Gods (OOC)(Restart) ~ No longer accepting. ( )

Postby Saxious on Fri Aug 28, 2009 11:15 am

Hello everyone, the RPers from the previous God RP decided that we should redo this RP and get more literate RPers with us this time, so without further a due, I'll get on with the intro. WARNING: It is a bit long...sorry!
For those of you who participate din the previous one, just submit your older character, and then it will be automatically accepted.

Gods IC

Introduction
Your lands, your cities, most of your people...are all gone now. The island you used to share with the many other deities has now become but a fine print in your once glorious and breathtaking history, how did it all come to this? War. War between the mortals caused the destruction of your former lands, the lack of resources caused the people to become desperate, and the greed for expanding power caused many gods to declare never ending immortal wars between each other, and ultimately, the very land that everyone lived on couldn't take it anymore and the island just sunk into the depths of the large sea, ravaged by centuries of warfare and those who has managed struggled to find a new place to call 'home'.

Your people has now found a new island, they have begun settling, rebuilding, reinventing, and restarting your cultures, everything is looking promising for you, their beloved god and the future of your people looked bright...or did it? It turns out that other factions, both allies and foes, has found the exact same island and are building up their power...Now, after a single century of building up your mortal numbers, it is up to you, your people's god, and avatar leader, to rebuilt your civilization again and then let the fate of this island be determined through your faith, philosophies, and the power of war. Will it be an island of peace where everyone will live side by side? Will you try to band all these people together under a single banner and god? Or will history really repeat itself?

This world's fate, will be decided when the sun is highest...when the sun is sinking, the fate of the world shall be determined.

Here's the character Sheet. Feel free to add more if you want to.

Alright, now for some rules and clarifications:
Rules:
1. No god-modding ~ By that, I mean, you cannot make an army appear in front of your enemy in just a single post (maybe for cavalry), give it an reasonable amount of time.

2. Romance is allowed, but please...I will admit I am, personally, a bit young minded, so if you want to 'do it' just say you did it, and if you want to go further, please use the blessed PM option.

3. Keep this rated T, but that doesn't mean you should hold back juicy descriptions about battles, environment, people, etc.

4. Keep cursing to a mininum ~ By that, since we will be in a medieval time, no: "Fuck you! I'll kill y'all motherfuckering pussies!"...okay? Medival time, but 'Moron, idiot, and bastard' and such are perfectly allowed.

5. Write at LEAST one paragraph, 4-5 lines. We are aiming for a bloody literate RP here, so if you can't do that...sorry, you are at the wrong RP mate, and we will kick you out if you can't satisfy. Also, try to post once a week (but it has to be a good post) and respond.
:NOTE: We completely understand that you may not be able to write so much if your not interacting with as much as the other of us, or if something suddenly came up, just tell us okay? We don't bite that hard.

6. Gods cannot change the land of neutral territory or other gods' domains.

7. You can have a max of 3 gods to play.

Clarifications:
Avatar: This is your immortal/mortal leader of your people. what I mean by 'immortal/mortal', I mean that your avatar can't die from age, but he/she/it can still be killed by other mortal matters, such as poison and murder (of course, this is up to you to decide if it will happen). There can only be one avatar at the time guys, so no 'Avatar Army' okay?

Secondary Characters: Other characters you may create amongst your people, like generals, special servants, high priests, etc. These people are pure mortals, but they are better than the average people and perhaps close to the avatar himself/herself! There is no limit for how many you can have of these people, and like the avatar, you decide when they die.

Wounds: Just in general, I would encourage everyone to give some bruisers and cuts to your 'good guys'. This is optional, so no pressure here, just a suggestion/tip.

New Races: Well, the world will already have orc, ogres, dwarfs and elves (supposing the other players will join), but please inform everyone about the creation of a new race, and include, in a post, about their creation.

Technology:
To narrow it all down, we are going to be in a fantasy late-medieval time, so...Muskets, pistols and gunpowder bombs are allowed, but this a rather new technology, so it isn't something that will be found in the local store, only the armies can afford to make these weapons, and like the Warhammer Fantasy World, it is encouraged to invent your own weapons that are based on gunpowder and 'primitive' alchemy.

Now...for my Gods!

God Name: Mask
Avatar Name: Jack, Chairman of the Shadow Table
Title: God of Criminality and Corruption
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral Evil (his deeds makes him evil)
Terrain Preference: Cities, towns...anywhere where there lives humans.

Opinion of Humans:
"Corruption is deep within them, no matter how much they try to hide it. Criminality is everywhere, stopping it is like stopping the sun from sinking. All in all, humans are wonderful beings!"
"You need not to pray words...pray in actions...pray with lies...pray with your true self!"
~Mask, God of the Criminals
"As long as there are humans, there is the Shadow Table"
~Jack, Don of Dons

God Appearance:
Image

Avatar Appearance:
Image

Personality:
Jack wants respect for being who he is, and nothing can change that. He always wears two masks (one under the other), and to take the first one off him is like signing your own death, and take the second one off, reveals his real face (which none has ever seen and lived) and the result is that he will hunt you down, torture you, and then hand your dead corpse up, like a dead pig.
If you can get onto his good side (which few has done, sue to his constant fear of being back stabbed, you will get a man with a lot of power who will stand by your side for a VERY long time, though it is hard.

