A small long range runner hailed the station. " Hello station people. We are requesting permisson to dock. We are uh being erm, followed by an unpleasent fleet. So er we would like to have some safe time ont eh station. We have cargo to sell anyways." The captain was somewhat lying through his teeth. The cargo was illegal in most places, but cargo it was and the Imperial Dominian had finally turned around and left now that they neared the station. His weapons were still powered, but quickly they deactivated at the sight of the fleets around it. Pirates they were, but not idiots.

Lee still stood in the operations room, overhearing the communication. "Sir, I know it's none of my business but really if they need defense, the valkryie is ready to help. Even in this damaged state we can do a hell of a lot of damage. I request permission to undock and power weapons for defensive pourposes." Lee said, as he turned towards the commander of the station.

The light spacecraft, Nimbus 8, approached the space station slowly, its black hull glinting as the light from the system's star reflected off of the metal. Within, preparations were being made to dock, and thenceforth attend a press conference.

"This is Nimbus 8, requesting permission to dock with you, Gilgamesh. We have on board the Lady Katrina Ailyn, here on behalf of The Resistance, she is here for the press conference."

There was a brief pause, before the station replied.

"Nimbus 8, this is Gilgamesh 7, docking request granted. Please proceed to docking bay number 379."

The sleek craft directed itself towards the docking bay indicated, and the Lady Katrina prepared herself to exit the craft. Being in space unnerved her somewhat, the High Lady Neferata had hired this craft for her, as the vampires themselves did not possess any craft by which to venture into space, although she was told they were looking into it, but Katrina much preferred remaining on the ground, in a carriage, perhaps.

As the ship locked itself into place, Katrina and her escort, five other Lahmian sisters of lesser importance, descended the ramp that emerged from the airlock, maintaining an air of superiority and grace even in this alien environment. Katrina followed at the back of the group, her long and regal sapphire gown flowing out behind her, emphasising her figure. Her dark brown hair draped over her shoulders, falling to her waist, held back from her beautiful features by a sapphire headband. Her red eyes scanned the area, darting from side to side, before resting on the guide that awaited them.

"Greetings." She said as she approached, inclining her head politely "I hope we are not late, I am - as you most likely know - the Lady Katrina, here on behalf of my Queen, Neferata. I assume you are here to direct us to the press conference?"

The android simply said, “Yes ma’am, as several other guards walked around the group. “If the VRS appears, we shall escort them off of the property ma’am.” The security chief, a grizzled older man simply said, “If you need a proper craft, we can sell you one of our old machines,” he said, leading Lady Katrina towards the press hall.

Reporters from across the galaxy filled the room, while security lined the halls, searching everyone who entered for weapons, or bombs. This would hopefully go down without any major incidents.

“Trantor Central Press. Will you confirm you sent that suicide bomber who assaulted citizens of Trantor, and confirm the radical terroristic statements made by Sven Arito?” The reporter seemed smug, as he asked his question.

Gilgamesh Central Press, “ another reporter said, “Will your war spread to neutral outposts like Gilgamesh?”

The Lady Katrina ignored the questions thrown at her as she made her way to the seat at the front of the hall, calmly sitting and adjusting her dress, and waiting for her escort to seat themselves before she spoke.

"I had a feeling that would be the first question you asked. And I can say without doubt, that The Resistance had no role in sending the suicide bomber who struck the VRS yesterday. High Lady Neferata does not in any way condone terrorism, and any actions that our kin wish to take should be done through The Resistance. Freelancers who strike out on their own not only risk their own lives, but that of innocents. Vampires who wish, despite our own urgings and wishes, to register with the VRS should not be at risk from our Resistance, we are fighting against the VRS, not those who are forced into following its will." she replied to the first question she received.

"As for the second question, Gilgamesh is for all purposes a neutral outpost, a war outside of Gilgamesh must be placed aside upon arrival. That is the purpose of neutral ground. As for other outposts, I would hope that the war does not cause widespread damage, but the fact remains that vampires exist throughout the multiverse, and everywhere a vampire does not wish to register, and the VRS attempts to force them, our war is being fought."

With that, Katrina awaited the next question.

The captain of the Ninjin no Senso, a peculiar creature in nearly every applicable sense of the word, was justifying the adjective substantially as he sat sideways in his wide chair with the dissatisfied air of a child two weeks into summer vacation. His legs, longer than any human's, were bent at the first pair of his knees over the side of the giant pearl-colored sea-shell chair, with its sculpted, ebony plush arms. His back was slumped against the other arm, head tilted back in the picture of ennui, as the quiet of space drifted outside aesthetically antiqued-looking circular windows while the constant, soothing sound of numerous beings interacting throughout the vessel rippled around his fin-like ears.

