OOC: Alright, this is the starting post for our battle. This is a basic concept of the city and me placing my character in the city. I imagine the fight to destroy buildings and shatter glass and that sort of thing. Feel free to add on to the city and add more detail and what not. Alright, lets get started...
---------------------------
The sun was setting as night began to fall. Tall skyscrapers reaching up to the clouds covered the ground for hundreds of miles in every direction. Glass and metal bridges connecting the skyscrapers to allow quick access from one building to the next. Honking horns and speeding cars filled the air as a constant ambient background noise.
Glory stood on top of a building watching over the city. Her Operative who's code name was "Deaf ears", had informed her about a few crimes that were taking place around the city. She listened while he ran through the list of everything that was going on in the city. She let off a sigh and sat down on the edge of the building. Everything he was naming was of no importance to her. Petty crimes like a simple mugging- some guy took a lady's purse and was running from the cops on foot. The police could handle that on their own.

A high speed car chase was going on in one of the freeways that lead to the government district. The police had already cleared the streets and blocked them off with police cars. The guy was going to run into them and get caught soon. Again, she wasn't needed. "There is a fist fight that just broke out in a local bar not far from your location. All of them are normal humans with no powers, but-" Glory cut him off before he could finish.
"I'm not interested. Tonight seems to be pretty quiet. I think I'll call it a night."
Deaf ears responded with a simple reply. "Alright. I'll call if something else pops up."
She heard a click as he disconnected.
She turned off her headset that was built into her mask and hopped off the side of the building. She charged up a bit of energy, just enough to slow her fall and shot it below her to help cushion her landing. A blue wave shot from her hands and hit the ground, spreading static out in a large 10 foot circle around her as she hit the ground, her fall slowed as her own blast slightly propelled her back into the air. She landed on one hand and knee, it hurt from falling from so high, but it was a lot better than taking a elevator or the stairs. The sidewalk cracked from her blast and left the ground black with a spiderweb like pattern from the impact.

The city officials normally got angry for things like that, but Hydra corp always paid for it so she wouldn't be bothered by them. She stood up and began patrolling the streets on foot. If she saw anything out of place or strange going on she would step in to sort it out, that is, if it was worth her talent. If not, she would head on home.

OOC: I hadn't even seen the site these past few days. I'll be checking properly now.

"That's your target, alright. Remain steady; you CAN'T attract attention from anybody. Hydra Corp. Ops are the only ones authorized to use mutant powers. At all. In fact, if you can get to him without--" The woman's voice was cut out with an abrupt reply to the headset. "Screw that. What could they do? I just need to get back to the teleport station on the outskirts, don't I?" An annoyed sigh blared from the ear piece as the antenna was retracted and a grin flashed. Lewis Wells: Headmaster for a mutant academy in CherryWood. He found himself a fairly long way from home, hunting down a mutant scout that had been seen spying on the facility.

He was deep into an alleyway and hiding behind a dumpster, quite thankful for futuristic garbage not having a smell. "There's something about all the conservatives in this crap..." A single finger pointed out, aiming warily at a man walking far off. The lenses on the headset made it a tad easier. "Stea-dy. Stea-dy. Here we--"

-MEOW!- Lewis had accidentally stepped on a cat's tail as he stood to take aim. The startling sounds caused him to release a bigger beam than expected, taking out the scout and a good deal of the pavement with it. "Oh shit." A cynical response came to this, a plan devious and Machiavellian. His steps resonated on the slanted ground, he emerged from the alleyway walking tall and proud, whistling a familiar tune. Keep sly, keep sly. Good job. With a sarcastic grin, his gait was loose and natural, almost as if choreographed.

"Evening." He flashed a smile at the masked woman, not giving it a second of thought as to why she'd wear one.

Glory hadn't walked far when she saw a strange beam shoot across the street and kill a innocent bystander minding their own business. A large chuck of the ground was destroyed along with it when it hit. That was a lot of power for one person...
She froze in her tracks and just stared wide eyed at what had just taken place, although you couldn't tell because of the mask she wore. Things had gone from peace and quiet to crazy deadly in under five minutes. Her headset began beeping rapidly as messages began trying to force their way in, she pressed the button on the side of her mask to turn it back on.
Her operative Deaf ears began yelling at her about what had just taken place. "We just picked up a power signature in your area! We have the attack caught on surveillance, we're tracking where it came from now. Stay in the area as we scan to see where it came from. Do not let the person responsible get away!"

