Aiyanna materialized in the battlefield atop one of the large 'O's in the Simulator, she surveyed her surroundings, piercing blue orbs narrowing as she checked and scanned, illuminating the darkness with directional scanners and specialized sensors built into her senses. "Combat Protocol..." She muttered

Graystone Industries Combat Protocol V2-4.2a

Analyzing battlefield.... done!

Analyzing tactical outcome.... Done!

Analyzing suit integrity.... done!

Analyzing opponent magical signatures.... locking on.... done!

Results;

Commencing tactical assessment... magical primitive detected... threat level... 0% Chance of enemy victory 0%

Initiating directive 7-3-9-5

Chance of directive hinderance... 0% 'The last domino falls here'

Established stratagem; disable magical energies, eradicate primitive.

As the text scrolled across her view, she offered up a smile as things seemed to look in her favor. A loud hiss echoed through the battlefield as her helmet and visor sealed and concealed her face, an audible hiss echoing from her helmet as it pressurized, the vocoder increased her voice to allow her opponent to hear her demands. "I will give you one chance, surrender and leave this battlefield, or I will show you no mercy, the chance of your victory is zero percent according to my calculations." She then grinned and unclasped her energy blade, holding it out to her side she depressed the ignition slider and the blade barked and belched fourth a five foot long blade, shimmering blue in hue.

"I just need to get in close." She said to herself, as the battlefield lit up and her suit began to run it's calculations. "Disable and eradicate..." She said, as she steadied herself and firmly kept her feet in the ground below her. She assessed her opponent at range, the suit's systems homing and zooming in, it began to highlight Khayyam's vital areas, utilizing a series of heat sensors, and motion sensors to lock onto major arteries and ligaments, in this stage Aiyanna was efficiently mapping out Khayyam's body, so she would know exactly where to strike.

As she stood there, she began to initiate a series of other protocols, the armor flickered for a moment and she checked an icon on the corner of her vision, as the suit shimmered, a white seemingly second skin formed just an inch from the suit's armor plate, it flickered for several long moments, then became visible before dying back down, vanishing from sight, the status bar of her energy shield showing full. "Shields have stabilized..." She said as she initiated several other systems, including a passive anti-mana defense field, designed to disable an enemy's magical abilities within five feet of her person, with defenses engaged, she was ready to face her opponent.

The lobby of Kyrvktz station one moment, on the battlefield atop one of the large 'V's in the Combat Simulator the next. His arrival was heralded by a series of loud clanks as one by one dozens of large banks of stadium lights snapped to life illuminating the stage. It was a strange setting to be part of standing fifty feet from the simulator’s floor atop a series of what appeared to be raised metal letters. The solid holographic script, five feet long and ten feet wide formed a loose caption designed to be a perilous pathway upon which the combatants would engage.

The rules were simple, if you fall, you lose. He did not have to defeat her. All Khayyam had to do to advance was to knock this self proclaimed juggernaut of her high horse. Yet, there was little doubt such an accomplishment would be a vast feat in itself. No flight, no levitation was to be employed by either participant ensuring one combatant could fall executing the end game scenario.

The brilliant red sash that was wrapped around the gypsy’s waist twisted and coiled as it stretched extending up his raised arm. The ‘magical’ binding, Hafsa, moved in a snake-like fashion positioning the knotted end in the palm of the left hand of her master. From a distance and depending on lighting one could easily mistake the item as a real serpent. With the gatherer, as the Arab warrior affectionately dubbed her, poised at his fingertips waiting to be released into action Khayyam stepped forward near the edge of his letter.

He judged the distance to the next platform to be roughly ten feet away. A modest jump with a running start for the five foot man made even easier with the leverage he could attain using the six foot bamboo bo stick, held firmly in his right hand, as leverage during the vault. Khayyam’s soft caramel eyes fixated upon his faceless opponent, Aiyanna, seventy-five feet away hidden behind the sealed visor of her helmet.

"I will give you one chance, surrender and leave this battlefield, or I will show you no mercy, the chance of your victory is zero percent according to my calculations." Her edict.

“We’ve come this far why disappoint the viewers? “ Khayyam voiced his reply. “If the odds are stacked so heavily in your favor set aside your hi-tech toys and we’ll settle this the good ol’ fashioned way?

"We’ve come this far why disappoint the viewers? " Khayyam voiced his reply. "If the odds are stacked so heavily in your favor set aside your hi-tech toys and we’ll settle this the good ol’ fashioned way?"

This gave Aiyanna pause for just a moment as she accessed her sister somewhere in the AI Banks of the suit's many micro-computrons.

"It's a trick, that disgusting magic user wants to separate you from your only defense against his wiles." Aiyanna-A Chimed in on a small screen in the corner of Aiyanna's gaze.

The Vocoder clacked on, and Aiyanna chirped her response, a sly grin creeping across her face, concealed by the opaque plazen visor.

"If you wish to settle this the old fashioned way, then you must disable your magical abilities, and your psionics, only then will I shed my combat skin, and engage you hand to hand." That was Aiyanna's ultimatum, spoken behind the impenetrable defenses of her suit, it's black finish blending in with the stage, making her extremely difficult to see, this was only exacerbated more as it seemed the suit gave off the illusion that it was transparent, she was slowly calibrating her optical camouflage, preparing it for deployment. She considered additional countermeasures, with the rules for this stage scrolling across her field of vision, she scowled.

"No flight, inertial dampeners are out, but inertial dampeners are two way streets." She said to herself before she brought up another status screen, she was busy calibrating her inertial dampeners to extend their field of influence outwards several feet, perhaps five or six, as the suit's microfusion cells diverted power to the dampeners, she tasked two with projecting a bubble of antigravity, this defensive countermeasure was designed to make her opponent lose their footing in the low gravity and be easily pushed from the lettering, the third dampening module was engaged to make Aiyanna heavier, and more difficult to remove from the stage, this was coupled with gravitic boots engaging their specialized graviton fields, clasping her boots to the lettering firmly to decrease the chances of losing her footing, the suit compensated by increasing power to the articulators. Aiyanna would be quick and agile despite these adjustments to the local gravity around her person.

After all, any suit designed to function in the cold blackness of space, was bound to have magnetic boots.

She watched Khayyam prepare his attacks, several icons locked onto the fabric snake he conjured, and the fabrics interlaced with his musculature. "One good anti-mana pulse would paralyze him, like sheep for the slaughter." She said with a grin, before her free hand moved to her hip, and promptly detached an Anti-mana pulse grenade wired to a proximity fuse, sliding a small lever forward, the grenade whined and several power cores within charged their lethal pulse. She was ready for him, opting to mount a defensive stratagem, lure him into a trap, and finish him.

