Halo: Sunrise IC (Restarted) ( )

Postby Nevan on Tue Feb 17, 2009 7:28 am

For several reasons I have decided to restart this roleplay. The main reason was that things were moving too quickly and things happening which were too unrealistic (Yes, that was you Phate). This time i expect people not to take over whats happening and do things the leaders of the fleets (Controlled by me) have not ordered you to do. By that I mean I do not want UNSC troops to randomly appear on the surface even though i said there were to be no UNSC troops on the surface until the human Fleet commander gave the order. I also do not want entire covenant capital ships to crash into the planet, as that would cause an explosion big enough to destroy it completely. And finally I do not want random time skips, as without warning or explanation the fleets went from being 2 days away from each other to an hour away from each other.

Phate, as you were the source of most of these problems I expect you to do what I say or I will kick you out.

------------

The sun rose slowly from the other side of the jungle planet Sunrise. Illuminating the dark space above it, and the ground on the surface. On the other side of the planet, orbiting not 700 miles above the atmosphere, was the covenant fleet. It was a large fleet prepared just for the defence of Sunrise, made up of some of the greatest Covenant navy admirals and tactitions, not to mention some of the greatest generals to lead the planets ground defence. The fleet itself was made of around 30 covenant capital ships, each with its own small army and hundreds of smaller ships and fighters beneath them. The capital ship closest to the planet, flying not 30 miles above the planets atmosphere was the ship Apollo, and as the sun rose higher into the sky, Atu, who was staring at the sunrise from the bridge of Apollo, had to cover his eyes to avoid the sudden bright light.

Atu Tsan'ade placed his hand against a floating holographic panel, and as he did the brightness filters lowered, allowing the other elites in the room to continue there work without fear of being blinded. There were two doesen others in the room, most of them flying Apollo, doing maintenance checks or listening to the local battle net, waiting for orders. He sighed as he sat in his chair, warriors came in and out playing with the ships many buttons and controlls. Atu was the commander chosen for the ground defence of Sunrise, and was the one directly in charge of the planets surface troops and the smaller ships orbitting the planet.

He stretched his neck and waited, news had reached them the Human fleet was approaching fast, and although they were not yet in vision of the radars they would most likely be within threat range within the next 2 days. So alot of preparing had to be done in that time. He sat waiting for the battle net to brief him of the new situation, as the higher officers of the fleet had still not decided on a plan or formation of defence. Nor had there been much news from small scout ships as only 3 of them came back, 2 of which were damaged badly. He was itching to be given orders, as he was directly responsible for the planets defence, however he had to know the fleets plans for keeping the Humans at bay, and he had to prepare be-... Atu's thoughts were cut short as a holographic projection of the fleets tactitions sat at a table appeared infront of him. "Commander." One of them said abrubtly, "We have posotive identification of a large human fleet approaching, they will be here within the next 48 hours."

Another one quickly spoke "They outnumber us Commander, and the battle looks dim for our forces, i doubt we will only be able to hold them above orbit for a few standard hours before the-"

Atu interrupted him "So they outnumber us? What has that got to do with anything, our warriors are naturally stronger and our ships both faster and have better technology; and i doubt they would have bought the demon with them."

The tactition spoke again "They have brought MAC guns commander, and as i was sayinng, we will only hold them for a few standard hours before they send troops to the surface"

Atu clenched his fists and closed his eyes for a short while; he had heard of the MAC guns, capable of cutting through a covenant capital ship. However he then spoke "Then offline all unneccisary power usage and make the shields stronger, and then send boarders to take the MAC guns offline". He spoke with a slight annoyance that they hadn't thought of it sooner, and he had heard them to be some of the greatest tactitions in the war.

"The boarder tactic has failed us once, we do not plan to use it again"

Atu spoke again: "But it failed because of the demon, and as i said he will not be here if our sources are correct"

The tactitions thought for a moment and discussed silently, and then one the fleet commander himself spoke "We will concider it, but you have orders. Stay close to the planet and defend it to the best of your ability. In the possibility they break through our fleet; get to the surface and defend the mineral jungles as best you can"

At that the holographic projection ended and Atu sat in silence, thinking.

-

James Mitchell stood on the deck of his flag ship "Orbit", watching the endless stars and systems pass them as they got closer to they're destination. Only a day or so to go before battle would start, and he was both nervous and excited at the chance of proving himself in what was to be his greatest battle yet.

