"So this is the only job you have?" Michael asked in the back seat of a taxi cab.
"Yes. Why are you asking?" The cab driver said from up front as he drove the vehicle smoothly down the street. "Is there a problem with the profession I took up?" The cab driver said he began to get a upset the more he thought about the comment.
"No, no, it's not like that. It's just that... You and I both know that you have more potential than this. You can do the same thing you do now, and make three times as much. You're probably good with people, because that's who you're around with most of the time. You must be good at math too, so you could easily score a job as an accountant. I know it'll take some money for school, but think about what you gain in the long run. Oh and I'll be getting off right here, thank you." Michael said to the cab driver before handing him fifteen dollars, and stepping out of the car. The driver didn't comment on what Michael said, but only accepted the cash and drove away as soon as Michael closed the car door.
Michael was glad to have been able to pass the time by talking about money and success, and now he going to do his weekly routine of going to the cafe with his friends. Michael was able to spot Guerin's motorcycle parked out front, and smirked, knowing that he would see his friends inside. Before entering though, Michael heard a sound that only lasted a second. He looked around to see nothing that could had made such a disturbing sound. He thought best to ignore it and continue on toward the cafe. Kai entered with a heart warmed grin as he saw his friends instantly. Angel was eating the sundae she always ordered, and Guerin was sitting across from her. Michael walked up to the counter of the cafe and looked to the woman behind it. She clearly wasn't paying attention, so Michael spoke first.
"Excuse me miss, may I please have and order of cheese fries, and chocolate milkshake." Michael said with much kindness. He always felt that your first impression was your last, and If it was good, then you would be looked upon gratefully. The woman didn't bother to jot down the simple order, and decided that she could easily get it for him herself, especially when there wasn't a line.
"I'll have that for you right away sir." The woman answered with a pleasant smile. It didn't take long for her to get it to him, is was fast food though. Michael walked to the table occupied by the two.
"Another Friday, and another day that we meet to eat." Michael said happily as he sat next to Angel. After setting his food down, Michael began to eat his fries.