Jack is the greatest don of the country (due to his market and cruelty), thus the other thief, assassin, and thug Guilts respect his crime family (called for Black And White (due to the colours of Jack's mask, and his elite men wears similar masks as his)). Jack earns his money out of smuggling, blackmailing wealthy families, running a few large black markets, and making sure that everything that comes into 'his towns' goes through his family and pays their share.

Other:
Jack usually wears a black cape, black leather armor with iron nits, and wields a scimitar, throwing knives, daggers, and a few more hidden weapons. He is an expert in hand-to-hand combat, and knows a few fighting styles (e.g Karate and Judo)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God Name: Urgael
Avatar Name: Mortorn
Title: God of the Orcs, Ogres and War
Gender: Male
Alignment: Evil
Terrain Preference: Open plains
Opinion of Humans:
"They are weak! They should all die!" ~Urgael
"They have gold...they have land...they have all I need, and they give me a good fight...why stop the Cycle of Hatred now when it is the most fun?" ~Mortorn
God Appearance:
Image

Avatar Appearance:
Image

Personality: Both god and avatars are orcs that are constantly yelling, using their thunderous voice to get the attention of their enemies and their allies. They both see humans as weaklings, and obstacles to create a perfect Orc World, so they are always plotting how to destroy the humans in Total War.
They have a twisted sense of honor, such as killing the ones who are armed, and then kill the ones who are not even quicker, and although Urgael is the god and creator of the orcs, Mortorn is actually smarter than him, and has more logic than his own master, sometimes making Ugael having to ask his own avatar for advice, or represent the orcs when there are meetings of the Gods, though Urgael always suspects that Mortorn will try to turn against him, Mortorn is more loyal than he realizes.
Urgael is the God the orcs worship before and after battles, but in the daily life, they all see Mortorn as the 'True God of the Orcs,' as he has united the clans into a single mighty force, given them all land and food, and slaves they can use for 'sport.' It is good for Mortorn, as his very presence makes the orcs fight even fiercer and more ferociously, to please their leader.

Other:
I will use the orcs from Lord of the Rings, instead of the Warhammer and Warcraft types, whom I think is a little too powerful in hand-to-hand combat, plus the orcs from Lord of the Rings are more original and closer to being human-like (not to mention their stupidity).
Also, I think I'll keep the fact that the orcs multiply quickly, but I'll in return reduce their strength to an average human (for else they might be a bit too much of an over powered race).
The ogres look like [url=http://wow.stratics.com/content/features/Expansions/bc/Outland/images/gronn.jpg]this[url], and they are basically like elephants, smart but in a stupid way. Like animals, they are afraid of fire and the whips the orcs use to 'tame' them with, and since they have spikes in their backs, they cannot have any armor on (save for their tough hide). A single orc is used to control them during battles as the ogres are mostly used as anti-cavalry beasts.

I will probably join.
I like tactical role-plays.

However, the word 'fuck' was invented in medieval times.

Rebirth Pending...

God Name:
Nemea
Avatar Name:
*Deceased*
Annipe
Orphei
Kal-Minar
*Living*
Gairus-Nar
Title:
Goddess of Technology, Ambition, Gossip, Weaving and Merchants
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Evil
Terrain Preference:
Against mountains and secluded, easily fertilized valleys, as well as along the coasts. It is best to control trade routes, particularly through deserts and mountains. Maintaining control of fresh water supplies is also a great way of controlling people.
Opinion of Humans:
Humans are the ultimate resource, without them the Gods are nothing, but they are manipulated, and prone to passion. They have a divine spark, and ambition, a gift above all else in the world, they will inherit all the Earth, and it is my job to rule over them when that happens.

While humans long for a place in heaven, while living lives bent towards hell, Dwarves seek perfection in all things, and believe that war and courage and honor are things surpassing even the deities. Idiots. They are mine and mine alone!

My Golden Guard is a power far beyond mortal comprehension, and when last they entered the human realm my plans were foiled, I will not let such a failure occur again.

God Appearance:
Nemea has two forms. When her power has been focused outward, on her people or new creations, she is an old woman, with hair of dusty gray and skin which hangs off a decrepit old skeleton. Her hands are gnarled and gross, but work more skillfully and hold a mastery beyond any other. She will wear 1000 layers each as thin as sunlight, which furious flap about her when she exercised her power, and are of browns and golds and other earth tones, struck with green detailing. She has a brooch with three Styli crossed, her symbol. She will smell of smoke in this form.

