tranquility of the area, and he rolled his eyes, assuming a bug had flown near her or she had stubbed her toe or another stupid as fuck thing that she liked the dramatize over. "What're you guys up for do-" he couldn't finish his sentence as Ella's high-pitched voice had caught his attention again, screaming his name. He glanced over at her, only then noticing the brunette standing only feet away from her. Of course, Ella would be the one to welcome the girl into Endless by calling her a demon and offering Lucy and Lettie as a sacrifice, and it wasn't surprising when something was whipped at the young girl from Scarlett's direction. Micah had chimed in about Ella's interactions with the new girl and Sin agreed, shoving her away from the brunette.

"I know that you probably have no idea as to where you are right now, but don't worry, you aren't still on Earth. Welcome to Endless; the world for all of us who decided that we didn't want to live back in that fucked up world anymore. I'm Sin, got here a while ago after jumping off a roof," he said, holding out a hand to shake. He tried to give the girl a gentle smile, hoping that he wasn't overwhelming her. It was a normal reaction to be frazzled and he had dealt with it many times with the others, so he was pretty used to the routine by now. "You wanna sit down or something?" he asked, noticing that she looked pale as he glanced around at the others. "Oh, and this is the family," giving a quick point around the water at all of the faces. "Guys, we've got a new one!" he exclaimed happily, before glancing back down at the girl and saying, "so, what's your name, kid?"

He chuckled at Micah. Mac could always count on him for a good laugh and a smile or two. "You are too cute, Micah," he said, watching him jump for joy like a teenage girl. It was pretty funny sight, admittedly, and Mac loved seeing everyone in moods like this. Happiness, content, and antics. Constant antics. He loved it here in Endless, he wouldn't change anything about it. Then a scream, and the mention of evil demons.

At that, he noticed Lettie was gone. Jumping up himself he went over to Ella, scowling at her. "We need to talk later, Ella. You're getting yourself into a lot of trouble around here, and we need to have a chit chat about it," he said. Actually, Mac could care less what Ella did, as long as she wasn't pissing off Lettie or Lucy, then she might as well consider herself dead. At least Micah could take a joke or two, the girls just weren't having it though. With a sigh, Mac looked up and noticed the girl as well.

Weird, he thought. He remembered when he had first come to Endless. Not many of them were there, but Sin was there, and that was his first friend, as he is everyone's first friend. How could someone not like Sin? Smiling at the recollection, Mac looked at the new girl and smiled faintly. She was a pretty girl, no doubt about that. Her confusion and disorientation was normal, and he was hoping with all his might that Ella would go up and apologize for calling her a demon, and apologize to Lettie and Lucy, but he didn't see that happening anytime soon now that there was a new girl.

Thankfully, Sin had things under control, as usual. Mac could always count on Sin to be the guy to keep the checks and balances. This girl though, she was gorgeous. Well, that wasn't important to Mac right now. He gathered a plate of food, noticing how pale she was, and walked up to her and Sin. He offered her the plate before Sin offered her a seat, hoping she would accept. Hoping she was friendly, at the least. He didn't want any bitches in Endless, that'd cause more problems amongst the girls.

"My name is Mac. I'm part of the family, I suppose. Enjoy your stay in Endless, because you might just be here, well, forever. And hopefully you choose to stay and not go." Mac thought about the people who had chosen to get a second chance on Earth. He thought about how stupid they were for going back, and how he wasn't going to. Hell no. He would stay here with Sin, who was like a brother to him, the brother he always wanted. Mac leaned in close to Sin and whispered, "This girl is gorgeous."

