What a beautiful day for a funeral, Thomas thought as he gazed across the bright green lawn towards the caskets that lay a few yards away from him. They were seperated by rows of white chairs that were perfectly lined up and filled by the large number of mourners. Thomas sat in the middle with his hands tucked into the pockets of his black suit jacket. He was lucky that there was a light breeze that moved the normally hot July air, or else he would have been sweating.
His hazel eyes scanned the rows of people that sat in front of him before they flickered towards the man who was speaking. Thomas didn't know him. The only two people that he knew here were Mr. Weston's two daughters. A third one would be arriving soon, or for all Thomas knew, she could have been there already. He had never met Mr. Weston's oldest daughter but he had spoken to her on the phone and they had arranged to meet at the funeral so that after it was over, Alexis would leave with her two half-sisters.
Thomas ran his hand through his golden hair and sighed in relief when he noticed that the rows of people in front of him were standing and walking towards the caskets to drop their roses on them. As it was his row's turn, he slipped out of the line and walked away from the funeral. He wasn't trying to be rude, but he only did buisness with Mr. Weston and didn't believe that his rose would represnt anything. Besides, he now had to look for Alexis and keep track of Mr. Weston's other two daughters until he found her.