Glory stood still scanning the streets for anything out of the ordinary. Looking from one face to the other. People near by began whispering and pointing at the remains of the person that had been killed just moments ago.
And then, a guy walks right passed her whistling a tune. He spoke to her.
"Uhh..." She didn't know what to say to him. She frowned and stared as he walked by. She was still shocked from the attack, and he was walking like he didn't even see or hear it happen.
Deaf ears chirped in again and she listened to what he had to say. "We traced it back to a small alley. We can see you standing on the street from a near by camera that I hacked into and took over. Question that guy that is walking passed you. We'll get back to you when we have more information. If the guy is clean, question the others in the area to see if they saw anything. If he's not, detain him for questioning. We'll take a picture of his face and see if he lives in the area. We want to know who this guy is and why he just did what he did."
"Understood. I'll handle it," she turned her headset back off again and approached the man.
"Hey, you!" She walked up to him and grabbed him by the arm to try to keep him from walking farther away. "My name is Glory, I'm a Hydra corp. enforcer." She gave him a small nod and paused for a second to study him. He was a bit odd looking, but nothing else seemed too out of place from everyone else... from what she could tell anyways.
"Citizens are not allowed to use their powers within city limits. I couldn't help but notice a large amount of power being shot at that poor soul across the street, and that it happen to come from your direction. I'm going to need you to answer a few questions to see if you know anything about it. It's just routine questioning..."
No one else seemed to be in the alleyway he had just come from, that either meant that he shot the blast, or the person who had shot it ran away. She thought the latter unlikely. She had a feeling this was the guy who did it.

"Sir, I'm going to need you to come with me so that we can get this all sorted out. It shouldn't take long..." She shifted her weight a bit to dodge in case he tried to attack her, and prepared herself to chase after him in case he tried to flee.

Aww man, there's wrestling on tonight, I think. I'll just extend the kids' training another two hours if it is; I'd sure go for a pair of chicks in spandex beating each other up!

The thought satisfied a primal urge - he gave a silent chuckle and set off to his business. There was only a second or two to contemplate the hole in the ground before the woman caught on and went after him. Her first yell caused Lewis to turn around a tad disconcerted. "Yeah?" With a futuristic hum, the lenses opened, letting the pair of crimson eyes scan the inquirer. As soon as she mentioned her job, a mental tripwire was triggered. Hydra Corp., hmm... They're the ones enforcing? I have GOT to pay more attention to Aimee when she calls over.

"Name's Lewis Wells. Nice to meet you."

Her conversation turned to mutant powers and how their use was disallowed. Keeping cool, the mutant's expression was that of a strangeness and uncertainty, with the words 'why is she asking me?' going over and over in his mind: it helped him keep up the facade. "I'd love to be of help," he replied after she implied the interrogation. "however I've no idea what happened. I'm pretty lost, see. I fell asleep on the transport ship and I take it the driver was kind enough to drag me to that alleyway," he pointed, even looking at it before setting his eyes on Glory and proceeding. "where I was awaken by the impact. I guess if there's anything else I could help you with; otherwise, if you could point me to CherryWood... Please?"

All the while, there was a most subtle rumble coming from his stomach: a build of telekinetic energy that was charging in it, as opposed to his gloves as he usually did. This was because they'd change hues, making it easier to detect. I am SO writing a book. 'Lie to anything and anyone-- and have them believe it! By Lewis Wells.' The mental picture was hilarious, but nothing a little tongue-biting couldn't hold in.

OOC: Hmm, I was going to wait a few more posts but I think I'll go on and kick off the fight by dealing the first blow...

Glory squinted her eyes as the man's goggles opened up a bit. His red eyes were a bit distracting, she couldn't help stare at them. As he began telling his story she put her hands on her hips and shook her head. She wanted to tell him so bad that his story made no sense at all. Why would the driver toss him out into a alleyway and not wake him up?
Is this guy drunk or something? How come I always get stuck with the weirdos... She let off a sigh as she had the thought. She relaxed a bit, but only a bit. It didn't look like he was the type to fight, nor the type to flee.
"Alright, sir. I think I heard enough."
Deaf ears chirped in again, typing could be heard from his keyboard as he talked to her. "Alright, I got it. The image isn't very clear, but we're pretty sure that's the guy. It looks like the shot came from him in the video.
We found nothing about him though as far as background information goes, so be careful. We don't know what else this guy can do. Subdue him and get out of there. We'll have a team collect him once you're done."

Glory didn't bother responding, she didn't want to alert the man- Lewis, about what she was about to do. She began charging up energy in her hands. She put one hand behind her back so that he wouldn't see the power building. A small orb of blue light began to form in her palm, popping with static as it grew in power. She would get close and try to knock him out quickly. She already saw how much energy he could release, she didn't want to take any chances. She shook her head again. That poor person was obliterated by a drunk delinquent that lived behind a trash can in a alley. All the reason more to clean up the streets from such people.

As he asked her to point him to, Cherrywood was it? she nodded her head. Yeah, like that's going to happen. I'm locking you in a cell and letting you rot for a few years for committing murder.
"Sure thing, I'll help you out. Come with me. I can take you there myself." She waved her free hand to signal him to come closer, still keeping her other hand out of sight so that she could deliver the blow. She approached cautiously so that she could get in striking distance to put him down fast and clean.
A nice and simple palm strike to the forehead combined with a small energy blast should put him down pretty quickly. Besides, he's just another drunk that doesn't know how to control his powers. This should be pretty easy...

As soon as she thought that she was close enough to deliver the attack, she shifted her weight slightly so that she wouldn't trip over her feet in case she had to change stances again. With years worth of practice she lunged forward with her right foot, her left palm extending up with lightning fast speed towards his head to try and disorientate him with the blow. Her palm filled with the blue energy surrounding her hand. If he didn't get knocked out from being hit, she would follow it up and try to subdue him.

