If you wish to join in, read the other information in the OOC Thread and post your profile there to be accepted. Also refer there for kingdom and race descriptions. Here is the link: OOC Thread

The Brief Story
The on going war between the humans, vampires, witches and werewolves had lasted for more than a 1000 years. The death toll was so great on each side that the faction leaders finally came together to form a new peace. Thus our current peaceful age of prosperity was born. ((This is just a brief to the point summary. More of the history will be revealed later on. As like all wars, each faction will have their own story on what happened.))

Head Chairman's Part In The War

Cyrus grew up in the mountainous region of Kaldaka where he moved with his tribe from outpost to outpost. This time was rough to be born as families were split and working on helping supply the war between races. He constantly trained each time they moved, progressing through the stages of becoming a warrior to fight along side his father. His father was the leader of the werewolf tribe at that time and led his team of warriors throughout the war. When it came time for him to leave to the battlefield, a letter was sent to him that his father had been killed and appointed him to lead his group. No time to weap for his lost kin, Cyrus immediately went to the field to take the place of his father.

Cyrus led a successful group of barbarians and warriors through the fields, taking down anything who dared crossed their path. Years after years the battle continued, his men finally growing too weak from exhaustion. Younger warriors took the place of the elder ones and once he saw his younger brother, not even ready to step foot in battle, standing beside him..he had enough. He called off all attacks from his team and walked out onto the field towards the opposing leaders, proposing a meeting. It took a lot of trying and reasoning but each one finally saw what he saw. Their young was being destroyed, not able to finish their childhood to fight a never ending war. The death toll was growing with each day they fought and the entire kingdom was laying in ruins. It was time to band together to recreate their once beautiful lands thus The Council was created and the peace treaty was formed.

100 years later, all of the controversy is finally over and each race for the most part has accepted their neighbors as friends instead of foes. Now he stands as ruler of the kingdom, overlooking from the very top tower of his castle to make sure no new war begins.

Guidelines and other Information

The Rules
-Obviously the forums rule apply and the standard rping rules that should be common sense to most of you. This includes no godmodding or any other modding what so ever.
-All posts should be at least a paragraph (three to four sentences). No one liners please. You can be descriptive, i know you can. :)
-Only accepted members can post in the IC Thread and only IC can happen there. (Unless it's something like trying to explain something you feel may be confusing to the readers or stating this is your last post for the night or something.) I'm not too strict on this, I just want more IC posts than ooc. :P
-Follow the rules of the land. See below to read more in it. I will be keeping track of each sections weather and whether it is morning, afternoon or night.
-PLEASE specify where your character is on the very top of your post. Kind of like a title. (Ie: Cade is in Kaldaka) This is only for organization since this world we're rping in is huge! This also helps other rpers trying to join in to find where the most people are at so they can drop their character there and begin rping.
-Speaking dropping characters. Your very first post will start you out in this vast world so be careful where you drop your character at in the kingdom. Once you post, you'll begin the rules of the land rule for the rest of your posts. :P
-I have the full right to add more rules as I wish. I will warn you if I do. :)

The Council

Currently, since this thread is very new, I will be playing the entire council. However, when I get more people, I will be searching for people to take the npcs place of each race to be my council. Obviously I'll be staying the Head Chairmen.

In the story, The current Council is responsible for the private treaty between all races. Each main race has a spot in the council and that person has the responsibility to be the leader of their own town. All decisions however, will be discussed with the Head Chairmen. All of the council communicate either by traveling to a chosen town or through hawks who travel from town to town with a message tied to their foot.

Current Council

The Head Chairmen:
Lord Cyrus Sjachpaw

Council
Lord Bade Othokenti - Voice of the Werewolves
Lady Eadoin Svorcra - Voice of the Witches
Count Daemyn Thurkear - Voice of the Vampires
Lord Galvin Temesj - Voice of the Humans

Rules of the Land

Due to finding this rule faulty, it is now revamped. New rule:

Your traveling is based on your posts. It will take three, count them, THREE, posts in order to travel from one town to the next.