"You claim you wish to fight the old fashioned way, how do I know you will honor your side of the bargain, if you wish it to be even of course." pierced the air through her loudspeaker.

She calculated the distance he was from her, twenty-three metrons, or Meters, he could reach her in several seconds, plenty of time for her to deploy her traps, Aiyanna-A's face flickering back into Aiyanna's view.

"Let his hubris be his downfall, your suit's tricks should more than suffice, throw him off balance, and finish him."

"If you wish to settle this the old fashioned way, then you must disable your magical abilities, and your psionics, only then will I shed my combat skin, and engage you hand to hand."

“Ah! But you already know the answer to your own convoluted proposal.” Khayyam responded. “You must realize I have as much of a chance of disabling my magical abilities, and psionics, as you to be considered a ‘real’ girl. It is a part of who I am and as such cannot simply be removed.”

“How do I know you will honor your side of the bargain, if you wish it to be even of course?"

“You don’t.” “ Khayyam stated flatly. Nothing he said could persuade her to believe anything less. “If I am as primitive as you believe, you have should have nothing to fear even if I were to possess a few parlor tricks.”

At the very mention of parlor tricks a series of multi-colored silk handkerchiefs jumped to life about the diminutive man. Eight lightweight cloths flitted hurriedly about in a crisscrossing elliptical pattern in front of the middle-aged performer. The dancing veils, as he commonly referred to the phenomenon, were pleasing to the eye as floated playfully through the air as they whimsically travelled untouched by the entertainer’s hands.

During the performance Khayyam took note as the black finish of her suit began to blend with the stage. The camouflage made her difficult to see but as with any effort to conceal oneself the human eye was instinctively drawn to movement. The caramel optics monitored Aiyanna’s free hand as it moved to her hip detaching what appeared to be a grenade. The sliding of a small lever forward and the cylindrical device began to deliver an increasingly hi pitched whine.

Even as you speak you ready your own brand of witchcraft. Do you plan to barbeque me in your mystical inferno as well charlatan? No faith in your own physical prowess; even against an aged tentmaker?”

“Despite your boasts you are nothing without your beloved technology.”

Aiyanna chuckled as Khayyam voiced another set of words.

“You must realize I have as much of a chance of disabling my magical abilities, and psionics, as you to be considered a ‘real’ girl. It is a part of who I am and as such cannot simply be removed.”

This resulted in a laugh to come from the vocoder, the faceless android watching and allowing her suit to prepare the next set of defensive countermeasures.

"I will take great pleasure in rending your magical energies from you, and watching you slowly die." The shimmering of optical camouflage suddenly allowed Aiyanna to completely fade into nothingness, not even a tinge of movement or a shimmer of an outline, energy fields seamlessly bent light around the android, and thus allowed her to remain concealed despite the bright lighting that illuminated her position.

Even as you speak you ready your own brand of witchcraft. Do you plan to barbeque me in your mystical inferno as well charlatan? No faith in your own physical prowess; even against an aged tentmaker?”

“Despite your boasts you are nothing without your beloved technology.”

Aiyanna growled, and then replied. "I am the personification of technology, you said it yourself, i am not a 'real girl' I am nothing but machine and nerve, and I have my mind concluded... you are but flesh and faith, and the more deluded." It was strange, two voices laced in one, one voice somewhat demonic, laced with Aiyanna's own.

"I have beaten fleets of thousands, consumed a galaxy of flesh, and mind, and bone... resistance is futile... Now are we going to stand here insulting eachother, or are you going to come at me so I can vaporize you." The voice changed again, two voices in one. Aiyanna-A had taken over her sister, and was ready to fight. The taunts would continue until someone made a move, the anti-mana pulse grenade was held in one hand, and the beam saber in another, extinguished so the shimmering blade would not reveal her location, Aiyanna slowly backed up, and crouched into a position. As she backed up however, a faint shimmer formed on her outline, and the transparency was distorted slightly, as if one was looking through a clouded shower door, only to settle back into seamless transparency once she was still again.

"A... why isn't he coming for me, he just plays with his fabric, he's preparing something..."

"You're ready for him, when he makes his move you will be ready."

The shimmering of optical camouflage had allowed Aiyanna to fade. But, not into the nothingness she had hoped to achieve. For while camouflage helped people go undetected even though they are in plain sight once you have spotted a camouflaged person, she stands out, and it seems odd that you didn't see them before. This is because your brain is now processing the visual scene differently -- it knows it is looking for a single person. As Khayyam had already established visual confirmation of his opponent there was little see could do to simply fully disappear from his watchful eye on such a limited stage.

No place to run. No place to hide.”

“I am the personification of technology, you said it yourself, I am not a 'real girl'. I am nothing but machine and nerve, and I have in my mind concluded... you are but flesh and faith, and the more deluded. I have beaten fleets of thousands, consumed a galaxy of flesh, and mind, and bone... resistance is futile... Now are we going to stand here insulting each other, or are you going to come at me so I can vaporize you."

Her voice splintered with her oration revealing a strange demonic quality as if two eerily similar voices had spoke in unison yet sufficiently different enough to create a strange harmonic as she spoke. A smile curled at the realization he was getting to her. “She begs me to come to her. That won’t be happening anytime soon, not when there were still strings to be pulled and buttons to be pushed.”

Aiyanna extinguished the bluish blade of the beam saber and slowly backed up placing her near the back of the “O” and crouched in position. A faint shimmer formed on her outline as she moved, and the transparency was distorted slightly before returning to a near seamless transparency. She was preparing for something. Whether or not it was in anticipation of Khayyam’s approach or preparations for an attack of her own he did not know.

It was time, the psychic mentally willing the revolving choreography of the dancing veils forward fifty feet placing the colorful show above the “e” in “uses”. The eight multi-colored lightweight cloths continued to flit about in their crisscrossing elliptical pattern roughly thirty feet from the synthetic. With a wave of his hand and the utterance of the short invocation “Maladh Anaan” creating a five foot diameter ball of smoke to appeared twenty feet behind the crouched mass that was Aiyanna.

“Despite your accolades one day soon you too will find yourself replaced, just as you have supplanted the prototype before you. Was that Her I detected earlier piggy backing on your voice protocols during your proclamation?”

“An angry imp. Sounds like Her list of accomplishments rather than your own.”

“Quite the legacy to live up to isn’t it?”

