Already poised for an attack Abby paused and watched him carefully, though a playful smirk was still pulling at her lips. Lowering her blades, Abigale sheathed the one on her back and kept the other in her hand. Holding out her right hand and firmly took Xaul's she pulled him to his feet.

As she walked over the crowd that gathered applauded the performance and leaned in to someone near the to talk about the forms, or the weapons used. "Come now, after all that you fall to a sprained ankle?" she laughed as she hauled him up and to his feet. "That's almost sad Xaul."

"And I give thanks to the Great Mother, Gaia, for the bounty of the land. May she-"

Zakus opened his eyes in mid-prayer. Something seemed strange. It felt like somewhere, something had just gone wrong. Inside his small cabin, Zakus looked down at the meat he was about to consume. He suddenly wasn't very hungry. He grabbed his Axe and walked outside. Looking into the forest, he noticed that the birds weren't singing. He shook his head, and he heard the birds again.

"All in my head..."

He still felt unsettled as he began to walk back into his home. He sat back down at his table, and picked up the haunch of meat he planned on eating. He suddenly wasn't hungry, but it was not good to waste food. It would make Zakus a hypocrite, after all. He took a bite of the meat. It didn't taste appetizing at all. It tasted old and bland, even though Zakus was sure that it was thoroughly cooked and piping hot.

"What is wrong here? Am I going mad?"

Zakus was puzzled and a bit disturbed as he took another bite of his meal.

As Abby hauled Xaul to his feet, he quickly drew Drshil and placed it to her stomach. “Matches aren’t over until someone leaves the circle or forfeits, lass. I win, and that’s not at all sad.” Grinning at Abby, he sheathed his weapon and went to collect Haingre. “You’re incredibly good, though. It’s not often that I have to resort to that. Not really my thing, either – the whole not killing thing.”

Xaul put away Haingre, and nodded to Abby. “What do you say to settling up for the repairs, and I’ll pay you back for that drink?”

Angel was in the woods next to a lake . She was practicing her sword movements. Everytime she moved the sword the rings on the blade made a ringing noise. That was one of the reasons that she loved to practice with it it relaxed her. She then placed it behind her back and her wings wrapped around the blade as if it was the case. Angel walked out of the forest and in to the city. She was walking to the city and people started staring at her at they way she had her dress and how silky it was. She walked into a blacksmith . "Is any one here" she said as she just looked around seeing that there were swords around.

Zanthax continued to stand in the rain, his body and clothes now completely soaked. He was unsure where to go, where to be, or what to do. Suddenly the rain stopped and he felt somewhat out of place. Was he even in the right town? Unsure of what to do, he decided finally to leave. Making sure his bow was still attatched to his back he headed down a dirt path that led right out of the city. He didn't know what direction he was going but it was better than not getting any help from anyone in the town.

Her jaw locking and eyes narrowing briefly on Xaul he watched his blade closely, but soon looked up at him and gave a kind smile, "Aye, you win," she said and sheathed her other sword. "Although I've never been a fan for trickery," she said and nodded to her father who nodded back to her in approval. As Abby turned to speak to Xaul again the crowd was already fading away, her father and brother already back in the forge. Opening her mouth to speak Abby froze when she heard the great roar of a dragon and the whisper of a woman.

"Abigale Blackstone. Xaul Knofker. You both have been chosen!" The voice echoed all around, everyone freezing and their eyes turned to the sky looking for the voice and the dragon. Looking down Althea smiled from the back of her dear friend Galdar, a very old and wise dragon that she knew since his hatching. Her blazing eyes coming to rest on the two on the ground, she motioned with her hand and Galdar swooped down towards them, veering away from the Earth when he was only 20 feet from the ground, Althea jumped off and landed gracefully in front of the two humans. Her body beautiful, exotic but frightening as the flames danced around her. A smile pulled at her lips as she looked at the two humans. "Do not stare to hard. You my hurt your eyes," she teased then her smile faded. "I come to you personally because of a great danger growing in the Spirit Mountains, and I chose you both to wield the power of the flames. I am unable to touch him for he put curses around his mountains to keep me and my sisters away. I rely on you both to carry on in my stead." Without waiting for a reply, for no one rejects a Goddess, Althea placed a palm on each of their brows and in a flash of light, she was gone.

"Elizibeth Rowen. Zakus Kolova." Gaia whispered from the trees all around them. Though they were in different areas, she could still speak with them like they were together. The roots around Elizibeth healing her legs as the wrapped up her. As the continued to grow, a similar cocoon grew just outside of Zakus' home. When they went away, Elizibeth was now there. Walking from the shadows of the trees a large stone gnome walked out from hiding, moss clinging all over its body, and upon its right shoulder sat the great Goddess Gaia. "I have chose you two to carry the power of Earth, for there is a great power growing in the Spirit Mountains that I and my sister cannot confront. And I am entrusting the two of you, to stop the tyrant from destroying everything, leaving the world in darkness." Without waiting Gaia extended her hands and two vines shot from the threes and wrapped themselves around the humans, covering them completely. Once they fell away harmlessly, Gaia and the gnome were both gone.

