Steffi sighed with relief when those who had abducted her gave orders not to dismantle her family's belongings and life work and memories. Everything beyond that would come as it will. She was taken and forced into a chair in a room, looking around at the mostly empty room before her, her eyes slid up to a contraption that had descended in front of her. She noticed the machine before she noticed the holo-bonds and tried to reach up to touch it, curiously, but her hands were restrained. Her eyes slid down to the bonds on her hands. The physics of the things came into her mind, before her gaze returned to the device hanging in front of her.

It was pointed and shiney and reminded her of devices used to pull dust and dirt and various other materials away from discovered items. It didn't take genius to make the connection of where it was aimed, and she was fairly sure she didn't need anything cut off of her...

In chairs before her the gigantic creatures sat down and asked her name.

"My name is Steffi," she bowed her head, the only thing she could move at all, "Pleased to meet you."
The apple falls far from the tree
she's rotten and so beautiful
I'd like to keep her here with me
and tell her that she's beautiful
She takes the pills to fall asleep
and dreams that she's invisible
Too many dreams she stays awake
recalls when she was capable...

OOC: ((I apologize deeply for not posting recently, I've been busy with Christmas things and family obligations; also I've been having a bit of writer's block.
Hopefully this has lifted and I will be much more active. Thank you for bearing with me a bit, and I hope your holidays were good! ^^))

Watching the two and being called to sit where she pleased, she moved to the center of the room, a bit closer to the fire, allowing the heat to surround her. Raising a brow at the offer of a bed, the female gave a quiet tinkling laugh. "I think, if it is alright. I will sleep right here. I've been outside for centuries, the floor will be fine. Thank you." she nodded.

Being passed a quilted blanket, the female held it, staring at it with an almost confused look. A slight strain in her eyes as she remembered what this item was used for.
Feeling the blanket in her fingers, Pasch paused. Her eyes softening suddenly in a look of adoration or even delight at the blanket. Lightly nuzzling her cheek against it in a very catlike manner, her eyes closed a moment. A hum escaping her lips in quiet enjoyment. This was the first time in many years she had held a blanket at all.

The warmth of the fire, and the softness of the woven fibers of the blanket had pulled the strange Gypsy-type Demon into a lull. Her brows upturning, giving a look similar to a child who was in their mother's embrace. Her legs shifted and slowly she sunk to the floor, her legs neatly folding under her in an Indian-style sitting position.

"Mmmmm.." she hummed, a soft clicking raising in her throat in a purr. "I haven't felt such in so long." she whispered faintly. Shifting, she wrapped the blanket over her shoulders slowly. A soft contented sigh escaping her lips, her ears folded backwards and she rested her elbows on her knees and leaned on them oddly.
"If you don't mind." she said, watching the two. "Can you tell me about yourselves perhaps? I am curious." she admitted and smiled kindly. Her eyes partway closed in a relaxed and tired look.

Like a true politician Nal’et turned Daidora’s attack against him by using the argument as his own offensive. “No Elder questions the decision of the Gods, and as such, we have never actively hunted down the Human race with the intention of Genocide. The Gods themselves have decided to let them live after all, have they not?”
The thought made enough sense to the bystanders and so the accusation was diverted with the skill of a master politician. Still, Nal’et had to admit, he did not agree with their decision to leave the Human race alive. As Daidora had pointed out, they were a race that showed nothing but violence and they should either be tamed like the brutes they are, or killed like savages.
But none of this would be voiced out aloud, he had played his game of Chess with Daidora and had received a satisfying answer, now that that old Wolf was not here to prey on him, he would be sure to make full use of Daidora’s capabilities.

“But your words make sense, Daidora” he said, a small smile creeping on his face.
Nal’et finally stood up, a sign of insignificance to most, or perhaps only because he wanted to address the public more. But in truth, he acknowledged Daidora’s skills in their game of chess, and drew the attention of his two officers at the same time.
Making a grand gesture by opening his arms towards the public, he did not only draw in the eyes of everyone, but signaled the Starspawn to clear the area of the onlookers. This was enough for their greedy eyes, the game was finished and Nal’et had other business to attend to.

