Happily Ever After

Note: I'm sorry, but there are already quite a few people in this roleplay, and I don't want to overdo it by accepting any more. Sorry. You're free to use this idea, however. Just PM me to let me know.

Sometimes, all we wish for is an escape. Some way to get away. And yet, there are other moments in our lives that make us think that we're dreaming. Because those moments are better than our dreams...

As you can see, we'll be playing Disney Princesses! Except they'll be a group of close friends, all attending the same high school in the fall of their senior year. They've each got their own little romance story just waiting to happen... or not, if you choose otherwise.

Anyway, they've known each other forever and they all have their own things going on - but they still are best friends. They attend a large high school in upstate New York - a school large enough that they may not have met any of the guys before this year.

For the sake of a sequel that I'd like to do, all the characters will (eventually) be going to NYU (New York University). So just remember, when applying for your character's colleges, keep that in mind.

I do have a request - you must play TWO characters. One must be male. That's because I have a feeling that not that many guys are going to be into this thing. So, please play one of the girls and a guy from one of the other relationships. Details about each of the characters is below. (If there are more than eight people interested, then I'll allow people to 'give' characters to the newcomers.)

Important: if you can think of a Disney princess that you want to play that I forgot, feel free to suggest. (I'm not accepting "Sleeping Beauty", since she's kind of pathetic.) Also, if you have a better background story than the one I have below, PM me! Especially if you're the girl in that particular story.

The Rules

We all hate them... but obey them and I won't have to get nasty. I hate being mean... But anyway, they're mostly common sense. I think that you have that...

1 No Godmodding.
2 Romance, obviously, is encouraged. But take it to PMs if it's gonna get nasty, okay?
3 Please keep cursing to a minimum. No F-bombs.
4 I'm GM. I don't think that I'll need a co-GM, but I may change my mind.
5 Please, no Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues. Give your character some flaws. Even if Disney failed to do that...
6 Literacy. I'd like decent posts. Keep the typos to a minimum. I'll be checking up on your other posts.
7 Keep it active... once every week. At least. At the other end of the spectrum, don't let the ping-ponging get to an extreme. A good rule of thumb is to wait for at least two people to post before you post again.
8 Keep all OOC conversation to the OOC.
9 I may think of new rules.

Our Characters

The Beauty and the Beast

Belle is a natural-born reader. Extremely smart, she is a quiet girl who cares more about her family and favorite book characters than guys. Her father, widowed and poor, cares selflessly for his only child's happiness. Among her friends, she is the smart girl who helps them all with homework. She also is the shy girl; she's the most nervous when it comes to boys. She is pursued by the big flirt and football player Gaston, whom she refuses to date.

Adam is, frankly, ugly. The guys on the football team, teasing him, call him "the Beast", due to his hideous face. He is, however, an earnest guy who is kind and quiet. He isn't the smartest guy in the world, but he does take several more advanced courses, sometimes catching the lovely Belle's eye.

During October of their senior year, Belle and Adam's physics teacher assigns a group project, with assigned partners. Belle and Adam end up as a pair, forced to spend their free time until Christmas break working on building a bridge that can support over 200lbs out of paper and glue. But when when they start the project... will sparks fly?

Cinderella

Ellen, orphaned at a young age, was raised by her stepmother, Lucy Tremaine, who had two daughters, Anastasia (Stacy) and Drizella (Amy), who happened to be Ellen's age. She is kind and nice, but she never gets any of the good stuff. It's not as though her stepmom abuses her or anything, but her stepsisters are very irresponsible, and Ellen, who can't say no, takes on all of their chores while they go out and party. Her stepmom just doesn't do anything about it. With her friends, Ellen is the sweetheart, refusing to do anything that would hurt anyone else's feelings. She's dated a few guys, but nothing serious.

Peter, a football player who is friends with Gaston, is also a flirt. He's willing to do anything to get the girl, saying ridiculous things and claiming 'forever'. He's always someone's Prince Charming, but he never has time to actually commit to anything besides the basketball team.

Peter, in need of cash, gets a job as the cashier at the restaurant that Ellen always goes to eat alone when she's tired of her family. He always sees her, but never knows quite how to approach her, since she's always alone, which isn't something that he's used to in a girl. Will he dare approach her? And what will the 'nice' Ellen do to avoid the charms of the flirtacious Peter?