"Oi, who've I got to leave for bothering? Has it not been quiet near a tomb's quality, or otherwise what'll you say?" He wasn't clear to whom in his crew he was addressing, and the closest thereof gave each other 'IT'S YOUR TURN' stares.
"Mister Mav is still occupied with his planet's matters, and we haven't heard from Captain Tashi for some time...not that you really need me to tell you this, but your list of acquaintances is a little short, Sencho." His assistant was quickest to reply, informing in a softly matter-of-fact tone.
The otherworldly captain glanced over in what was to be annoyance at his assistant, but upon meeting the artificial person's tranquil, if not quietly teasing expression the best he could manage was an immature scowl.
"Fine, fine. So what's then to be said regarding the going for and making of further acquaintances? The location to right and proper grounds, does it tell fair, Milady?"
He had addressed the ship directly. His silver eyes, shifting to a faint, curious blue, glanced over the massive, delicate-looking, but surprising sturdy screen set in odd shell-like encasing in the majority of the wall in front of his throne-like chair.
The ship, sentient in its own right, gave an eerie lulling sound, like a whale singing underwater as its reptilian-looking eyes scanned the expanse of stars.
The monitor's projection of space rippled briefly before the image of the Gilgamesh space station materialized on screen.
"Aye, there's a spot I'd to go gaze about." The captain nodded with a curious tone. "We've not been a place the likes of that, you'll concur?"

The captain's assistant calculated several elements of the situation in lightning fast succession.
"I would be more enthusiastic if I didn't believe you intended to explore alone." He replied at length.
"Eh, I'll be in touch, oath be took."

Shortly thereafter, a heavy, black traveling robe was added on top of his usual garments to conceal much of his physique, though rather than attempt concealing his notable wings, he simply had the cloak tailored to accommodate the twin pairs of semi-rigid wings.

He murmured his intention quietly to the ship, and the communication channel was opened with the space station.
"Those of noteworth and mention of the Gilgamesh and 7, you'll be having Captain Rhast'Azhr-Einmahrei's respects this very fine evening, and he'll about now begin requesting your permission and well-wishes for docking at this, the aforementioned station of yourn. Accords be thus met?"

“Sir…” one of the deck officers said to Sorrielos, “New people…”The captain of the space station simply adjusted his hat, saying, “Thousands of ships arrive here an hour, what’s so unique about this one…’ The woman simply said, “Its…. Obsolete.. like the Arcadia!” At the sound Arcadia, the man snapped to attention. Harlock wasn’t near here, but perhaps this captain had seen the crew. “Welcome to Gilgamesh,” Sorrielos said, “I am Captain Sorrelios, in charge of Gilgamesh 7. Welcome to the station, you can dock in Launch Bay 34-D, I’ll send a crew over there.”

The man sighed, as he then said to the other waiting vessel, “You can dock in General Bay 6, just pay the docking fee for trading, and you will be all set..”
Sorrellios sat down, the older man looking at the station’s defense guide. “Another day, another encounter, is this the work of being part of Tyrian’s defense guild…”

"Acknowledged, good Captain, and certes appreciated. It's in advance and with goodwill that we thank you for such hospitality. My keen compliments to your construction here."He added with an appreciative nod, switching off the channel.
"Keep an eye lifting, my dears. You'll have hear of it, should we encounter unpleasantries." The exchange from captain to crew was brief and doting, and captain alone boarded and ventured to the space station. For the time being, while he assessed the conditions of the station, the crew would lay so low that the ship might appear deserted once its seemingly sole passenger had stepped from ship onto the massive structure.

He regarded the atmosphere from around the hood of his robe, both abiotic aspects and the general impression of the place the other occupants were conveying.
"Ah, aye. Something of a docking fee or what such..." It wasn't easy to wrench his distracted mind from its rapid analyzing process regarding the foreign location, and practical matters were a challenge for the being's conscious attention anyway. His thrift nature drew a muttered complaint for fees, but the logical necessity for it warranted his compliance, and the due was paid.
"I may tell you plainly, I don't much care for unqualified persons to be aboard this delicate vessel here, she's a lady, aye, and a shy one. Her temperaments become all manner of discombobulated and it's sure a pain to have her settled again.
Won't budge nor operate without me asking, and nicely.
With that be mention, I'd take it with appreciation if you'd leave her to her well-deserved rest and privacy whilst I'm not about to supervise.
A certain shame it'd be if she took to fitting with nary a warning. Heard all that, you did?"

His instructions to the Gilgamesh's nearby personnel, even considering their qualifications, was essentially for the ship to be left unserviced and overlooked. Possessive and overprotective as if over a new bride, the captain was inherently distrustful of outsiders paying too much attention to his ship. But liars tended to believe they were always lied to, and thieves tended to suspect others with the intention of stealing. While he generally wasn't the former, he did gravitate towards the latter, and such occupations lent their risks.
His concerns having been addressed, his attentions were then directed towards meeting some of the occupants of the Gilgamesh, in addition to acquiring something with spirit to drink.

The sleek dark shape of an over sized fighter slowly came into view as the stealth fields surrounding it deactivated. It's angular lines painted in a combination of a Black and Red, on the diamond shaped prow of the ship painted in Gold Lettering was the Name Dawn's Razor. A name that sent shivers down the most hardened of police units, that was famous among the underworld of crime. Not so much for the deeds the ship was famous for. No the infamy was solely reserved for the Man who sat strapped in the pilot's seat, the glow of the instrument panel outlining his helmet clad face in a garish green glow, the T-shaped visor of the vacuum sealed helmet adding to the his infamy as it easily marked him. For while the Zero-G flight suit was a common sight it's T-shaped visor was not.

