Harm looked around the bar in hope to find someone he was to bring the Admiral. Of course as usual he didn't find them in the tiny little restaurant. He knew this guy was under investigation for murdering a mass amount of shipmates and it was often a wonder why there was a survivor.

Elsie, age twenty-five was in the commode when the massacre started. She heard shots and was about to come out when she heard her friends scream. She heard the Captain say there was no one else on board before he was shot execution style. She had seen it all through a crack in the door.

She now was stationed in protective custody under close watch of quite a few doctors. And once the guy was behind bars she would voluntarily move to an institute. Of course she was removed from the navy but the government was giving her an early retirement and paying the hospital bills.

Sad to say the French were more under control with their military the Americans were. Harm looked again around the little restaurant called The Wonderland Café and thought he saw his man. Deciding to play it out for a few he took a seat next to a window and waited for the waitress or someone to come by. Slipping his hat off, he put it on the table in front of him and kept his eyes on the suspect but still acted as if he had just stopped in. The murderer didn't know that the Americans knew he was in France and sent the French JAG after him.

Wednesday morning, Acelynn woke up early, well before her alarm, as usual. Another day at the café, she told herself. Wrapping a short, silk robe around her simple lingerie, she walked down the stairs from her bedroom to the kitchen. Acelynn knew which steps would creek before she even step foot on them. This old, traditional French style, spacious two bedroom home had been her parents; She grew up here.

In the kitchen, Acelynn pulled out her french press and began to prepare her usual morning espresso. She took a seat at the tiny, circular breakfast table, grabbed her well organized event planner and read it over... (1) feed the cat, (2) air up bicycle tire, (3) grab eggs for the café, (4) meet with newspaper writer for article on café, so on and so on... Same shit, different day, she laughed to herself.

Acelynn walked over to the cabinet next to the sink, pulled out cat food, and dumped some into the dish. "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty," she called. "It's breakfast time, Pumpkin." Acelynn loved her black cat, Pumpkin, so named because she found him on her doorstep years ago on Halloween. That holiday had always been her favorite. Oh, I feel so accomplished I can already cross one thing of my to-do list and it's not even six yet, she said sarcastically to Pumpkin who was now under her feet eating.

Acelynn poured her espresso and headed back upstairs for her daily routine of getting ready... a long hot shower, twenty minutes to tame her long dark hair, ten minutes to apply bold eyeliner and classic mascara, and then it's off to her wardrobe to decide on an outfit. Don't be silly, Ace. You're headed to the café, why wear something different than you always do? She asked herself as she pulled on her jeans, a black polo shirt, and the black converse she'd had for years.

With no time left to air up her bike tire, she decided to walk to her business. Pulling out her phone, on the five city block walk, she dialed the café's number. Someone has to be there by now, she thought. "Hey, it's Ace. I'm on my way, but I know we're almost out of eggs. Would you mind sending out one of the boys after them? I want to get some quiches baked for lunch today... Okay, thank you, Denise. See you soon." Acelynn had opened the café just over three years ago. She was fresh out of college and her parents funded the capital it took to start it all up. Denise came around shortly afterwards, taking on the position of manger. She was five years older than Acelynn, had a heart of gold, and was a hard worker. Acelynn felt safe leaving her in charge.

Arriving just before the café opened, Acelynn headed right for the kitchen. The boy had already been to the market down the street and back, so she was ready to prepare the quiches herself.

The business day started out like every other. The regulars stopped by for their usual lunches, the laptop clad, college students got their large coffees and parked themselves by a power outlet, and the occasional tourist made their way in. Just after mid-day, as Acelynn stood behind the counter, making the usual chit-chat with a regular, she spotted an unfamiliar face. "I'll take him," she called to one of her servers. Acelynn always wanted her hand in everything, it was her business right?

As she approached the properly dressed gentleman, she couldn't help but notice how attractive her was. Early thirties, and probably married, she thought. "Hello, sir, and welcome to my café! I'm the owner Acelynn." She was stunned by his brilliant green eyes. "I see you're well dressed, they keep you at the office, making you take a late lunch?" She giggled.

"How about a house soecial and you keep the change." He handed her a twenty and smiled at her. cute late twenties most defiantly the owner.he thought while flashing her a grin. He returned his eyes to the stranger to see he had moved but was apparently reading a book of some sort.

"Oh sir, don't be silly. I'll bring you the change back." She smiled, impressed with his kindness. He's not French, but most definitely American, she thought. Acelynn had never been too fond of Americans; she didn't care for the poor taste in fashion, music, or even politics. She couldn't really complain, as she'd never been to the states, and currently their economy was booming, unlike poor France. Acelynn found the gentleman nice, and of course handsome. I'll let the fact he's American slide, this time. "I baked some ham and broccoli quiches myself this morning; I'd say that was the special today. And I'll bring you a cup of our house blend coffee. Do you take cream and sugar?" She asked politely.

"Cream no sugar." He smiled to her. She was defiantly french and knew she wouldn't accept the change unless it was a tip which was fine by him. He like this store and knew he would have to come back again. for the girl or the food?he thought. He saw the $an stand up and began to exit. He apologized and left a fifty left within a dollar bill on the table as he left the store. He followed the guy closely and watched his environment around him. The guy knew he was being tailed and began to turn corners at random places. Eventually, Harm lost him.

"Coming right up," she said, but the gentleman was standing up as if to leave. "Sir, it will only take a minute, I could even package it up to go for you if you must leave now!" But it was no use.. he apologized sincerely and walked out of the café. She noticed a dollar he left on the table. Smiling to herself, she picked up the bill, only to realize he'd left a $50 hidden inside. Oh geez, she thought. He was so nice, and for him to leave such a large bill in these tough times is quite charming.

