Thekherham was scared, and he showed it by fearshivering. He tried his best to hide it, but the obvious sign of his fear was his tail between his legs. He took a deep breath, looked at his mother and father, who walked with the confidence of a khobharet which had cornered its prey. His first brother, Temžărhen, looked this way and that, at the different beings walking past them. As he thought of all this, his tail returned to its usual position along the back, its black tip hanging down.

^Where are we going?^ he asked his father via their whistling dragons.

^To see someone in charge,^ K’hŏrlys replied.

To someone walking past them, no exchange was heard, because father and son had conversed via transferred telepathy, from son to whistling dragon to whistling to father, and back again. When they did not want anyone else to hear what they were saying, they relied on this telepathic method to engage in conversation.

“We don’t know where to go,” Thekherham said. “And I’m hungry.”

“Me, too,” Temžărhen chimed in.

It was at that moment that Tez’hărhej decided to emerge from his mother’s chamber. One year old now, and still so small, still small enough to fit into that abdominal cavity that all adult Tereskàdians who had cubs possessed. His youngest brother looked around, clung closer to his mother’s fur, sought one of the two teats in her chest region, and chose the left one.

^I wonder if they have a playroom here,^ Thekherham said to his first brother. Kykherhenha sent the message to Temžărhen’s whistling dragon, ‘Hădholhaj.

^I haven’t seen other young ones yet,^ Temžărhen replied through his whistling dragon.

K’hŏrlys placed his paw on one of the beings walking past him, “Excuse me,” he said, hoping he wasn’t frightening it. “Can you tell me where we should go. Our craft just docked a short while ago, and we are new here…”

Xina listened what he had to say, very interested. She learned that they where one of the few species that roamed the universe when it was still young. She wondered what it was like back then. Xina looked down at the ground, he was right, they are a very fast race, probably one of the fastest in the universe, but they still can't defy gravity. She heard tapping, she looked up to see a horse that was covored in fire, somewhat like Skume. Her face lit up. It looked like such a proud, graceful creature. Xina nodded" Yes, their much of your species that the book never stated" she said" Does your horse have a name?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeeru listened into what the three where talking about. The two where going to enter a contest? He didn't really care, it meant 2 less people to deal with. He turned around and looked at Freasin" So where are we going? I'd like leave as soon possible" He said.
Freasin stared at the green alien blob before him. It had asked where they were going. Freasin could not answer that at this moment because he had an important question to ask the blob. "Do you have any weapons on this thing, any at al? I would like to know seeing as the ship we are searching for happens to be a ship that Trantor wants as well and I need to know if we can either escape the system with the ship fast, or if we can fight back. Because if we can't we will be space slag in moments. If your ship can;t fight back then I'll just install some added components" He then waited for the alien to respond.
[Wow, i really did miss alot. Just for everyone to no, my character is an alien species from halo called a hunter, i cant remember the exact term, but hey.]
Shavito turned down the corridor, looking around the ship. Moving his large bulky frame from left to right, not knowing where to go.
"Let us go to the weapons training room then" Shavito grunted to himself
He moved his big 12 foot, metal armoured frame body down the corrider, passing some stalls with random goods stacked up one upon another.
He noticed three life forms standing by each other. One was an odd species of alien, with wheels for feet, and an odd blue tail, it was unknown to Shavito what sex the species was. Whilst one was a skeletal form, emanating fire around his body, quite an intimidating creature to many.
Not being able to see the third being clearly, he moved slowly past the beings towering over them. His metallic blue tail dragged accross the floor, with his armour creating an ear piercing echo. He slowly stopped infront of the beings, Wielding his large shield and plasma cannon close to him.
Seeing the third form very clearly now through his Sonar visor, he could see he was indeed well suited up with a dark black armour.
He grunted within his helmet, whilst he fiddled about with his HUD in his helmet, to switch on his translating system.
