My favourite band has got to be Metallica, with Iron Maiden a close second. I love all the more 'classic' metal bands, and sometimes think I should have been around in the 80's to really appreciate the music.

Other, newer, bands I can say would perhaps lie in my favourites include Korn, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Rhapsody, Epica and more than can really be mentioned.

Away from bands, however, one of my favourite artists is Kate Bush - a rather old school, cult, weird singer from Britain. I absolutely love her stuff.

I believe my favorite band for the time being would have to be The Black Maria who sings "Waking Up With the Wolves". I personally believe this is their greatest song, or from what I've downloaded. Following closely behind that song, still The Black Maria, would be "Betrayal".

I would also like to take the time to point out that the lead singer from System of a Down has finally left that band or atleast taken apart from. Which is frankly a good move, considering SoaD sucks, in my opinion. They were horrid. Anyways, he's doing a few songs on his own now and the biggest hit I've heard is "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" by Serj Tankian, lead singer of SoaD. So, those of you that liked SoaD I would recommend looking into this.

i like demonhunter, best show i seen is prolly metallica here in south africa, especially after reading they retired the injustice for all album as it was to fast and intricate for them in their old age
but the kicked out one and tons of others newest stuff they played was few off black album.
course front row at soundgarden 2months b4 they broke up was kewl too.

A note on Matthias' comments (other than calling for his public execution, for SoaD, in fact, owns your mother's soul), Serj hasn't left System, the band is just breaking for the time being. Serj, Shavo, and Daron are doing their own things, and John is opening a comic business.

That aside, I'd have to say my top three are Spineshank, Flaw, and Rammstein, followed closely by Disturbed and Metallica.