"Hey. Hey Tasha. Tasha, wake up. Wake up. Wake up, I say, wake up. Up up uppp." At this rate, Dom couldn't want wouldn't give up. He continually shook the slumbering blonde girl until her reflexes kicked it. Immediately, a fist flew and missed Dom's face by that much, and soon enough she was flailing fists everywhere in an attempt to make the pest go away.
"Dom, just shut the fuck up and let me sleep," she grumbled, finally stopping before she snuggled into the comfort of her sleeping place. The blonde boy just couldn't take no for an answer, and actually ran to a nearby pond to get some water to splash her with. The crisp, clear water managed to wake Tasha, and Dom had run away to maintain his distance from that charging rhino of a girl.
"Hey, you're gonna miss the excitement down there!" Dom said, trying to explain himself. "There's food, and we have a new resident! Come on, Blondie, let's go, let's go, let's go, move it soldier!"
"Alright, alright already," she scoffed, and followed Dom over to where the gang was. Strange -- he was so hyperactive today for some odd reason. Had he found a hallucinogenic plant while she was turned away? She never knew. The guy was just too unpredictable.

Of course. Sin had gotten to her first. Tasha pouted to herself, trying her best not to seem too awkward in the group. As for Dom, well, he had absolutely no problem getting to the girl, and immediately gave her a friendly, albeit weird, smile. "Hey hey! Mi nombre es Dom," he said, his accent proof that he didn't listen in Spanish class in life.
Tasha decided to use a gentler way of introducing herself, but before she got to say anything, Dom immediately said something. "And this girl here's Tasha. She's a girl too!" Tasha shot Dom a death glare, and instead of look away, he merely giggled.

The girl she would soon know as Ella spoke rather harsh words to Katherine as she stood, minding her own business, observing the group of people before her. Her brows were furrowed and she felt dizzy and faint as it was, and the sudden attention that was focused on her made her even more sick. Unfamiliar voices greeted her, welcomed her, so calm and collected that it confused her. They were in the middle of the forest, in the middle of absolutely nowhere, and things seemed fine. What the hell? Her mind couldn't wrap around what was happening.

"Ella, don't talk to her that way. She just died, for God's sake."

Now, those words made K blink. Was she dead? No, that wasn't possible. She couldn't be dead. She was walking around as if she was living. She could feel, smell, hear, see... it didn't make any sense. She couldn't find the proper words to speak, so she remained quiet for the time being.

"I know that you probably have no idea as to where you are right now, but don't worry, you aren't still on Earth. Welcome to Endless; the world for all of us who decided that we didn't want to live back in that fucked up world anymore. I'm Sin, got here a while ago after jumping off a roof," "You wanna sit down or something?"

Katherine looked at Micah as he spoke to her, bringing her hand to her forehead, pausing, then raking her fingers through her disheveled brunette waves. She shook her head for a second, glancing to her feet as she mumbled something inwardly. Things were happening to fast. At his invitation to sit down, she nodded, taking a step forward slow but wobbling so much that she had to grab onto the nearest tree. The rest of the greetings were a bit of a blur to her, and she coughed, closing her eyes and searching for composure. "I.. I'm.. K," she said. The only reason she didn't finish was because she honestly couldn't remember the rest of her name, just the first letter.

After what Ella had thought was a completely innocent comment about the girl being a demon, she received a good amount of retorts to prove that it may have not been the nicest welcoming, and before she could even reply she was struck in the head by something. A frown fell upon her tan face as she quickly spun around to look for the culprit, or bitch, or had thrown the stupid fruit at her. Before she knew it though, Sin had pushed her out of the way and he and Mac had begun to speak to the girl, offering her a place to sit and some food.

She didn't like this new girl taking up all of the attention, but Ella didn't want to express her jealousy so she turned to get something else to eat, just to see Scar creeping up behind her, saying something about breaking her neck. "Lettie! You are not making a good impression on..." Ella searched for the girl's name, just to overhear her tell the boys that she was called K. "You are not making a good impression on K! I mean, at least I introduced myself and was friendly, but here you are trying to hide behind me while Dom and Tasha and everyone just talk to her. Like, I'm sure she won't bite you or anything," she finished, smiling at the girl temptingly. She knew that she was pushing her limits today, especially as the day had only just begun but it was entertaining for her. However, by the look on the girl's face she realized that this time she might actually follow through on her threats so she flashed one last grin before prancing around to the opposite edge of the pool and laying down on one of the rocks, hoping that she could get in a quick tan.