He had already consulted his tactitions, and by his order a plan would be executed, the main fleet would have the MAC guns they brought and engage the covenant fleet, while 3 battle ships and 100 transporters would get to the planet hopefully without engagement. On that they would send ODST units to the surface so they could secure a landing zone, set up a base and clear the way for the rest of the army to be dropped on the planet.

James yawned loudly and scratched his forhead, he was starting to get tired and was wanting to retire for a few hours before the battle in a day's time. However he didn't dare to incase he missed something. The battle ships had already destroyed several covenant scout ships, however a few made it back as he heard. And he was worried at the risk of an early attack on there formation as they flew. If that happened he would have to give the order ASAP to halt the advance and aim the MAC guns at the enemy. And if someone had to wake him up they could all be destroyed before he even got to the bridge. No he could not risk sleeping now, he would have to endure. Sctratching his head he turned and left the bridge, following the endless corridoors until he got to his private quaters, and at the touch of a button the door opened. Revealing a bed, wardrobe, a Battle rifle leaning against the wall with a case of ammo, and a table, chair and cooked meal, still piping hot.

He stepped through and sat down to eat his meal as the door closed behind him. And started eating, checking every few seconds thinking he heard someone calling him on the battle net.

((Psh, there is no way I'd go copy n paste my other intro for this one. You're crazy man))

Luke took in a deep breath. The air smelled of lubricant, hot metal, and slightly of smoke from the guns. He was dressed in his 'space suit' as he and the other ODST's called it. The suit was simply a shirt, pants, and boots that they had to wear when onboard a vessel that wasn't in a state of combat. He stood in a small booth with walls on either side. His favorite room.

Luke set the bipedal legs of the sniper rifle down on the shelf and looked through the scope. He slowly exhaled his breath, then slowly inhaled again. Then a voice from above him called through the intercom from the shooting range control room. "Are you ready down there, Lieutenant? Scenario starting in three, two, one, now."

A piece of metal with a grunt painted on it shot up from the floor. Less than a second later a bullet hole ruined the paint job of the head. The same was followed by two more grunts, a jackal, two elites, and a brute. Although Luke's combat experience with brutes was very very limites, only having seen a few during a raid on a convenant base almost a year ago, he put a bullet through its head all the same.

"Outstanding performance, son. I have to say you are one of the best sharpshooters on this hunk of junk." Luke almost grinned to himself. "That's putting it lightly," said a female voice.

From the holo emmiter on the shelf came the image of a blue-purple woman. Her body was made of a number matrix that created a dead on replica of a female body. This was the ships AI, Aiyla. "You've done enough for today, soldier. I suggest you get down to the Mess and get yourself something to eat.

Luke didn't hesitate to leave the shooting range. He made his way down the metal corridors of the ship, easily finding his way into the Mess Hall. The food, although not so tasty, did provide a good source of the nutrients his body would need. Luke sat down at an empty table with almost triple the normal sized dinner on his tray. He had trained his body so that he could make a little lost for days, and it had already been about a week since he had eaten. Luke was starving.

The line for the Mess hall was finally drawing close to the food, and the smell, while unappetizing to someone who isn't in the Corps, was making Charles' mouth water. The meats... the beans... the cornbread... wait, no, he hated the damn cornbread, nastiest shit this side of Reach. He took a tray, and after loading it up and grabbing a utensil, he proceeded to take his tray over to one of the bleak-grey tables, and dig in.

Every meal a banquet!

He remembered his old Drill Sergeant, and all the rest of his phrases.

"Well, he never had to eat this Cornbread..."

Charles muttered under his breath. Tomorrow they'd be going planet-side, or at least the Space-Squids'll get some action. Charles then looked about the bustling cafeteria for anyone he knew, unfortunately, none of them, nothing beyond a nodding acquaintance. He then returned to his food, and then he looked at his ring, and remembered,

I'll need to get my charm before I go planet-side...

Nak'thatar stood there waiting for his superiour to give out the orders "Oi you grunt" he roared at a nearby grunt "Find Jak'thatar or ill kick your sorry little ass onto the UNSC ship" the grunt scurried off shouting 'Jak'thatar'.

Jak'thatar stood there waiting to see a grunt slacking so he could bash it on the head then he heard his name being shouted "Jak'thatar" said the grunt that had been sent to find him "Nak'thatar wants to see you sir!" the grunt said cowering behind a jackal "well then where is he then" jak'thatar replied calmly "Near the turrets sir."