Aiyanna was silent as her target continued to taunt her.

"Despite your accolades one day soon you too will find yourself replaced, just as you have supplanted the prototype before you. Was that Her I detected earlier piggy backing on your voice protocols during your proclamation?”

“An angry imp. Sounds like Her list of accomplishments rather than your own.”

“Quite the legacy to live up to isn’t it?”

Aiyanna growled and retorted.

"My sister and I are one in the same your feeble mind would not comprehend that, and the civilization that created me has since collapsed, there'll be no replacements."

Aiyanna sneered and her targeting systems locked onto the figure before her. Red icons hovered over him for a moment as she angrily grasped the grenade, she took a step forward, and like a major league pitcher, she threw the grenade upwards of one hundred and fifteen miles per hour, hurling it towards her target. The Grenade coursed along it's thrown path, and was headed directly for the dancing veils that remained on the letter before her. The sheer kinetic force behind the grenade gave it push, and should it be caught up in the dancing veils, the small delay timer would run out, triggering the proximity charge of the grenade and unloading the charge in the massive energy core. The anti-mana pulse traveled in a radius of fifty feet in all directions, this was the maximum effective radius of the anti-mana pulse, which shredded through magical energies, both inert and active. The pulse beyond fifty feet began to degrade, reaching it's maximum radii of seventy-five feet, beyond this fifty feet concentrated pulse, one could feel their magical energies destabilize, and spell coherency would be lost for two turns.

Should the grenade pass through the fabric defense, it would proceed on it's course towards Khayyam, with the delay timer running out, it would release it's pulse, and likely impact it's target with the force of a major league pitch.

Aiyanna watched silently, before she disengaged her optical camouflage, and decreased the intensity of her inertial dampeners, before she engaged in a run across the O, with her Inertial dampeners disengaged slightly, she made her leap towards the edge of the 'r' in simulator, she paused for a moment, before her magnetic boots and inertial dampeners engaged once more, she crouched and disengaged them before engaging in a twenty feet leap towards the dancing veils, while in mid-air she ignited her blade, which extended outwards and shimmered brightly for a moment. Aiyanna landed on the first S in uses and she stared at the veils.

"This is going to be easy, fabrics are weak." She then prepared her sword and she stepped towards the E, with the gap separating them. She prepared her plasma grenade, detaching it from her bandoleer and igniting the core within the powerful explosive. Sliding a small slider forward, the weapon whined and prepared to ignite the condensed core which provided the super heated fluoride plasma for ignition. She grasped the weapon, and ran the numbers as particle collisions contained in the sphere prepared the plasma, which would sear through the veils and possible her opponent with flash-temperatures up to 54,032 ºF.

The fuse was lit and the grenade was held, she cooked it, allowing the timer in the grenade to count down, calculating the distance between her and her opponent, calculating.

((Kyrvktz station's battle simulator uses this very sentence as your stage.))

“Yet, you still believe yourself to be greater than your outdated sibling, correct?"

This was the last of Khayyam’s verbal daggers, cut short by the sudden upward movement displayed by his synthetic rival. Once again the faint shimmer formed on her outline distorting the transparency she possessed as it lunged forward like a major league pitcher. The Arabian nomad was all too familiar with the wind-up and the speed at which the projectile was about to be delivered. The average professional hurler’s fastball was thrown in the region of ninety plus mph with more and more of the elite nearing the century mark. There was little doubt that the technological marvel that opposed him would be able to well exceed that benchmark.

Even as Aiyanna proceeded through the motion to deliver the canister the Arab psychic was orchestrating his defense. A singular colorful veil raced forward from its whirling choreography above the “e” to intercept the cylindrical weapon of destruction as it left her hand. The eighteen inch square silk handkerchief opened wide, each corner held securely by the invisible strings of Khayyam’s mind, to accept the object much like a catcher’s glove of the sport mimicked in the delivery. The two devises converged roughly sixteen feet and in less than a tenth of a second after the release with the projected cylinder unable to rip through the resilient fabric despite its kinetic energy.

The strength of the psychic’s telekinetically aided barrier instantly negated the incoming momentum reversing the canister’s trajectory. The object was not sent directly back at the deliverer who had already began to advance from her position but merely pushed harmlessly out of the way. The entrapped object had barely been forced back to the point of the ‘R’ in simulator when the delayed timer expired unleashing its primed pulse. The discharge in the energy core was not the fiery inferno Khayyam had witnessed from the synthetic’s previous matchup but something much different. Pale energy waves of the anti-mana pulse traveled outward fifty feet in all directions from the explosive center reaching out like in a three dimensional ripple. Even from his distance of seventy-five feet the Gypsy tentmaker felt a weakening to the pool of his gypsy magics as his power waned under the effects.

The undulating wave seemed to follow the nimble synthetic warrior towards Khayyam momentarily before surpassing her as she performed her mighty leap from the platform in the shape of an ‘R’ igniting the beam sword during her flight. The glossy black protective suit bathed in the flickering bluish hue emitted brightly from the powered weapon as she sailed gracefully over the deadly expanse landing directly in front of the dancing veils. In reaction to the android’s appearance upon the landing the silk veils moved forward in rapid succession encircling the unwelcomed intruder like angry bees whose hive had been disturbed as she stepped forward towards the edge of the platform forming the first ‘S’ in ‘uses’ pulling a spherical grenade from her bandoleer.

Daring to defy the odds of survival the ostentatious cloths took turns poking at the technological marvel as they whimsically whirled about from head to toe. In their orbiting travels, amidst the insignificant brushing and prodding of the soft fabric squares Khayyam used the opportunity to mentally move the sliders forward on several similar objects to the one she currently held engaging the igniters. Khayyam had witnessed a close-up of the activating sequence numerous times studying footage from a segment pulled from Aiyanna’s short lived matchup with Adrian. One by one in rapid succession the fuses of the grenades upon her belt and bandoleer would have their cores activated each travelling handkerchief seemingly lending a helping hand to the anarchy of the situation.

The indestructible juggernaut may have been able to survive close proximity to effects of one of her weapons of destruction but there was serious doubt whether or not the suit could sustain multiple near simultaneous discharges. Gambit in play and the activated devises whining their warning Khayyam attempted to hold as many switches as possible in the ‘armed’ position should his opponent choose to employ the simple stratagem to deactivate them. A scheme the wily Arab chose to explore, toggling the switch to Aiyanna’s hand held threat, in an attempt to disarm the canister ‘cooking’ within her grasp. As time progress he felt the growing urgency to put as much distance as possible between himself and the immanent explosion. Fifty feet was not nearly a comfortable enough cushion considering the proposed catastrophe he was about to unleash.

