Her jaw locking and eyes narrowing briefly on Xaul he watched his blade closely, but soon looked up at him and gave a kind smile, "Aye, you win," she said and sheathed her other sword. "Although I've never been a fan for trickery," she said and nodded to her father who nodded back to her in approval. As Abby turned to speak to Xaul again the crowd was already fading away, her father and brother already back in the forge. Opening her mouth to speak Abby froze when she heard the great roar of a dragon and the whisper of a woman.
"Abigale Blackstone. Xaul Knofker. You both have been chosen!" The voice echoed all around, everyone freezing and their eyes turned to the sky looking for the voice and the dragon. Looking down Althea smiled from the back of her dear friend Galdar, a very old and wise dragon that she knew since his hatching. Her blazing eyes coming to rest on the two on the ground, she motioned with her hand and Galdar swooped down towards them, veering away from the Earth when he was only 20 feet from the ground, Althea jumped off and landed gracefully in front of the two humans. Her body beautiful, exotic but frightening as the flames danced around her. A smile pulled at her lips as she looked at the two humans. "Do not stare to hard. You my hurt your eyes," she teased then her smile faded. "I come to you personally because of a great danger growing in the Spirit Mountains, and I chose you both to wield the power of the flames. I am unable to touch him for he put curses around his mountains to keep me and my sisters away. I rely on you both to carry on in my stead." Without waiting for a reply, for no one rejects a Goddess, Althea placed a palm on each of their brows and in a flash of light, she was gone.
"Elizibeth Rowen. Zakus Kolova." Gaia whispered from the trees all around them. Though they were in different areas, she could still speak with them like they were together. The roots around Elizibeth healing her legs as the wrapped up her. As the continued to grow, a similar cocoon grew just outside of Zakus' home. When they went away, Elizibeth was now there. Walking from the shadows of the trees a large stone gnome walked out from hiding, moss clinging all over its body, and upon its right shoulder sat the great Goddess Gaia. "I have chose you two to carry the power of Earth, for there is a great power growing in the Spirit Mountains that I and my sister cannot confront. And I am entrusting the two of you, to stop the tyrant from destroying everything, leaving the world in darkness." Without waiting Gaia extended her hands and two vines shot from the threes and wrapped themselves around the humans, covering them completely. Once they fell away harmlessly, Gaia and the gnome were both gone.
"Angel. Elisialynette Roinek." Alcyone's voice sang from the falling rain above. Her voice carrying that a crystal note. Watching from the waters falling from above, Alcyone summon her waters around Angel, drenching her until it seemed that she melted into the Earth, when the water carried her to Elisialynette's side. The rain falling, the water began to collect in front of the human girls, taking on the form of the Goddess Alcyone. Her face calm but stern, she looked at the two girls and extended one hand in the direction of the Spirit Mountain. "There a great evil grows, one building to take over, and swallow everything you know into darkness. I and my sisters cannot stop the terror for spells placed around the borded, so I entrust the two of you with the powers of the water, to bring this danger to a halt, before it is to late." Raising her arms the rain began to fall harder, soaking the girls, filling their lungs but not harming them. When the water cleared to allow them to see again, Alcyone was gone.
"Horatio Vaer. Zanthax Lefloris. I summon you to your home as the chosen ones," a soft hypnotic voice called from the winds. Around the two men, the wind grew more intense as it circled them. Then began moving so fast that the only thing she was sure they could see was the white wind surrounding them. With a flick of her wrist she carried them both to the High lands of her lands. The wind clearing Cassiopeia stood facing them both, her features soft, but fading slightly whenever the wind grew lighter. "I gift you both with the power of air," she purred to them, small faeries drifting around her as she spoke. "There is a danger unlike any other growing, and my sisters and I cannot stop this evil creature due to powerful spells cast. And now I turn to you both, to carry out in my favor. And stop this darkness." Smiling at them both and cocking her head slightly, the winds around them grew into a cyclone again. Once is cleared, Cassiopeia was gone.
All of the sister stood together now in a giant hall that was in a different realm. Standing in a circle, they placed their hands on top of one another and closed there eyes, a bright purple light forming. All four let out a gasp and the orb shot off into eight different directions, each striking one of the Gifted, and transported them in a bright flash to a burning village on the border of Gaia's and Alcyone's land. All was dark, and creatures of shadow were creeping about, seeking out any whom still survive in the village. All at once, the Goddess spoke inside the eights minds, "Use your gifts and save these lands! For you are our only hope," then their voices faded away, leaving the eight together lying in a burnt field a couple miles outside of the village.