When she is focusing on herself and deceit, she will be a beautiful dancer girl with hair darker than night, and dark skin which radiates with warmth. Her gray eyes turn vivid greens and her body becomes supple and youthful again. She cannot create as brilliantly in this form, for she is using her power to make herself beautiful, not her creation. Her body will be wrapped in entwining layers of blues and green, with silver jewelry which jangles about as she moves. Her hair will be decorated with pearls, and she will give off the smell of sacred vanilla.

In either form she can hide her divine radiance and walk about mortals, though with care.
Avatar Appearance:
Gairus-Nar is a beautiful man. A chiseled body with perfect Dendapim form, he looks to be, himself, carved from solid stone. He is the example of a perfect Dendapim, strong, efficient, yet beautiful. He has skin slightly darker than honey, with a head of utterly black hair to his shoulders. He wears the Starweave, the holy grail of the Dendapim, which holds Nemea's unabridged power, and cannot be taken from its wielder, only given. He removes it only for the pleasures of the flesh. He holds a "Dragon Gun" (Imagine an oriental dragon pulled out straight, the head being the butt of the gun, the tail extending into a sweeping bayonet) Which is decorated with the Dendapim colors of Green, Blue, and White. Otherwise he wears a crown with two prongs on either side, and three crossed Styli on the crown, representing the two lost towers of Alchemy, and the hearth of Nemea.

Personality:
God:
A cruel goddess in most respects, Nemea has a very deep understanding of human nature, and wishes to abuse the gift of ambition. She will happily take credit for anything the Dendapim will give her credit for, like the industry of bees or the resilience of shellfish to protect their meat. She "lost" herself into a desert, and there discovered some dark and evil things, including the ability to defy the very nature of the universe. This corruption was caused by a grief from the destruction of her city of Kel'p-Hai, and the powers she learned from that experience were enough to destroy the human soul, the second most powerful thing in existence, which no divine thing can alter, so she used something even more powerful, love. This act was defying not just nature, but the foundations of existence, and it something more than evil.

Yet still she puts on a smiling face, and the deities can only assume it was her horrid act, for just when her plan could have come full circle, and a greater power realized, Little Sudri was lost from the Elves... now she must try again.
Avatar:
Gairus-Nar considers himself (Rightfully, some agree) To be the most perfect being in existence, part of a greater culture that surpasses all others, and thus deserves the most. He is taught as Nemea would like, and believes the Dendapim are the most worthy of ruling the world. He is easily distracted by beauties and physical desires, however.
Other:
Nemea rules over a people collectively called the Dendapim, who are, in a greater sense, an ethnicity similar in appearance to Middle Easterners, having dark skin and dark hair, but with eyes of a variety of colors, actually due to the toxins present in their old city, which just became part of them. They live in a country called Aruvorne, and speak a language called Nyarlathotepna. They use a purely cursive abugida style script, to write their language which relies on trills not found in any other language to separate nouns and verbs and present from past, in a rather complicated system. They pride themselves on having single words for more complex ideas, such as "Tasting like something else smells" or, "Something which is the best that can be, though it was made from something worthless" The latter is "Zi" which is a very important word to the Dendapim, as they believe it describes themselves.

Nemea is part of a trinity with Yorinaphe and Grumpsh. The item which represents her power specifically is the staff of Esec-Zi, which is a long clockwork stave which is slowly releasing all the technology of the world. It is topped with three crossed styli which hold a bowl of copper which never tarnishes, and is constantly burning with fire from the depths of the machine. It is decorated with copper leaves on copper vines, meant to mock nature, being eternally golden and beautiful, while true leaves must wither into the Earth. It is unknown where the staff is, though it used to be the scepter of the ruler of Aruvorne, it was lost when Orphei died and it fell into the sea. The fire still burns under water, and the various technologies it releases are still being learned around the world.

God Name:
Yorinaphe, Called Enya

Avatar Name:
*Deceased*
Orphei
Title:
Goddess of Perfection, Teaching, and Mastery.
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Ultimately Good
Terrain Preference:
The Land of the Dead, where she lingers and studies.
Opinion of Humans:
They are beautiful, and capable of great things, but they cannot see their fate, and they do not know what they do!
God Appearance:
Yorinaphe is perfect. Physically, none can surpass her. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so she may appear different to different tastes. Her skin usually seems to fade in and out, as though she were a ghost, or made of dew, and her hair is silver. Her irises are radially decorated with blue and green, and her whites are as stunning as her teeth. Her divine aura is almost always hidden within her, so her hair does not shine and her eyes do not glow. She wears clothes that seem humble to her breathtaking form.
Avatar Appearance:
The closest thing to an Avatar Yorinaphe has is her disguise as Enya. She appears to be a woman in the prime of her youth, but with tear filled eyes and hair that, though expected to be full of life, is gray. Her skin is usually very, very pale, and all the more ghostlike. She no longer looks like the dark skinned, bright eyed, vivacious Dendapim beauties.
Personality:
God:
Yorinaphe gained free will after her mother destroyed the soul of her beloved, Orphei. This has made her skeptical of the gods, except for Crypt, who she respects as a God who will embrace any and sees the joys of life and death.