Her first phrase set off Lewis, turning him wary. Heard enough? That's what they say in the movies when they-- A hand was drawn back by her new foe. Having fought a few people versed in martial arts, the mutant knew it was a sign they'd throw a punch or awkward chop. There! The sound of static made his pupils enlarge, and had him adopt a stance in response. With his body turning to face Glory completely, his left foot slid back whilst the right leg bent, making a smooth sound on the slanted concrete.

Both arms rose, as did the previously charged energy to them. The gloves quickly went from transparent to heliotrope, responding on time when the woman's arm protruded. It was clearly an awkward blow, given the near foot-long height difference between them. This gave the mutant just enough time to react: a jerk of his right palm to the inside and he found himself shooting for her own arm before the palm touched him. If they made contact, the sensitive's arm would only be moved downward, her body somewhat turned if she weren't sturdy.

It was the telekinetic energy that made his defense formidable - as his open palm sought her forearm, the energy inside the left glove was used. In a second, the energy was shooting out through the pores in the alloy gloves, firing into Glory's direction in a cone. Its area of effect would cover at most, her head, chest and a good deal of the shoulders. Given the low concentration of telekinetic energy, the damage would be similar to being struck by an aluminum bat several times in the afflicted areas.

Only then did Lewis take heed of the building to the woman's right. Subconsciously the area was mapped out vaguely: the alleyway to the front, said building to the left, behind him the road and the dead scout, and to his right a highway leading to the outskirts.

The man turned out to be more then a drunk delinquent. The average person would have been struck by the blow, even if they were a bit taller than her. He blocked her attack, sending her arm down and away from his face while at the same time trying to shoot her with some type of energy. Her heart began to beat as her eyes went wide with realization of what he was doing. Because she was nearly a full foot shorter than him, she decided to use her size to her advantage. Instead of trying to keep her balance as he tried to swat her hand away she instead went down with the motion.

She had already shifted her weight and prepared to change stances for a dodge, so instead of trying to block the strange blast of energy coming towards her, she dropped down and did a roll to her side, using the same hand that was once going to be used to hit Lewis in the face to now reach down and around to her right towards the ground to help her roll out of the way from being hit, while at the same time twisting her body away from him to create a bit of distance. Since he had aimed for her head and shoulders it helped make things a bit easier, he should have gone for a body shot. As soon as she dropped down the blast passed right by her head. It was a bit awkward but she manage to barely dodge the blow a split second before it hit her. She was lucky to be shorter than him, otherwise the shot would have taken her head clean off, or knocked her senseless...

What is his power? I have to figure him out, and fast if I want to take him down. She began thinking rapidly to try and plan out the best course of action. That's when she noticed his gloves. She couldn't tell what they were made of, or what was powering them, but they were glowing with some type of energy. An idea occurred to her as she stood back to her feet. She hoped her plan would work.
She started charging up more energy, this time in both hands. Static energy popping and glowing with power, she didn't try to hide it this time. She lashed both hands out to her sides as the orbs grew in size. She would release the stored energy soon.

She took a few steps back to create a bit more room.
This time she would let him attack first, it would give her a better chance to defend herself. She brought her hands up slowly and got into a defensive Jujitsu fighting stance and shook her head. "You should have come along peacefully. Now we have to do things the hard way."
She noticed that the wall of the building was now behind her, there wasn't much room to go back any farther, and the street was now in front of her where there was plenty of room to move around. She would need to maneuver around to get out of the corner, otherwise he would have the advantage if she stayed trapped where she was.
"Alright, Mister Wells, last chance. I'm warning you now, come with me peacefully or things are going to get ugly."

Glory's use of momentum to dodge the attack unscathed wasn't as intimidating as much as it was a blow to his morale. He responded by turning to face her whilst she did the maneuver. There goes most potential for a quick fight. The groan nevertheless, did not escape his mouth. With her back to the building, his strategy was revalued, even more so when she was explicit to charge power-- electricity? There was a distinct crackling as she did so. Lewis analyzed a few of the possibilities as the lenses shut to protect his eyes.

Why on Earth did she corner herself more? Taking some more steps back, the probability of backup emerging from the building passed his mind, though there were no visible doors on that side, which may give him a moment's reprieve to flee in said case. More to his advantage, he figured. Whilst she charged her own, and offered him 'a last chance', he stood still, merely bending both legs and separating them shoulder-length apart. The weight supported by the haunches, the right foot advanced just slightly. A resonant hum could be heard faintly, telekinetic energy flowed, but his gloves did not change color, on the contrary: the energy within the gloves was lost! Transparent once more, Lewis' facial expression was calm, collected.

"You're already ugly."

He let out a chuckle and stared into her eyes, or what he could see of them with that mask on. The distance between them was a good four meters, becoming seven as he retreated warily, adopting the same stance as before and raising his arms with open palms.

