(OOC: I'm going to add another part to the story. Hope thats ok.)

Bardo sat by himself in a dark corner in the slave quarters trying not to be noticed. He was too shy to go and talk to the other slaves, but when one would happen to walk by he would still try to smile at them. But being alone gave him time to think. Think of a way to escape. Bardo thought of countless and some pointless ideas, like jumping over the wall into the water a swimming to the mainland, try to send a signal to Salamandastron (if it was close by), tunnel his way out with the help of a mole, become friends with one of the nicer slavers and hope he/she would let him go free, stealthfully assassinate all the guards at night. That last one made Bardo slightly chuckle, because that same attempt is what got him there in the first place. But then Bardo thought of something. "What if the slavers beat or even murdered the slaves!", the idea horrified him. But if this was to happen to him he would need to have something to defend himself with. Bardo looked around the room until saw kitchen knife dropped by one of the food servers. Before anyone noticed Bardo grabbed it and retreated back to his corner. The knife wasn't the sharpest blade but it would do. Bardo tucked the knife into his pocket and continued to think of ways to escape.

OOC- Tch we need to get as many people as we can back on..... gah..... kill this guy for all I care :D

A ferret guard that had been left in the barracks as a guard lazily watched the slaves. He had been told that if a single slave even attempted to escape he would be severely beaten and his food cut. All the slaves were huddled in their cells, to scared to ask for anything, or broken. The ones who still had spirit, even after all these years, just glared at him. The food servers came in and passed out food, which wasn't rancid for the first time. After a while, he then noticed one of the new slaves sitting in the corner by himself. Having sat in the same place for several hours, he decided to rough him up under the excuse of planning something. He set his spear by the door way and opened up the cell. The other slaves all backed away terrified of the sword by his side. The ferret grinned and grabbed at the slave. " You think you dont have to eat this food?"

There was no answer and Taleth left the Dragon Lords chamber and began walking back towards the Slave Barracks.

The ferret grabbed at Bardo, but Bardo swiftly kicked him in the stomach. As the ferret cringed a giggle came from one of the dibbun slaves. This angered the ferret, this time he grabbed and lifted Bardo up off the ground. The ferret snarled, “You just earned yourself an early grave, mouse!". He held Bardo up with on paw and used the other to reach for his sword. Already knowing what the ferret had in mind Bardo's next action was almost automatic, he quickly reached in his pocket and grabbed the kitchen knife, and before the ferret could do anything he plunged the knife deep in the ferret's neck. He instantly released Bardo and backed off trying to pull the knife out, but it was stuck. The ferret made one last gurgle and fell over dead with a loud thud. All the slaves stared at the corpse and then stared at Bardo. Seconds later two other guards burst in the room, a male rat and a female stoat, they saw the scene, grabbed Bardo and dragged him away. Bardo tried to fight back but the stoat knocked him unconscious with the butt of her spear.

The other slaves looked on as Bardo's unconscious body was dragged out of the room, some were scared for Bardo, thinking the worst, others were angry at the fact they didn't and couldn't do anything to help him. One of those slaves was Starg the otter. Starg felt bad for the young mouse, but couldn't help but be impressed at how such a shy mouse could do something so bold. He wanted to have a talk with this mouse, but there was only one way to do so. Get thrown in the dungeons. Because that is where Bardo was probably taken. So Starg would have to do something that would get him thrown in the dungeons, but not get him killed. All he needed was an opportunity.

(OOC: I'm not sure if there are dungeons at Dragon Hold but I wasn't sure what else could be used to hold dangerous and aggressive slaves.)

OOC- idk either we wont know till creator comes...

Taleth decided to return to his office and began looking over reports on the current slave trade and how well Dragon's Hold was doing. Even through the Dragon Lord was rarely seen outside his private chambers, he still wielded considerable influence on many sea rats and corsairs and even had foot holds in Mossflower. Suddenly two guards burst in dragging in a mouse and threw him to the floor. " Er.. captain sir... this slave killed one of the guards... what should we do with him?" Taleth looked over the slave and saw some some fiery anger behind his eyes. " I'll deal with him myself. Dismissed." The two guards saluted and left knowing better then to question the "Lord of War".