Hteik stood there supervising his squad in the Target Range. There was going to be a battle soon and he wanted them as ready as humanly possible. He made them toss fake plasma grenades till they could'nt fill they're hands. Then he'd make them take laps around the ship.He would run with them for two reasons. One, to make sure they could keep up with him and Two,To make sure they would'nt use one of the many teleporters in the ship.

Now that they finished running around the ship for about an hour and tossing about 100 fake grenades it was time to test there aim.He lined them up and stood infornt of them as they rested. He walked from one end of there line to the other carefully inspecting them.He then pointed at the plasma pistols. The grunts walked over and picked them up.They nervously walked over to the target range.Hteik pressed a button and a series of fast moving, halographic targets appeared. They moved quickly as the grunts started to send waves of green plasma shoots at them.

Hteik frowned at the number of targets they had actaully shot.10/100."Might as well send you runts to the UNSC!Judging by your aim they would'nt be able to tellthe differnce!!".Hteik said aloud he then told them to try again. This time he also got the 3 jackals in his squad to shoot as well. They're "kills" improved by 19.Then he made the grunts keep trying on they're own.He sent the jackals to a different targetting range. He put the brute,Kalem, in charge of them.Hteik went behind a sheild. That's how bad they're aim was. Then he made them try again. As they missed alot of targets Hteik sighed in frustation.Today was going to be a long day.

(OOC:) I will do the same as Luke, my last intro was in the heat of the battle about to start.

It was only moments ago, Grayeson was winning this knife duel with his opponent. In the ring, his opponent and him circled like sharks closing in on their prey. Both men were sweating heavily, the grips on both of their ODST knives were slippery from it too. Grayeson shifted his eyes back and forth between the man's feeting and eyes, checking for any weaknesses or signs of attack. With his opponent smiling villainously, trying to taunt him into an attack, Grayeson stayed on the defensive. This man could take him easily if Grayeson went for it, as he found out earlier. Just as Grayeson looked to the man's feeting, they shifted indicating a attack. Looking up, he caught a glimpse of the man as he swung horizontally towards Grayeson's throat. With a quick maneuver, Grayeson slid his unequipped arm through the space between his opponent's arm and body. In doing so, he wrapped his arm with the man's and pressed down on his shoulder with his hand. Twisting, he locked the opponent's arm tightly with no effort at all. As he groaned with pain, Grayeson spun on the ball of his feet, this would hurl the man to the ground hard. Slamming into the ground with a loud thud, Grayeson quickly did a sweeping kick and disarmed his opponent. As he rolled over to grab his knife, Grayeson did three swift kicks to the man's ribcage, which made him unable to breathe. Gasping for breath, Grayeson quickly fell on top of the man, slicing towards his throat. Missing on purpose, because it was practice, the alarm went off. Indicating the end of the match, Grayeson helped his opponent to his feet.

*cough* "Good..." *cough, cough* "...match." said the man.

"And to you, you have excellent speed and coordination. But, work on your footworking, that was your downfall."

"I...will." *cough* "Thanks." replied the man.

"Go see Doc, he is bound to be running around here somewhere."

As the man nodded and shook Grayeson's hand, he grabbed his gear and knife and started towards the ODST Ready-Room to pack them away. Grayeson sighed, taking a seat on the bench nearest the blast doors. Dropping a bloodstained towel over his bald head, he wiped the sweat and blood from his face. The man knew how to fight, which was good for their campaign to Sunrise. Grayeson stood from his seat, dropping the towel back on the bench. He slowly made his way towards a mirror, taking a look on his physical appearance. His body was badly bruised, scars everywhere, and was bloodied. But underneath it all, it was in great shape. His muscles were cut, looking as if they were chiseled from marble. Shaking his head, he was disappointed with his appearance. A Marine should appear stronger, not so weak, that was his motto in training. Turning his back to the mirror, he fell to the ground in a pushup stance. Today, he decided to do two hundred of them, but as the side pushups. Starting his repetitons, he started chanting Marine Corps sayings or cadences. He never liked music while he worked out, it made him lose focus. And training was important, if you slacked off once, you were a Grunt's next meal.

"I...Love...the...Marine...Corps..." he started chanting to himself quietly.