OOC: ROFL! Lewis is now my favorite character. XD

Glory's mouth dropped open in shock as he... insulted her...
That was literally the last thing she thought he would do. That slightly messed her plan up a bit, but not by much. She let off a sigh. "How very mature. And to think I actually was starting to like you. I guess the hard way it is, Mr. Lewis. Rather you like it or not You're coming with me one way or the other."

Glory had charged up two separate blasts of energy in both of her hands. Now that they had a lot of room between the two of them she planned to use them. She continued to charge the energy in her right hand, making the ball of electromagnetic energy bigger. And in her left hand she aimed her index finger and thumb at him as if it were a gun. Thumb sticking straight up and index finger pointing out. Because he backed up she relaxed a bit, standing with her body turned slightly to the side as if she were pointing a gun at his chest with her fingers. She took careful aim, then, quite simply she spoke the words: "Bang..."
And let the energy loose.

She had no idea what was going to happen when it hit. Instead of shooting a laser, or a blast of energy to harm him, she shot the ball of energy off to work as an E.M.P., hoping to short circuit his gloves. Hopefully they were electronic, but at the moment she had no idea what was powering them.
The ball of energy was big and wide, about 12 feet in diameter. A giant bubble of almost transparent electric energy that slowly wobbled its way over to where Lewis was standing. It was just big enough to try and trap him inside when it got close.
Everything it passed by died as the electric power was killed inside of the device. Cars stopped running, cellphones cut off, lights went dark...
To the normal human eye the energy would have almost gone unnoticed. It almost looked like a heat wave with bits of lightning-like static randomly flowing through the bubble and popping with bits of power as it moved along.

She readied her right hand for the next attack, it was still growing in size.
"Wait for it... wait for it..." she mumbled to herself quietly over and over again as she got ready. She crouched down a bit low to the ground as if she were about to pounce, anticipating his next move. She kept her left hand down near the ground, and her right hand up near her face to shoot the blast when it was ready.

"I can't say the feeling's mutual, ma'am. I doubt I'd come with you." He winked, then licked his bottom lip, flashing the most shit-eating grin he could. Hey, if she was going to dodge something, he'd at least make it as uncomfortable as possible for her during the meantime. That should do. Lewis kept his eyes wary throughout the ordeal, staring intently at the buildup of energy in the woman's palms, the crackling growing ever louder, even if the shape were controlled. It spoke well of her use of mutant power, to say the least.

A gimmicky position to aim led him to believe she was fooling around as well. I just wasted a reviver pill. The mission was stupid easy, and this doesn't paint itself to be all that hard... Who knows. His eyes squinted, out of instinct if anything. Too slow to dodge, he was alarmed when he found himself barely a step to his left and an odd feeling overcoming him. Am I... Dead? Worried, Lewis turned to both shoulders, seeing the trench coat unscathed, and a tingly feeling over his face. Both arms stretched up, and he followed it up by giving a sidestep right, then another left. Nope, he was still kicking: feeling a little funny, but very well.

"Ehehe... You're really screwed here."

The energy that had never reached his gloves, the reason there'd been that subtle hum was now revealed. Telekinetic energy that had built up in his legs was now escaping through his skin and pants, quickly taking shape as a pair [color=#8F00FF] of tubes. About as thick as a the largest part of a baseball bat, they stretched out for the building, each about ten centimeters from Glory. Both attached to it at the height of her thigh, making it difficult to either jump them or pass below. With them propped, the space between the tubes at the beginning of their path, Lewis' legs, began to be filled by more telekinetic energy, equal to that forming the tubes. The space continued to fill itself frontwards, and would soon reach Glory; if successful, her thighs would be forced against the powerful beam, likely splitting the leg at that point, or causing a horrid laceration if she could withstand the entire beam's duration.

OOC: The more I read you post the more I understand what Lewis is doing. Is his attack going to force her legs to collide into each other, like forcing them together to cut them off at the thigh?
Er... Well I'm posting with what I think he is doing.

Glory watched as her EMP hit the man. The bubble of energy passed by him as if he wasn't even there and slowly dispersed as it floated on by. He seemed to be unharmed. She couldn't tell if his gloves-
The man shot some strange energy out from his... legs?
Well I guess that means his gloves and powers are still working...
Really? What is his power!?!

Growing furious that she couldn't figure his powers out, she prepared to defend herself. This man was starting to annoy her because everything she planned to do was failing. She normally would have power jumped the attack by shooting a beam at the ground, which she was planning to do if he had tried jumping or attacking her. But with the odd power moving above her, and another... tendril?
That was what she was going to call it...
Moving at her legs, it left her trapped where she was. The building was at her back, so nothing could hit her from behind. She braced herself, leaning forward and stretching both arms and hands out in front of her. She planted her feet firmly on the ground as she slightly crouched down lower, moving her right leg slightly in front of her to help absorb the first shock of the blast, and to keep from stumbling backwards into the wall of the building. She took a deep breath, she only had a split second to do things right.
She Moved her left hand down, about waist height and moved slightly to the left, and her right hand up just above her head and moved slightly to her right.
The energy she had gathered in her right hand was released.

