Now we have the white behind the actual posts, I feel happier about the gaps between posts; they are much less stark now.

However, I do believe that something should be done about the grey background. Perhaps an image of some sort?

Perhaps an emulation of the old gwing.net colour scheme?

We are... obviously keeping this another day, perhaps longer. Please keep the feedback coming!

Justin, what do you think now?

/me begins working on a layout for this site.. sorta.
Sundown to sunrise worlds spin above our heads, and all we see are the faint flicker of light that provides them life from times long past.

I don't know if the forums have always had a fixed width, but I think it would be best if the fixed width were removed. I like to minimize my windows, like hide them into a corner of my screen so no one can see what I'm doing especially in class, and the lack of line-wrapping (or whatever it's called!) is frustrating.

Speaking of forum layout designs... where can we submit our ideas? I have a few of my own...

Fixed width is good, but personally I'd say change the color to a lighter shade of gray and you're set. That's much softer and less distracting and makes for a more comfortable look more often than not.

The header seriously needs to be changed, but then again, I've always hated the phpBB3 default template as a whole (Other forums I've been involved with that have implemented it scrapped the default layout immediately, and more so than just a change in color scheme), so perhaps it's actually less so the header and more so everything else that gets my eyes. It doesn't make the site stand out in my mind at all. It's an extremely forgettable layout, especially when you consider the other sites implementing it.

The gap stuff is fine, keep that the way it is.

I actually like the plain layout. You don't get distracted, and you don't suffer a load time, for the most part. It'd be nice to have an original layout, however I am not familiar with skinning phpbb3. I'm more invisionfree or zetaboards. The colors are perfect.. I love the black and white theme I have now ; ; It's decent on the eyes.

I don't prefer the fixed width though. In most roleplays I have.. People type a lot.. I'd rather not have to worry about scrolling so much. Plus it makes my widescreen monitor more fun to look at lol.