Re: GR2011: Aiyanna vs Khayyam (R2) ( )

Postby barney_fife on Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:49 pm

Aiyanna maintained her attack, even with the canister thwarted in the defence of colourful veils that continued to dance about, she contemplated and prepared her next string of attacks, ignoring the veils as they poked and prodded, her mind solely on her opponent. The suit's systems then registered his telekinetic attack, which registered on the defense systems of the suit. Each magnetically attached grenade was attached to the central computron. As the icons flashed red signifying their armament she was at work sending a string of codes to the suit's computer. The defence was mounted and each grenade was deactivated by an over-ride command code. No physical manipulation of these grenades would bring any further result as long as they were physically attached to their magnetic clasps. Instantly, the threat was thwarted and Aiyanna exploited Khayyam's lack of technological understanding.

"Psionics? Do you think I am ill-prepared for your psychic tricks?" She said aloud as the psychic energy encircled her with the veils and Khayyam's feeble attempts to set off her weapons. With a brief recalibration of her internal Psionic inhibitors, and her Psionic disruptor pulse emitters embedded within the suit, she prepared them for charge, while lunging forward and engaging her inertial dampeners. With her free hand, she slashed at the veils, the plasma blade likely cutting through any unlucky fabric with ease, it took roughly two seconds before her suit unleashed a pulse in a radius of ten feet in all directions, sending a painful powerful telepathic feedback towards Khayyam and aiming to sever the telekinetic holds he had on her grenades. This pulse likely seared outwards and killed the veils which were floating around her, as the anti-psi pulse surged through the psionic energies around her, destabilising and disrupting them.

She however was not going to take any chances, and decided it was time to get in close. After the Psionic disruptor unleashed it's pulse, she engaged the psionic inhibitor around her suit, this provided a simple anti-psi barrier to ward any future attempts for Khayyam to influence her with his psychic powers. If he tried he would be met with a painful feedback sent directly back to his brain by several small telepathic emitters scattered in her suit's under-gel layers.

Should the Veils be neutralised with her psionic pulse, she continued to lunge forwards towards Khayyam, she was tired of his insolence and determined she was going to take the fight up close and personal. She leaped through the veils which were now neutralised by the anti-psionic blast and towards Khayyam's position, closing the distance of fourty feet in several seconds. Leaping across each and every space with grace and ease, she aimed to leap up above him as he moved to flee, and bring the still armed plasma grenade to hurl in his direction from above. As soon as the weapon left her grasp, it would close in and detonate in three seconds, unleashing a bright green flash and a wash of fifty-thousand degree heat in all directions, the thermobaric shockwave also travelled outward, cooking anything unarmored. The sheer intense heat of the detonating plasma grenade was enough to set fire to any fabrics not made of a heat resistant material, of course nothing except trinnium and carbon could withstand the sudden flash-heat of fifty thousand degrees. The grenade would have remained active, as it was highly unlikely Khayyam could influence electronics.

If somehow the veils survived the psionic disruption, Aiyanna would bring her beam sword to lash in an upwards motion, with her finger on the armament fuse, and the grenade detached there was no viable way Khayyam could disarm it, especially with the psionic inhibitor now active in the suit. She sliced vertically upwards to shred the veils, before leaping high into the air and in a broad arch towards Khayyam, while in mid-air she launched her attack, deploying her plasma grenade to bear down on it's target, like a major league pitcher, she deployed her weapon. Allowing it to course towards it's target, as it unleashed it's superheated detonation, Aiyanna came down, ready to bring her beam sword to finish the fight, should Khayyam manage to survive the detonation. After her series of leaps and bounds, she would find herself on the letter S, ten feet away from Khayyam's V.

"Psionics? Do you think I am ill-prepared for your psychic tricks?" The voice mocked.

Why would he think that she wouldn’t be prepared given the resistance provided during their brief encounter aboard Kyrkvtz Station? The Techno-bitch had an answer for everything, but he had to at least try. Aiyanna met him move for move disabling the canisters as quickly as he had engaged their activation protocols. Then he felt it, a painful feedback upon the invisible lines that had connected his mind to the dancing cloths. A hand pushed to his brow in response to the blinding pain that shot behind his right eye and cause a loss of concentration. Instantly the life force behind the silk veils diminished and they dropped unresponsive to the platform at the synthetic’s feet.

After several graceful steps across the battlefield Aiyanna leaped from the ‘this’ platform. If the power of this bound was even remotely similar to that displayed in her first feat of athleticism the action would carry the agile android towardt his current position. This jump however had a much higher trajectory and she now loomed above the diminutive tentmaker descending rapidly upon his position atop the ‘v’. Beam sword in one hand, an armed spherical grenade grasped in the other the black suited synthetic was poised as an angel of death closing in to deliver the final blow. Khayyam took a few short steps backward during her decent, once again the arm cocked to deliver the hand-held incinerary device and the Arab prepared his defense waiting for the object to be released as his mark.

"You're a dead man; you better make peace with your god!" She bellowed.

Once the orb was released Khayyam made his move stepping backward gleaning the weapon’s trajectory as he prepared to reverse his facing and scurry away from the incoming danger. Not knowing exactly how much time he could spare toward the process the Arab quickly turned tail before the grenade touched down. The explosive device would find a resting place within the crevasse of the ‘V’ as the tentmaker raced onward avoiding the small gaps as he navigated the tops of the letters to make his escape. Turning his back to his foe was risky but Aiyanna would have to deal with the completion of her jump and the impending explosion that would separate them before retaliating. Grasping the fresh bamboo pole firmly he would use the six foot length to vault him towards the next platform. Successfully touching down upon the initial ‘S’ in ‘sentence’ and scrambling forward reaching the 't'.

BOOM!

The detonation of the plasma grenade and the sudden flash heat of the fifty thousand degree blast would be sufficient enough to incinerate the created forms. If the data he was provided with regarding the device was correct, the fiery blast should completely destroy much of the platform forming the word ‘very’ as well as the final half of the adjacent platform Khayyam had just departed. With her proposed landing area about to be obliterated and the accompanying thermobaric shockwave that would surround her in the accompanying blast Aiyanna would have a multitude of problems to overcome making any prompt pursuit difficult even with her enhanced skill set.