"Angel. Elisialynette Roinek." Alcyone's voice sang from the falling rain above. Her voice carrying that a crystal note. Watching from the waters falling from above, Alcyone summon her waters around Angel, drenching her until it seemed that she melted into the Earth, when the water carried her to Elisialynette's side. The rain falling, the water began to collect in front of the human girls, taking on the form of the Goddess Alcyone. Her face calm but stern, she looked at the two girls and extended one hand in the direction of the Spirit Mountain. "There a great evil grows, one building to take over, and swallow everything you know into darkness. I and my sisters cannot stop the terror for spells placed around the borded, so I entrust the two of you with the powers of the water, to bring this danger to a halt, before it is to late." Raising her arms the rain began to fall harder, soaking the girls, filling their lungs but not harming them. When the water cleared to allow them to see again, Alcyone was gone.

"Horatio Vaer. Zanthax Lefloris. I summon you to your home as the chosen ones," a soft hypnotic voice called from the winds. Around the two men, the wind grew more intense as it circled them. Then began moving so fast that the only thing she was sure they could see was the white wind surrounding them. With a flick of her wrist she carried them both to the High lands of her lands. The wind clearing Cassiopeia stood facing them both, her features soft, but fading slightly whenever the wind grew lighter. "I gift you both with the power of air," she purred to them, small faeries drifting around her as she spoke. "There is a danger unlike any other growing, and my sisters and I cannot stop this evil creature due to powerful spells cast. And now I turn to you both, to carry out in my favor. And stop this darkness." Smiling at them both and cocking her head slightly, the winds around them grew into a cyclone again. Once is cleared, Cassiopeia was gone.

All of the sister stood together now in a giant hall that was in a different realm. Standing in a circle, they placed their hands on top of one another and closed there eyes, a bright purple light forming. All four let out a gasp and the orb shot off into eight different directions, each striking one of the Gifted, and transported them in a bright flash to a burning village on the border of Gaia's and Alcyone's land. All was dark, and creatures of shadow were creeping about, seeking out any whom still survive in the village. All at once, the Goddess spoke inside the eights minds, "Use your gifts and save these lands! For you are our only hope," then their voices faded away, leaving the eight together lying in a burnt field a couple miles outside of the village.

Angel was astonished as she suddenly appeared infront of a burning village. She didn't know what to do but to listen to the voice that was inside her head. She then suddenly used her instincts and just went with the flow. As she was saoked in water she suddenly started to move her hands in a wavy way like if dancing . Then the water started collecting into a ball and it became bigger and bigger. She then raised her hand and the ball started going upward and then she opened her arms wide and the water started scattering and put down the flames a bit . But the heat was still strong. AS she soon saw that a shodow was coming toward her. She then untanggled her wings that wrapped the sword and pulled it out. The rings around it made noise wich attracted more attention to her. "Help somebody I don't think that i can take all of them out" she said as she plunged it into a shadow and then ripping it of and cutting the body in half

Staring into the beautiful deadliness of Althea’s eyes, Xaul spoke to her. But why me? I’m tainted, corrupt. No one wants me, especially not you. Then, everything turned inside out for a split second. The caress of the purple orb, the teleportation…

Xaul stood, shaking his head. “Wait, what?” He stood, confused, until he saw the shadows. Then, his rage awoke. His Kounnar, dormant for so long, intertwined with his new powers to rise again. His tattoos, once simply red sigils that faded in and out, blazed to life, suffusing the area with a blood red light.

Xaul smiled his death’s head grin, and drew his throwing knives. Several were sent fling into the shadows nearest the winged girl, and more flew forwards into the main pack of the shadows. Drawing his katars, Xaul ran forward and dove at the first shadow, not even noticing that the blades of his katars beginning to glow. Imbedding the now-heated blades into the chests of two shadows, Xaul opened the blades and savagely pulled, disemboweling the shadows. The next two died just as easily, and Xaul began to laugh as he slaughtered his enemies. To anyone listening, this was not a remotely sane or healthy laugh, but Xaul was beyond caring. The waves of shadows swept over him, but he only laughed louder as he welcomed his death, gladly trading it for the deaths that he was causing.

Shade Darkstar Looked over his troops an army of Shadow warriors given to him by the Shadow God, the God that would soon rule this world.
"On my mark unleash Hell" Shade ordered as he looked at the small, peaceful village below him. Shade raised his hand and from it came a dark fire that set as a wall around the village.
"Kill them all, leave none alive, turn this village to ash"

The Shadows charged forward slaying and burning as they went. Shade then saw them 8 warriors appear from no where.
"Just as the God said the heros are here" Spoke a Shadow
"ready the second wave I'll lead them myself"
Shade drew his sword and shield both of them glowed with a black light.
He turned to his men a raising his sword yelled "Warriors of Shadow! Onward to victory!"
Shade then started the charge an evil grin on his face

"I knew it."

