"Of course, my dear!" Ayame crowed and the vague image of a peacock came to Ritsu's mind as he gracefully took his arm from the younger male and bowed to the girl. "One can only manage to go out looking dashing when their life is a tapestry of rich color and beautiful masquerade." Ritsu blushed at his gallant demeanor and nearly told him, in his quavering way, how whimsical he seemed.
He said nothing, though, except bowing to the younger monkey and thanking her for her compliment. He was wearing a spring green kimono, long-sleeved of course. It brought out his pretty eyes and Ayame had mentioned, while he was dressing that morning, how well it went against his carrot hair.
His eyes drifted to the roof absently and he thought back on the day that he had spent the afternoon on it, begging Buddha for forgiveness and pleading to die. He would have still been very content to die, and that frightened him somewhat. With another monkey, he really had no reason to live. Akito had told him a long time ago that he could be replaced easily. He was not special, and he wondered if it was true now that there was Lily-Chan.
"You're thinking too hard." he blinked as a set of fair knuckled knocked on his forehead and Ayame spoke to him, gold eyes staring at him in a cheerful way. There was a hint of worry behind them, as the monkey had been spacing out like this quite often lately.
"Yes." the red head tried to smile and nodded his head. The blond only laughed in a fanciful way and took his hand neatly, smiling at Lily again.