Other: Yorinaphe lives with the followers of Crypt, or else in hiding, studying, doing everything she can to inhibit her mother's evil, and trying to forget Orphei, so that he might again regather and be whole.

God Name:
Grumpsh

Avatar Name:
Sudri the Great
Title:
God of Natural Talent, Metalworking, and Mining.
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Neutral
Terrain Preference:
The veins, bones, heart and marrow of the mountains.
Opinion of Humans:
Humans are to be respected, but they only know killing. While they may not deserve the world, they shall receive it, and it is up to my Dwarves to support them, but in no circumstances should a Dwarf compromise their honor.
God Appearance:
Picture a great, bearded Dwarf, with the antlers of an elk, but about 9 feet tall. Most of his torso is covered with a great beard, and his head with a great mane. He is infinitely strong, and dresses simply.
Avatar Appearance:
Sudri is the greatest of Dwarf craftsmen. His hair is straight, which is strange for a dwarf, and is red with a touch of silver as though he had decorated it himself. His face is jolly and bright, and his beard is the color of his hair, tied into three parts. He wears magnificently soft white robes, with silver detailing. He wears a scale male of attached hexagons, each hex decorated with a unique rune, and shoulder pads of powerful steel. He often is decorated with pearls, but on his finger is a ring of amber, the band is split, and it never leaves his hand. He wears a helm like a crown, with the two towers of Alchemy and the crossed styli, as well as a place for a round jewel to go... that jewel is the Dashuria, which he misses dearly, but lost to the Elves.
Personality:
God:
Grumpsh is silent and watchful, guiding his Dwarves faithfully, and granting innate talent to the newborn humans. He does this without bias, for he cannot see the future, or their past lives, and can only hope his gift will not be in vain.
Avatar:
Sudri is a world traveler, and highly cultured. He has stayed with most of the peoples on the island, and now leads the Dwarves to safety and greatness. He wishes he had not run away when his greatest nightmare occurred, and though he hates the Elves for betraying him (as he was told they did) he longs to see their city and know their culture.
Other:
Grumpsh is the top of the pyramid trinity of Aruvorne. He is natural talent, at his right is what he dominates, Nemea, ambition, and to his left is Yorinaphe, which Nemea dominates, and which dominates him, good teaching. So Natural skill, beats ambition, ambition beats good teaching, and good teaching beats natural skill.

God Name: Blue Eyes
Avatar Name: Vivian
Title: Forest goddess and goddess of the night and all things lonely
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral
Terrain Preference: In the deep heart mossy woods where all is dark and unseen.
Opinion of Humans: Humans are mindless beings who seek unruly power and attention. They are ones that don't know what they have and waist therefor leaving the land barren. They deserve to die. - Blue eyes
They are what they are, nothing will change. - Vivian
God Appearance: Image
Avatar Appearance: Image She wears clothing of the black and earth tones. She usually wears animal skins such as a wolf on her back for a sign for her goddess. Her breast usually sticks out provocatively out of her clothing. She always wears gloves.
Personality:
God: Blue eyes is an understanding and wise goddess but will not pity anyone. She is harsh and ruthless. She dose not mind brutally killing humans, but only if they get in her way. She can be trust worthy and but if you bend her trust, even the slightest, you will regret it.

Avatar: Vivian comes across, by her looks, as a young teenage girl but her mind is much wiser. Shes normally silent and will just gaze into your eyes with her cold eyes till you look away, for her a sign of dominance. Even though her body is small and lanky she can be quite powerful, but she chooses not to fight most of the time. because of her shortness she can get through most obstacles as her agility helps with that too. She makes a living with thievery.
Other: Image This is her marking that she was born with that lays one the palm of her hand that is covered by a glove.

God Name: Noss
Avatar Name: Adeptis Kroln the Barbarian
Title: God of the primitive, of nature, of the Barbaric
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral

Terrain Preference: The Wilderness, where resources are rich and civilisation is far away.

Opinion of Humans:
"Civilisation is an opiet. It defeats the strength of men and siphons the good will of the gods. Only in the nature that the gods have granted can the people prosper."

"Those who follow me shall recieve the earth in its fullest. I need neither destroy nor punish those who do not, for their dependancies on their own creations will be their undoing. My own do not need to be protected by my hand, for they shall be strong within themselves."

"Why do you reject the primitive, Adeptis? Do you not see how dependant you are on your luxuries. Join me, and I shall annoint you my Avatar. You shall be Kroln the Barbarian and I will empower you to house my people."
-Noss speaks to Kroln.

God Appearance: Noss is always depicted nude, except for a lion's skin as a cloak and an animal skull as a with a great beard and long hair. He is built like a bear, strong and intimidating, as he expects his hunters and his warriors to be. He travels on the backs of two giant gorillas, Kaym and Ahbul.

