Eww.. I'm a newbie. D: ( )

Um, because I utterly fail at introductions, I will use the questions given.

My username is Emmery, and I chose it because when I was younger, I hated people misspelling my name. Therefore, I spelled it out. It sounded a little like: "My name is Em-Ee-Ar-Ee-Dee-I-Tee-Ache." People started calling me Emmery, Emmey, Em, lots of things.
I was bored and I searched roleplaying on Google. I got a couple wiki articles, but then this site came up. I figured, eh, why not?
I have been roleplaying on other sites for a long time now. Under many different usernames, but Gaia, rolia, Ernya, and others.
I really, really was sick and tired of all the illiterate roleplayers that were plaguing anything I did.
My favorite genre of roleplay is fantasy. I love getting into a fictitious setting, letting the real world melt away.
As for hobbies, I like reading, writing, drawing, and studying. Um, wow. Now I feel nerdy.
I am a pretty good artist, or at least I like to believe I am. I'm no Van Gough, but I'm okay.

Oh! Anyone who read this gets a virtual cookie. (Not a real one, those are mine. Mwahaha!)

Also-Alo, Emmery! It's good to finally chat with you. I've seen you posting around the forums lately, which is fantastic.

I love the history to your username. I have a friend named Meredith, too, and the amount of people who put in two rs is fantastic.

Google brought me here, too, all those years ago! And it's great to see a dedicated, active roleplayer joining our ranks. We have a handful of other users who were formerly from Gaia, so you certainly won't be alone in that regard.

We're a community of skilled storytellers from all walks of life, and I have every confidence that you'll fit right in with the lot of us, especially if you love fantasy! That seems to be a popular genre to write in, I've noticed.

Ooh. You're an artist, huh? Check out our Creative Realm, a section of the website roped off specifically for the sharing of user-generated content. You can get reviews, praise, or just general "oohs" and "aahs" if you like.

As you go about the website, don't forget to check out the RPG Rules. There are only five, so don't worry! Give them a read so you can know how we try to conduct ourselves here in this community.

You've already been well on your way to getting your ten forum posts, so I won't even mention that!

And, lastly, on Wednesday January 18, RolePlayGateway will be going dark in protest against SOPA. Read about it here. Just thought you ought to know about it before it happens.

If you have any questions about anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask!

How long will he keep on fighting? How long will his pain last? Maybe only the X-Buster on his hand knows for sure...

RolePlayGateway is a site built by a couple roleplayers who wanted to give a little something back to the roleplay community. The site has no intention of earning any profit, and is paid for out of their own pockets.

If you appreciate what they do, feel free to donate your spare change to help feed them on the weekends. After selecting the amount you want to donate from the menu, you can continue by clicking on PayPal logo.