Snow White

Kayla, better known as Snow White to her closest friends (due to her almost reflective skin color), is possibly the most naive girl in the whole world. With a following of seven or so guys who are absolutely fawning over her constantly, she hasn't dated any of them and doesn't even think of them as options. Her parents don't really care what she does, so sometimes she sneaks out with Ariel and goes to parties. Guys often prank her, since she's so easy to fool. With the rest of the group, she's sort of stupid, being the one who spends the most time with Belle in order to pick her brain.

William, a very conservative guy, simply doesn't date. Extremely religious, he doesn't think that dating is exactly 'holy', so he has abstained. He is, however, quite the romantic. He plays the guitar and is serious about his music, devoting most of his time to composing tunes. This romantic side of his causes some girls who think they have a chance with him to refer to him as 'Prince Charming', but he simply doesn't think about it.

When William becomes involved in a band as the lead guitarist (possibly involving Ariel?), his band is immediately popular among the high school crowd and are booked at several 'Under Seventeen' clubs. Kayla, who is in his math class, had never really noticed him before. But when she goes to a party during one of his gigs, she sees him and instantly has a crush on him, especially since rumors say that he's waiting to give it up to someone he really cares about. So she tries to get him to like her, arranging for him to tutor her in algebra once per week. But will she be able to get through to such a stoic?

The Lion King

Nala is the adventurous one. She's the girl who really knows how to work it when it comes to the boys, having dated quite a few of them. She's the least attached to the group, sometimes preferring to spend time with her best friend, Simba.

Simba is the prince of the school. Filthy rich, he is practically rolling in cash. He's not exactly the brightest lightbulb around. Rather, he spends most of his time jogging, which is a pointless hobby since he's not on the track team or planning to join. He sometimes spends time with Nala's best friends and has had crushes on pretty much every one of them. Except Nala. But that's about to change...

Simba and Nala have been best friends since they were children, always playing games involving exploring and hide 'n go seak. But as time goes on, they begin to develop more complicated feelings for each other. The problem? Simba's about to be shipped off to a boarding school in Boston. How will their friendship stay while Simba is gone?

The Little Mermaid

Ariel, a funky, creative fun-lover, is only really good at two things: singing in the school choir and swimming on the swim team. Outside of the water, she is rather clumsy and naive about some things. When among friends, Ariel is the one who gets them to do things besides talk about guys. She's the one that has a bunch of "good ideas" that end up going wrong.

Eric is extremely awkward. He's even more clumsy than Ariel, but he doesn't recover easily. He has had a few near-death experiences. He's shy and quiet and doesn't know quite what to do with himself, especially when it comes to girls. Even though he has some money and a car, he has never actually kissed a girl... He met Ariel at the beginning of eleventh grade and has liked her ever since.

Ariel had started to date Eric in the spring of her eleventh grade year. She kept her relationship secret from her parents until the beginning of school, when she accidentally let it slip. Her parents, who were Olympic swimmers when they were younger, want her to devote her time to either one or the other: singing or swimming. And, of course, when she gets her very first boyfriend, they are indefinitely opposed, knowing that it will distract her from her two passions.

Mulan

Mulan is supposed to be graceful and delicate, like all young women (*cough cough*), but instead she has turned into a clumsy, serious girl. She's the one that never gives up on anything, even when it's long dead. Her parents, who love her dearly, are afraid that she's going to get hurt. She often seems withdrawn to her friends. Mulan is the one that they're never sure about, and yet she's also the most reliable.

Shang is possibly the most serious guy in the entire school. Defying stereotypes of Asians as bad atheletes, he's captain of the hockey team and the wrestling team. He can be extremely haughty at times, but that's only because he knows that he's better than most people. He doesn't tolerate failure from the atheletes in his squads.

Mulan, who always has wanted to be an athelete, decides to join the wrestling team, which accepts anyone who can pick up the flyer. So how will Shang react to the newest member to his exclusive team? Probably not as favorably as one would think that he would, since she's exactly his type of girl...

Aladdin

Jasmine is possibly the biggest drama queen in the entire school. All the guys lust after her, but she hasn't dated any one of them, since none of them were good enough for her. Her parents, who just want her to be happy, have spoiled her and she gets anything she wants. Among her friends, she is actually really nice to everyone. She's the one to turn to for relationship advice (although most of it is 'Dump his a** if he does it again') and she's always willing to help a friend in need.