He grunted in his alien tongue
"Do any of you know where the weapons chamber is?" Shavito asked in a mixture of deep alien grunts and moaning.
Now it was odd, watching a hunter in this sector, as a nearby guide said, not skipping a beat, “We have weapon dealers all over this sector and the undercity, what sort of weapons are you looking for?” she asked him, curious at the hunter’s presence on this world.
The man shrugged his shoulders and walked on, muttering, “Tourists,” as he headed on his way through the station. A nearby guide simply sighed, walking up to the unusual looking aliens, saying, “Hello there, well first of all you should follow me, we have to register your ship and pay the docking fee, let’s talk though, I am a PiAPT employee Type 100, or Hyaku Shiki. Pleased to meet you..
The bartender simply said, “Sirs, I didn’t get your orders…” she said, looking at the two, “And welcome to Gilgamesh…”
“Look at all these weird aliens,” Temžărhen whispered, his eyes wide, his snout slightly open.
“Hush,” Rhan’hă warned. “That is not being polite.”
Thekherham wondered how many different species were on this station, and why there were here. Despite all the different beings here, he felt lost and alone. His paw reached out and caressed Kykherhenha’s head. He missed his island, his planet. He wished he weren’t here right now, but there was no other choice.
His father was listening to one of the aliens, but what it said didn’t seem to make any sense. Something about registering the ship, and paying a docking fee, whatever that was. K’hŏrlys was telling the being standing before him that he didn’t have anything of monetary value with which to pay the docking fee.
“How much is it?” he asked. “We’re hunters… we… Perhaps there is something on the ship you might be interested in instead.”
Thekherham fearshivered slightly as he thought of the one who was in charge of this station telling him and his family that they were not allowed on the station, and they would have to leave. Where would they go? Back to Tereskàdhar? His parents would say that was out of the question. Somewhere out there was a new world where they could settle, but right now this space station was a stopping off point, a resting place, a place to gather thoughts and assess the situation.
He wanted to meet some of these aliens.
Kykherhenha asked him why.
Semit nodded his head as he stared at the hunter. He had heard of their species and the rumors were most certainly true. They were indeed huge, with tails and covered in armor. This one appeared to be carrying a large shield and had asked him where the weapon chamber was. Then an android had talked to his potential customer and he got very flustered. Was this android actually attempting to steal a sale from Semit? Semit would have none of it. He interrupted their conversation and began to say his own thing "Excuse me but I believe I have this. We have no need of your services" He then turned towards the hunter "Well sir I am a weapons seller, I have a variety of combat robots as well as weapons, shield and other gadgets for your use. I also have another special product not sold anywhere else, called Phoze" He then held up the cylindrical vial full of the blue, glowing goo.
"Phoze is a mutagen thaty can drastically change the subject's genes, giving them extraordinary abilities. Also when use as a weapon's power source it can double the power of the weapon. So kind sir do you wish to purchase anything?"
As the Database searched for the alien group that Thekherham belonged to, a note came up, "If seen, treat as refugees according to the Trantor Convention of 0079." The officer thought for a moment, saying“Well, you are refugees, so no fee, come with me for a moment at the very least. Our Chairman wants to meet with you.” The Type 100 noted the ship in the Database, saying, “I have completed the registration, so you are all set. Do you need to know any food or supply locations, that I could guide you to?”
K’hŏrlys and Rhan’hă followed the officer, their cubs tagging along behind. Thekherham wondered what a Chairman was. He knew a chair was a piece of furniture to sit on, so maybe this being built chairs. But why would they have to see someone who built chairs?
"We do need some food," K’hŏrlys was saying to the officer. "I'm thinking mainly of the cubs and their whistling dragons." He looked at Rhan’hă, and I knew they were communicating via their whistling dragons. "Oh, yes, I would also like to know if you have an area where our whistling dragons can stretch their wings... if you know what I mean. They've been cooped up in our spacecraft for quite some time."
Soon, I hope, Kykherhenha sent.