(as-if it was a problem. you didn't show up for like two days and what else was there to do? you need to use your imagination it doesn't have to be perfect. but w/e)

Damien stepped through the pressure door and into the UNSC armory on the flagship Orbit. He had just woken from a week-long sleep and was only just starting to feel better after a long, warm shower. He nodded to one of the passing marines who had been woken up with him who returned a crisp salute in respect to his rank of Corporal. He fetched his clothin, an MA5B, an M5 Magnum, his trusty Kabar knife, two fragmentation grenades and two stims: a reflex stim and a rapid paralasis stim, which he placed in two small pouches on his right leg. He also grabbed six clips, four for the assault rifle and two for the magnum. With his first task done, and the numbness of his body reducing, he headed off to the diner.

Jik'ara smacked a grunt in the back, sending it sprawling forward along the cold purple surface of Lightguard's main hangar, where two Phantoms and a Troop Carrier Mk.1 were docking through the first of the four energy screens. 'Move this equipment faster you pathetic maggots! The Commander wants these munitions and weapons stowed and battery packs dispersed around the ship! The Grunts nearby squealed and shreeked their pleas for another chance to work faster and Jik'ara lowered his plasma pistol. 'You!' he yelled at a pair of startled Jackals. 'Go to the bridge, find Has'lena, I must speak with her. The Jackals shreaked their obedience and sprinted off, one of them crashing their shoulder into the right-hand side of the auto-door to the inner ship in their blind rush to please their new instructor. 'I could get used to this...' Jik'ara thought to himself, as his personal communicator flashed to life and let out a flow of shrill beeps. Jik'ara pressed the 'Initiate Call' holobutton and the one-foot-high hologram representation of Lightguard's AI, Ysega, appeared on the holopad. Ysega's hologram figure, his avatar and cyber figure, was currently in the form of a Prophet, a purple sillhouette with minor details such as eyes, mouth, ears and clothing, with bright microscopic lines of code running a hudnred rivers across his skin. 'Major, you have been performing extremely well, but sadly, your time with us is done for now. You and your squad are to be transferred to Apollo on the next Phantom out.'
'But-' Jak'ara began.
'There are no exceptions, Jak'ara, this came from Atu and Sfera themselves.' The AI explained.
Jak'ara sighed. 'Fine, I'll see you later Ysega, look after her. She's a proud ship.'
'I will, Jak'ara. Now get moving, there's a Phantom ready to leave in docking bay four.'

Doc walked around the ship, restless, exhausted, restless... Very restless. Space travel did that to him, he always feels like a hamster in a cage. He could move around with free will but he couldent really. Just non-restricted areas and mess, Zero-G Theropy, shit like that. He still hated it. One wrong move and everyone aboard would be toast, or the jam for the toast to be more accurate.

But I digress.

Doc walked around the ship, restless and feeling a lot like like a hamster in a cage, he waved to some of he friends and suddenly had a heavy heart. Most of these men wont make it back, the men he had made friends with, the ones that thought that he and others like Luke or Grayeson would be their Master Cheifs... He knew that they couldent be that for them, but he would sure damn try...

After about 15 more minutes of walking up and down the hallway next to the Workout area a marine limped out, walking, no, waddleing to Doc he spoke.

"D-Doc?"
"Umm, yeah?" He said, as if he had no idea the man was battered to shit.

"Need some space sickness pills or something?" Doc said.

"H-ha ha... Very-" The man shook his head, much like a shaggy dog, sending sweat everwhere, Doc blinked.

"F-funny."

"Yeah yeah, I know you got your ass handed to you.... err..." He looked at the marines tags.

".....Pvt. Frost, where does it hurt?" Doc said, much like you would expect a school nurse to say.

"I got a cut along my shoulder blade and on my left hand, one farther down my right arm... and my thigh. My ankle hurts like a bitch too."

"Ah ah ah, language, dont make me send you to the Princible?" Doc laughed, then grabed the man's arm and brought him to sick bay.

Swipeing his level 1 Access to med supplies he grabed some guass, disinfectant, some bandages and a couple diffrent vials, it looked more like he was going to run tests on the man or make him into a Spartan then seal some of his wounds, the man laughed at all the other things, but he went wide eyed when he brought the needles out.

"What? Afraid of needles?"

"K-kinda.."

"WHAT?!!!! You were just knife fighting! Suck it the hell up you pussyfooter!" Doc shouted at Frost, then, grabing onto his arms spreading disinfectant on his cuts via the guass, they bubbled and one started to sizzle, sealing the cut, but it hurt like a bitch. As far as Doc could tell anyways, all the people he used it on yelled atleast once, or punched him across the face...