Walking back behind the counter, she found Denise and told her about the man. "Denise, he was so handsome, an American gentleman. He seemed to be in his early thirties and his green eyes where amazing. He acted kind of weird, said he was watching someone. Is that creepy?" She turned to Denise with a concerned looked. "Oh, who am I kidding? He may be been sorta awkward, but damn, he was handsome." She laughed. Acelynn wondered if he'd ever come back, and if he did, would it be soon?

He frowned as he searched for the man with no luck. Making his way back to the cafe it had taken him a few hours to become unlost. He waited outside a second before going in.

Walking in he smiled and went up to the counter. "I was wondering if I could get that house special now. Only fresh." He said with a smile.

When Acelynn saw the man walking back into her café, she was thrilled. "Oh Denise, there he is again!" She giggled to her close friend. "Don't let me act like an idiot!"

When he walked up to the counter and asked for the house special again, Acelynn replied, "Why of course, you may have a fresh house special." She turned around to the coffee pot and poured him a cup of her house blend. "The cream is just down the counter." She said as she handed him the coffee mug. "Just take a seat wherever you like, and I'll have the quiche out to you shortly." Acelynn loved the man's smile and mysterious air about him. I must learn his name and more about him, she told herself.

He took the house blend coffee and smiled at the pretty lady. He took a seat and waited for the quiche. He was mad at himself that he lost the witness. He looked at the waitress who might just be the owner and wondered what her name was.

He heard his phone go off and he answered it, "Harm speaking... Yes I saw him followed him then lost him... I am sorry sir... Yes sir... I'll talk to you tomorrow then sir... Bye Sir." He closed the phone and put his hand over his temple and began rubbing them. Of course his boss was pissed he lost the witness. And now he would have to work his arse off to get back in good graces.

((OOC: I introduced my character (name and the fact she was the owner) when she first met Harmon. Read back over, it's like the third post from the top! It's important to remember those details so we don't repeat ourselves, hehe))

Acelynn was walking out of the kitchen and towards the gentleman, when she overheard his conversation. Ah, so he is following someone. I hope he's not just some weirdo. Maybe he works in the government? Careful not to drop the quiche, she set it down in front of him. "Careful, sir... it's hot!" She warned. "Please, let me know what you think?! It's a new recipe I'm trying out. Hopefully my customers will enjoy it." She began to walk away slowly, hoping he'd stop her. With only about an hour and a half left until she was to go home, Acelynn wanted to sit and talk to the man for the rest of her shift.

Tonight, her café was closing early, as tomorrow was the day she transformed it into a soup kitchen. All day she'd except every desperate soul into her café, no questions asked, and fill their stomachs. If the government wasn't going to do a damn thing for them, Acelynn figured she could take a small step to help on her own. Maybe this gentleman would be around tomorrow, too..?

Harm tried the Quiche and smiled. It was exquisite. He said, "This is really good, Acelynn am i correct?" He knew she had overheard some of his conversation and wondered what she heard exactly. He motioned to the seat in front of him and hoped she would take it and talk with him a little. It was getting late and threating for rain later on in the night however threats weren't very promising lately. "May I ask what you heard from my conversation?"

"I'm so glad you like, sir. And yes, you're correct, my name is Acelynn." She smiled at the fact he had remembered her name. When he asked what all of his conversation she had heard she got nervous. He obviously has something to hide if he's worried I heard too much! Please don't be a creep! She pleaded as she took the seat across from him.

"I heard nothing, really," she lied. "A lot of people spend their time here on the phone; I've learned to tune it out, actually." Acelynn laughed, hoping to lighten up the mood. "And now if I might ask some questions..." She flashed a smirk, "What is your name, sir? And have to just moved here or just on business? I don't think I've ever seen you around."

He looked at her and smiled. "Name is Harm and I'm currently here on business. I work as a Naval Lawyer." and why we have to chase our suspects is way beyond my knowledge. He looked out the window. Across the street was a couple getting a little to close for public veiw at a small cafe and a guy behind them reading a newspaper. Harm thought he saw the guy look at him but didn't want to make a big deal about it so he turned his eyes back towards Acelynn. She had beautiful long black hair and stunning blue eyes. She looked as though this cafe was her whole life and Harm wondered if that was true. "How long have you been the owner of this cafe?" He asked, his eyes wondering around the cafe for anything supicious.

((OOC: ^^ MUCH better, thanks!))

"Harm, the Naval lawyer, huh?" Acelynn smiled. "Very impressive!" Okay, so he works for the American government, but why is he following people? Weird...

Acelynn never turned down a chance to talk about her café. "I opened The Wonderland Café, pretty much after I graduated college, almost five years ago now. My parents helped me foot the bill to get it all started," she began. "Opening this café was my dream & it's my life now. I love every minute of it. A lot of locals hang out here, both the old and the young, but times have been tough the last three years or so here in France." She wasn't sure how often he'd been in her part of the world.

"The people are starting to create an uprising against our government. They've been promising to help us for years, but nothing has been done. They've promised to help our local businesses, like my café, to help our public places, like the parks, and to help the people, with food costs and health care. So many promises, so little action." Acelynn was very passionate about her business and her country. In her eyes, the people of France needed to be helped; They were desperate. People losing their homes and life savings, some were even in the streets starving.

"Tonight I close my café early, as tomorrow I open it as a soup kitchen. It's my way of helping others. I open my doors to anyone and everyone who needs to be fed. You know, I could use all the help in the world tomorrow." She winked at Harm. "Might you be around? Could you spare a few hours out of your busy day to help fill the empty stomachs of my fellow citizens?"

Was asking Harm to help her too bold a move? Acelynn could be overbearing sometimes and she hoped, this wasn't one of the times. She was fervent in her quest for change.