Your first post is describing you heading out of the first town.
Your second post is describing how your travel is going between towns.
Your third post is describing you entering your next destination.

How Time Works:

Time works this way. Don't worry you wont have to keep track, I will. But this is so you know the ways of my madness. Starting now, I will determine the exact time it is in the game. Once I determine this, every single post after will equal 5 minutes of the games time.

The math: 12 posts = 1 hour of game time.

Suggestions/comments on this are welcome.

Your Forcast For Today Is...

This will be updated constantly throughout the day so keep an eye on it.

This count is counting the days to help you keep track.
Day: 2

Time of Day: 11:00am

Weather

Outposts of Kaldaka: The snow has become still but thick cloud cover in the distance meant more snow will come. Perhaps a snow storm. Start preparing for one.

Village of Arcaniss: The forest's normal humidity is back instead of the icky stuff the storm had brought a few days ago. The climate is fair, what the witches are use to.

Town of Iejir: The storm has finally moved off, leaving the town drenched and wind damage. Humidity has also hit but not as bad as they're out in the open unlike the forest area.

Town of Sthyr: Beach weather! The weather is fair here. Only a few white fluffy clouds are in the sky and the beach is causing the breeze to blow gentle and cool. The water on the beach is calm and slightly warm. Warm temperatures.

Ulnaus City: The storm has come, though weaker than what it was at Iejir as it lost it's ocean it was feeding off of. It will still bring lots of rain, lightning and thunder. The air will grow cool with this storm system. The storm should begin to get bad closer to noon.

Your News For Today...

When the main plot thickens, a note about what page and what character/screen name starts it will be put here. Little bits and pieces will be thrown in throughout the rp. :) See if you can put the puzzle together.

Puzzle Piece 1 - Page 2: Started by Caedes/Archelaus and Araalynn/Lord Galvin Temesj - Voice of the Humans(Color coded as green as I play too many characters.)

Puzzle Piece 2 - Page 8-9: Started by Eli/Ambassador and Lord Cyrus Sjachpaw - Kingdom Leader. Started by Archelaus/Caedes and Lord Galvin.

Ninette is in Kaldaka.

Clang! Clang! Clang! The sound of metal on metal echoed through the outposts of Kaldaka as the local blacksmith was busily at work with one of his customers. Outside the open shed type shop, a short human woman was leaning against the pole. Her head was tilted up to stare up at the morning sky, allowing the snow rest upon her nose. This was Ninette and she was normally here surrounded by werewolves. It's where she enjoyed to be.

Sitting beside her was a normal grey wolf, his golden eyes staring hard at the blacksmith who was busy working on making horseshoes for his owners horse. Every now and then he'd turn his head to glance up to Ninette but very quickly locked his gaze onto the intimidating looking blacksmith. Troth was very loyal to Ninette and guarded her every waking moment.

Ninette's nose wrinkled up to allow the bits of snow to brush off her face before finally speaking, to no one in particular. "The weather is beautiful this morning."

The dirty looking blacksmith was leaned over a horses leg, studying the hoof carefully to make sure he had sized the horseshoe perfectly. When he heard the human girl speak, all he did was grunt. The man then turned back to his anvil where he began perfecting the shape of the horseshoe. Clang! Clang! Clang!

Ninette smirked as she heard the blacksmith grunt. Her head turned, waist long hair hiding her face so as to hide her eyes peeking through to view the werewolf out of the corner of her eye. Werewolves intrigued her, even in their human form. Their eyes were still most shocking. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Her hand dropped to pat Troth, her pet wolf, on top of his head.

Once again the blacksmith grunted, stopping what he was doing to finally look up at the human. His eyes were a bright almost yellow green. His eyes then very quickly snapped on Troth, realizing the wolf was giving a cold stare. His lip raised, growling low before speaking. "I'm busy." Was all the man said, in a very rough tone.