Thekherham was thinking of water, deep water. Kykherhenha read his mind, and knew what he meant.
A relativly small Earth Armed Forces cruiser was now only about 10 minutes cruising time away from the General Space Station Gilgamesh 7, it cut it's engines and came to a halt, inside the craft were several people, James mason, a Corporal in the Earth Armed Forces, or EAF and some of his squadmates, their leave time had come around and they had been sent here for their leave time, sending them back to Earth was out of the question, it would have taken too much time, so they had to settle for this instead, three months aboard this isolated station.
James was looking rather gloomy, he had been since about 2 weeks ago, his brother had died while they were on a large scale operation trying to colonise a barren rock planet called Horus 4, it looked completley worthless at first glance but below the surface lay many rich mineral deposits, the EAF had been sent there in large numbers to eliminate the strange, mindless and very aggressive creatures that resided there, James and his squad had been assigned to recon, they were ambushed in the rocky terrain, or rather, they stumbled across a nest, James's brother, Luke had been on point and was caught unaware when several of the creatures grabbed him and began to drag him below the surface into a hole in the ground, James, with total disregard for his own safety, madly tried to jump in after his brother to try and save him, it took four men from his squad to restrain him, a week later they were informed that they had three months leave time coming up and that they would be spending it on a space station in the neutral zone, all expenses paid, courtasy of the government.
James light a ciggarette, sat back and stared at the roof of the space craft as he listened to the pilot of the cruiser speak into the radio "This is EAF-02-delta to Gilgamesh 7, requesting docking clearance"
One of his squad mates who was sitting opposite him sat foreward and spoke "You alright Corporal?" it was Private Walker, despite their difference in rank they were fairly good friends, Walker was also good friends with Luke, he was devastated when he was killed but not nearly as much as James, though James tended to hide it behind a great big wall with the rest of his emotions and pretend everything was fine, James, without looking away from the spot on the roof he had fixated his gaze on answered "Yeah, Just not looking foreward to spending 3 months here.." Walker gave a sort of wry smile "Yeah, I know what you mean, they only sent us here because it's cheaper that way, hell, if it were up to the top brass they wouldn't even send us on leave at all" he clapped his knee and let out a laugh, James just took another puff from his ciggarette without replying, in all actuality James would have preferred if this were the case, at least out in the field in the middle of combat he wouldn't be forced to think so much.
A flash of light, like a star flashed, just a few thousand kilometers from the station. A Galaxy-Class battlecruiser had dropped out of warp just outside the station's docking space. The large cruiser gleamed against the vacuum of space as it neared the station. I'd better hail the station...I don't need to be blasted apart. "This is...Captain...Lee Hitsugaya of the Maquis starship 'Valkirye', requesting co-ordinates to dock." His eyes darted across his bridge as he waited for a response, even if it was to be the response of photon torpedoes against his ship's hull. As the ship drifted closer to the station it was obvious it was badly damaged. Holes perforated it's engineering hull, and burns were scattered across the rest of it.
“We have a simulated nature area on Deck D… Sector A, it should be good for that,” the officer said, “The chairman will see you now.” He bowed to the guests, and the chairman’s guards, before he headed back to the ship, to watch over the vessel for now. The chairman was inside, flanked by Motoko Attenborough, and oddly enough another masked prescence, who simply watched the others, his features hidden behind some sort of basic armor. “I see… you are the refugees from war…” the chairman started, the voice hidden behind a clearly machine produced tone. “Sit down, we must talk…”
***
The EAF, a long provider of contracts to keep soldiers rested and relaxed throughout the sector, sent another ship towards the massive space colony complex that was Gilgamesh 7. In the docking room, a team of relaxation experts, androids and people alike were waiting, with signs saying, “Welcome EAF.” It would be a pleasant surprise for the tired soldiers. “This is Gilgamesh Control, you have permission to dock in bay DR-8. Welcome to Gilgamesh 7, hope you enjoy your vacation.” The location was sent to the EAF vessel, as repair “Mr. Ball” space pods flew around, spot welding and repairing basic micro meteoroid damage.