"There, cuts are all done, but I still have to put these bandages on your shoulders and splint that leg for today. You see, this shit can seal a cut fast, but if I put it on your shoulder blades it might stop thrm from moveing for awhile.... so without further delay.."

He moved on the man again, wrapping up the leg and putting some other disinfectant on his shoulder blades and wrapping them up too.

"Alright, knife fight boy, I need to inject you ONCE to make sure you dont catch anything from the planet, almost everyone else got theirs already. Its not that bad so suck it up and I'll give you a lollypop after if you're a good boy."

He grabed the man's arm and the man fought back.

"Cant we... do it some other way?!"

"No. Now shut up and let me stab you in the arm."

"Please?!"

"NO."

"Cmon!"

"NO!"

Doc grabed his arm one last time, pinpointing the vein and stabing in and injecting.

"There you go. All set for warfare, kick some ass." Doc said as he patted his shoulder.

"Now get the fuck out of my office before I lynch you."

Doc laughed as he walked away, he also radioed Grayeson.

"Hey man, I caught some of your fight while I was walking. Damn man! Dont kick all their asses! The last one was afraid to take his shots! I think we should get you a nickname, like... i dunno, the friggin holocaust?" He laughed.

(Phate he cant use the computer as much as we can he has to share it with his whole family and he writes long,Though I agree that his post dont have to be that long.As long as it's 2-3 paragrapghs for each faction and it tells us what to do next it is fine.Either way that does'nt give you the right to jump ahead.)

Hteik gave a weak smile as the grunts started to show some progress in there aim.29/100,30/100,46/100,and the last kill count was 50/100.With some more practice they could really do some damage if they dont get killed by a grenade. He got a message from the ship chat net. They wanted any unnessicary energy put on the sheilds. He turned on his squad net and yelled,"Move any unnessicary energy to the Sheilds! The humans got MACs and if the Sheilds arent strong enough to stand against them the ship's going down and if that happens ,may the gods help me, I'll send all of you out the trash vent.Got It!?".The grunts gave squeels and ran out of the room.Hteik told Kalem to continue supervising them and to send him the kill counts for the jackals got in there target training.A halographic board appeared on a nearby terminal with the kill counts.70/100,90/100,80/100.Hteik had expected such good results since jackals are known for they're good aim which is why most of are armed with beam rifles and carbines.

Hteik then walked to the Elite training room.Elites were the prophets gaurdains and the Covenants Sword so they had they're own specail training room. The only thing different is that instead of standing in a boothe and shot some halographic images of humans, you would go against other Elites. They would fight with they're swords and hand to hand,They also shot each other with live plasma rounds but if your sheilds is down and your in the open it counts as you losing.

After going down a few halls and through a teleporter,he appear in the room. Some Elites were already there. There was a 2 on 2 sword fight and a sniper battle going on.It was a good thing that the room was extremely huge.About 1,000 hunters could fit in there and it was'nt natural to see them there since they also required specail training.Hteik once even saw Atu there. He was simply spectating a sword fight that Hteik was in and being watched over by such a high officail made him fight harder. He did'nt want Atu to think he was weak even though he'd probably never meet him by simply walking around in the halls.Hteik won that battle. It did'nt surprise him though since he used to be the Prophet of Truth's personal gaurd.Picked directly by him too.Hteik walked in and waited for someone to challenge him.As he waited he grabbed a beam rifle and praticed on some of the ramdom halographic projections.

Myonde entered the Elite training room.He immedaitely begun to supervise his squad as they trained. He heard the order to move the energy to the sheilds but he did'nt want to waste his sqauds time with that. They were a specail operations team, they needed to be in top shape for the battle to come.He noticed that they were'nt as good with the sword as they should be."No No No.If you fight like they'll kill you before you get close...Hmmm.".He scanned the room for someone he could fight as an example. He liked using others to teach his peers when he could especailly when it involved fighting.

He spotted an Ultra elite and smiled. He grabbed an energy sword and challenged the Elite to a fight and grinned. It turned out to be Hteik. He gave a look to his squad which would normally mean,"Watch and learn.".He knew that an elite could'nt resist a sword fight, well at least he could'nt.It was a shame he normally had a carbine and Plasma rifle and not an actaully sword on hand but that only made him train harder so when the time came he knew what he was doing. He grinned as he waited for Hteik's response.