Aladdin is a huge slacker and a troublemaker. Though he's good at certain forms of 'art', such as picking locks and faking answers on his homework, he's never really had it going on when it comes to the ladies. He's liked Jasmine for the entirety of their senior year, and he's made sure that she knows it. He can be annoying and he's not really good at much of anything that's useful.

Jasmine despised Aladdin, who was a bit annoying, until a rather scary situation involving some of the more dangerous characters of the city. When three men jump out of the bushes at Jasmine, who was walking home, Aladdin, who was passing by, manages to stop the men and make a run for it with Jasmine. Since the drama queen doesn't know quite how to repay her savior, she agrees to go on a date with him. What she doesn't expect is...

Pocahantus

Pocahontas is a very 'zen' girl. Her parents, who are very proud of her almost pure Native American blood, have high standards for her, determined that she should prove that she can be just as good as her white counterparts. She's very connected to nature. She believes in being 'green' to the extreme, hardly even using electric lights for her work (instead, she uses the sunlight and does her homework outside).

John is the ultimate consumerist. He's good friends with both Peter and Gaston, and while he's not as concerned with flirting as his friends, he is perfectly content to want... stuff. He likes new things. A member of the football team, he eats lots of fast food and other wasteful stuff. In general, he's just the opposite of Pocahantus.

When Pocahontas and John are assigned to the same history class, John begins to see himself in a whole new light because of Pocahontas's blatant verbal observations about him and his life during class discussions. So he tries to change himself. But then he asks himself... Why am I changing myself for her? And then he realizes...

Sleeping Beauty

Not much is known about the personality of Aurora. After all, she's been in a coma since the end of ninth grade. She briefly dated Philip, but then the two decided to just be friends. Everyone misses her greatly, but no one can remember too many details about her.

Philip, in the meantime, had gotten an internship as a doctor over the summer just before his senior year. A nice guy in general, he was greatly saddened by the fact that Aurora was in the hospital in a coma. He wants to become a doctor as an adult, but it was pure chance that he chose to take his internship at the same hospital that Aurora was being kept at.

In the July before senior year, Aurora began to show signs of waking up. During that month, she had brief periods of time in which she was fully conscious but unable to move. The only thing she remembered once she had woken up was Philip's face, as he had been assigned to the intensive care unit. Once she had woken up, she had missed two years of school and would have to take three years' worth of classes (easy ones) at the same time. So Philip, who happens to be an extremely smart guy, was assigned to help her complete her now massive workload.

Hercules

Megan is the sophistocated one of the group. Upper class, well-to-do parents... she's not exactly spoiled, but she has her standards.

Jason, a member of the football team and wrestling squad, is known school-wide for his superior strength as "Hercules". However, his sole reason for gaining such a title (and here's the twist) is to impress Ariel and Kayla, both of whom he thinks are adorable. He's friends with the group of guys (Peter, John, and Gaston) but he doesn't approve of their attitude toward girls in general.

For the first time ever, Jason doesn't make the varsity football team, having had a bad day on the day of tryouts. Embarrassed and hurt, he decides to prove himself in a different way: the dating world. After being turned down by Ariel, Belle, Kayla, and Ellen, all of whom don't really know him, he decides to try getting to know a girl better - Megan. But once he does, he finds it difficult to go back to his newly discovered dating habits...(Note to Jaybt9: I haven't seen "Hercules" in quite a while, so if you have a better idea, let me know. Please.)

--When it comes to a picture, I'd like realistic pictures. Just get close to how they looked in the Disney films. Adam (the Beast), Simba, and Nala are notable exceptions... Just take your best guess for those.

Personality: Belle Sianna Morrison is one of the prettiest girls in school; but she is also probably the most shy, and nerdy. Some people think she's crazy, just like her father, because she doesn't talk much, and when she does, it's often to herself. In her head, she had a world all her own, that no one knows about. She likes to go there; in other words, she day dreams a lot. Her nose is always stuck in a book, because the stories she reads are what fuel her. The girl likes fairy tales and adventures, both something she hasn't seem to be able to find in her every day life. She sees things a lot differently than most people do- almost literally. Belle is not one to stand back and admit defeat; she is stubborn as a bull, and stands up for her beliefs. There is always something going on in her head, and she always has an opinion.
Skills: Belle can read about three good sized books a day, and still have time to cook, clean, do school work, and hang out with her friends. She gets almost all As at school, but she isn't quite so good at Science. Also, she is rather graceful.
Hobbies: Reading and writing are her two favorite things to do; other than that, pretty much anything as long as it's with her friends.

