Digimon, thanks for showing interest, but are you a literate roleplayer? You added an unnecessary ' in "sounds", you forgot the period or comma after "fun" and you forgot to capitalize and put a ' in I'll. Your word average is also 37 words per post, so would you be able to write atleast 300 words per post?

StarStruck, you make me giggle. Much as I also like to correct people with the spelling and punctuation, although I do admit mine can be pretty hectic sometimes, you'd probably be better looking into the players other posts. If you go onto their little mini profile thing you'll be able to access their most active forums and see what their posts are like. Failing that, you can do the truly Gaia-eske idea of asking for example posts on a certain subject. Believe me that works.
As for words counts, look at their posts there. On average, when we post in interest checks (we refering to roleplayers as a general and inclusive group) we only post a few words to register interest or to suggest points of improvement etc. This sort of thing really reduces a players average word count. (For example, my personal word count is somewhere between 140-150 words, however a lot of my posts tend to be 500+ these days.) I know you're just trying to display the rules and depth you want for this roleplay, but perhaps you don't need to do that just yet?

However, back to the main point for this post. I am definately interested in this Roleplay because of my love of the song, and of course the band in general. The new album is amazing in my opinion. I'll be reading up for plot details etc, so I'm not saying I shall definately join -I have a lot of college work at the moment, which apparently takes priority- but I do think this sounds like a good idea and something I would enjoy being involved in.

This seems like a pretty cool idea. I would join. I think I'm literate-- I'm just using a touchscreen keyboard now, so it may not seem like it.

After people sign up on my OOC threads, I always do a quick backround check to make sure that they can provide detailed posts for the roelplay. In interest checks, I would rather see if the roleplayer thinks that they can challenge themselves and take on a more literate roleplay, or if they don't.

Trust me, I do understand most people's word count is low because of OOC thread posts. I take that into consideration before mentioning it to people, because I am one of those people that post on OOC threads a lot. I know that it lowers your average.

I don't understand why you say I wouldn't need to "display the rules and depth" for this roleplay. This is the interest check, so I am informing roleplayers on the guidelines before they waste their time posting, and then finding out that it is too much of a challenge for them.

Anyway, thank you for showing your interest. I understand that school and everything takes up time, so thanks for considering this. I hope to see you in the OOC thread once it's up =D.

Hmm, an image came to mind as I was thinking about this.

A portal in the forest -in autumn, of course- that leads somewhere. Where, exactly? I don't know. My mind seems to hate me when it comes to being creative.

Well, I'm back on my computer, so I can type properly now.

Like Aliath, I sort of got an image/idea from this. It' seems random, but I pictured a ghost train. They could be somewhere near a railroad, and this strange train pulls up-- just stops in the middle of the tracks. They could feel compelled to get on, and the train lets them out into this other world.

Like I said, I know it's a bit ridiculous-- feel free to use someone else's idea.

I like Billy Talent, too. Their new album is really great. I swear I listened to Saint Veronika on repeat for a day straight.

Let's try to combine all of the ideas into one.

The teenagers are on their way to a Halloween party, so they're in costumes. They are at the train station waiting for their train to get to [whatever city] for the party, when a train shows up, saying it's going to their destination. They get onto the train, and after an unusual ride they wake up in the middle of a forest?

I don't know. If anyone else has any other ideas or idea on how to combine them, feel free to throw it out here.