Once again the girl smirked, sticking her tongue out at him before turning to view the outpost. Only a few werewolves were walking about, the rest still sleeping in until it got a little later in the morning. Some were in their human form and others were standing tall and proud as actual werewolves. Even if they were feral and intimidating looking, Ninette wished she could go up and hug each and every one.

"Done." Once again the blacksmith spoke in his growling tone of voice as he set the horses leg down and wandered over to the front desk. He pulled out a quill and ink bottle to write up a report. His gaze was focused on the peice of parchment paper while speaking. "That'll be 5g."

Ninette reached back to wrap her arms behind her around the post she had been leaning on. Slowly she twisted around the pole to now face the front desk, an innocent look on her face as she cleared her throat at the blacksmith.

The clearing of the humans throat was enough for the werewolf to understand and he sighed heavily, pulling his large hand into a fist. "What is it this time?" Yes, the werewolf knew this girl all too well. He slowly looked up, raising an eyebrow at the girl.

The girl finally let go of the pole and stepped up to the desk, setting down a hand written card on top of the report the blacksmith had wrote. "Free lunch?" Ninette batted her eyes innocently, pulling her lips up into a wide grin. "It's local this time too. My sister down in Ulcaus got in trouble for writing too many of these so I asked the owner of this tavern."

"And what..pray tell..did you do as a favor for her?" The blacksmith leaned down to rest his head in his hand, awaiting the girl to go on about her clever plan. He was beginning to think this girl never bought anything with real money.

Ninette held up a folded letter, waving it in the blacksmiths face so he could get the scent of a female's perfume that was put on it. She then set the letter down in front of him, winking. "Deliver her letter to her crush." As soon as the letter was set down, the blacksmith quickly snatched it up and turned his back on the human to hide what it said. She knew when she wasn't wanted anymore and the girl wandered up to her horse, leading her out of the shop. "Thanks for shoeing Aussmir!" Once again I get out of paying for something. This is too easy. The girl snickered to herself as she mounted up on Aussmir, glancing down to her pet wolf who walked up beside the horse. "Where to now boy?"

Vlad woke up early like he did everyday. He wiped the eye crust from his eyes and stretched. The cool breeze felt good against his wakeing bones.vlad looked up at the sky and saw black clouds form off into the distance. He could smell the rain.

"Looks like the storm will be here soon better sleep indoors for this one."-Vlad said as he put rabit meat on his pan and began cooking his breakfast.

Vlad bit into the juicy meat enjoying every bit of it.He was happy because of the last few days he had just been eating herbs and roots he found in the forest areas. He finished off his meal and began walking on the dirt road once again. He smiled as he walked enjoying the birds sing and the critters of the areas on the morning hunt.He enjoyed life out of anything in the world even more then any woman.

After a hour of walking a group of men crossed paths with Vlad on the road.Vlad could smell the blood on the men he could tell by the way they dressed they were bandits.Vlad sighed knowing how this would end.

"I am Bul leader of the red axe gang!"-One of the bandits said stepping out from the group.

Vlad could tell from their weapons and speech they were at the bottom of the crime chain.

"I am Vlad ordinary travler.what can i do for you."-Vlad said getting down into a bow.

"Two hundreed gold for you to use our road."-Bul said raising his rusted sword for all to see.

By all means Vlad was broke but the bandits wouldnt care they would probally kill him then loot his body.Vlad knew he could beat these guys with his fists alone but he thought scaring them would be better and less work.

"No."-Vlad said in a deadly stern voice.

One bandit ran and pushed Vlad on the ground. They all began to laugh.Vlad put a wide smile on his face.

"That was uncalled for friend."-Vlad said with his usual grin.

"Oh im sorry."-Bul said patting Vlad's shoulder.

Bul gave Vlad a sucker punch to his ribs.Vlad stumbled a bit but didnt fall, all the bandits began hitting Vlad with their fists.