That was Zakus' first thought as he recovered from the teleportation. "I knew something was wrong!" he said out loud this time. Now wasn't the right time to be focused on being right about something being wrong with the world. Now was the time for action. He readied his axe at the shadows, and then questioned his actions.

Were there people in the village?

"Human lives come first! We have to go in and get all of them out! We'll worry about these beasts when we have the chance! Come on!" Zakus yelled to the rest of them as he ran towards the village, cleaving a shadow in two. There weren't a lot of shadows, but there were definitely enough to hinder movement without being harmed. Perhaps the shadows should come first for now. Regardless, Zakus pushed onward into shadow after shadow, engaging in armed combat with his trust battle axe. He had yet to use his powers, and why should he? Nothing beat his good ol' battle axe.

Elisi awoke to the felling of ash falling on her face. her eyes shot wide as she shot up to a scream, " Cessy!". She was there in the field, 7 other people near her. She gripped her heart, feeling like it was tugged upon. a tear slid down her face. Elisi looked at the 7 faces. Each of them looked determined. Her cold eyes fixated as she stood up. her hood fell off her head, slightly torn.

Her blue hair glistened in the breeze of ash and soot. The burning red before her that was the village. her eyes stuck onto it as she remembered the clouds. The goddess's kind words sunk in, like a wreck into the cold sea. With a heavy heart she grabbed her shears.

was this what the elder told me about? Maybe that rain would be good right now...

" Hello...." Elisi said to the group.

Tyler felt something inside of him rushing, twirling, vibrating,it inflated him and pushed and pushed until he was groaning in pain and then he was in a burning village.Looking around he spotted a little kid hanging from a windowsill he was crying sobbing and yelling for help, and then he slipped."No!"Tyler screamed and his voice came with a rush of air that seemed to catch the kid and float him to the ground.Turning he spotted a group fighting shadows putting a sharpening guard on his whip Tyler leaped into the fight sending a shadow flying into the air with a whisper and then slicing another in half with his whip he twirled and spun like the wind he had been given power over.

After a while the shadows realized he wasn't a villager and kept their distance forming a circle around him they waited trying to intimidate him but Tyler only smiled and blew but as soon as he did three shadows leaped at him from behind.

Zanthax was shocked at first when the rush of wind began to circle him. It was all happening so fast that he forgot everything that had happened. The next thing he knew, he was in a burning village, the flames swirling and grasping the life of the woods, grass and the nature before him. There were others there that seemed as confused as he was. Soon they began to attack the shadows that he had just begun to notice.

Taking out his bow, he sent an arrow flying. It spun towards one of the shadows, its speed remarkable as the wind seemed to push it faster and faster. It pierced the shadow, the darkness suddenly evaporating but it wasn't the end. The arrow continued, turning and swurving to attack any other shadows in its path. The wind seemed to edge it on and it brought a smile to Zan's face. His smile was more of a smirk and he placed another arrow on the string. He released this one as well and it began to fly like the other arrow.

The first arrow hit a wall, shattering the wood completely and the spearlike edge of the arrow remained in the wall while the stem of it was gone. It splintered the wall as well and Zan's eyes widened with shock. He released a silent woah which actually sent a tube of wind blowing at one of the flaming houses. The fire began to cringe away from the wind and soon the fire stopped on that house. It was burned and charred but still stood and Zan was now completely shocked. Where did he get these powers?

IC:
Abby couldn't do anything more then stare at the great Goddess who stood in front of her, and of all things speaking directly to her. Her mind racing and blood still pumping, Abby felt the world around her spin and everything seemed to go dark from a moment. When her eyes opened again she saw that there were six others besides her and Xaul just outside of the burning village.

Just as she was about to open her mouth to ask a question she froze when she saw strange shadow like creatures lurking in the village, some turning to attack. Watching as the others rushed forward Abby held both her blades firm, her fury growing when she realized what exactly these things did.

Walking towards the village, every step she took left the ground where her feet were slightly singed. Where did this come from? Why me? Abby thought to herself as she walked closer, her walk turning into a jog and her weapons held at the ready. Her mind still trying to keep up a creature with dragon like claws launched itself at her. Without hesitation Abby side stepped and swung her blade, just as her metal his its flesh, her blade burst into bright red and orange flames, assisting her in severing the creatures head from its shoulders, the heat stopping any mess if the creature even bled. "I like this," Abby said looked at her flaming blades and smile, "I like this a lot." Pausing for only a second more she dove further into the village.

Xaul, despite what has happened to you, you are powerful, faithful, and I have not turned my back on you. You are a good strong man who has seen the light to help guide you away from the shadows. Don't lose that light Xaul, and you will never lose me. I am here for both you and Abigale now. When you need me, just call to me.