Avatar Appearance: Adeptis Kroln, or Kroln the Barbarian, wears a long coat made of cowhide and a lioncloth. He wields a greatsword made of bronze for combat and hunts with a bow and spears. His face is sharp with a thin beard and long, greasy hair. His feet have become leathery, like all other followes of Noss.

Personality:
God: Noss is neither kind nor cruel and teaches that dependancy is a downfall. For this reason, he does not offer his people surpless supplies nor aid them in battles they can win. Instead he teaches that self-sustainability can be found in nature and that they will be at their strongest and most powerful by eliminating needless luxuries from their lives. He is associated with a father figure. Noss has no desire for power, unlike many gods and will only make war when the need arises.

Avatar: Kroln the Barbarian was not born into following Noss but was converted. In a previous life, he was a carpenter who served Nemea before he wondered into the realm of Noss for resources. Noss met him there and converted him. Noss never intended him to be a leader, rather a spokesman for Noss' will. However, Kroln still believes himself to be a chieftain of the Barbarian tribes. Noss worries that his inner lust for power will destroy his followers.

Other: There is a temple to Noss in the desertland, but Noss destroyed it and punished Vox, the one who made it, accusing him of not listening to his teachings. The ruins are still there today.

Noss allows the people to choose their own Chieftain through whatever means they wish. He enjoys that his tribesmen will duel honourably to attain the title and that all people strive to be the strongest. He does not permit priests and discourages worship, since they waste time that could be spent bettering the tribes. He speaks to the people mostly through Kroln.

God Name: Asiysia

Avatar Name: Aphreena

Title: Goddess of Light and Life

Gender: Female

Alignment: Undeniably Good

Terrain Preference: Beautiful forests, large plains where flowers bloom naturally and animals graze, Surrounded by cliffs and mountains to ensure the cities safety, waterfalls and rivers that are clean to drink, a terrain that is filled with wonderful life.

Opinion of Humans: "My children...All I want is to see them happy and to have a life where they can be free of sorrow and pain. I believe they deserve such and thus, I will care and nurture them for eternity."

"I do not like any creature that breathes life to be harmed. Because they are my children and I will be with them always."

"Please my Derenians, help them. I know I have isolated from the mortal lands for far too long. Let the knowledge and kindness you have be bestowed upon them"

~Asiysia~

"The Holy Goddess deemed it necessary. Thus, I will not question it. However, I will make certain that the lands and people are safe from any atrocities."

~Aphreena~

God Appearance:

Image

Avatar Appearance:

Image

Personality:

God: The Goddess Asiysia is epitome of Innocence, Purity, sweetness, and mercy. She most likely looks far younger than she truly is and her smile would brighten up anyone's day even those coldest of hearts. Seen as naive and sheltered to her fellow Immortals, she can be ignorant at times, but for the most part, it is simply her reputation preceding her. She is very aware of the realities of life and wanted to eradicate all things that can cause grief and pain. Asiysia is extremely good natured and trustworthy. For the same reason, she is a bit too trusting towards anyone. She is a very mellow and carefree person given to that, she is exactly what calm, cool, and collected mean. Her heart is pure and shining with love. She believes in the goodness of those around her and gives everyone a smile. She is not the kind to hide her happiness and tend to smile all day long, both in and out. However, when sadness hits her, she becomes very devastated and may be upset for quite some time. Nevertheless, she has a bubbly personality and sociable. She likes the happy things in life and like everyone else to be as happy as she is.

Avatar: Aphreena never loses her cool and logical side at any given situation thus making her perfect leader for dire events. But when not worrying on any serious matters, she is such woman that needs care and at times assurance that everything would be fine however, this is not shown to anyone but to the Goddess and to herself. She is very sweet, intelligent, pure, caring, full of cheer, loyal and faithful to those she sees fit and might appear to other people as elegant and a serious person. The lady avatar does not back down from anything especially if it involves her people which at times causes clashes with the beliefs of of her Holy Goddess. She has her own firm opinion, and can be very outspoken and passionate, and she is forgiving but cannot be taken lightly.

Other: Asiysia, is known to many as the bringer of light and life to all creatures. She had the heart and soul that only knew of kindness and nothing else. Her symbol is of the Sun and the 8-pointed star. The Goddess had been viewed to be always in the presence of nature, animals, and flowers whom the said Immortal take admiration in. Her messages are delivered through her avatar in the presence of fluttering butterflies and flower petals. However, she is not known for combat and had taken the defensive and supportive character. Although, she is the holder of the Vie. The Orb of all Life, it even contains the existence of the Gods and Goddesses and would not be allowed to leave her sight. She was partly known as the Earth itself nevertheless, she had shared the creation of the world with her beloved friend, Ryushinki.