***
The spot of light set off several sensors inside the space station’s operations deck, as staff went on high alert. “Galaxy-class vessel… its wrecked!” an android said to the commander of the space station. “We have signal…
his is...Captain...Lee Hitsugaya of the Maquis starship 'Valkirye
. “Sir, what should we do?”
The captain revealed a growing smile on his pale, older face, “Tell them to head for repair bay 0-1. If they can’t use thrusters have the tugs and Mobile Armors escort them there, they look like they are in bad shape. After they arrive tell the Guardians to stay on Yellow Alert. If whatever damaged them wants to attack this planet, we will need all the defenses we can get…” The staff all responded, as the hail went out.
“Captain Lee Hitsugaya, I am the current chief officer of Gilgamesh, call me Sorrellios, and as of now, welcome to Gilgamesh 7. Please stay a while, shop, get repairs, and as soon as you arrive, talk to me..” With that, his face disappeared, the com being sent over visual and optical communications.
"Roger that Gilgamesh station. Preparing to dock." Lee looked around and sighed as he spoke directly to the computer. "Set docking path for repair bay 1. One quarter impulse. Ready phasers and photon torpedoes. I'm reading power buildups in they're weapon systems...Target they're power generator, but hold fire unless fired upon." Suddenly the ship's weapons powered up and took aim at the station, as the ship glided into the repair bay.
Lee stepped off the ship moments later and headed to Sorrellios' office, hoping to not find a Federation search party.
The EAF ships engines once more powered up and slowly moved foreward toward the hulking station, the pilot had recieved the go to dock and responded with "Thanks controll, proceeding to docking bay DR-8 as per instructions, EAF-02-Delta out" he cut the radio so he could fully concentrate on the complicated task of docking.
Walker sat foreward once more as James stubbed out the ciggarette he was smoking "You gotta admit Corporal, it's gona be nice to get of this tub after three days of traveling" James gave a slight nodd "I suppose, at least I can get myself a drink anyway." he looked out the window as their small cruiser was engulfed by the space station, he felt like he was being eaten alive, as they glided in zero gravity, painstakingly guided by the pilot with afterburners he spotted several small drones busy at work repairing small holes caused by meteorites, nothing too interesting.
The ship came to a shuddering halt as clamps took hold of the ship to bring it in, they passed through a large blast door and into a box area, this was the decompression chamber, the blast door closed behind them and the ship was set down, the area outside the ship was now being repressurized and atmosphere was restored, the second blast door in front of them opened up slowly to reveal the docking bay where their ship would be stored once they got off.
The 9 EAF members onboard got out of their seats with eagerness, they couldn't wait to get off the cramped quarters of the cruiser, James was a little less eager about it but he got up and started collecting his stuff nontheless, none of them had any clothes with them apart from the EAF uniforms they wore now and their allocated 3 spares, none of them were allowed to own civillian clothes, they all had their weapons with them aswell, the standard Plasma rifle which they would be leaving on the ship and their sidearms, standard issue 9mm balistic semi automatic, they had balistic sidearms due to the fact that against biological enemies they were still effective, and being an infantry force that was what they fought, that was the official reasoning behind it anyway, the real reason was because they were cheap compared to their energy based counterparts, and supplying millions of troops with expensive sidearms which would probably never even be used due to most soldiers dying before running out of plasma rounds, was not economically smart, the sidearms they were bringing.
The hatch doors opened and they stepped out one by one to a small crowd of smiling faces, mostly androids, holding banners with large "WELCOME EAF" written on them, his squadmates were overjoyed at the warm welcome, James forced a smile and a laugh, though it wasn't very hard, being meeted by a group of smiling and happy faces when you disembark somewhere is a damn sight better than meeting an angry horde of aliens who want nothing more than to see you gutted.