“But I suggest we shall continue with the true purpose of this meeting.” He said as his voice sounded loud enough to be heard by everyone. “And as such, we shall do this in private.” Nal’et did not request them to leave, for he knew they would refuse. A simple order would be followed, and the Starspawn would make sure they left either way. The crowded began to murmur while some in the back already made their way out. Nal’et turned his gaze back to Daidora and waited, the smile had disappeared and the mask had been put back on.

She could feel the gravel and dirt beneath her feet, when had she lost her boots? It seemed as if she was loosing time, time and places and..What had happened? The last she remembered she was in the slums, trying to get to her home but now...now..

Scheme stared at the familiar walls of her home. How had she gotten home..she looked down, at her ripped and torn clothing, eyes closing as she pressed her forehead against the cool, damp, wall of the sewer. It was..just another day, she could live with that, she swore, but..

Her hands were trembling, the fingers shaking slightly and she wasn't sure why. Her nose picked up the slightest metallic tint, the smell of blood, as she looked down at herself, trying to remember. She couldn't have blacked out for long..it wasn't possible, no no, she couldn't have.

So why was there a black chunk in her memory and the horrible taste of something coating on her tongue? She was almost afraid to say blood yet..she didn't feel as weak, could feel her blood pumping, sluggish, but strong through her veins. Had she fed? Had she found someone and, like the vile animal she was, killed them. No..NO..”NO” she screamed out, throwing herself backwards, hitting the ground. Her body arched, taking the shock before she rolled over, smacking her and, her feet, against the dirty ground.

Again, she had done it again, taken a life, she didn't deserve it, somewhere a human was dead,s somewhere... She wasn't save, not anymore, Rhage had gotten out again, It was all her fault, Rhage had gotten out...”Please..” she whispered into the darkness, eyes searching for something..something

What though? Was she searching for a Savior, for none would come, no, she would lay here, underneath this godforsaken city of humans and others, beneath a chaotic world of backstabbing and lies, where humans were nothing and the others were everything, where, if she were found again, she would just be some pawn, some toy, in the bigger plot of life. God how she hated this..

"If you don't mind. Can you tell me about yourselves perhaps? I am curious." She smiled, her eyes partway closed in a relaxed and tired look.

"About myself?" She sat, thinking about the request and idly watching Nachytsm stand there with a blanket wrapped around him. He hadn't really moved at all since she had given it to him.

"There isn't much to tell. I am a Builder, and a good one. I've lived here for a good while and I've enjoyed my time here, as much as one can in the slums. I am probably one of the only people in South End who can track their family history back before Enigma was even built. I not only come from a long line of Builders and Craftsmen, but even before Enigma was created, my family consisted mostly of Carpenters, Architects and various other building crafts." She sat back, watching Nachytsm once more. "I am fairly uninteresting."

Nachytsm, for his part, was mostly just observing still. He had seldom moved since the warm cloth was placed on his shoulders, and had made seldom more than a low grumble now and again, though not for any particular reason.

He was abruptly taken out of his mind by the elaborate display of laying down from the Demon, which caused him to blink in confusion. She was a cat, of sorts. Cats did that kind of thing. Grumbling once more he shrugs it off, though still glances here and there as he would.

Not much longer later, a question was imposed; in Nachytsm's opinion, quite a personal one, not one that should be asked to a group you have just come across; "If you don't mind. Can you tell me about yourselves perhaps? I am curious." The Demon had spoken, to both of them. She wore a lazy, but contented expression on her face, but that didn't merit instant gratification; not from Nachytsm, at least.

Sandra offered her explanation... interesting facts, some, that got Nachytsm thinking. He wasn't sure he could trace his family back, not that it mattered particularly. Then, Sandra's eyes turned to him. He was sure the Demon would be watching him likewise, but he wouldn't grace her with eye contact, at the moment anyways. Standing upright and squinting as if thinking, he does however seek to offer something of himself.

Silence reigns for a while as he thinks. His past, undoubtedly, was far too long to relate here. He didn't think they would particularly care, either. So, something recent would suffice. His eyes glance to the corners of the ceiling as he thinks, pondering. He didn't do anything particularly interesting ever, simply wandering about in search of nothing. He fought things though, yes.

