((Time to try and work myself back in))
The young woman glanced up from her firearm as she saw Archer walk past, completely ignoring the comments from her teammates, having heard the spew about tobacco too many times now to even care. Hell, men in the military had their own ways of relieving stress, namely picking a hot girl in whatever city they ended up being placed in and using her as a fuckbuddy until they left again. Kira wasn't so into that, so she smoked. Frankly, she was doing the better of two evils.
She was drawn from her thoughts though by her interest in Archer's current attitude. He seemed pretty pissed. He called for Max and herself to follow him, so she stood up with a sigh, hoisting up her SPAS with her before following along silently. She hadn't been here long, and she knew everyone here still considered her a newbie. It made her feel a bit insulted, but since she knew it was true, more intimidated than anything else. She'd heard some stories about what these guys had been through, and it instilled a certain amount of respect. A certain amount of envy, too, and a harsh desire to prove that she could do any of that stuff just as well. But for the moment, mostly the respect.
As she drew near the vehicle though, she heard Archer talking on the phone to someone, quite irritably. Quickly she understood why. They weren't getting paid? Why the hell not?? She frowned and inhaled one last lungful of chemicles from her cigarette before tossing the butt into the dirt and grinding it out with her heel. So that's why Archer was so pissed.
He told the two of them to get into the vehicle and she listened quickly, not saying anything. She didn't know what he was planning on having them do, but knowing Archer, she was sure it was gonna be interesting. And probably something that their employers wouldn't approve of.