History
Family: Belle's mother died too long ago for her to remember. Most of her life, she has been raised by her father. Being an only child, the girl has always thought it her responsibility to help run things. The man works hard, putting everything he has into trying to take care of the both of them. Despite his efforts, though, they are still one of the poorer of families in New York. She tries to help him, and keep him sane; it doesn't seem to be working, though, according to most people. He is an inventor- only thing is, he's never made much money off anything he has invented. Belle doesn't mind, though; she loves her father a lot, and tries to make sure he is well no matter what. So, while he is down in the basement working on all of his out there ideas, she does all the cooking and cleaning.
Bio: When Belle was younger, she lived in an apartment in one of the two apartment buildings in a small town in Alaska. She was home schooled for a while, but soon she grew tired of life in the two bedroom apartment, and began to venture out. Her father enrolled her in school when she was in fifth grade; less than a year later, they were evicted. Because they didn't have the money to find somewhere else to stay at that point, Belle and her father moved to New York, to live with Belle's grandmother. That's when she met the girls, and she was soon brought into their little group of friends; how, she can't really remember. In sixth grade, Belle's grandmother died, and left everything she had to Belle and her father- including her small, three bedroom, one bath, house. The two were grateful, of course; they had never lived in anything but an apartment before moving in with her grandmother, and it was good to get away from the grumpy upstairs and downstairs neighbors.
Beliefs: She's usually too busy day dreaming to really think about how she looks at the world, in a religious sort of way, at least.
Goals: Belle wants to be a novelist, and to illustrate her own books.

Ellen Tremaine, a girl who stands 5'8" off the ground on a set of long legs. Her body is slender, almost skinny even, and gives her walk the more timid and dainty effect. She has curves, the ballerina figure, though they add modesty and grace rather than those drool-marathon, busty, plastic superstars on TV. A pair of stony blue, almond-shaped eyes don her face is finished with pink, cupid bow lips. Framing her pale face is a mass of golden locks she calls 'hair', curled in many small and tight ringlets. She is a size 6 in shoes, and is typically seen in a clean, simple-yet-elegant outfit.

Personality:
Ellen is a sweetheart. Enough said. She's patient, considerate of others, generous to requests, and always willing to lend a hand without complaint. Or, that's how it seems. Ellen is known as a 'yes' girl. Ellen can't say no and when that "Yeah, sure!" slips out, only then does she realize what mess she's gotten herself into. Now, to contradict with that low complaint reputation, never would you want to read the girl's mind. Thankfully, Ellen possesses self-control and the ability to keep to herself. In her head are sneer remarks and whines booming from one ear to the other, but stays in the vicinity. However, even Ellen's patience can run dry. Once she snaps, the comments she conceals so well jumps into her mouth and out for the public to hear. Though, the majority of favors Ellen does are genuine. Oh...and she cannot bear disorganization. There's a slight OCD towards it, you see.

History
Family:
Ellen's present family is rather simple. One careless stepmother (Lucy Tremaine) and two lazy, completely irresponsible teenage sister around her age, Amy and Stacy. Her previous family consisted of two loving parents, both deceased, Paul and Genevieve Taylors.
Bio:
Born on a late night December's Christmas Eve, Ellen has always had the liberty of receiving double the gifts on Christmas day. She was up to the age of four and as spoiled as her parents could afford, but she didn't take it for granted. Besides, she was a young girl and barely understood what that meant in the first place. However, this all ended on the day before her 5th birthday, when her parents were out shopping for last minute groceries. They had left Ellen with her babysitter, Mrs. Tremaine. While she was playing dolls with Mrs. Tremaine's two daughters, her parents were subject to a fatal car crash, taking both their lives during the accident. Mrs. Tremaine, not being completely heartless at the time, took the liberty of putting Ellen under her care, and raising the child like another daughter.