Clearing his throat, he growls out slowly and deliberately, "I Kill People." Not exactly the best way to describe oneself, of course, but what else could he say? That was he, who he was. Grumbling again, he goes back to hunching over, leaning back with bent knees and arms before him. He didn't think the answer would provoke anger, but it never hurt to be prepared.

Smite and Stalker were rigid, both of them felt their levels of loathing and curiosity rising yet neither said a word. Finally Stalker snapped… “ STOW THE DAMN POLITNESS YOU WORTHLESS HUMAN, YOU ARE EXPENDABLE AND NEVER FORGET THAT! ” At this he lunged forwards as if to bite down on her head. His jaws snapping closed nanometers away from her face. His narrowed eyes scanning over her, trying to read the fear. Deep in his throat a menacing growl echoed, cold and metallic in tone as his anger fluctuated rapidly.

STALKER! THAT IS ENOUGH! ” Silence barked at him as she and Shadow entered the room. “ Thank you for calling us Smite… Stealth and Slasher are working to leave the Council meeting and meet us here…” Silence turned her gave back at Steffi and Stalker, who barked once more then turned, his large tail swinging into the holding chair and ripping out a massive chunk of one of the back metallic legs.

The four Dol’Ngrul sat close, arguing to each other and casting occasional glances over at the human prisoner. After a few hours two more Dol’Ngrul entered the room. The other four bowed in front of Stealth and Slasher. The two apparent leaders turned and examined Steffi, slinking forwards and sniffing her, their snouts and eyes getting uncomfortably close to the human woman. Soon they turned to face the four, one sitting on either side of the prisoner, “ The meeting of the United Dol’Nrgul will begin now… Saldon, get the door…

Fear shot through Steffi involuntarily as Stalker yelled and snapped in her face. She felt indignation that she had never felt before and tears almost squeezed out of her eyes, but she blinked them back, rebelling against them.

"You're going to hate me and probably kill me if I am nice or if I am mean!" she screamed back, frustrated. "So maybe I want to be nice because then I can die proud!" her voice was loud, but nothing compared to the volume that had come before her. She was surprised when another of them defended her, though she knew it wasn't for her sake. Stalker's tail hit the leg, ripping out a chunk and showing off how strong he really was.

When others entered and sniffed at her, Steffi was terrified, but did not balk. They were going to hurt her and kill her either way, she would go down as a person she could be proud of. A person her deceased family would be proud of. She would fight to live long enough so that her master's life work could be preserved, for the education of all races, important or no, and then whatever happened would happen.

((Before I start, I want to say this. To those who do believe in Jesus and God, this post is not made to offend. This is a fantasy.))

Pasch listened to Sandra and blinked. Seemingly intrigued by the idea of knowing a builder, and someone who actually knew their family heritage through the thousands of years and turmoils that the Gods had brought for humanity. Her eyes focused on Sandra in silence, listening and observing. After she had finished the demon seemed to put it to thought. Seeing Nachytsm's stature change slightly, Pasch's eyes watched him at a glance.

"I kill people." he grumbled and Pasch's ears laid back. Indeed, she had killed many people herself; although she wasn't about to just blatantly blurt it out. Her eyes quickly looked back to Sandra to catch her reaction. Pasch overall didn't seem fazed by that little fact about Nachytsm. He was a demon, like her. Killing was a natural thing to their kind. Feeling that Nachytsm wasn't going to say anymore and that Sandra was finished. Pasch decided to reveal herself now. To show first that she trusted this group. Giving a slow inhale, Pasch's eyes partway closed and glassed over as her memories flooded her mind.

"I am very old." she started with, a simple fact that Nachytsm had said before. "Much older than this city...So thus, My life's story is very long. I was born in ancient times, long ago before the Gods decided that Earth was ruined...In a time where music, dance, and art were most prosperous.Human's called it the renaissance times." she said, her mouth simply relaying what her memories brought back. The demon's lips pulled into a small frown as she tried to see the vague images of her own mother, to which were seemingly only shadows blurs now. "My mother had been a full demon, part of a now extinct clan called 'Hellfire'. Mainly originated in Europe,England,Ireland, and Scotland." she said and her eyes looked to Nachytsm. "I doubt it, but you might have heard legends of us." she said and shrugged after a time.