The EAF squad walked over to the welcoming party happily, all carrying bags and rucksacks, one of the welcoming party stepped foreward as they approached "Welcome to Gilgamesh 7, if there is anything I can do to make your stay here more pleasant please let me know" James piped up almost immediatly "Yeah, can you point me in the direction of a nice quiet bar where I can grab a drink?" Walker spoke next "Good Idea Corporal, I'll go with you" he said with a smile and slapped James on the back, James didn't argue, he would have preferred to be alone but Walker's company was not the worst in the world.
The station’s power generation system was in the core area, but the Mr. Ball and various shuttle units surrounded the ship, firing tractor beams to tow it in for repairs. Antimatter powered vessels MUST e repaired due to the risk of an explosion taking out one of the lower decks, and as such, , repairs started immediately, the Mr. Ball mobile units firing beams of energy to cut away damaged sections, as other teams boarded through the various hull breaches, putting up “WARNING” and “TOXIC,” signs, searching for others on board to make sure people wouldn’t be harmed by the lack of air in some sections.
Now the Gilgamesh 7 station was massive, easily large enough to swallow the Galaxy class starship, but the lack of gravity made it easier to move the mobile units and other large scale repair equipment. If anyone was on the ship, and not leaving through the various docking ports, they would notice men in power armor, scanning for damaged areas.
“Damn, he is going to have to shut down the matter-antimatter reactors, we can’t crawl into the engine area thanks to all the particle flow,” a tech said.
“Welcome to Gilgamesh 7,” Sorrielos said, his assistant standing next to him, “Your ship is undergoing repairs, and is being kept in isolation in deck 4. What the hell did that to your ship, and was it chasing you?” the man asked. “I mean, for one of those to get wrecked, you must have encountered Dominon or Borg, but I thought we purged the Borg from this sector months ago!” The captain of the space station was interested to see what could happen, as the repair team sent him a message. “And could you shut down your weapons systems, even with our internal field dampeners (Note, devices that shut down weapons inside the station’s repair bays) that is a bit much. Repairs will be at 1/4th the standard rate since the Federation is good to us, and you Maqui are fighters of justice.”
Outside the station, one of the Guardians, the short range division commanded by the Archer leader, flew, scanning. “Federation Type… nothing to be concerned about,” the man in a dull red uniform said to the Chairman via a private com. “All is safe..”
***
The leader of the group said, “The nearest bar is on the Entertainment district, floor…” the guide looked it up, “Floor D. If you need anything else,” she said, “Call us, and we will answer day or night to the best of our ability!
Lee looked around, sighing. "Unfortunatly the Borg are to blame...You don't need to keep my ship in that kind of setting, it's not like the Matter/Antimatter Reaction Chamber (MAMRC ) is going to blow. We had to eject the core shortly after warping in. There were three cubes, we lost 70 starships. My ship and crew are the only survivors. The rest of the fleet is intercepting the remaining Borg Forces at Vulcan." His face was torn to shreds from the battle, parts of his face had reverted to his natural state, slowly healing up. "I apologize for my appearance, our replicators were taken offline, my crew hasn't had food in a week. 10 Forward is still ablaze from the initial attack. We were able to take one of the cubes out with an...unorthodox manuver." Lee said, gesturing to the section of his ship that had been sheered off from ramming the cube. "The Enterprise is with the rest of our fleet. Oh, why couldn't I have been assigned a Sovereign-Class starship." Lee at this point shook his head and looked at him. "As far as weapons go, I would appreciate it if you de-activated the dampeners around my ship. If a borg sphere arrives, we need to have our phaser cannon ready for firing."
They stood together, the cubs hiding behind their parents, their whistling dragons snuggling close. Thekherham could feel Kykherhenha’s fear; she was trying hard not to shiver. Right now, Thekherham was more curious than frightened, as he looked at these three beings. The one called the chairman sounded as if there was something wrong with his voice; it sounded… mechanical, almost eerie.