The first two years or so with the Tremaine's wasn't so bad, until Ellen, Amy, and Stacy entered their grade 1 class. They were assigned their first homework assignment, and Amy and Stacy, not understanding the concept of 'homework', left it to Ellen to decipher the purpose for them. So Ellen complied, and ever since, it has escalated from there. It went from homework to chores, though nowadays, Ellen does not even bother with Amy and Stacy's academics. While the two are out partying and having a good time, she sticks to the 'Swiffer' and cooks for the family. On the weekends, when both Lucy and the sisters are out on their own accounts and not making a mess at home, Ellen has the free time to take on her own personal hobbies. This was when she discovered dance, photography, and paint.
Beliefs:
Ellen isn't completely religious, but she does believe there is a heavenly form watching over us all.
Goals:
Option 1: Go to college, find the perfect guy, and ditch her family to start her own :)
Option 2: Participate in dance competitions and get noticed, get famous.
Option 3: Travel around the world, taking snapshots of famous landmarks, or secret scenery's never explored (it's more of a dream than goal).

Kayla's beauty lies in her subtle charm, grace, and her classic style. She appears mysterious and magnetic; almost as if she is from a different time. Her skin is fair and soft, and her eyes resonate with innocence.

Personality: Kayla is pure, kind hearted, and sweet as honey. She comes off as innocent and childish because of her sparkly charm and rosy view of the world. Though she can be persuasive, friendly, and social, she often does not connect with people so well, mainly because of her past. More often, she prefers substituting people for the many small animals which she tends to, or with burying herself in chores and cleaning. She is a bit on the nervous side, and typically cannot be fully content until she feels she has done everything to fix up her surroundings; her environment is very important to her. She tends to be a bit of a perfectionist, and thus sometimes may offer advice and criticism in places where it is not welcome. Kayla's biggest flaw is her superficial view of the world, which leads her towards being naive and some may label her as being dumb, ditzy, or airheaded. Her other main flaw is a paralyzing lack of self esteem; her tendency to criticize herself and everything she does usually results in becoming self destructive.

Hobbies: Believe it or not, Kayla's favorite hobby is doing laundry. She always properly irons her clothing or the clothing she tends to for others, and properly perfumes them with her homemade balms. Which leads us to her second hobby, perfume-brewing. Having a strong knowledge of nature, Kayla uses essential oils, flowers, and herbs to create beautifully smelling scents. She also loves to weave, clean, cook, sew, and repair anything that may appear broken.

History
Family: Kayla's mother and father died when she was very little, and she was left in the care of her stepmother who raised her. Some may argue that her stepmother is evil or conniving, but Kayla defends her strongly, stating that she is merely "misunderstood". She is very grateful for her stepmother's advice, financial support, and for ultimately raising her.
Bio: She used to live with her wealthy stepmother in a large mansion in Massachusetts. Her stepmother began strongly suggesting that Kayla be sent away to a school to "teach her how to be a proper young lady" once she began maturing into a beautiful young woman around the age of 12. At 14, her stepmother got her wish, sending Kayla to New York. She was kind enough to supply Kayla with sufficient funding to live in a rather wealthy two bedroom townhouse. Though her stepmother takes care of all of Kayla's living expenses, she insinuates that this gives her ultimate power over the decisions that Kayla makes, and in the end calls most of the shots of what Kayla does.
Beliefs: Kayla strongly believes in the good in people; she simply cannot see the bad. The way she views life is that there are things to be admire everywhere you turn; you just have to look hard enough to find it. Or, at least that is her advice to others. For herself, she has absolutely no trouble seeing the beauty in people or in nature. She is a bit blinded in a sense, for she cannot see the bad in people, and is completely unaware of any negative intentions that others may have toward her - and she does have a knack for garnering enemies through jealously or resentment. Kayla also believes strongly in the preservation of nature and animals, sometimes attending rallies to fight for animal rights or landmark preservation.
Goals: Kayla wants to do what is best for her, but at the same time, she wants to make her stepmother happy. She feels as though she has never been able to please her, which has garnered an inferiority complex deep within Kayla's psyche. She would protest this when called out on it, however, insinuating that she is perfectly confident in everything she does, when it is quite obvious she is not. Kayla longs to find herself, her true love, and her pride.