Hanging off a bar with his legs wrapped around it, Grayeson was completing his so-called "SPARTAN" workout. Having already completed his two hundred pushups, he was just starting on his situps. With six feet of air between him and the metal flooring below, Grayeson was careful to lock his legs around the bar he hung from. Punching out his reps, he was just at one hundred and sixty-four when he heard his radio transmitter buzzing with static. Stopping for a moment, he tweaked it to were he could clearly hear the person trying to reach him. It was Doc, probably wanting to say something about his latest knife fight with the other ODST.

"Hey man, I caught some of your fight while I was walking. Damn man! Dont kick all their asses! The last one was afraid to take his shots! I think we should get you a nickname, like... I dunno, the friggin Holocaust?"

"He wanted the best on the ship and he got it. He needs to stop being a chicken shit and get focused on his training regiment. Otherwise, he might just become a Grunt's next meal. Besides, I already have a nickname Doc. Its Wolverine, remember?"

Disengaging his radio, he started on his reps again. For every second lost talking, he add more situps, which as harsh to others but it suited him fine. Finishing his set, he reached up to the bar and unlocked his legs gripped on it. Lowering his legs to the ground, he started on the last set of his "SPARTAN" workout, which consisted of one hundred and ten pullups. While everyone else broke ninety degrees on their pullups, he lowered himself all the way down. Breathing in and out, he started cranking away at his last exercise. All the while, he chanted the same Marine cadences in his head. As he was midway through his set, a few other Marines walked in and started their training. One of them saw him and noticed his insane workout routine, having had the unfortunate disiplinary action to workout with him.

"SPARTAN workout Gunny?"

"Always LC Sharpley."

"Alright then sir, I'll leave you to it then."

Leaving Grayeson to finish his workout, he nodded and waved to him. Grayeson knew the kid was a slacker, but when it came to fight, he was as brave as any SPARTANs. Finishing his workout finally, Grayeson lowered himself to the ground below and stretched. Feeling better from the stretch, he nodded to the others in the room and grabbed his gear. Leaving the training bay behind him, he made his way to the ODST Ready-Room to store his gear away and grab a shower. As the blast doors closed behind him, he made his way to his footlocker, kicking it open, he threw his training clothes in there for now. Taking out his Battle Suit, he set it in front of his footlocker so he could dress quickly. With the shower hot and misty, he scrubbed the sweat and smell away, leaving a nice, winterfresh smell to him. Dressing quickly, he closed up his footlocker and locked it tight, then left the Ready-Room. He wasn't sure where to go, so he headed to the Communications Facility to send a message home to his father.

Hteik shot a halogram and said."I'll fight you.I'll be sure to teach your friends a thing or two so you wont have to worry.".

Hteik grabbed the energy sword they had nearby and examed Myonde. He had red armor and his sword was out.He saw a mark on his armor which symbolized him as part of a specail operations sqaud. With that Hteik decided to stay on defence. He took a defence stance and waited for Myonde to get into his stance. It was'nt a fight till they were both ready.

There was a lot of chatter from Kalem on the Squad chat.Mostly it was orders and insults being directed at the grunts.Hteik heard a boom and quickly asked,"Kalem what in the holy rings was that?!".It took kalem a bit to respond which worried Hteik. Then the brute finally responded he was laughing."One of the grunts was slacking off...I was gonna throw him across the room when a...Ha Ha HA!...A plasma core comes along and drops on him.He ran off and it rolled after him then it blew up!Unfortunately the slacker is still alive and still Slacking off!Work faster you maggots!!".Hteik sighed and resumed to his beginning battle.

Oris walked into the training room flanked by his spec op squad. Picking up the chatter over the com, he nearly laughed at the crazy brute. " Well well well, what do we have here? A sword fight?" and advanced with his own energy sword. " Mind in I join? I might be able to show a thing ro two like you guys to my ermmm, lackeys."

Kusvoi stared at the commander calling him a lackey. he turned to the rest and said, " Let's go train. " they stalked off blowing up holograms in the way.