Again, it did not shoot at Lewis to harm him. Instead, it shot down near her left hand and then spread out to create a electromagnetic plasma shield. She didn't have to focus it around her because her back was to the wall. She only had to cover her sides, head, and feet.
She put a bit more energy to the shield and it turned opaque. A deep transparent blue orb that flickered rapidly as the energy passed through it. If metal were to touch the shield it would melt away, same goes for a person. If the strange energy shooting towards her was photonic (which most things in the world were), then it would be held back, causing her shield to absorb most of the impact of the attack, and disrupting any particle energy flow that was within the attack and dispersing it around her shield, instead of through it.
She hoped this worked, because she still had no clue with what the heck he was shooting at her...

The force was stronger then she had thought. Surely if her shield wasn't up it would have broken bones or cut her deeply. The shock of the attack broke her concentration, but most of the blow was deflected. As her shield broke and exploded from the attack, she was knocked off her feet and sent crashing into the wall behind her. the wall cracked and crumbled from the impact, leaving a circular dent where she had hit. She fell to one knee as she rebounded and hit the ground. "Ah crap..."
Her suit had helped to absorb some of the blow, but it still hurt. She lifted her mask and spit blood out her mouth. Revealing her pale skin and busted lip. She put the mask back in place and stood to her feet. She lashed both hands out again, static energy leaping into her hands.

She didn't have time to charge up for a strong blast, so she simply clapped her hands together and shot a electric
energy beam straight for his chest.

OOC: I think I posted right... Let me know if what she did made sense to try to defend from the blow. And am I allowed to block, get knocked off my feet, and then attack again in the same post?? Remember, this is the first time I have used the T1 battle rules...

OOC: Your post was fine, though for future reference it's best to PM before replying. In T1 you get an attack and a defense post, the defense post may fully null an attack if you've got enough preparations behind it, or you can attempt a dodge, which doesn't require preps. As for attacks, these can be substituted for a single preparation per turn, accumulating and overwhelming a defense consisting of less preps. Also, you can use a counterattack, which uses up both actions, as it implies parting from a dodge or defense. Finally, there are interrupts, which is when you use your opponent's IC time in your own post. Say I throw a punch at you, an interrupt would be you getting closer and trying to knee me in the gut while I go for the punch. Is that clear?

Well she wasn't retarded, much to his dismay. He came to such a brilliant deduction when she braced for impact after being trapped. Lewis remained focused, a cold stare eying her as the beam came forward-- he was expecting the worst: anywhere from having the beam explode from a defense, to the floor under him collapsing from a blast. Until he could determine what Glory was capable of, he'd be at his wariest. I got you... Is this really necessary though?

In an admirable display of agility, the sensitive had managed to contort into a relatively safer position, with the right hand above her head; in a small time frame, she'd gone from prone to death to safe with a shield that emerged from said hand. The beam found itself continuing its course until reaching it, where a crackling took over, then a flowing hum as it began to spread over its area, finishing its course in the building and impacting it once fully spread. Its poor positioning resulted in a weak tap against its walls, with the structure not giving in one bit. Her shield on the other hand, seemed to react adversely to the telekinetic beam, exploding in its place, likely sending her flying to the building.

First blood. Press the advantage. He'd adopted a colder stance now, given that he'd started something, there was no choice BUT to finish it. Unless... I'll have SOME mercy. Whilst Glory retook her place, Lewis gave a step back, raising both hands for a quick moment, then having his left one dig into the trench coat's pockets, pulling out an orange cylinder with a screw-on cap. "Revivers. My government's finest. One of these and you'll come back to if you die." In a robotized motion, the cap was unscrewed and a pill was taken. "Just so you don't think I'm pulling your leg." With that, the container was screwed and kicked to roll to her direction.

Just then she'd fully recuperated and was firing a beam his way. Thankfully, he'd been looking in her direction as she did, and had enough time to at least brace, arms crossed in an X, his fists balled, hovering at chest height. When the blow landed, the better deal of it struck the gloves. Their complicated alloy dissipated the electric energy quickly, releasing it to the air as static, distorting the air around Lewis' hands. The smaller part that he hadn't be so lucky to absorb was now running along the trench coat, effectively shredding it and giving him a good jolt. His pupils dilated, and a pained grunt followed. With his arms stuttering, he managed to take off the trench coat and throw it on the ground. It was a little difficult moving his arms, but he managed to stretch them in a manner resembling push-ups a few times.

That bitch had better taken a goddamn pill. I got two reviver pills in my system now, the hangover will kill me... But I'll kill her first. Containing his anger, he'd practiced that when imparting discipline at the House facility. He took a deep breath and struggled somewhat, grunting and flexing his lanky arms, though it went unnoticed as the violet dress shirt covered him. Soon enough, the gloves were no longer transparent: they'd gone from white to han purple. A subtle hum resonated in the air, pulsing up and down. Up and down, up and down...

OOC: Ah, I think understand. Thanks for explaining. It's not as complicated as I first thought. I'll PM you though if I have any more questions.