The Goddess of Life and Light had been isolated from other Immortals for such a long time due to her rejection of war and pain. She did not want to have any conflicts with anyone and had decided to simply stay away from others to prevent it. However as time had passed, she deemed that it was time to present her people to the new world from the seclusion. It was not fair to her children to be in forever solitude and not have the chance to interact with other creatures that she had bestowed life. Thus, the Lands of Sagrado had been opened to all races and nations in a diplomatic manner. It is known that violence and aggression are greatly prohibited within the territory of the Holy Goddess and the people abide the lore without fail.

Unbeknown by her people upon the lands, she had created new creatures that occupied the Wide Skies. They are called as Derenians. In an effort to be not tainted from the greedy affairs of the land below, they had decided to be completely separated from the creatures of the land. Nevertheless, they follow the teachings of the Holy Goddess by heart and word. These creatures are given beautiful wings which gives the ability of flight and Immortality that would allow to let them live for many eons however, they can die by tragic wounds and poison. The Derenians are also given high intellect than any of the known creatures which lead their civilization to be very advanced. Also, they had been bestowed with certain healing capabilities by their Holy Goddess and unique telepathic abilities. However, this is only limited to only one ability and also those who have these are very few. One can compare them to the legendary city of Atlantis.

God Name: Murali
Avatar Name: Auditore Balfour
Title: Goddess of Fire and Order

Alignment: Good but what might be good to one man might be horrid to another.
Terrain Preference: She prefers Volcanoes and flat plains but she will settle for just about anything temporarily.
Opinion of Humans: When Murali looks at the Humans she sees multitudes of children who need to learn respect and discipline but if they reject her as their mother and teacher then Suffering shall lecture them.
God Appearance: Image

Avatar Appearance: Image

Personality
God: Murali is like coin, theres two sides to her. The face of the coin is Fire and like fire once she is ablaze, or angered, she's not easily contained. She is very easy to anger and hard to please. She is also very ambitious, consuming everything in her path. Unfortunately the tail of the coin, Order, is seen very often but it does come up every now and then. There are times when Murali prefers to maintain peace in her lands and in the lands of her fellow Gods. When she is in this state of mind War is the last thing on her mind. If she started any brawls between her nation and another god's , she tries her best to end the conflict.

Avatar: Auditore is souless. He is but a puppet who does as he is told and obeys at all times. Probably the only emotion Auditore ever shows is anger but it is best you stay on his good side. Auditore works as a General, a Spy, an Assassin, a Preist, and just about everything in between but only if Murali wishes it.

Other: Murali is a VERY young Goddess. Compared to most of the gods she is but a child. Despite Murali's youth she has done much. She is infamous for the obbliteration of Races, the Downfall of Empires, and the Death of two Gods one who was her own Brother.

Murali's people are known as the Reich, which means Empire. The Empire was ruled by Murali herself but eventaully she choose an Emperor who the people call Fuhrer. To many she is still known the Goddess Empress. The Reich have many enemies but the one they dispise most are the worshipper's of Mask. Murali is the Goddess of Order and Mask is the God of Corruption.

This fued began when the Reich Grand General and former avatar Annabelle Balfour received a message from a King. According to the letter, a group of suspicious individuals entered his city. Everything was fine until they begun causing Choas. Riots were nonstop and the city guard could not defend anyone from being murdered or slaughtered.Soon he lost all control of his own city. Annabelle's troops entered the city, which turned out to be the City of Theives. The bandits attacked her and her forces and even made some of her own troops turn against her.

In the end Annabelle had to withdraw and the ones who betrayed her were killed and she had to pay the Maskmen for the 'damages'.

God Name: Sporian
Avatar Name: Alec
Title: God of trade, merchants, and castles
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good
Terrain Preference: The roads and the mines of the mountains
Opinion of Humans: "Humans are good targets for diplomacy." Sporian said firmly.
"Ooh! And pranks!" Alec added. *Sporian does faceplalm*

Avatar Appearance: http://www.popartuk.com/g/l/lgfp1165+le ... poster.jpg I'm cheap, I know.
Personality:
God: Sporian is very serious. He has a lttile pinch of humor, just enough to let Alec's pranks slip through his grip.He likes the ocean, and likes a good navy. He also enjoys castles. LOTS OF CASTLES.
Avatar: Alec has a weird sort of humor. He likes pranks, and uses the little elves for them. He likes the water, but thinks he already has enough Navy. He has a small thirst for gold, for anyone would trade anything for enough gold. Another fav is archery, the natinal weopon.
Other: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! EDIT: Is it better?

Personality:
God: Its personality perfectly reflects what It is God of. It is mysterious and grand. It is wonderful and ruthless, unforgiving.