(forgive the short post have to get off soon)

Jak'ara stepped strode through the corridors of Apollo, his new cruiser of station, nodding to the passing Combat Elites, who respectfully greeted him in return. He entered an elevator and hit the button marked bridge. The one-minute ride ended and he stepped out and found himself on the lowest level of the Covenant three-tier bridges, to the right of the main door at the bottom. He strode, shoulders back and chest out towards the top platform where communications and analasys were handled. He saw an Elite sitting in the Captain's chair, wearing gleaming-white Armour. Clearly the Elite he wanted to see. He stopped a couple of meters behind the chair and tributed a deep bow. 'Commander, I have just been transferred to Appolo by your command. I have reported to you as ordered, my team is ready to serve under your command.' He maintained his bow, waiting for the superior Elite to give him permission to straighten himself.

Damien walked into his quarters, weary from a day of training, intent on a long, not to mention natural sleep. He approached his bed, the bottom of a pair of two-bunk beds on the right of the room, when something heavy leapt onto his shoulders and pushed him forward. He shoved the figure back and leapt forward to put space between them, and spun to face his would-be attacker. Damien looked at Harry, and Harry looked at Damien, both with serious glares on their faces.

...

Until neither could hold the strained position any more and they both broke out into uncontrollable laughter. 'Fuck a duck! Harry! What are you doing here? I thought you went back to Earth after Reach!' Damien yelled, not at the least concerned with the marines resting in the other rooms along the halls in their own quarters. 'Haha! I especially requested to be put in the Sunrise system after Reach and I was on the cruiser sent to join the fleet!' Harry, at twenty-six, was a sharp, skilled young man. He sported a light beard, short brown hair, green eyes and a body which was as masculine as it could get without looking fat. In other words, the image of Damien, except Damien had black hair. 'Suddenly I'm not so tired, you hungry?' Damien asked. 'Always.' Harry replied with a smile on his face. 'Don't I know it...' Damien groaned in return, referring to when Harry had eaten both their meals and one plate of seconds while Damien had been at the men's room a day before Reach was struck by the Covenant. They both chuckled to eachother and put an arm around eachother's shoulder. 'C'mon, let's go.' Damien said, and they both walked out of their quarters, sharing old jokes as they went.'

((I have been having problems with my internet but it is fixed now so i will be posting ore frequently. Sorry guys. Oh and Phate, Atu has gold armor ^^. And also i am going to take your guy's advice and try not to make my posts so long))

Atu turned on his chair and faced the elite who stood infront of him with curiosity. "Transfered eh? Well i think i can use you and your team. However not yet, report to the quater-master and he will get you and your team living quaters. Continue your life as normal and in a few hours I will give you your orders". Upon that he turned his chair back to facing the holographic computer infront of him and studied it wearily.

Just under 20 hours until the fleets would be in sight of one another. Well they had nearly prepared anyway; the power supplies would momentarily be switched to the shield and all supply routes had been secured and checked. And made sure they would get supplies to the frontlines quicker. The rest of the fleet had finished their orbital defence formation and only Apollo remained near the planet. Well close enough to defend it anyway. All that remained was to give the special operations units their orders. But they would most likely be placed on tactical areas of the ship to defend against enemy boarders. If there was any, and if not they would be taken planet side and would help defend their.

James mitchell was standing on the firing range of his ship, and continued to release the bullets of his personal arms into the already-ruined paint job of the metal sheet targets cut out to look like covenant soldiers. They weren't even real but he could not help him self swearing at them under his breath, along with 'die'. He was getting a little final practise in. Although the chances were he wouldn't be entering combat he needed to be ready, and Aiyla said that there was a chance the covenant would come after him. If not with soldiers then assassins.

He finished emptying his clip and then turned to the weapon's master and handed him his Magnum and Battle Rifle, "Have someone take these to the bridge" he said before walking out and down a coridoor full of engineer's and soldiers doing final preparation's. He could tell it would be a good battle and he was sure that for once they could win. The capital ships were stronger and faster and equipped with better technology but they now had the MAC guns. And they were the weapon that would turn the fight to even.

(Zealots are higher than Commanders, Commanders command one ship each whereas Zealots command a number of Commanders. I suppose there could be a type of Commander Class 2 who commands a Flagship like Apollo)

Jak'ara straightened himself. 'Yes, Atu. I hope I am able to prove my worth to you in this, a major battle.' Jak'ara took a final short bow and spun, walking from the bridge.

Two hours later, his squad's grunts were assigned to their home quarters, the Jackal's theirs, and Jak'ara and his Elites were shown to theirs. Jak'ara settled himself and waited for orders while munching on a short meal of dry sustenance.