Glory watched as he blocked her attack, that was expected. It wasn't meant to harm, just to keep him back so he wouldn't strike her down while she recovered. She needed a bit of time to catch her breath. She listened while he explained about the pill and kicked the container over to her. She eyed the orange container suspiciously as it rolled to a stop and hit her foot. Glory worked for Hydra corp., they were known for making drugs that boosted your senses and combat abilities, or did quite the opposite and would poison you or burn your insides out.
He could have had the bottle mixed with two types of pills: one that did what he said it did and was marked for him to spot it out so that he could digest it without any problems, and another pill to kill you if you took it.

She guessed he was trying to poison her to end things quickly. She cautiously picked the bottle up and unscrewed the cap, taking the pill out and then held it above her head. She began whispering to Deaf ears what she needed him to do for her. "Can you scan this for me and see what the pill is made of. I don't want to take it if it kills me. And I need you to scan his energy to tell me what the heck he is shooting at me. I thought it was powered by electricity but my EMP had no effect... Oh what now?" She noticed that the man was now standing funny and making odd noises. "I gotta go. I'll leave my headset on so you can talk to me. I think he is about to do something big." Deaf ears told her that he would get on it and disconnected.

Well, I guess I better prepare for his next bizarre attack. "Thanks for the pill, but I don't think I'll be taking it right now." She put the pill back where it belonged and dropped the canister into one of the pouches in her utility belt around her waist. She may need it later.
She crouched down low again and started charging up energy in her hands again to prepare for a block, or perhaps an attack if he left himself open to one. She now had an idea with what he could do based on what she had seen. He could shoot his powers out from anywhere in his body, and charge the energy up to store it without it being visibly detected. And when it came to attacks, he seemed to have all kinds of tricks up his sleeve.
Hmm, maybe it would be better to bring this into a close combat fist fight instead of a long range power battle...
Staying down in her low stance, she began to slowly move to her left to try and get away from the building and on to his side, slowly inching her way closer. She kept charging energy in her hands while she maneuvered around a bit in case she needed to use it quickly. Alright, lets see what you're going to do this time...

I hate leaving a corpse behind on a mission, BUT, I DID offer her the pill... And I'm pissed enough to kill her anyhow.

Glory bagging the pills was the one cue he needed. That cynical smile died off in an instant, his gaunt features could now be fully appreciated: pale, thin, with very straight facial features; he seemed almost like a skeleton under the right (or wrong?) light. She'd given him the time to toss the container, as such, the mutant reckoned to give her the time to finish the call, if only as a show of respect. His legs arced, and a deep breath escaped him, with his fingers wavering freely, palms open. As the sensitive circled slowly to her left, Lewis simply followed, inching away with the same lethargy to his own left, walking forward as well.

She'd not traveled more than a meter and a half with this slow pace when he pressed the assault. In a quick movement of his head, he stared at a single square of the slanted, concrete floor, lifting it off its place and revealing a white, mushy base underneath: telekinesis A, as he knew it. The square itself, measuring in somewhere around a square foot began to levitate two feet off the ground, remaining still for a few seconds before Lewis stretched his arm forward, causing it to rocket in an angle, its curve set so it'd impact itself against Glory's left knee or waist, depending on how uncovered her waist was at the time. From its velocity, impact would result in anything between broken bones and a heavy laceration, depending on how much that suit could keep her protected, as well as if the block itself hit. "What are you... Oh God, Lewis? C'mon! You've been stuck there too long, we need you back already!"

"No can do." His hand reached up to the headphone, shutting it off with a push of a button.

This was what Glory was waiting for. She kept the stored energy charging in her right hand as it now started growing up the side of her arm in static waves. She got ready to use the left hand energy for her next attack. She no longer needed Deaf ears to tell her what she needed to know. The moment she saw the ground lift up she knew, He's a mind bender!
A term Hydra used for psychics. Once she saw the ground hover for a few seconds she put her plan to action. She wasn't going to wait around for it to hit her, his intent with lifting the ground was clear. She wasn't going to bother with blocking or deflecting the attack, she was instead going to counterattack by going offensive. If she was always on defense he would just use that against her. She would do a basic attack move that she used often. It was one of her classics. It did high damage without the aid of a lot of power. This time he aimed low near her legs, the slate of concrete tilted in a angle to possibly hit her in the waist as well. So the obvious choice was to go up and over it.

As soon as she saw the square piece of ground lift off the, well... ground, she charged forward in a sprint. With the momentum of her run carrying her, she jumped into the air. Glory was already athletic, so she could jump quite high without much running speed, but she decided to add on to it anyways. She quickly pulled both arms up over her head, and then down to aim her left hand at the ground, right hand supporting her arm so that her blast didn't send her flying in the wrong direction. She released the stored energy and shot it at the earth below her.
The force from her own energy beam propelled her into the air, just like when she had slowed herself down when she had jumped off the building just a few minutes ago, but this time sending herself up. The ground cracked from the force as she shot an extra 15 feet into the air, her running start had set her in motion so that she would end up falling in Lewis' direction. She let gravity do the rest.

