((Before I start, I want to say this. To those who do believe in Jesus and God, this post is not made to offend. This is a fantasy.))
Pasch listened to Sandra and blinked. Seemingly intrigued by the idea of knowing a builder, and someone who actually knew their family heritage through the thousands of years and turmoils that the Gods had brought for humanity. Her eyes focused on Sandra in silence, listening and observing. After she had finished the demon seemed to put it to thought. Seeing Nachytsm's stature change slightly, Pasch's eyes watched him at a glance.
"I kill people." he grumbled and Pasch's ears laid back. Indeed, she had killed many people herself; although she wasn't about to just blatantly blurt it out. Her eyes quickly looked back to Sandra to catch her reaction. Pasch overall didn't seem fazed by that little fact about Nachytsm. He was a demon, like her. Killing was a natural thing to their kind. Feeling that Nachytsm wasn't going to say anymore and that Sandra was finished. Pasch decided to reveal herself now. To show first that she trusted this group. Giving a slow inhale, Pasch's eyes partway closed and glassed over as her memories flooded her mind.
"I am very old." she started with, a simple fact that Nachytsm had said before. "Much older than this city...So thus, My life's story is very long. I was born in ancient times, long ago before the Gods decided that Earth was ruined...In a time where music, dance, and art were most prosperous.Human's called it the renaissance times." she said, her mouth simply relaying what her memories brought back. The demon's lips pulled into a small frown as she tried to see the vague images of her own mother, to which were seemingly only shadows blurs now. "My mother had been a full demon, part of a now extinct clan called 'Hellfire'. Mainly originated in Europe,England,Ireland, and Scotland." she said and her eyes looked to Nachytsm. "I doubt it, but you might have heard legends of us." she said and shrugged after a time.
"We were well known, and feared." she murmured and shook her head, trying to focus her thoughts. "I think it'd best be wise not to get into my family roots, otherwise I'll be going all night." she snickered. "However, I will say how I managed to survive the fall of humanity." she said and her eyes looked to Nachytsm with a slightly hardened gaze. "I can tell, you don't trust me still. And that's fine, Sandra said it beautifully. Trust is to be earned." she said and shifted a bit to get more comfortable. "Before the downfall of man, I had many friends. Demon and Human alike. I also had ones that could shift to large types of wolves... One of them even becoming my mate for a short, blissful time." she said and her ears folded back a bit at mentioning of an old lover.
"As the gods brought their hands down upon the cities...I tried to help those I cared about. I tried to help them flee... Most of them too afraid and too stupid to save their own selves." she hissed and frustration crossed over her features, nose crinkling in disgust.
"I remember the human lore about God...Some son of his being slaughtered for the sake of humanity, his death was in love to save everyone...It disgusted me. I knew the true nature of the Gods.. Some of the humans even wore the symbols of a cross on their throats, or had small wall statues they hung in their house, usually by the front door...Depicting of the dead Demi-God. their savior." she mumbled and her hands curled into fists.
"Those ones died willingly. Saying that they were going to be embraced by the very monsters that had come to the cities, and that they were going to paradise of some sort..." she spat the words out in venomous disgust. "Those ones spoke of a God who shown mercy and love. Yet the very same thing they believed in, brought them to their knees and enslaved them all! Some love and mercy that is, Those idiot fools!" she mumbled coldly. "So, easily enough. Those humans I knew were gone...All of them, in a single swipe of the very hand to which they though would embrace them. The demons I knew were far too young and inexperienced in their years on how to survive in extremes. They too were wiped out easily." Pasch slowed and stopped a moment. Her eyes watching the flames as if the figure of someone was watching her in them.
"...And my mate...." she whispered slowly in a barely audible tone. "He died in trying to flee with me." She whispered finally. Sadness flashing in her eyes. However, no tears formed in them. She had over a few thousand years to mourn the losses. Now, she had come to terms with it and honored the loving memories she had of the lost. However the thoughts were still a sad ones. "The gods saw and felt him running for the woods in his animal form. He didn't understand how to mask himself like I could...To be 'invisible'. Then again... Even by that time, I was ancient. I knew tricks and secrets that not many others did." she whispered and her eyes partway closed. "The gods found him in the outrims of the forests, and smote him down like all the rest...So easily...So hauntingly..." she trailed and shook her head. "I couldn't stay back. I couldn't even stop to say my final goodbye to him. To even hold him and let him die peacefully in the arms of the very thing he had come to love and adore.. I just kept going, vanishing into the woods as a shadow. I cannot fight Gods, as ancient as I am. Whatever powers I do have. They are only enough for me to survive. Who am I to defy the Gods?" Pasch's eyes looked back to the two and her pupils had dilated, showing calmness.
"I learned and hunted in those woods for over a week, gorging myself on whatever I could find. Rats,Birds,Deer, wolves. anything I could bring down. I ate all of it. Storing fat in my body, I entered a deep cave and there, I slept.
My heart-rate slowed to about a beat per every two minutes. My digestive system slowing as well. Unlike a regular animal though, my metabolism moves much faster, even in that state of suspended animation.. and my body doesn't age. One of the mysteries of Demonkind, but alas. I CAN die. I'd allow my body to have only enough energy to hunt one thing down. Eat it, and then get more energy from that food source to get more." she said and she gave a half smile. "This pattern I kept for thousands of years...Eating, then sleeping....And here I am now..." she said quietly. "And here I am, before you as a whole... I told you." she said looking directly at Nachytsm now, even if he wouldn't make eye contact with her, she let her eyes scour his face and seem to burn him. "My powers are enough for me to survive, and live." she said and sighed deeply. "So there you are then for the most part. You two are the first I've encountered since those horrific times." she said and her tail flickered behind her. Her brows knitting down a bit as she waited silently to see their reaction.