God Name: Ulmo
Avatar Name: Caspian
Title: God of the Sea
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good but a bit proud.
Terrain Preference: Oceans, rivers, waters. Especially on the coast.
Opinion of Humans: Ulmo likes humans as long as they respect the sea, its creatures, and worship him fittingly. Ulmo enjoys watching them and doesn't usually interfere unless he sees a great injustice done or there's danger to his people. He acknowledges that gods are literally nothing without humans believing them.
God Appearance: Ulmo is lean and muscular and is usually seen dressed in silvery-blue armor and has a curved sword strapped at his hip. He has long black hair and sea-blue eyes.
Avatar Appearance: Caspian appears as a young sailor dressed in the manner of his people. He too carries a sword like his god's, though it is humbler in appearance. His dark hair is shorter than his god's, but he has the same, intense blue eyes.
Personality: Ulmo's mood is as changeable as the sea often going from light-hearted and benevolent to serious and determined to do what needs to be done to protect his people and to humble those that deserve it. At times, he contemplates the nature of the gods, humans, and the other races that inhabit the world. He is a firm believer that humans should be left alone for the most part, though he enjoys watching them.
Other: Ulmo is a sea god and has an easier time controlling it than other gods would since he has a natural affinity to it. His people are called the Avuvians, which, in the common speech, translates as "Mariners". The Avuvians are tall and proud, usually tanned from being out to sea. They are a kind people, though, if it's one fault they have, it's pride in themselves. Recently, they have learned the hard way about the dangers of their arrogance as their great cities were destroyed in the Great Conflict that destroyed their homeland.

Re: Gods (OOC)(Restart) ( )

Postby Kunoichi26 on Fri Aug 28, 2009 9:43 pm

(Sorry Sporian but elves are already taken)

God Name:
Ryushinki

Avatar Name:
Humans know her as Rosa Halfelven, but her true name is Amarwen Galaval.

Title:
Goddess of Growth and Fertility, the Great Mother, Mother Earth, Goddess of the Edhilgaladh (forest people, or elves)

Gender:
Female

Alignment:
Decidedly good

Terrain Preference:
She loves all of the earth, but she has a special place in her heart for forest, small streams, and waterfalls.

Opinion of Humans:
“My dear children, how my heart yearns for your happiness.”

"Even the smallest may change the course of the future."

"Ellen sila lumen omentielvo...may a star shine upon the hour of our meeting."

God Appearance:
Ryushinki is tall and slender as her favorite tree, the white birch. Her hair flows down her back like liquid copper, and her eyes are the green of sun shining through leaves. She wears long robes made from the delicate fibers of plants, which she changes every season. She always walks with bare feet, and the touch of her delicate hands causes seeds to reach from the ground to meet her. Her smile holds the beauty and gentleness of a mother who holds her child for the first time.

Image

Avatar Appearance:
Very simple with a natural beauty, she has shoulder length brown hair laced with hints of gold. Her lightly tanned face is dotted with freckles, and her golden eyes seem to shine with an inner light. She is very fit and slender because of long morning walks through the forest. She most often wears simple robes that hang upon her soft curves in natural hues of blue. She keeps two elven daggers belted at her waste, along with leather pouches filled with poison, herbs, and darts for self defense. She is in fact half elf of royal blood, and her beauty is evidence of this though she remained ignorant of the fact for many years. She wears a delicate necklace that has the crystallized sap of Aergalad. Both the necklace and the daggers were gifts from an elf who loved her dearly.

Image

Image

Image

Arandir Galaval, Prince of the Edhilgaladh:
The smooth, almost feline slope of the forehead and the way his almond shaped eyes angle downward along the sleek line of his thin nose gives him an almost panther-like appearance. His clear blue eyes are like aquamarines set into a perfectly sculpted face of porcelain, and his long golden hair flowing down over his pointed ears and past his lithe shoulders is almost unreal.

Image

Ryan

Ryan has all the appearance of a man who walks often beneath the warm rays of the sun, and the large leather bag he carries is worn and faded from years of use. His dirty-blonde hair is jagged and unruly, as if he had cut it with one of the many blades hanging from the belt at his waste. He has blue eyes, piercing eyes clear as river water that search everything, everywhere, distrustful and wary as a dog who has had too many masters. He smiles often, but they are usually small, fleeting things, gone as soon as they appear, and there is an urgency in his step, a restlessness that can be seen beneath the bronze skin like a current beneath still waters. He has played many roles throughout his life, many of which he does not care to mention, but the evidence of his past can be seen beneath the leather of his tunic. Scars on his right shoulder and along his back- but where he got them he has refused to say.

His hawk and long time companion, Farid.

Image

Personality:

God:
Ryushinki is passive and nurturing, ready and willing to comfort those who fall. She would do anything to protect and help her children flourish, for all living things are her pride and joy, especially the young and innocent. Whosoever should dare to destroy life and consciously rip apart her beloved home, or wreak havoc in the lives of her children, then she shall unleash her wrath upon them with the fury of the earth itself. Slow to anger and quick to forgive, the goddess never likes reprimanding the children that wander astray, but sometimes it must be done, and she is not so foolish as to let evil go unpunished.

