John drove through Savannah with his team. The old hotel they were investigating was just a few miles away. Through the town, everything was peaceful. There wasn't a sign of trouble. "It's hard to believe this town is full of ghosts, it's so calm and quiet." John said looking at Jill. The rest of the team was getting the equipment ready. "Do you think everything about this hotel we're going to is true?" He looked out the window at some of the scenery around.

Jill ran a hand through her hair as she looked out the window and decided to pull it into a low ponytail. "Well, looks can be decieving," she stated glancing over at John. "The number or sightings in this city is off the charts. Seems like everyone has had some sort of supernatural encounter. Whether it be good or bad..." she trailed off. They'd all read the case file. Two deaths related to sightings. It was a rare find to locate an entire city that was what they called a 'hot spot'. Now it was time to record the evidence.

John sighed. "True. How are you guys doing back there?" He asked Joe and Paul who were getting equipment ready. "We're almost there.'' He stopped at a red light and glanced over at a cemetery. That looks interesting. The light turned green and he started the van again. He looked at Jill again. "I hope this one isn't a hoax by some stupid kid like that old house in California. I hate those."

Joe Was prepping his EVP recorder, in the back of the truck. "Im doing fine, John...I dont think its a hoax, unless the whole town is in on it.." He smirks. "That would be horrible, though. If they all had a plan to trick us." Joe said, tuning a few operations of the EVP.
"Someone want to test it out?" He asks with a laugh, "Whisper something creepy when I turn it on, ok?" Joe activates the Device.
"Test, test. Normal voice." He holds it out for the other team members to whisper to.

"Maybe it's a hoax to lure unsuspecting people into town so they can sacrifice them to a demi god," Jill muttered darkly. It wasn't that she was in a bad mood because of the trip, it was more that it had been a long drive and being the only female in the van didn't help. She subconciously picked at her fingernails and tried to avoid eye contact with anyone. She needed fresh air and a good hunt. "Hey Joe, I think my hand held needs a new battery. Do you mind checking for me?" she asked returning her voice to a more pleasant one.

Paul sat there not really paying much attention to what the others were doing. He was checking out everything on his camera and making sure that it was all working right. He turned the camera on and started to record checking the different modes on it and making sure each on was working. "Alright... my camera's good" Paul said to himself as he pulled out the camera's case and put it back in so that he wouldn't break it or it would get dirty. "That would really suck if they where trying to sacrifice us... at least we would have it on tape and maybe someone could find it" Paul said smirking a little bit.

John just sighed smiling and shook his head. "You're so full of it man." When they pulled up to the hotel he looked at everyone. "Alright, we'll get inside, hear the story about this place and then get the equipment." He got out and waited for everyone to finish what they were doing. The hotel seemed like it was a real nice place. I wonder how everything in the world happens. How were there three deaths here? Some things made no sense to him about how the world goes.

Jill climbed out of the van and stood next to John. She tucked her hands into her jean pockets. It was a warm afternoon, but she kept her hoodie on in case the blast of airconditioning inside proved too much. "At least it's not thirty stories high," she commented lightly. "Can you imagine trying to find footage in all that space?" She was teasing him, but maybe he needed it. The solemn look on John's face was enough to damper the whole team. As their leader they looked to him for motivation and encouragement. But sometimes, maybe he needed it from them. "This place is going to be good," Jill said nudging him with her shoulder. "I can feel it."

Joe had hopped out, deleting his voice recording. He takes a deep breath.
"Going to be good? I dont feel anything good about this place, its too nice. Kinda creepy..." He says, scratching his shoulder.
Joe stretches his legs a bit and looks at John.

"So. Just the usual procedure or so we want something different?"

"Yeah." John said smiling. "I can't wait to get inside there. Maybe I'll see if someone will knock me down the stairs." He laughed. There was a slight breeze blowing some leaves around them. "Good thing no one else will be in here but us and those ghosts. I'm sure anyone else would get pissed." He smirked and started walking in. "Get Paul, Joe. He should be out here by now."

"Well if you really want to get knocked down the stairs," Jill said with a grin. She began walking toward the front door of the house and stopped to pull out her digital camera and take a picture. "Smile guys," she said turning and facing the team and snapping a few pictures.

Paul got out of the car holding his camera stuff. "Sorry about that you guys... I had to just do one last check over to make sure that everything was still good and I grabbed everything for my camera..." He said smirking as he got out and looked up at the hotel. "So this is the place..." he said quietly to himself as he looked at it.

John laughed and smiled at Jill. "Alright, let's get inside." He said. When they were in he started talking with people who had encounters at the hotel. He wasn't sure if the others were listening or getting things ready.

Jill was only half listening to the owners explain the builing. They were only reiterating what was already written in the briefing folders. Since she'd taken the call, she knew just as much about this place as they did.

Instead, she was distracted by the overall grandeur of the building. The richly decorated room with it's golden hews and orange accents gave it a cozy feeling. There was a grand piano in the corner of the foyer near the check in desk and she walked to it. She played only a little, but enough to admire the splendor of the expensive instrument.

After they finished talking, John went back over to the team. "Alright, just us now. Let's start setting up a base here in the main room." He went over to the table and started taking out some monitors for the cameras.

"I'll run the extension cords down to the basement," Jill offered. She left the piano and walked otu to the van. Opening the back, she pulled down the metal box they stored the cords in and opened it. Pulling out two wheels with orange cords wrapped around them, she hoisted one over her shoulder, carrying the other in her hand.

The basement was down a staircase to the right of the check in desk. Her feet padded noisily on the wooden steps that creaked from old age. The floor was cement and it appreared that they stored festive decorations and old furniture down there. Through one doorway it looked like they had a wine cellar. She located the braker and plugged in the cords unraveling them as she made her way back upstairs.

John nodded and finished the monitors as Joe and Paul got the cameras and EVP recorder ready. Suddenly there was a loud bang from up stairs. "What was that? We've only been here a few minutes." He got up. "I'll be right back."

"Dont get eaten by a demon or something, John." He says, laughing.
He smirks and continues to set up gear.

John laughed then continued up. He looked around and saw nothing so he went back downstairs. "I didn't see anything. Maybe a door slammed or something."

"Maybe the spirits are restless," Jill said entering the room. She gave them a crpytic smile and plugged in the power cords and began powering up the computers. She stood and pulled her hoodie off deciding it was too hot.

"Where do you want to set up the cameras?" she asked as she grabbed one off the table as well as a role of gaffing tape.