Aiyanna continued her descent, greeted by the blinding green flash, and the registration that the air had been flash-heated to thousands of degrees for several dozen feet around them in all directions. This wasn't an issue as the composite armor of Aiyanna's suit which it's shields, and armor diffused the heat caused by the grenade, additionally the insulation and her synthetic nature allowed her to emerge from the blast largely unscathed. However there was another issue that was posed for the rat that scurried away from the flame. For all intents and purposes it seemed that Aiyanna's grenade secured her demise, as she kept her feet down, like a cat, she twirled around and faced the h in 'this, of course the 'i' and the 's' were missing as a result of the plasma grenade, as she turned she, in a split second grabbed the grappling hook pistol at her waist, and fired her grappling hook, which careened towards the upper part of the 'h', she used the downward momentum to swing around the upper stalk of the 'h', She reeled in quickly and brought her position up upon the lower portion of the 'h'. She stared at Khayyam, analyzing his body yet again hoping that he at the very least suffered severe burns from the deployed grenade.

Once she was secure she checked her shields, they had been depleted as a result of the blast, but her anti-psi fields remained active.

She contemplated her next move, now secure in her position. She contemplated her next tactic, detaching another plasma grenade, she targeted her grenade's trajectory, she was going to cut him off and destroy the letters he stood upon one by one. This denied Aiyanna the satisfaction of killing her opponent, but at least she would claim victory in this round. Tactically the numbers ran through her mind until she activated the grenade, then like a grenadier with perfect form, she hurled the grenade in a wide arc up and over Khayyam, it, like a well placed trap landed on the 'a' in 'as.' Aiyanna then detached a second grenade, a thermite grenade which was the equivalent of Napalm, she once more with perfect form, set a proximity charge to the grenade, and quickly she hurled it in a wide arc to allow the weapon to land on the 's' in sentence. She silently waited for the plasma grenade to detonate, grinning through the faceless helmet.

When the grenade did detonate, it would likely take out it's intended target, sending another super-heated shock-wave in all directions of the weapon, the expanding sphere of super-heated plasma vaporized everything it touched, like an all-consuming monster. The grenade's super-heated plasma bloomed, and super-heated the surrounding air yet again, which was already becoming thick with ozone and other elements released by the plasma. The thermobaric shock-wave extended outwards for at least several meters, igniting the atmosphere and burning, singing everything it touched. Then, from the sudden expansion and rise of pressure around the plasma grenade, everything suddenly equalized, producing what seemed like a vacuum effect. Aiyanna grinned.

"You can run, but you cannot escape, either you fight me up close, or I will trap you and end you from afar, I have enough grenades to easily take you out."

"Check." She said, waving her energy sword in front of her, that bamboo staff would be no match in a close quarters fight. She checked her bandoleer, she had two plasma grenades, four thermite grenades, and three more Anti-mana/EMP grenades. Though she did not bother to deploy any additional grenades, she would decide to get in close, and so she unsheathed her dagger which dripped with a sickly green luminescent liquid. There was a distinct pop as the grappling hook detached from the letter, and reeled back into the pistol, once she sheathed the sinister looking combat knife, she pointed the pistol to the 's' in sentence, and calculated the range in which the hook would need to travel.

Much of the heat and energy produced in the blast had already begun to dissipate before it had made its forty-five foot plus travel towards the fleeing tentmaker limiting his exposure. Any harmful nature of the heated air that remained as it pushed by him would be deflected by the flame retardant fibers of the magical head to toe covering. Khayyam stumbled, thrown slightly off balance by the ebb and flow of the created by the wave of heat that surpassed him before he dared a glance backward to ascertain the actions of his foe. The tentmaker took a moment and collected himself looking on through the devastation as his opponent acrobatically swung to safety aided by the tiny line she had attached to the upper stalk of the ‘h’ during her decent.

His opponent had quickly shortened the extended line looping around the stalk to position herself up upon the lower portion of the lettered platform. There she stood motionless starring upon Khayyam’s position before removing another spherical grenade from her belt. The Arab smirked at the continued efforts of the one trick pony, the distinctive whine of the charging core resonated in the vast expanses of the auditorium.

“Is that all you got?” Khayyam taunted as if daring her to toss the instrument of destruction.

Actions would speak louder than words answering his call hurling by the spherical canister in a perfect looping arc, in a trajectory designed to carry the object up and over the diminutive tentmaker. Whatever her intention, Khayyam was about to use her aggressiveness against her calling upon his telekinetic powers once again to thwart her offensive. Remembering the experience he briefly encountered with the orchestration of the cloths Khayyam initiated precautions of his own using his manipulative mental skills to disengage the pain sensors of his brain moments before contact was made with the lobbed object. Anti-psionic field in place or not, he was ready, the feedback designed to break his concentration would prove to be ineffective without the sensation of pain.

"You can run, but you cannot escape, either you fight me up close, or I will trap you and end you from afar, I have enough grenades to easily take you out."

Khayyam did not have the luxury of caressing the object in the soft silk fibers as he had done before. He found influencing hard inorganic textures objects distressing and typically avoided such instances. The current situation was not ideal but with the pain receptors detached was more or less bearable. It wasn’t on his preferred list but it wasn’t going to kill him. He was fighting for his life and as such any brief displeasure would outweigh the alternatives.

The initial inertial of the weapon was easily overcome and with one aggressive burst the object was rerouted.”Right back atcha!” The psyker mused. Khayyam too would try to limit his opponent’s playing field redirecting the armed plasma grenade towards the final ‘S’ in ‘uses’. The reach of the fiery blast would be enough would be enough to remove the remaining letters of the ‘this’ platform upon which Aiyanna was perched as well as the ‘uses’ platform directly behind her. Protective suit or not it was unlikely that the gynoid would be able to withstand consecutive blast in such close proximity.

He had barely initiated his handling when a second item left the synthetics hand. Both items were relatively insignificant to the amount of material Khayyam could effectively handle and both were thrown with relatively little force to overcome. Keeping a weak mental management upon the initial object and guiding it to its destination the psyker quickly threw up a telekinetic shield to obstruct the second. Upon meeting the invisible resistance the object detonated releasing its thermite charge twenty feet from the release point. With the grenade being lobe upward in an arch it was likely the fiery napalm would shower down upon the unexpectant recipient below.

As the chaos was to unfold she waved her energy sword defiantly pointing the grapnel pistol to the ‘S’ in ‘sentence.’ He had witnessed this “Houdini’ act only moments before and wasn’t about to sit idly through the encore. He felt empowered enough to call upon the services of his gypsy magics once again. “Muntaha Kifah!” He exclaimed rubbing two fingers together to complete the simple spell with the snake-like Hafsa coiled like an ornate bracelet upon his arm and wrist. Simple as it was it should be enough to limit the feasibility of the grappling hook being employed to save her synthetic hide this time around covering the hand-held firearm and her hand in a sticky mucus-like mass that acted like superglue.