Taleth turned his attention to the slave and said, " You've got guts for such a small mouse. Your the first slave to actually kill a guard, the rest are typically too scared to kill one when the attempt to escape. As I said in my speech, if you resist in any way, you'll be killed, but thats all for show. Maybe I'm getting disillusioned with this Hold, but I'll let you off light this time. I'm throwing you into the dungeons for a day or two, perhaps you'll cool off eh?" Taleth got up and opened the door saying, " After you."

Bardo was then "escorted" to the dungeons, the door was opened and Bardo was thrown in. The door was then tightly locked and sealed. When they threw Bardo in he landed face first, so he was a little dazed. When his vision cleared up Bardo looked around the room, he saw that he wasn't alone. There were several other slaves in there with him, they were huddling in a corner of the room, talking amongst themselves. They all looked toughened by their time in captivity, it seemed as if they were planning something. When Bardo was first thrown in they all turned to look at him, then when Bardo looked at them a strong looking female otter stepped forward and immediately told him, "Just because your a slave too doesn't mean we trust you, so just go and sit over there." Bardo did as he was told, he did not want to start an argument. As he was almost to the wall the otter asked him one question, "Oh by the way, what did a mouse like you do to get thrown in here?" Bardo stopped and didn't even turn around when he mumbled "I killed a guard." He then sat down, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes as the otter and her comrades stared at him, wide eyed.

(OOC: It's been awhile since there has been any activity here, so I'm going to add another part.)

Back in the slave quarters, Starg sat at one of the tables as food was brought in. The food looked and felt like a pile of mud (and it probably was). But Starg didn't focus much on the food, he was more focused on his plan to get to the dungeons to where Bardo was being held. Because he was an otter meant that he would get a harsher punishment if he killed a guard (like Bardo did). So he would have to do something not as serious, but also not to be taken lightly. As Starg thought on this a familiar face came in the room. The guards were changing posts, and the new guard was none other than the rat that tried to force Starg in a cell when he first came.

The rat's name was Bladetail. He once was a searat, who murdered and raided settlements with his crew. Until on day they docked at Dragon Hold and became slavers because they enjoy the suffering of others. Even though he acts big and tough he is actually one of the weakest and smallest slavers at Dragon Hold.

The moment Bladetail saw Starg he immediately recognized him. He gave a wicked smile and walked over to Starg. Bladetail began to taunt Starg," Well if it isn't you. Hey, you haven't touched your food yet, go on, eat." Starg looked at Bladetail and said in a innocent voice," But I am not hungry, why don't you have it?" Bladetail then said in a slightly angrier voice," Don't act so modest, now look at your position. I have a spear and you have nothing. So if you don't eat that slop right now I will kill you. And that softy Taleth isn't here to protect you so...Ugh!" Just then Starg threw a pawful of food slime in Bladetail's face. And just as Bladetail recovered Starg tossed another pawful of food at him, this made some of the younger slaves giggle, even some of the older ones chuckled. This time Starg just sat there with a smile on his face. Seeing this smile made Bladetail even more angry, he then shouted," Thats it, to the dungeons!"

Bladetail quickly escorted Starg to the dungeons, he didn't let anyone see him escort the otter. He pushed Starg into the dungeons, locked the door, and hurried back to his post. Starg quickly recovered from the push and looked at the tightly locked door. He then turned around to find a group of tough looking slaves staring at him. A female otter stepped forward (the same that confronted Bardo), she smiled and said, “Well well, finally someone that looks like they can fight. A pleasure to meet you." Starg smiled back and said,"Nice to meet you too. Did you happen to see a mouse in here?" The otter's smile quickly disappeared,"Oh him, ya he's over there", she pointed to a dark corner. Starg saw a small dark figure in the corner. He turned to the otter and said,"Thanks", and then walked towards Bardo. He sat next to the mouse and said,"I saw what you did to that guard, you were a quick thinker in grabbing that knife." Bardo didn't say anything. Starg then continued,"And the way you fight back at the guards tells me that you want to get out of here as badly as I do." Bardo looked up in surprise and said,"Yes, yes I do. I um actually have thought of escaped ideas." Starg smiled and said, “Good, well, tell me. Oh, by the way my name is Starg." Bardo smiled and said, “Mines Bardo, nice to meet you. Okay, so, uh, here are my ideas...."