One bandit pushed Vlad down this small hill into a group of large bushes.the bandits thought it was hilarious and continued their annoying laughter.Bul walked down the hill but stopped by the bushes when he heard growling.A large 7'5" black wolf emerged from the bushes teeth showing.

"He's a werewolf!"-One bandit said in the back of the group.

Bul was frozen with fear Vlad walked up slowly to the bandit and lifted him off the ground. With a load roar the bushes and bandits began to shake in fear.Vlad dropped the bandit and he took off running with his useless gang.During his transformation the large wolf had Vlad's usual sometimes evil grin.Vlad began to transform back into his human form.It was a painless to some but to others it was like a hundred child births at once.

Vlad wiped the dirt of his clothing and headed for the town of Kaldaka for what? Not even Vlad knew he just needed to get somewere and that was the nearest it was about a day or two walk but Vlad had nothing but time.He squinched his nose to a horrible smell.

"I think i scared Bul a bit too much"-Vlad said in his head.

(Outposts of Kaldaka)

Her head slumped down from her hands onto the table, her eyes closed as she went into a light slumber only to be awakened by someone sitting across the table from her. The first instinct she had was to draw her blade until she remember she was in a tavern, the second instinct was to stand up and leave the table but she knew this would be rude. So she settled with number three, wake up and talk to this person sitting across the table from her. Stretching her arms up she yawned, opening her eyes to peer at a werewolf in his human form.

"What de' ye' want?" Her tone was exhausted from traveling the entire day, from out post to outpost to find the one the 'Weres'(As she called them) where staying. Her eyes where fully opened now as she sat up straight only to slump back in her seat to study this male Were. A sly grin spread across her face to show the ivory white fangs clearly against her black lower lip; she knew what this one want, she knew what anyone who wanted to talk to her wanted one of two things.

Those two things included; They either wanted her to kill someone, or they wanted her in bed. Most wanted the latter but never got it, seeing as they usually ended up dead after five seconds of talking to her. But now, inside a tavern killing a moron was out of the question so she would result to slipping outside if this happened to be the case.

"Ah, fine weather is it not?" The male started talking to only be met by Riel's glare.

"I asked what che' wanted, not what che thought of de' weather." Her arms were crossed under her chest now, shaking her head slowly.

"You are an assassin, right?"

"I might be, depends on who is askin' and what is needin' ta be done." She became less tense now, knowing that she wouldn't be going out in the cold as soon as she thought she was.

"My family's in a large debt to this group of bandits that hide in these lands, the guards have tried to find them but to no avail." The mans eyes darted out the window to a small boy playing in the snow.

"So ye' want me ta hunt them down, and kill 'em?" Her gaze followed the mans to the boy. "Ye' son?"

The man nodded slowly, a quiet sigh escaping him, "They say they'll take him away if I don't pay the price they request... And I think it'd be much cheaper to find someone just to take care of them so they don't bother anyone else around here..."

"If it be fer a family, then I'll do it fer free. I'll be back by dawn with news of what happened... Take care of that boy out der." Riel rose to her feet with a small bow to the man, eating could come later for the assassin if a child was in danger. What she didn't see was the man smirk as she left before nodding to a group of cloaked men sitting across the tavern who quickly moved after her.

She was about 50 yards away from the outpost when she heard them, people following her. She turned around to see a group of 6 people walking towards her. "You come with us, or you die." It was the male from the tavern, damn it! He was after the latter but was the first to bring friends along... At least they weren't in the outpost anymore. Her eyes scanned the snowy ground around her with the thought it'd be a sad state of affair's to turn this ground red.

A pale hand rose to the bow slung across her back, drawing it and a few arrows she grinned for a moment. ~1, 2... 3...~ Three arrows were slung across the bow string, pulling the string back to her chin she chuckled quietly, "Or die? Or -I- Die? Well well... I have an interesting proposition... How about -you- do the dying." She stopped faking that accent she had earlier, releasing her fingers from the bow string the arrows flew through the air, hitting three of the men standing by the one talking fell to the ground with arrow's between their eyes.