“Almost time my pet, almost time.”

This trickster was starting to annoy the synthetic, as the Grenade came hurling back towards her, she looked up as the spherical object arced towards her. She however once more had a countermeasure to influence his tricks, with a series of bit-stream commands wired through the grenade's proximity interface, the power core powered down as the Grenade was sent back towards her. This resulted in the grenade clattering and rolling harmlessly back towards her. It remained inactive, influenced by her mental commands towards it.

The Second thermite grenade met the same fate, utilising the same tactics as before, it's power core deactivated as it careened back towards her, clattering harmlessly on the ground and falling through the gap in the lettering.

"Your tricks are ineffective, you can't use my weapons against me, I have total control over them."

With the first salvo of Khayyam's tricks defeated, she heard him utter some kind of incantation, waiting for something to happen, her suit picked up on magical energies that tried to conjure around her, only to be dispersed by the anti-magic fields that were passively broadcast by her suit. The strange mucous would never conjure on her firearm, stopped by the erratic particles and energy disrupting the coherency of magical energies.

"You've got to try harder my friend." She said, calculating the trajectory of her jump. Then she engaged the suit's passive psionic dampeners. With feedback only a secondary characteristic, the suit's psionic dampeners would charge, activating and powering up, she also adjusted her inertial dampeners, making her slightly lighter, easing on the increased weight already applied by the dampeners, equalizing her back to her normal weight. She then she prepared for the leap. She was going to change her tactics now and get in close, but now she was going to use a different sort of trick.

A moment into the leap, the dampeners engaged, enveloping her with a field designed to stop any and all psionic influences by stabilizing the quantum energies around her. This was to prevent Khayyam from simply knocking her out of her leap. This also allowed her to pass through any psionic barrier that he put up, shattering through the psionic energies by destabilizing them. Completing the arch, she descended down on the first 's' in sentence, and made her way towards Khayyam.

"It's my turn for the trickery." She said, grinning as she calibrated the suit's internal holographic projector, to rearrange air particles and form two life-like completely opaque and real Aiyanna's near Khayyam, of course these were holographic, they seemed to be perfectly real, One standed on the 'n' in sentence, and the other stood on the 'e' next to the 't' in sentence. This momentary ruse would follow by Aiyanna closing the gap between the 'h' and the 's' with a sixty-five foot leap across the stage, landing behind the first Holographic Aiyanna, and igniting her energy sword.

With a quick recalibration of her inertial dampeners, she lunged forward towards the 't' in sentence, flickering through one of her holographic decoys, bringing her energy sword in a wide arc upwards in an attempt to slash at him vertically, followed by a quick horizontal slash. The superheated plasma in the blade affording it the ability to cut through any material, additionally the close proximity to Aiyanna's anti-mana field would likely drain on her opponent's magic as well. Aiyanna was done with the tricks and had come to finish the fight.

Re: GR2011: Aiyanna vs Khayyam (R2) ( )

“No boom?.”

Khayyam looked on discontented as the spherical grenade bounced harmlessly across the ‘S’. There was no brilliant flash or resounding boom, as in the previous instance only the quiet unceremonious ting, ting, ting, before it came to rest. The second canister dispensed a comparable result falling harmlessly to the arena floor. Someway, somehow the astute synthetic had beaten him to the punch once again. There had to be a weakness, some chink in her armor.

There was no running start to achieve momentum, simply, a shallow squat with enough power to complete the monumental standing long jump. With nigh an effort the inhuman fighting machine leapt from her position upon ‘h’ platform with the intention to clear the fifty foot gap in one mighty bound. Khayyam had believed such a feat was near impossible under the stipulated rules of the match. Even for a hi-tech toy such as Aiyanna. Yet, it appeared to be happening right before his eyes.

Soon after she left the security of her platform the telepathic reacted attempting to bring her advance to an abrupt halt before she neared the apex of her jump. He concentrated intensely forming a wall of invisible mental energy to catch the synthetic fabric of the combat skin in a Velcro-like fashion. Then he felt it, something unlike the simple feedback he has experienced within the lobby. A strong pulse discharged feeding back along the lines of influence Khayyam had established shattering the psionic energies and destabilizing his defensive wall. Completing the arch, the dark angel of death descended toward the ‘S’ in ‘sentence’ making made her way apparently unobstructed towards her destination.

If he could not stop her advance he would see to it that she missed her mark. Quickly, re-establishing a grip upon her suit he focused his attacked in an effort to pull her off course. The aggressive action took little preparation or effort. Khayyam had many hours of practical experience in similar activities yanking reams of heavy cloth telepathically across his workshop as he labored. If she was using some technological means to augment her ability to clear the massive expanse the sudden persuasive sideways jerk would likewise be enhanced. With the short and hasty charge behind the broadcasted pulse already released as she broke through his defensive wall and his earlier stop measure against the painful feedback there would likely be any further resistance to his efforts. The forceful tug should it succeed would be sufficient enough to pull the synthetic assailant thirty feet to the left of her proposed landing.

Not one to place all of his marbles into one bag the Arabic gypsy also initiated magical measures to make the landing a treacherous as possible for the incoming killer. A simple whistle sent the Gatherer into motion lashing out from his hand passing through the opaque projection of Aiyanna into a six foot diameter snare upon the ‘S’ platform. While the lifelike image that suddenly appeared on in front of the tentmaker during Hafsa’s departure was compelling in physical detail Khayyam was well aware that the organizers frowned upon teleportation. Besides, there was little sleight of hand to make the trickery believable with the original clearly in view and the visual clone simply standing passively as the magical sash passed through it in her travels.

“Durar!” Khayyam exclaimed. At the utterance of the words handfuls of pearl-like marbles flowed from his open palm scattering across the smooth surface of the three letters in front of him. Like Hafsa before them the glass spheres passed through the holographic projection standing upon the ‘h’ as they bounced forward. Walking, running or even landing in the midst of the hard smooth spheres would be enough to make footing difficult to attain and added the possibility to stumble becoming injured in the fall. If the shifty synthetic juggernaut were to evade his mental manipulation she would still have plenty of obstacles to navigate to successfully initiate close combat. If she did manage to find her way past the current set of impediments the aged wanderer still had one more trick up his sleeve.

