Koenma sat in his office, dark circles and bags were under his eyes due to the lack of sleep, his small fingers rubbed his temples in minute circles as he stared at the paper before him. His father was going to murder him if this wasn't fixed soon. He gazed up as the door opened and Botan walked slowly in, a sense of greif about her presense. Her bubble gum pink eyes looked to the toddler as she sat a file down on his desk. He quickly opened it with trembling fingers, what could possibly make his day worse? His thoughts then faultered as he scanned over the names, places, and things. This definately made his day worse. Makai was falling apart, the barrier wasn't what is used to be, and worst of all his detectives were in danger.
Meanwhile...
The cool autumn breeze swayed the tree tops lazily, like there were no worries in the world at the moment. School was in session and it was Friday before Fall Break. The streets were relitavely empty, except for the car or pedestrian every now and again. The bell sounded the end of the school day and the gates and sidewalks slowly filled with students, ready for the much needed break from learning. Many girls hugged their coats close to them as the breeze picked up just slightly, it was odd weather for this time of year, but it was expected, all hell had broken loose in Makai.