"We were well known, and feared." she murmured and shook her head, trying to focus her thoughts. "I think it'd best be wise not to get into my family roots, otherwise I'll be going all night." she snickered. "However, I will say how I managed to survive the fall of humanity." she said and her eyes looked to Nachytsm with a slightly hardened gaze. "I can tell, you don't trust me still. And that's fine, Sandra said it beautifully. Trust is to be earned." she said and shifted a bit to get more comfortable. "Before the downfall of man, I had many friends. Demon and Human alike. I also had ones that could shift to large types of wolves... One of them even becoming my mate for a short, blissful time." she said and her ears folded back a bit at mentioning of an old lover.

"As the gods brought their hands down upon the cities...I tried to help those I cared about. I tried to help them flee... Most of them too afraid and too stupid to save their own selves." she hissed and frustration crossed over her features, nose crinkling in disgust.
"I remember the human lore about God...Some son of his being slaughtered for the sake of humanity, his death was in love to save everyone...It disgusted me. I knew the true nature of the Gods.. Some of the humans even wore the symbols of a cross on their throats, or had small wall statues they hung in their house, usually by the front door...Depicting of the dead Demi-God. their savior." she mumbled and her hands curled into fists.
"Those ones died willingly. Saying that they were going to be embraced by the very monsters that had come to the cities, and that they were going to paradise of some sort..." she spat the words out in venomous disgust. "Those ones spoke of a God who shown mercy and love. Yet the very same thing they believed in, brought them to their knees and enslaved them all! Some love and mercy that is, Those idiot fools!" she mumbled coldly. "So, easily enough. Those humans I knew were gone...All of them, in a single swipe of the very hand to which they though would embrace them. The demons I knew were far too young and inexperienced in their years on how to survive in extremes. They too were wiped out easily." Pasch slowed and stopped a moment. Her eyes watching the flames as if the figure of someone was watching her in them.

"...And my mate...." she whispered slowly in a barely audible tone. "He died in trying to flee with me." She whispered finally. Sadness flashing in her eyes. However, no tears formed in them. She had over a few thousand years to mourn the losses. Now, she had come to terms with it and honored the loving memories she had of the lost. However the thoughts were still a sad ones. "The gods saw and felt him running for the woods in his animal form. He didn't understand how to mask himself like I could...To be 'invisible'. Then again... Even by that time, I was ancient. I knew tricks and secrets that not many others did." she whispered and her eyes partway closed. "The gods found him in the outrims of the forests, and smote him down like all the rest...So easily...So hauntingly..." she trailed and shook her head. "I couldn't stay back. I couldn't even stop to say my final goodbye to him. To even hold him and let him die peacefully in the arms of the very thing he had come to love and adore.. I just kept going, vanishing into the woods as a shadow. I cannot fight Gods, as ancient as I am. Whatever powers I do have. They are only enough for me to survive. Who am I to defy the Gods?" Pasch's eyes looked back to the two and her pupils had dilated, showing calmness.

"I learned and hunted in those woods for over a week, gorging myself on whatever I could find. Rats,Birds,Deer, wolves. anything I could bring down. I ate all of it. Storing fat in my body, I entered a deep cave and there, I slept.
My heart-rate slowed to about a beat per every two minutes. My digestive system slowing as well. Unlike a regular animal though, my metabolism moves much faster, even in that state of suspended animation.. and my body doesn't age. One of the mysteries of Demonkind, but alas. I CAN die. I'd allow my body to have only enough energy to hunt one thing down. Eat it, and then get more energy from that food source to get more." she said and she gave a half smile. "This pattern I kept for thousands of years...Eating, then sleeping....And here I am now..." she said quietly. "And here I am, before you as a whole... I told you." she said looking directly at Nachytsm now, even if he wouldn't make eye contact with her, she let her eyes scour his face and seem to burn him. "My powers are enough for me to survive, and live." she said and sighed deeply. "So there you are then for the most part. You two are the first I've encountered since those horrific times." she said and her tail flickered behind her. Her brows knitting down a bit as she waited silently to see their reaction.