Re: GR2011: Aiyanna vs Khayyam (R2) ( )

Postby barney_fife on Tue Aug 16, 2011 2:14 pm

Aiyanna was arched high in the air, and already her suit's systems were warning her of an impending psionic assault. Thankfully she had been prepared, and as he attempted to utilize his psionics to move her off course, nothing happened and she still retained her course, despite being able to close off the feedback, the field prevented the very psionic energies from even reaching the woman. The jump was completed with all her strength, and it sent her arching high over the gap that separated the words.

Though the two thwarts of his psionic energies would also be enough to deplete her anti-psionic field for a time, the psionic dampeners recalibrated and recharged, drawing power from one of the suit's microfusion cells. Of course the shield remained, powered until she completed her descent and found herself on solid footing again.

"Gods damn this fool has too many tricks up his sleeve." she muttered to herself as she began her descent from the wide arch, unaffected by the mental barrier and the mental diversion, as she continued her descent, she sent several command codes to the suit's central computron, and in the blink of an eye the inertial dampeners were reset, equalizing her descent.

"Anything you can do, I can do better, have you run out of tricks yet? I can beat them at every turn."

She took the pre-emptive measure of preventing any magicks from harming her, by utilizing a string of command codes she mentally armed an Anti-mana grenade. Not even bothering to set a fuse or a timer. The anti-mana grenade released it's charge nanoseconds before landing, sending it's anti-magic pulse outwards in all direction. Using the anti-mana pulse to defeat the serpent that was cast out before her, and to disrupt the formed magical coherency of the conjured marbles, casting them out and destroying them, should the pulse not destroy the Marbles, then perhaps the gravitic distortion generated by her suit would, pushing them harmlessly out of her way as she landed on the solid letter. she hoped the anti-mana pulse would be enough to also render the sash lifeless. If that were not to work, she utilized the enhanced strength and power of her suit and her body to break free from the snare, tearing the sash asunder should the anti-mana pulse not render it motionless. With the obstacles defeated, and the path clear, she reignited her blade and began to move forward with her attack.

she took a few steps closer, crossing the distance of the e, ready to subvert any additional magical preparations that would be used against her. Of course she trusted that her surprise detonation of the anti-mana grenade would render his gypsy magics inert for awhile (three turns due to proximity), that this fight was starting to turn for her, rather than the sustained stalemate that this tricky Arab seemed bent on making.

She kept her movements careful, with her anti-psi field charging, and the anti-mana pulse having disabled any magic for the time being, she had evened the playing field.

"Now we're even, if I can't have magic, then you can't have magic.. if I can't have psionics then neither can you... it's a shame really, you'd be a fine specimen for my people to dissect and experiment upon, you know... thousands of magic users and psykers have given their lives so that we may have this technology to protect ourselves from the likes of you."

The Psychological warfare had begun, a holographic screen flickering to life at Aiyanna's left, showing footage of what looked like a middle aged person, a magic user screaming and begging in their native tongue, as four scientists in white lab coats loomed around them with frightening instruments. The person clearly didn't understand the technological nightmare they were immersed in, Aiyanna stopped for a moment to allow Khayyam to watch as the poor man was slowly dissected alive without any painkillers, intentionally kept alive so they could study him. Like a rat under a microscope they worked on the being, torturing them and testing various crude technologies, studying the magical energy and harnessing it.

"Maybe I will bring your lifeless corps to Langara to be resurrected, so you can meet a similar fate."

She was expecting more tricks from him, and she was bent on keeping the playing field even, preventing her opponent from gaining the upper hand against her. But he too seemed to be using his trickery to prevent several of Aiyanna's tactics from working. The wanderer had the synthetic thwarted at every turn, he had even managed to slow her advance, as her steps seemed to be more careful, she was learning from him, and so she aimed not to be too hasty.

"What are you fighting for here? Is it a prize? Is it money? What is even the prize for winning this thing, you work so hard to beat me, but your next opponent might defeat you, I won't be beaten, I will cut you down, and those after you, I will claim whatever prize is offered here, I'm fighting for my freedom so you will find that I am quite motivated to defeat you."

Re: GR2011: Aiyanna vs Khayyam (R2) ( )

Postby klikxx on Fri Aug 19, 2011 10:03 pm

As the dark figure gracefully sailed through her decent Khayyam found himself unable to fight through the interference and establish a hold upon the synthetic as she neared the ‘S’. Moments before her feet would touch upon the surface a brilliant flash shot out bathing the area in a soft blue hue as it swelled. It was a carbon copy of the pulse that had disabled the gypsy’s magics earlier in the match. He had been fortunate enough to have been standing on the outskirts of the discharge in the first instance. This time however he was not as fortunate.

As the wave washed over the stage it had several effects on those it passed over. The first thing the gypsy magician registered was how quickly the store of magical energy depleted from his body this time around. The sudden departure left behind what could only be described as a feeling of fatigue. It was as if he had engaged in a prolonged magical exhibition sourced together in that brief moment of time exhausting his resources completely.

Khayyam wasn’t the only one to show signs of the ill effects of the poisonous tide. Touched by the wave, the scattering of marbles from the weak conjuration vanished almost as quickly as they had appeared. The magical sash, Hafsa lay motionless upon the platform even with the quarry touching down within the jaws of its snare. The anti-magic ions of the pulse rendered the weak sister item temporarily paralyzed. Khayyam aware of the hesitation had considered yanking the noose closed telepathically but if the magical sash had not closed the trap there had to be a reason. Some things were better left untouched.

"Anything you can do, I can do better, have you run out of tricks yet? I can beat them at every turn." The synthetic gloated.

At this point in the fight he was beginning to believe it. Despite his best efforts and a variety of attacks he was still unable to penetrate the stellar defenses of the technological masterpiece which now stood a mere fifteen feet away. Aiyanna had mentioned in her boasts that the civilization that designed her had collapsed and was no more. As she ignited her plasma sword stepping menacingly forward He couldn’t help but wonder if they had fallen at the hands of their own creation.

"... thousands of magic users and psykers have given their lives so that we may have this technology to protect ourselves from the likes of you."

Aiyanna stepped closer as she spoke, cautiously crossing the distance of the ‘e’. It was as she expected one last ploy from the diminutive tentmaker. A holographic projection appeared to his right. Unwilling to take his eyes from his foe the video account lost much of its proposed impact, reduced to nothing more than a series of tortured screams of despair in an unrecognizable tongue. It was then he noticed something uniquely satisfying. She had stopped. Khayyam had done something he was beginning to think near impossible. He had halted the advance of the juggernaut, if only temporarily.