She maneuvered her body into her attack position: Her body upright, right arm pulled back for a punch, her left hand stretched out in front of her to help guide her punch, and her right knee was sticking out facing Lewis. She had used her left foot to start the jump, so that leg was still extended out behind her. As she began to fall down, gravity added momentum to her fall and attack. She aimed to punch him in the face a moment before they collided into each other. Just as he was in distance she reversed her two arms, pulling her right fist down at his head, and her left arm back near her side. The effect of her attack would most likely hurt herself from the fall, but it would do more harm to him by breaking his jaw from the impact.

He wasn't too hopeful, shooting the piece of concrete at her, but it would stir some excitement into a thus-far bland engagement. I can charge a little more... No, never mind... The strategy of charging energy whilst fighting passively went down the drain with Glory's dodge. Lewis began to walk back and right, keeping both hands up and somewhat retracted. She used her jump to lead into a charge straight at him: the relatively short distance gave him enough time to focus on her direction. It's all in her lunge. She's either shooting for me or jump straight forward... No, not a blast... The distance was now roughly seven meters, and there was no sign of a blast heading his way.

It was only until the blast touched the ground and Glory propelled herself that his reflexes came to. She'd attempt a flying kick, or a more dangerous lunge from midair. Either way, neither possibility worried him too much now. With the aim only time and experience had given him, the left glove went transparent as the right turned purple. In a split second, the charged gloves was going back just a little, then jerking forward with the index finger pointed outward. A fine beam surged from the tip of the glove's finger. Going along with Glory's own trajectory, the beam would find itself piercing either her heart or left lung if she reeled back for a fist, either way, its sheer force would push her back enough to kill the momentum, leading the sensitive to drop to the floor right then and there. When the beam shot, he began to turn rightwards, his left hand raising to cover the side of his face, and his shoulder facing what could be her fist if the beam failed to land.

OOC: Sooo... I based her jump punch off of the muay thai jump punch (Google it if you want), just with an added power boost. From what I learned if the attack misses its mark, you have almost no room to defend yourself and you are left completely wide open. And based on what I wrote in my last post I have come to the conclusion that Glory is pretty much screwed...
I can't think of a way out of this one...

The distance was too short, she was falling too fast, and he was now targeting her to take her down. Time slowed down as her eyes widened with the realization that she wasn't going to be able to pull any fancy tricks this time. She could have tried shooting a blast to propel herself in another direction, but her body angle was all wrong, she had already pulled the punch and was falling to hit him in the face. The beam left his hand and was moving towards her. She couldn't go higher, that would be no good either. She still had the stored energy in her right hand, she had never released it, but at the moment that wouldn't do much good. She tried to think of all the things she could do with the built up energy. The beam was now in striking distance.
She wouldn't be able to pull up a shield like that last one she did back near the building because her hands were in the wrong places. Since her left hand was now down near her side, and her right punching at Lewis, she would risk cutting her own body in half from her own plasma shield when she hit the ground. She wouldn't be able to block his attack and then stop the shield in time when she collided with the earth, she would fall through her own shield and melt herself...
The only thing she could do was try to lean out of the way... but only slightly...

The beam he shot nailed her right near her left lung, just missing her heart and avoiding a fatal blow because she tried leaning out of the way at the last second. It hit with an audible crack as it dented and tore her armor. It felt like someone ramming a pole into your chest while wearing a bullet proof vest...
Her suit helped to absorb some of the blow so that it didn't completely drop her dead, but sadly it also meant that her momentum didn't completely stop either when she got hit, she was still moving forward. The suit was made for stopping bullets, melee weapons, and hand to hand attacks, not psychic or plasma based energy. It stopped it a little, but not completely.
She felt the air get sucked out of her lungs as she fell towards the ground. Her own attack had propelled her towards Lewis with an extreme amount of speed, and she was now spiraling in a messy sprawl in his direction as she was shot out of the sky. The force of his attack had canceled her own and had also slowed her momentum down a bit, but she wasn't stopping since she had shot herself off the ground like a human cannon. There was no way she could have kept her fist aimed at him while getting hit the way she did. The last thing she tried to do before crashing into Lewis was to try and prepare for a tuck and roll after they collided into each other. Unless of course he managed to roll out of the way, which would just leave her preparing to hit the ground...
Her arms automatically curled around her abdominal area from the pain, and she tried her best to turn to her side and land on her shoulder while rolling to help absorb some of the blow from the fall. Either way, this was going to be sloppy...

OOC: I found a superman and a jump punch from an earthed stance, regardless, the way I got it originally was that you used the energy in the jump, with it adding momentum after flipping and beginning to fall. Now what I did in my post was fire the beam from a little behind where I originally stood, and just start to turn around. No dodging involved.

The beam was too thin to knock her back, it seemed, as a small deal of that impact was absorbed by her suit. Lewis cursed his luck in the fractions of time that followed. Damned Aimee for leading him here, damned the scout he'd gone after, damned the cat whose tail he'd stepped on, damned the two reviver pills he'd taken, damned the hangover he'd get when he woke next morning, but damned what was going to happen above all. With the scarce time, he hadn't even managed to show his shoulder to the punch, which resulting in the corner of it being grazed, and the clavicle receiving the rest of the impact. From here, the adrenaline rush helped him move his left arm, raising it and sweeping his hand rightwards, turning along with it, probably brushing Glory to the ground if her trajectory remained the same.

