When posting, there's a little list of boxes if you didn't use the quick reply section, below the text bow and the 'Submit' button, tick off the one that reads 'Attach signature' and you're set. As for nominations, I do not know; been reading some of them, they're nifty.

I'm not sure if you're still accepting nominations, or even if the game I shall be nominating qualifies as something epic. All I know is that to me, "Gods" is an excellent roleplay game with talented storytellers, and I believe that the storyline is unique and very worth reading. It may move a little slowly in the beginning, but it more than makes up for it a little later in the game with epic, meaty posts and excellent use of writing skills and dynamic cooperation between the players. Take a look here:

Just a few questions.

1: Are nominations still being accepted?
2: Has anybody won?
3: Can this award be given any time an RP is decided to be "Epic", or is it a one rp, once a [time frame] sort of award?
4: If only one is awarded every given [time frame], have you considered having different catagories?
"Good and Evil" is too complicated. I prefer, "Us and Them".

One per roleplay.

See above.

So the award can be given to any RP at any given time, then?

I think what he means pertains to the fact that roleplays are often divided into many categories, such as fantasy, sci fi, etc...and that an award would be granted for each category. Am I right?

It was more that I was inquiring if this was an award like the Emmys, given out once a year, in which case I was wondering if there would be an award to each genre. Or, if any RP could receive the award as soon as it met the requirements of an Epic Roleplay.

I think Moonlight Shadows meets the requirement for epic level rp. We started out in Fighting the Darkness, but moved our rp to a new thread to start a new chapter of the story. It's a really great rp and I think it fits the title of epic level rp perfectly. I know that the other members of said rp would agree.

Question: are these RPs judged by the concept and first post, or the entire RP as a whole?

In the latter case, it seems like all the players involved should get the award. After all, it's everyone writing in a team that makes an RP good, not just the DM.

That's actually a good point. Though, while it IS the players that make an RP EPIC, with prompting from the GM of course, the award is saying that the RP is epic, and it doesn't go to the GM, it goes to the thread(I think). So in a way everyone in the RP DOES get an award.

On another note, the idea of giving a player an equivalent award for great writting in any RP is an interesting concept, though I think it might give some people a bigger head than nessecary. ^_^

I think that was the idea originally presented in the award guidelines. I believe that both the GM and the players will be awarded, following is an excerpt from the the guidelines thread.

---

We'll then review the roleplay and update with the results. Winning roleplays (and all of their players) will be adorned with due recognition and acknowledgment of the achievement.

---

I have a question, that I think I know the answer to, but I would like verified. Does the game need to be played on roleplaygateway.com?

It seems as though that would be the case, but it was mentioned later that non forum games might be considered, and I was wondering if the invitation extended beyond this site.

Thanks!

ps. I think this is a wonderful idea.