"Maybe I will bring your lifeless corpse to Langara to be resurrected, so you can meet a similar fate."

Despite the threat a satisfied smile erupted across the face of the middle-aged warrior at the recognition of his accomplishment. Her hostile taunts barely penetrated the contented thought. He drew a deep breath relentlessly studying his opponent. “Could it be fear or was it something else entirely?” Regardless of the answer, he had won, if only a minor personal victory.

With time running out the wandering tentmaker would most likely survive the lopsided ordeal. An outcome that would dissatisfy the bookmakers and reward Khayyam with a hefty payday in the process. He knew there was an Achilles heel to this monstrosity. But in what form would it come? He only wished he could learn the secret and finish her off. That is where the real riches resided.

"What are you fighting for here? Is it …."

Without warning or further hesitation the fresh green stalk of bamboo shot forward as she spoke, mentally accelerated as it left his hand with the speed and force as if it had been launched by a powerful rubber band. As the six foot long projectile raced forward covering the five foot gap between the two fighters in the blink of an eye the psychokinetic had also done his best to open a small tear in the combat suit to facilitate entry before the arrival of the speedy shaft. The targeted area was located at the soft joint of the skintight armor found between the pelvis and the top of the inner left thigh. If the makeshift spear with its wide hollow tip were to make contact with the unprotected soft tissue it would take a core of skin and flesh like a biopsy sample as it penetrated Aiyanna’s muscle mass.

Re: GR2011: Aiyanna vs Khayyam (R2) ( )

Postby barney_fife on Sat Aug 20, 2011 2:12 am

Aiyanna drew ever so closer, closing the distance between herself and her opponent. She did not slow out of fear, no she was planning, calculating something. As she closed the distance with her taunts, she highlighted each section of her opponent's form, right down to the fresh bamboo staff.

"Is it..."

As he moved to send his attack forward, her perception of time seemed to slow down with advance warning from the suit's systems and her own heightened perceptions she silenced herself as he made her attack and then she countered, as if she was calculating her thoughts through the viewfinder of a high-speed camera. His motion to send the bamboo shoot forward was also caught, highlighted a vivid red by the suit's targeting systems.

As he made his move she grinned, her trap had been sprung and she was going to move in for the kill, it was time to finish this fight for good.

The suit picked up stress in a very specific point near the pelvis and the thigh, a weak spot protected by Zero-G spun carbon-trinnium nanomesh that held together defiantly against the mental tug the tent-maker applied to it. If Khayyam was going to tear these fibers, he was going to have to exert an immense amount of force upon them likely much more than he was capable of, something equivalent to tearing the hull of a starship asunder. It seemed that this combat suit had no weakness, but there was no doubt the suit's defenses had registered the tug and the manipulation, all in nanoseconds as the bamboo spear began it's flight towards her.

Aiyanna reacted with lightning speed and alacrity, and within a few nanoseconds she had dropped the grappling gun, freeing up her second hand. She then made her countering move as the nanoseconds ticked up, assisted by the suit's defenses and enhanced articulators, it was as if everything seemed to slow down even more, in the very short amount of time it took for the spear to cross the distance she brought her hand and armored gauntlet outwards, it was in perfect harmony as her hand and fingers clasped around the shaft of the bamboo spear, just below the head, Aiyanna feigned being hit by throwing herself in a careful spin, but this was not the case, while in her spin she ducked low, sending the first tier in her multi-pronged attack towards Khayyam.

This made her seem like there were many of her at a time, as her articulators put her in a full nanosecond move, she deployed her multi-prong attack, it would be over before either the spear or the grappling hook hit the ground.

The small dagger seared towards him, slinging anti-mana isotope in all directions like spatter, the angular jagged combat blade spun and tumbled in the air towards Khayyam's stomach, just above the naval with deadly precision, the blade was sharpened to a molecular level, allowing it to cut through almost any non-metallic fibers with relative ease, and deliver it's deadly toxin directly into Khayyam's bloodstream, of course, from her previous encounters she knew he was going to psionically manipulate the small blade and stop it's trajectory. She knew, in the nanoseconds in her delivery that she had a very narrow window to complete her attack tier, and as the dagger sailed toward's it's target, she made her move, dropping the spear from her hands and lunging forward with lightning speed. Once again she subjected her advance to fast calculations, slowing down her perception of time to put her advance in slow motion, and bringing her anti-psionic defenses back online.

The suit activated it's targeting systems and began to highlight major organs, this was when Khayyam's beating heart was highlighted, and Aiyanna was going to move in for the kill. Once she closed the distance between the two fighters, she lunged her plasma blade forward, moving to plunge it deep into her opponent's chest and impale him directly through the heart with surgical precision, the combination of moves was lightning fast, defeating Khayyam's attack and swiftly countering the attack with an attack of her own. It was perfectly orchestrated synchronous movements, which brought Aiyanna so close to victory it was palpable, but she did not get cocky quite yet, still she waited to see the results of her attack, hoping that the next few moments would see the blade plunged deeply into Khayyam's chest, the magnetically encased superheated plasma likely slicing through his fabric defenses with ease. With their close proximity Khayyam could likely get a somewhat clear look at Aiyanna's face through the cold plazen glass visor, which was cold and calculating, she seemed to show no hesitation or remorse for her actions, her face was also subtly lit up by her various holographic targeting systems. If the sword could cut through dense metals, Dense trinnium Mesh, and Carbon fiber, then it would go through Khayyam's protective suit with ease, should her attack succeed, death would likely soon follow, with it's cold, icy grip.

"You're done, Khayyam." Were Aiyanna's only words.

Should Khayyam manage to parry or even evade Aiyanna's Coup d'grace, she would follow up with another series of attacks, bringing her step in a stable position, she performed a backwards swing back towards her opponent, with the intent on removing his head quickly and effectively. Her iron grip on the blade as it whooshed through the air, leaving a generous dose of ozone in it's wake, then Aiyanna stopped and waited to see the results of her salvo, she was prepared for everything, and so as she stood there, her suit's shields came back online, flickering to life the milky white barrier formed around her form, however the suit's central computer once again highlighted the area where Khayyam tried to damage, she would need to repair the damage when the fight was over.

And so she stood, slightly adjacent to her kill should her attacks have succeeded, the energy blade was outstretched, flickering and crackling as she watched, she was checking to see if he somehow survived, either by parrying the initial attack or dodging the second counterattack. It would be impossible to do so, as Aiyanna's mind processed much quicker than the human mind, she had carried her attacks before he could even react, her suit's calculations could not have failed her, and so she observed.