The other two with him realized what they were getting into and had the right idea to turn and run, but as they did an arrow struck both of them in the back. "Ye' won't be livin' long boy." She slung the bow across her back and opened a pouch at her side to draw out three needles; gently she held them between her fingers. Darting forward as the man draw a sword, she brought the hand up from her lower left to her upper right while releasing the needles to strike him in the chest.

Her hand went to the blade at her side while the man was distracted, taking it in both hands one on the handle and one of the base she brought it back a little only to shove it forward into his chest. "And, done." The blade slowly was drawn out, leaving the man to fall to the ground to turn the precious white snow into the sparkling red color of crimson blood.

Karl is in Ulnaus

Karl stood in the middle of his shop, taking off a large set of armor. The kid was right, the leather worked like a charm. He smiled as he layed out the completed project on a table and walked over to the window. His shop was in an out of the way spot, the older and more intracate metal workers all had the bigger and better shops closer to the main square. Needless to say it was a slow day. He did, however, enjoy the fact that the weather was nice and took a moment to stare at the sky.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a middle aged human with a frustrated look on his face holding a busted shield walking directly toward his shop. Karl quickly walked back to his bench and pulled on his smithing gloves, "Finally," he muttered, "a customer."
A blind man stood by the road and he cried, he cried:
"Oh, oh, oh, show me the way. The way to go home."

Aaronn is in Ulnaus City

Aaron stood in his dark cloak, watching the storm coming. He loved the rain, thunder, and lightning. It gave him a chance to think, when usally there is hustling bustling in the streets, he can be alone outside. Plus it was dark, and for him, that was always a plus.

Someone ran into Aaron. It was a little boy, runnning through the streets. Aaron stared down at him. "Sorry sir." Aaron smiled, mostly out of politeness.

"It's okay." He said. The boy turned to leave. Aaron turned to go. He noticed ssomething was missing, a bag of gold he just received for a job. Had he forgotten it? No. Then that left the boy. "Hey wait!" Aaron ran after the boy, who took of down an alley. Aaron knew this part of the city well, but you never know what these people will pull. His hood came of, reveling his face to the rays of sun. The boy turned another corner, and he followed. They exited the alley way into a street. "Gaurds, stop him!" Aaron yelled. The boy turned yet another corner, and by the time Aaron got there, he was already gone. "Damn it." He pulled up his hood, and began to walk back to the tavern.
Random thought of the week: In war, there are no heros, no villians. There are only soldiers, and a cause.

The older vampire stood nereby watching the werewolf take on the two people that attacked him. He was in his normal humanic form just simply walking down the dirt road before him. The sun shining brightly above his head as he walked past Vlad. Next time Don't be so sloppy with your work. He spoke carefully as he kept his right hand on one of his many blades handle knowing full and well he would probably be attacked.

His crimson eyes still fixed on the wolf, he moved quickly as the one named Bul would come back for a second attack with a crossbow, he reappeared behind the childs neck holding the blade completely covered in blood. Now you should be thanking me. Silver tipped arrows.

Cadelaria is in Ulnaus

For the most part it was silent, as early morning was their least busiest hour here at the tavern in Town Square. The human girl had her head resting in her arms on the bar counter, seated on one of the many empty stools. Her mid bad long brown hair fell around her like a blanket, covering her arms and her face to give her darkness to rest in. She was wearing her usual attire of a floor length velvet dress with sheer material as the sleeves. An apron was tied around that to protect her dress from food or ale.

There was only two customers here and both were getting up to leave, resting money onto their tables. Ding! Ding! Slowly her head rolled to the side to peak through her blanket of brown hair with her ocean blue eyes, watching the customers push open the door and exit. Giving out a bored sigh, the girl slid off the stool and wandered up to the tables to grab the few copper pieces they gave out. Lovely, another cheap day.