Family: Belle's mother died too long ago for her to remember. Most of her life, she has been raised by her father. Being an only child, the girl has always thought it her responsibility to help run things. The man works hard, putting everything he has into trying to take care of the both of them. Despite his efforts, though, they are still one of the poorer of families in New York. She tries to help him, and keep him sane; it doesn't seem to be working, though, according to most people. He is an inventor- only thing is, he's never made much money off anything he has invented. Belle doesn't mind, though; she loves her father a lot, and tries to make sure he is well no matter what. So, while he is down in the basement working on all of his out there ideas, she does all the cooking and cleaning.
Bio: When Belle was younger, she lived in an apartment in one of the two apartment buildings in a small town in Alaska. She was home schooled for a while, but soon she grew tired of life in the two bedroom apartment, and began to venture out. Her father enrolled her in school when she was in fifth grade; less than a year later, they were evicted. Because they didn't have the money to find somewhere else to stay at that point, Belle and her father moved to New York, to live with Belle's grandmother. That's when she met the girls, and she was soon brought into their little group of friends; how, she can't really remember. In sixth grade, Belle's grandmother died, and left everything she had to Belle and her father- including her small, three bedroom, one bath, house. The two were grateful, of course; they had never lived in anything but an apartment before moving in with her grandmother, and it was good to get away from the grumpy upstairs and downstairs neighbors.

His black hair is slightly messing, but for the most part neat atop his head unless he is stressed, in which case, it is probably messed up completely from him running his fingers through it. His lips are full and bright pink that shows off his lightly tanned features, and his straight eyebrows somehow manage to make his face look mysteriously interested in basically anything anyone has to say. His nose isn't straight, seeing as it's been broken quite a few times, but somehow, it managed to look better that way. All over his skin are scars from accidents and stuff, all reminders of the fact that he should not try anything dangerous; reminders that he ignores, but reminders all the same.

Personality: Eric is sweet, but quiet. He doesn't really know what do to with himself most of the time, and is often found at a loss for words. Awkward and clumsy, he tries to do a lot more than he can, and usually ends up getting hurt. He's a bit of a romantic, Eric was raised to know how to treat a lady. He holds the door, stands closest to the street, makes sure they're in their homes before leaving; everything. A lot of more independent girls think he is an asshole for it, but he's not trying to belittle them or act like they can't take care of themselves. He has a soft spot for clumsy girls, which is part of why he first started falling for Ariel. He doesn't sleep much, but when he does he sleeps like the dead, which annoys his parents when he needs to get up in the morning. When he's stressed, he runs his fingers through his hair a lot, and nibbles on his lower lip. When he's sad, he has a tendency to lock himself away in his father's yacht for days, only leaving it to go to school, and sometimes even skip school to curl up in his car if it gets so bad he doesn't want to see anyone.
Skills: Eric is good at sailing, and secretly good at singing- though he would never sing in front of anyone, except maybe Ariel on occasion. He is also good at keeping secrets, seeing as he wouldn't know how to tell them anyway.
Hobbies: Sailing; he absolutely loves being on his father's yacht.

History
Family: His parents were both born into rich families, and then started making their own money; so, Eric and his family has always been well off. His father is a business man and is away a lot, and his mother is a lawyer, making her very strict. Marcus, Eric's little brother- younger by two years- often gets away with things, though. Unlike Eric, Marcus is far from a klutz, and rather sneaky, too. Eric doesn't really care, though, as long as Marcus doesn't drag him into it, which has been known to happen. A quote that Eric constantly throws at his brother is : "Don't do anything you won't want to explain to the paramedics." Ironically, Eric is usually the one having to go to the hospital, and explain things to the doctors and such.
Bio: The Thompsons have lived in New York for as long as Eric can remember. At one point he was sent to private school, but was promptly kicked out and set to public school when he was in fourth grade; he broke the Head Master's thousand dollar bust. For years Eric drifted between school and friends, never really finding anywhere to fit in. Then, in tenth grade, he switched schools once more, and ended up going to the same school as Ariel Carreson. He went a year without really noticing her; then, in eleventh grade, he saw her coming out of the pool. Instantly, he felt the urge to go up and talk to her. He held back, though, not wanting to look like a fool, seeing as he knew he had nothing to say. Sooner than he had ever dreamed of, it seemed that Ariel liked him back. They started dating, but had to keep it a secret from her parents, because they would not like the fact at all; her parents were Olympic swimmers, and did not want their daughter to have anything to do with anything that might distract her from her Swimming and/or Singing career.
Beliefs: His father is Christian, and his mother is a Quantist. Eric has never really given it all too much thought, but he's leaning more towards his mother's Spiritual side of things; he believes that pretty much anything is possible, and when it comes to religion, everything is a little bit right but is also a little bit wrong.
Goals: Eric's life goal is to go to college and then travel the world in a yacht, hopefully with Ariel and a few of his friends by his side.