This amour clad man was known by many names, but the one most associated with him was the name Ren. It meant Blade in the language of Mandarin, a dialect of the country of China situated in the Sol System on the world of Terra.

" Gilgamesh 7 this is the Dawn's Razor requesting Permission to Dock to engage in Minor Repairs."

A few minutes of silence as his request was filtered through the numerous Requests hailed to the Docking Authorities. Killing the throttle to the twin over sized engines that lent the Dawn's Razor it's legendary Speed and withdrew the manoeuvrings flaps back into the hull of the Dawn's Razor.

The man known as Ren thought over his latest haul. Despite being nothing but a Mercenary by trade he had of late signed up with a Crime Syndicate cause the money was good and it gave him a better place to run to then some backwater asteroid field. His first mission had involved hijacking a Transport carrying the Payroll for the Terran Military, Escorted by a few Heavily Armed frigates it proved a tough target but the Dawn's Razor while outgunned and out-sized by the frigates he wouldn't be out maneuvered. And despite taking a few minor hits he left the escorts nothing but hulks floating in the vacuum of space. Boarding the Transport had proved easy after that, a few guards to take care of. Calling in the retrieval crew after the Crew and Guards had been slaughtered and sent to a horrible resting ground in Zero-G he had left with his share of the cargo. Checking the Star Charts in the Dawn's Razor Navicomputer he found Gilgamesh 7 to be the nearest port he could call in for necessary repairs he plotted a Jump Route. It's place in Neutral Space a major selling point.

And now I am in so friggin line right behind a Argonigan Police Unit, Well his Warrant isn't any good in Neutral Space. Ren laughed to himself as he watched the police Unit Stern. The Argonigan Police had a particular grudge against him, he had escaped from their infamous prison on the Dead World of Rikion 4. After reclaiming his ship and amour from the security lockup and slaughtering every single one of the guards, freeing all the prisoners and Stealing a crap load of valuables in the Vault lockup holding the Guards Pay.

As the guards went by the ship, simply watching over the functionally obsolete pirate ship, the message was clear. “Yes Sir!” the androids, and their leader said, watching over the ship said.

***

Sorrielios looked at the message, and several angry letters from district police departments. The captain of the space station at the very least was laughing at that. “Welcome to Gilgamesh 7 Razor,” the commander said, “I’ve already told the cop to either pay for docking or buzz off, your exploits are famous even here. Land in Repair Bay 7, 6 and 5 are full of Federation and have a possible bug, we’ll get you repaired and ready to leave as soon as possible.” The captain smiled. True liberation would come through the more crazy elements like that man.. that Ren… the Blade..

" Thank You Gilgamesh 7 landing in Repair Bay 7 Now, Dawn's Razor out." Ren replied as he weaved around the police Unit in front him, laughing the entire time. Federation in Bays 6 and 5. They won't be too pleased to see me. Come to think of it who haven't had I pissed off.......Well there is the....no I held their princess for ransom or was it blackmail. Who cares. He ran through his head as the over sized engines of the Dawn's Razor power was cut as the Repair Bay's Docking Clamps engaged. And with that he opened the Inner hatch door as as he unbuckled himself from the Pilot's seat, striding down the short hallway which three doors branched off, one lead to a small bedroom, the other to even smaller bathroom, and the last lead to a small cargo hold that as of now was stuff full of Crystal Vertex, trade-able as currency through most of the known systems. It held was held close by a suicide lock. Anyone but Ren tried to open it and the Dawn's Razor Self-Destruct would activate.

I am going to have to tell their Repair staff that. He reminded himself as he neared the back of the ship where the Engine Room was and the Twin Vanquisher Class Sublight Engines that each cost more the all the Crystal Vertex that the was in his hold along with the Hayabusa Class Jump Engine that had been retrofitted into the Dawn's Razor to turn from a fighter to Fighter Transport Capable of Interstellar travel. The Jump Engine was the main reason for the Twin Vanquisher class Engines, only they provided enough Juice to power the Jump Engine. But the Speed they lent the Dawn's Razor during Combat wasn't a bad selling point either. Though he did have to retrofit the Dawn's Razor with a new Engine Room to make the needed Space.

This in turn put the balancing point of the Dawn's Razor right on it's Stern. Although most pilots found this awkward after their neutral balanced ships it actually allowed Ren to Turn on the spot by using the extra weight as a spin point. Although it did take a lot of effort not to black out because of the excessive gs. But with the maneuverability that the spin point gave was in Ren's mind worth it.

Climbing out through the Boarding Hatch he entered Repair Bay 7, the sight of his amour and the T-shaped Visor on the Amour's Helmet causing a couple of nearby bystanders to recoil in visible fear. Something Ren as matter of course ignored. Switching off the amour's air flow when it became apparent the Repair Bay was Pressurized.