She shoved the copper into one of the pockets in her apron before picking up their dirty plates and empty mugs. At this pace, Cade would be done cleaning the two tables by noon. The girl felt like being lazy, it was way too early to work in a tavern. The girl returned from the kitchen with a wet cloth to wash off the two tables when the owner of the tavern came staggering out of his office.

"Cade!" The old man pointed a wobbling finger at the girl. Obviously he was drunk already. "Get ready for the Lunch rush, it's noon." He slurred his words together but got it out.

Luckily for Cade, she's been working here long enough to understand anything that man was saying. Noon? Where has the time go? Sighing, she worked at a faster pace to clean off the two tables before walking briskly up behind the bar counter top. She retied her apron on properly and awaited the start of the lunch rush. This was the hardest part of the day.

Ninette is still in Kaldaka

The girl had been roaming the main road of the outpost, trying to think of something to do after talking her way out of paying the blacksmith. She was about to go talk to Lord Bane in his home when she noticed an interesting woman rush out of the tavern then noticed several men following at a slower pace after her. Slowly an eyebrow rose as she tilted her head down to her pet wolf, Torth. "Wonder what's happening here?"

The wolf lifted his lips up to show teeth, fur bristling on the back of his neck. That was sign enough that the wolf didn't like the atmosphere around him. Nodding, Ninette rode cautiously after the group and parked herself around a few trees near the scene. Dismounting off her horse, Ninette crouched down and scooted closer to a tree to peak out. Her eyes widen at the precision the woman had when shooting her bow. Three at once.

Figuring the woman would let the other men run, Ninette looked away to stare at Torth. The yelps however caused her to turn to see two of the others staining the white snow with their blood. Wow! Eagerly, she moved to the other side of the tree to peak out at the last one standing posed with a sword. This didn't phase the woman at all, instead she pulled out her weapon. Wait..are those needles? Her ice blue eyes narrowed, squinting to see if what she saw was real. They were but the woman had finished off the wolf with a sword.

Finally her voice appeared, breathing the word out. "Wow..." Normally she'd scold someone for killing a bunch of werewolves but it seemed these men were part of some sort of group of bandits. Thinking the woman would have heard her voice, she quickly ducked behind the tree again to try to hide. Doesn't help that Troth was sitting beside the tree beside her white horse.

Riel's gaze was cast at the tree Ninnete was hiding behind she smiled; her eyes landing on the wolf. Quickly she turned and started running for it, sheathing the sword at her side; eyes sparkling in the slowly rising sun. "Doggy!" She stopped and slid to her knees in front of the wolf, looking at it with quite a large grin.

A hand went to the dogs head, gently patting it, "Why is there a wolf out here this early? I thought they'd all be sleeping by now... Poor thing is probably hungry..." That's when her eyes locked on the girl hiding behind the tree, a smirk crossed the womans face as she rose to her feet. "Well, it's not nice to hide away behind a tree when someone's talking, now is it?"

She reached to the second pouch at her side, opening it slowly she pulled a silver vial from it. "Don't make me make you come out of there, I'll do it..." She brought the vial to her lips with a smirk, she pulled the cork out with her teeth and spit it aside; not much used to acting like a 'woman'. "Sorry if I scared you, can't blame me if I have to get violent because some Were thinks he can get me into his bed, I don't go for that." She drank the contents of the vial, which smelled lightly of fruit but heavily of alcohol.

Torth normally would bare his teeth at people but a silent cute from Ninette was enough to keep him calm. He stood as still as a statue, almost uncomfortably as this strange ran up and slid to her knees in front of him. Only his eyes squinted when Riel patted his head, never once looking at his master in hopes Riel would not see her.