Avatar:
Rosa is passive and nurturing, and far more willing to negotiate for a solution to an argument instead of resorting to violence. She is most at peace within the forest, and she will often speak with the animals and plants. Many of the people that know her say she behaves more like an elf than a human, some even going so far as to call her Rosa Halfelven. However, one thing remains certain; everyone respects her and admires her greatly. Rosa’s passiveness in most situations may often make her seem naïve, but she knows more than she lets on, and she will fight with surprising strength when necessary.

Arandir:
Arandir was once trusting and willing to learn everything he could about the world beyond the safety of the forest. But all that changed when Telas, his most beloved and trusted companion, was killed many years ago during that unspeakable event that the bright eyed elves and ever curious dwarves parted ways. Now his eyes are clouded with the sorrow of what had passed, and he seldom ventures forth from the depths of the forest. He is ever watchful of his niece, Rosa, lest any harm should befall her as well.

Ryan:

Ryan is tired of a life of wandering, and would sacrifice anything in order to return home and see his wife and child. He has always been cautious, but that has turned into the wariness of a hunted animal, and he trusts no one, though he hides this distrust well behind a mask of composure. In spite of this, however, he tries to see the best of a situation and smiles easily. He is analytical, carrying out his duties with a fierce determination (or apathy, considering whether it's in his best interest or not), and he retells whatever he encounters in his journal. The things most necessary to him are that leather-bound notebook, a pen, a knife, and the gold ring on his finger.

Other:
Ryushinki is the patroness of children, mothers, and agriculture. Protector of hunters and those travelling or lost in the forest. Her symbols are an olive branch or a sprouting seed, and she is often depicted with children, small animals, or pregnant. Also, as many consider the earth as lifegiving, and thus a symbol of growth and fertility, Ryushinki is also known as Mother Earth. Her messengers are foxes and sparrows. She is a skilled archer.

She has long been a friend of Asiysia, the goddess of light and life, and together they created the earth in the beginning of time. The elves are the Great Mother’s own creations, and since the goddess of life did not grant the creatures life, they depend on their beloved tree, Aergalad, for their survival. Aergalad is the physical representation of Ryushinki’s power, an excess of the power she used to create the elves. As long as an elf possesses a fragment of the tree, usually in the form of crystallized sap set into silver rings or pendants, he will continue to live on as the centuries pass on so long as he doesn’t suffer a grievous wound. In recent years the tree, which also serves as the heart of the elves’ city of Ost Lalaith, has gained consciousness and actively protects the forest and the elves like a sort of demigod. As time passes Aergalad gains more power from the earth and her mother, but Aergalad is content with her existence and lives grant the elves life, protection, and power.

Time has passed, and their innocence of the outside world has turned sour. They have grown wiser and more cautious, distrusting of the dwarves that hate them for no reason. They no longer trust humans, and their only dealings with the outside world are limited to the forest dwellers, the Onma who worship Ryushinki and follow her teachings. Only in dire need will they venture out of the safety of their beloved forest.

Elves in this world are strictly like those in The Lord of the Rings, with a few slight differences. They are capable of limited magic, such as coaxing trees and plants to grow faster or in a desired shape with their song (this is how their homes are built). All their power comes from Aergalad, and through the tree they maintain the field that keeps their home secret to all others and they are capable of limited manipulation of the earth and its elements (limited meaning they cannot create a storm, but they can make plants grow faster and manipulate the earth so it trembles beneath the earth’s roots). In this light they are similar to the elves in Eragon, though their magic is more similar to Tolkien’s elves because it’s not so much a part of their everyday lives. They depend far more on their own skill and agility, their keen senses of sight and hearing, than they do magic. The elves have an affinity to all things natural, and have come to understand the speech of animals. Because of this, they have strong alliances with the bear, wolf, and wildcat tribes, and their steeds never falter. They use hawks as messengers.

Thanks for the info, and I sure you knew what I meant...but it doesn't exactly mean that the word has been invented in this world.

Oran Tarlin Accepted, welcome back.
freeXwolf Accepted, just add some information on who/what is your follower amongst the mortals, since Blue Eyes doesn't like humans.
Reepimeister Accepted, just so you know, Noss will also be (indirectly) worshipped by the orcs, as they are savage and barbaric (like we didn't already know that <.<)
Lady Ethereal Accepted, welcome back.
Ersatz Creed Accepted, welcome *Mask comes out his hideout* "You can leave now!"
Sporian Yeah...Kunoichi26 had the forest elves first, so you can take another kind of races instead.

almostinsane Accepted, welcome back

Alright guys! This is looking good, All the new ones can take a quick look at how the old God RP was: Here.
I don't expect everyone to make posts like this in the start, but once we get started, I expect everyone to make posts like these (of course, if you are limited on the comp. or simply not interacting, I understand, but try to make something this big once in a while).

I forgot to point out that, time may be jumped between depending on the different avatars and interactions that may take place, no need to worry, we will get used to it. Also, since we don't have a absolute plot, I encourage everyone to have their own plans, plots, and ideas for creating interactions (even through war!).
I'll get the IC up after my shower, alright?