K’hŏrlys and Rhan’hă sat down in the chairs beside them, and their whistling dragons sat on their haunches beside the chairs. “War is perhaps too strong a word,” K’hŏrlys said. “It’s a systematic destruction of our species. There are those who think that just because we look the way we do, they have the right to take our planet and treat us as… as game.” His voice had risen at the last few words and Thekherham sensed the deep anger in his father’s voice. He saw his mother place her paw on his father’s arm.
Genocide… I’ll send Caster to investigate, but for now, you can stay here. We have a planet we orbit if you want blue skies, and not the cold metal of a space colony structure though,” the chairman said, “It is a shame, we thought those went away… such is the nature of life… the horrible biases. Sorrow.. the trembling sorrow.”
“Ai Senshi, Chairman,” one of the guards said, “Yes, hearing about war makes me sing that grim song, of death and destruction…”
***
In the chambers, various repair techs would surround the vessel, as a brand new Warp Core, built with upgraded technology from the Gamma quadrant. It was a bit more efficient than the base model which came from the Utiopia shipyards, but years of technology would do that to basic antimatter-matter designs. New weapons systems were being worked on, as they installed a quantum torpedo launcher, and several disrupter weapons, as well as an improved phase cannon system.
“Borg? I remember those jerks!” Sorrielos said. “I blasted them, and I actually downed a cube back when I was a fighter jock. They don’t come here and if they do, we will just upload Macrohard OS into their unimatrix. That should teach them not to mess with the Gilgamesh 7!” The man seemed eager, before responding, “Your weapons are too old, and we have massive scale defenses in this system. Borg won’t dare mess with railguns, and MAC cannons, but your ship… its ancient! I mean they don’t even make them anymore! We are upgrading it to..”
He pointed to a viewscreen near the two, “Enterprise DX standard. Apparently its supposed to be better, faster, stronger. We can’t fit a transwarp hull though, if your ship was an Intrepid or an Excelsior, we would, but for now the upgrades will make the borg think twice bout messing with you. Your 10-Forward will be stocked with the finest of synale though.”
Repairs went on, as armored men took apart damaged sections, installing new computer circuts, more advanced processors, the techs heading to the main computer core to upgrade it to new standards.
It seemed as if half of the ship was full of boarders, looking to make that ship faster and stronger than ever. “Sorrielos said the Fed ship should be leaving there 20% stronger than when it arrived, so work double hard!” the foreman said, “Make sure those fighters get in too, I want that ship to be supreme!” With that, work went on, the federation vessel now hard locked with Gilgamesh 7
nodded at the man, inspecting the upgrades with intrigue. "Interesting. I thank you for your hospitality. Could you have one of your people show me to a place to eat?" Lee asked, he took a picture of the control room with his tricorder discreetly before turning towards the exit.
"Are we lost?" Walker said irritably, James shut his eyes and tried to stay calm "For the last time, no, we have to go through the commercial centre to get to floor D" all around them stalls were manned by different species of aliens, each selling a different product, Walker was happy enough, gazing around in awe as he took in the sight, James just wanted to get to a nice quiet bar and drink untill thought was impossible.
"Hey, can we check out this stall?" Walker was pointing to some random stall in the hallway "Look, if you want to go shopping, go ahead, I don't feel like it." Walker put on a fake sad face but James ignored it, he spotted the elevator finally and made his way through the crowd toward it,Walker cought up with him and said "Hey, man, look at that guy!" he pointed at a large mail clad alien with swirling light's for eyes at a stall with some other imposing looking figures and a female alien with a tail, James slapped his arm down "Don't point you dumbass, it's rude." Walker smiled, looking embarresed "Oh, right, sorry" he then waved over at the group as if to say hi, James put his hand to his forehead and sighed, he was regretting taking Walker along with him, he walked off toward the elevator leaving Walker alone in the crowd waving like an idiot, a few seconds later he turned to find James was gone and spotted him walking into the elevator "Hey, hey! Wait for me!" he ran off after him.