Appearance: Ariel stands 5'5", and has an average body build, weighing 133lbs. She has grayish blue eyes that change color depending on her mood, and the weather. They range from a bright blue, to an aqua green, and of course their normal color. Adorning her ever-changing eyes is a light green eyeshadow that Ariel applies religiously, and a light covering of eye liner and mascara that are barely visible. Her hair falls in fiery red waves that reach right to her shoulders and bangs that fall over the left side of her face and often cover that eye. Her skin is a light color, but her cheeks are always a natural rosy pink that gives her face life and helps to enhance her natural beauty. Her facial features all match up pretty well, though she isn't too fond of her nose, which is small and slightly pointed; but it looks good with her small lips, so she thinks it's alright. Upon her arms are bracelets that she never takes off, and around her neck is a necklace that her grandmother gave her when she was eleven, that only leaves her neck when she is going to take a shower.

Family: Ariel has her parents Minos -Her father- and Anthea -her mother-; They run a small knick knacks shop, which Ariel suggested to them. They don't really need to work at all anymore, the riches from their glory days and retirement is still hanging around, so they pretty much just run the little shop to have something to do and so they don't feel like bums, the are only in their early fourties!. Ariel also has seven sisters ranging from the ages of nineteen to twenty nine. She only still shares the house with the youngest of her older sisters, Chrysilla. The rest of them are gone to college, or living somewhere around New York, her sister Astrea is still very much so a part of their life, because she helps her parents with the shop sometimes.
Bio: Ariel was born in California, and stayed in a large beach side mansion with her grandpa, mother, father, and seven sisters. Her parents were both Olympic swimmers and were gone a lot for training and competitions; They did more than the Olympics and were always traveling all over the world. The girls were pretty much raised by their grandpa, who spoiled all of them to no end, because he had a small fortune of his own. She spent most of her young days playing in the ocean and working on her swimming skills with her sisters, they were all naturally talented girls and sometimes her grandfather joked that Minos and Anthea had spawned a bunch of half fish children, like themselves. The years passed, and Ariel got into the first grade. She loved school and was in choir from the first day she walked into the door, and was often recruited to do solo's, though she was completely terrified. By the time she was in third grade, she had made many friends and was loved by most of her teachers; her school life and home life were great, and then one day her parents came home and announced to the house that they would be retiring from their swimming career. All the girls were over joyed to hear it, until they also spilled the news that they were going away again, to find a new place for the family to live.
Three months later, the girls got the long awaited phone call that her parents would be returning home within the next few days, and to get packing because they would all soon be on their way to New York. A ten year old Ariel cried and told her grandfather she loved California and didn't want to go, but there was no other choice. The day came for all of them to leave, and her two oldest sisters informed their parents they would be staying in Cali with their grandpa while the rest of the family went off on the adventure to a new place. Ariel started the new school year in fourth grade, and though she was shy at first, soon began making friends. More friends than she had had in Cali even.
By the time she got to her junior year, she had made the best friends in the world, the ones she always planned to keep and loved with all her heart. She was excited and scared for the last year of high school, but knew that with friends like these, she'd be just fine.
Beliefs: Ariel's parents are from Greek descent, so they mostly believe in mythology. but with a few of the modern Christian beliefs added onto it. Ariel, though, doesn't really have a religion, she doesn't care how the everything started, or where she's gonna go when she dies. In her opinion, she wasn't there when the Earth was made so it doesn't really matter how -not to mention she thinks it's ridiculous that anyone actually believes that they really know- and she's not dead yet, so why should she worry?
Goals: To either be an Olympic Swimmer like her parents, or to make it big as a singer. Secretly, she wants to go to a good college and become a writer, along with her singing career.

Appearance: Adam stands at 5'8" and is one of the shortest guys that he knows in his school. He has bright blue eyes, that would be really pretty if anyone could get past his other features. He's on the very thin side, with long lanky arms and legs that look too short to go with them. His nose is pointed and doesn't go well with his small and softly rounded cheek bones. His lips are thin and a light, but dull shade of pink that makes his face look just a little lifeless, and his top two teeth are very large, while the ones surrounding and below them are of average size; to go along with the way the sizes are mismatched, his teeth are crooked and not in very good shape, they yellow easily, though he tries his best to brush them everyday and keep them clean. His ears though they are not very large in size, stick out away from the sides of his head unnaturally far, making him look slightly clownish. Due to his nervous habit, his fingers are often a sore pink color and his nails are always very short and ragged. And, the thing that annoys him most is the size of his Adam's apple, and the way it bobs unattractively when he talks or swallows. And, on top of all that his parents refuse to get him contacts, so he's stuck with his dorky glasses. Overall, he's not a pretty sight, not even to himself.

