As she reached the tavern, it was eerily quiet. I don't like the sound of that. Or perhaps he closed it down until repairs. I hope. Taking in a deep breath, she walked up to the door that was finally put back on its hinges. She pulled it open, in hopes it was locked. No, it wasn't as a matter of fact. "Great." Cade breathed before looking into the pitch dark tavern. Run in, run out. Thats it.
Nodding to herself, the woman slipped through the tavern and hurried up the steps to the first room which was hers. So far so good. She opened the door and slipped inside, turning to her source of light which was candle. Before she could light it though, she felt breathing down the back of her neck and her face went white.
"Leave it off." The voice growled low before he hands reared back and he back handed the woman, sending her flying against a wall. "I heard from the old man you had carried out a bag full of money before he fired you." His bright yellow eyes shined in the dark as the werewolf crouched down on all fours and padded his way over. Cade couldn't see but his teeth were baring and drool dripping down on the floor.
Cade recovered and flipped over on her back, her heart pounding heavily. She gulped, eyes trying to adjust to the light in the tavern. "I-I gave it back t-to the man. H-He didn't deserve to pay af-after getting ki-kicked out." The girl was shaking severely, stuttering. WHY?! Why did I have to go in?!
The werewolf crawled over top of her, purposely slamming his paws down close to Cades face. His claw scraped her cheek, pulling his lips up into a smug grin. "You hear that boys? What a sweetheart eh?" A few other eyes lit up the room, all snickering to themselves. He lifted a paw up, quieting them before slamming it back down near the womans head. "Now it seems we've got a problem then missy. You're in dept and I do believe tomorrow is your last day to cough up some gold."
Cade went silent, trying to think her way out of this. What would my sister do? what would my sister do? Come on think! OW! Her head turned abruptly to the side as the werewolf overtop of her slices his claw over it. A single tear slid down her cheek before she began screaming. "Mr. Grimsford?! Mr. Grimsford!!"
The werewolf pinned his ears down and he lowered his face inches from her face before yelling, sending drool flying on the human. His fur bristled. "Shut up! The old man is dead."