This left Lewis standing behind where Glory would likely fall, looking towards the same direction. "GAAAHH!" A pained yell spiked out of his mouth, his arm retracted back down and he knelt, hovering his transparent right glove above the wound. Not broken, not broken... He dared to touch the area, grunting and letting a few tears leave his eyes. It wasn't broken, maybe chipped off-- it certainly deserved to be examined back home. Being careful not to move his wounded shoulder, he used his right hand, moving it upwards and pulling another block of concrete with telekinesis. This time, he didn't bother hovering it, or any other fancy maneuvers, simply shooting it forward, aiming for her temple or neck, depending on how she fell.

OOC: She punched a bit like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaMeernl ... re=related. Kind of...
But she had to shoot herself in the air first by using her powers because she can't fly, so she went up a bit higher before falling. EDIT: Cutting some parts out of my current post. I somehow missed your attacking move.

Glory didn't know if she hit Lewis or not, she was too busy trying not to panic from just being shot in the lung with psychic energy. She leaned forward so that her right shoulder hit the ground first, using the momentum to carry her around to roll out of the fall. It hurt because she did it in a very sloppy way. The blast from his beam had knocked her left side upwards, spinning her right shoulder down closer to the ground. As she rolled out of the fall she tumbled a bit, digging her right hand fingers into the ground to slow herself to a stop, skidding on one knee. She then put her left hand to her side where she was hit. She was having trouble breathing. It was already hard to breath with the mask on, and now with being shot it was making it worse. She contemplated taking the mask off and tossing it away. "I'm really starting to hate this guy..."

Everyone else she fought was a cake walk. People with power that didn't know how to use it. Except for Ortega, that guy was a pain as well, but he had no projectiles, everything he did had to be done with his fist. This was why Lewis was worse, he didn't have to get close to hurt her. "Maybe trying to get close to him was a mistake. So lets try something else..."
Just then Deaf ears chirped in again. "Glory, I found out-" She cut him off before he could finish. "Shut up! I know already. I figured it out on my own!"
The energy that was stored around her right arm was lost when she got hit. She couldn't keep her concentration and it had dispersed in a static wave around her. She began the process of charging the energy back up. "Aw screw it. I need to breath!"

She tore the mask off her face, it hurt when the straps under her chin and on the back of her head broke free. She tossed the mask away to reveal her slightly scarred and bloody face. She would have been quite striking if it weren't for all the bruises she had suffered from over time. The scars had come from a long time ago and had since healed, the blood however was fresh from the recent fight. Her pale skin smeared with red, and her green eyes squinted with rage. She looked no older then her early thirties.
The porcelain and plastic mask that she had thrown cracked as it hit the ground and bounced off the pavement a few times, it wobbled a few times as it settled on to the ground. She took in a long ragged deep breath. She slightly stood up, staying low in case she needed to jump or run out of the way. She needed to stall a bit to catch her breath and regain her energy.

Sadly he didn't give her a chance to. She had to release the energy by raising her right hand to shoot a small laser like beam at the tile he had shot at her. She aimed at the center of it so that it split in half, the two sides passing by her head and crumbling. She didn't have to move or dodge out of the way as the pieces broke apart. She didn't stop the attack though, she kept the laser going and swept it down towards Lewis body, the effect would be minor burns and electrical shock since she had to summon the power up at such short notice.

Lewis analyzed her fall from a somewhat safe distance, having dragged back from a crouched position until they were about three meters apart. In this time, she'd managed to turn the fall's momentum into a half-assed roll. Not bad, but he wasn't going to clap just yet. BULL! He saw the clean cut into the block of concrete, and the beam nearing him, with his left arm downed, he only had the right glove as a defense to try and disperse the energy. Sure enough, the small projectile struck the gloves, running along it and up his arm. The violet shirt turned a charred gray before having its right sleeve crumple to the ground in ashes, revealing what was underneath: the glove protruded, covering most of his lower arm and stopping just short of his elbow. With Glory's attack dispersing amongst the outside of the glove, a few sparks managed to jump off and jolt the small piece of flesh that was left uncovered, with Lewis grimacing.

Tie your balls together, this is the last stretch! "Nngh..." The mutant stood, his left side leaning back and only his right oblique facing the sensitive. His elbow's pallor had been replaced by a bright red: a first degree burn at worst, he remained thankful for both the glove and armor, the second could now be appreciated as the short sleeve of his body armor could be seen: black, with a few metallic patterns here and there. She'd shouted into her headpiece before, but now she was declaring she needed a breather. Likely agitated from the roughing they'd just had, he opted to give it to her.

With two steps back, he lowered the tall frame a little, blowing out slowly. As he did, an accelerated humming, then a purr, the purr turned to a species of whistle, distorting the sound until it was a series of robotic pings. The right glove began to change color rapidly: medium purple, orchid, and finally navy blue, at which point he was visibly strained for a moment, closing his eyes for a second and opening them with a calm, collected visage. He stood up straight, facing her with the right side, his arm going up and all fingers pointed at Glory with his open palm. His left remained down and out of harm's way for the time being.