It failed. Ninette's cheeks flushed slightly as the woman turned to look at her. "I-I suppose not." The short, 5'3 girl slowly pulled herself up using the tree as support. "Sor...ry." Her voice trailed of mid word as her eyes locked onto her hand which slowly moved to another pouch. In reaction, her hand moved towards her dagger at her waist. She kept it there, awaiting the worse as she pulled out some sort of silver vial.

When Riel began to drink out of it, Ninette's muscles relaxed and she dropped her hand from the dagger. When Ninette relaxed, so did her pet wolf Torth. The gray wolves muscles released tension and he laid down beside his owner. However, his golden eyes were still locked coldly on Riel. "No, I don't blame you at all. I knew there was some bad seeds in this pack of werewolves.." Her nose wrinkled at the heavy smell of alcohol.

"My name is Ninette." Her head bowed slightly with the mention of her name then motioned a hand down towards the grey wolf. "And this is Torth. No he's not hungry, he ate a whole doe by himself. The little hog."

She studied the girl for a moment, tossing the vial behind her into the snow. "Why are you out here, and why were you following me." As her eyes fell on the dagger her own hand went to her blade; getting into a semi-fighting stance. "Ye' aren't with the Were's are ye'?" She seemed pretty relaxed even though the hand on the blade was white from holding it.

She shook her head with a quiet laugh, falling back in the snow to stare at the sky with a red tint on her cheeks; either she was a light weight or there was a high content of drink in that vial. "Ah, I'm kiddin' ye' kid!" She was rolling slightly in the snow, covering the dark leather armor in the pale white ice. "If I were te' kill ya, you'd already be dead!" Her accent slowly came back to her tongue as she was rolling on the ground without a care.

She suddenly sat up, hands crossed in her lap, "Name's Riel." She nodded slowly before falling back to the ground to roll in the snow.

Karl had just finished when the man returned for his shield. He seemed pleased with the work and left a small bag of coins on the table before leaving. Karl picked up the bag and counted out the coins before calling out to the man, "Excuse me sir, you gave me a few too many here." The man replied over his shoulder, "It's a tip, I'm feeling generous today."

Karl didn't argue. Watching the man walk down the street, he started putting his armor on. He was very proud of how it turned out, and he placed a helmet on his head with a smile. As he poured the coins into a larger bag tied to his waist he sang to himself, "Here's to the first customer of the day!" After finishing dressing, he walked over to the door and flipped the 'closed' sign around. "And the last." He walked out into the street, he hoped to make it to the tavern before the lunch hour hit.

He didn't.

When he got there it was mobbed with all sorts of people, and there was only one girl to wait on them all. He considered giving her a break and leaving, but then he saw the ale a group of men was enjoying and thought better of it. He walked over to a small, empty table in the corner and sat down.

The Town Square tavern was a mad house of various races. All except for the vampires and the few werewolves that chose to wake at night. The loud chatter and laughter of human men, the quiet more subtle whispers of female witches arguing about which was the right way to conjure up some sort of spell and the more intimidating silent werewolves locking eyes with anyone who even dares to talk with them.

There Cade stood, her hair tossed up into a messy bun at the base of her neck with several strands falling in her face. Her face was a mixture of stress and fear as she poured ale in three mugs. She gathered two of them in one hand and another in her free hand before making her way towards a table. She had caught Karl wandering to an empty table out of the corner of her eye while working and gave him a nod. Her voice was too soft to try to vocally tell him she saw him and would be with him in a second.

The men chattering had stopped once their ale was brought to them, passing flirts towards her and playful winks. Cade's face twisted up in disgust as she hurridly turned and wandered up towards Karl's table. Before she could get passed the men's table, she caught a playful smack to her rear. Her face flushed, but not in embarrassment but in anger. Kind to the customers...Kind to the customers. Over and over the girl said in her head as she finally stood before Karl.

A forced smile crossed her lips to the werewolf as she spoke in an exhausted tone. "Welcome to Town Square Tavern. What could I get for you?"
