Want to your Interest Check or Roleplayers Wanted thread to make it big?
Of course you do! We all want people to join our roleplays. It's just a fact of life. It's what we do here. This new contest is going to give you the chance to have your Roleplayers Wanted (RW) or Interest Check (IC) turned into a sticky at the top of the subforum.
So how can you do this? M make sure your RW/IC does the following:[/b]
- 1. Explain what your roleplay is about. This does not mean what happens. This is not a summary of events. This is the theme of what you're going to be writing. The purpose; what it is you want your players to walk away with.
2. Explain why your vision is so much better than the other users' vision. Why do I want to join this? What do I want a potential player to bring to my vision?
3. Explain what you expect from your players. How many posts a week? Level of writing? Why?
4. Who are you? Do you have any credibility as a long-running user, or are you a new user full to the brim with excitement? Relating yourself to your fellow users is important.
The basic idea is to do a bit more than just list what you want, who you need, and how badly you need it, laik omg.
Every week, myself or another moderator will choose a RW/IC thread that we feel does the best job of grabbing users' attention, elaborating on what they want and why you should give it to them.
That thread will become a sticky; replaced by another at the end of the week. I'll also edit your topic title to include the initials (FIC) or (FRW) denoting that your thread has been a Featured Interest Check, or a Featured Roleplayers Wanted.
The contest runs from Saturday -- Saturday.