When he gets nervous -which is quite often- he will bite his nails a little, and chew big sores into the inside of his lips.
Skills: Adam can play the violin like a pro, he is above average when it comes to brains, and unlike most guys, can cook a delicious meal in a decent amount of time.

Family: He has his mother -Lily- and father -Nick- who are both of the middle class, and both work for a living. Their family is small and consists of just the two children, Adam and his little sister, Mary. Mary is the more spoiled of the two, being the youngest and of course the pride of the family. A cheerleader and on the volleyball team. But, Adam loves his family, of course and would protect them with his life, and anyone who messes with his little sister is in for it, verbally.
Bio: Adam, like his parents, was born and raised in New York. He's never left the state, and has barely left the town that he was born in. He was an only child up until the age of seven, when his little sister Mary came along. He always had some neighborhood friends that he would hang out with occasionally, but that changed when Mary came along. He would much rather stay inside to try and help his mother take care of her and entertain her the best he could; That became his favorite thing in the world for a few months, his littler sisters laughs and smiles when they played Peek-A-Boo. He was always a secluded child and then the prospect of school came around soon after his little sister was born. It was time for him to go off to first grade, and he couldn't have been more excited; he was sure he was going to make a bunch of new friends and that it would be just like all the movies. He was sadly mistaken. The first day did not go how he imagined, nor did the days to follow and he soon realized that he would not be making many, if any friends. Children were cruel and picked on those "different", "ugly', or "weird" as kids often called him. The years passed, and nothing really changed accept Adam's outlook on everything; he stopped caring what others thought -for the most part- and put his energies into school and his hobbies instead of trying to make friends. But, even if he tried to be invisible, he got noticed and in the eight grade got a nickname that stuck: "The Beast". By the end of the year, that's what almost everyone knew him by and to this day he still hears people call it out if they're trying to get his attention. Don't get me wrong though, not everyone hates him completely- He has had a few random friends float in and out of his life, but, he would never actual call them friends because they usually only hung out for school projects or to play video games. Taking this all into consideration, Adam has had a pretty rough go of it, but he keeps his head high and tried not to be mean to anyone, ever, even if they really do deserve it.
Beliefs: Adam is an atheist, though his parents and little sister are very Christian. He stopped going to church when he was eleven, and now he believes in the scientific side of things. He's lost almost all the faith he had when he was a young, young boy and almost nothing could make him believe that "God" exists.
Goals: He wants to go to a good college and be a counselor for children and young adults and help those that have suffered hard childhoods, especially.

For some of the princesses, their own names work the best. But feel free to use a different name if you want, Lavender.

Gaston is NPC. I think that I'm going to play Peter for my male, so I'll mostly be taking care of him. If someone plays John eventually (sorry, I accidentally marked John instead of Peter...) then they'll have some control over him as well.

Theme songs are just sort of tunes that describe them. Although they can be songs that they like. Basically, you can use that however you like. I just like to figure that out when fleshing out my characters.

Beliefs is talking about their spritual beliefs (ie - William is pretty religious, so explain that there...) if they don't really have a conventional religion, just describe how they view life in general. Or if they don't really think about it that much and just like to party.

A pair of stony blue, almond-shaped eyes that don her face is finished with pink cupid bow lips. Ellen is known as a 'yes' girl. Ellen can't say no and when that "Yeah, sure!" slips out, only then does she realize what mess she's gotten herself into. Now, to contradict with that low complaint reputation, never would you want to read the girl's mind. Thankfully, Ellen possesses self-control and the ability to keep to herself. In her head are sneer remarks and whines booming from one ear to the other, but stays in the vicinity. However, even Ellen's patience can run dry. Once she snaps, the comments she conceals so well jumps into her mouth and out for the public to hear. Though, the majority of favors Ellen does are genuine.

Oh...and she cannot bear disorganization. There's a slight OCD towards it, you see.

Family:
Ellen's present family is rather simple. One careless stepmother (Lucy Tremaine) and two lazy, completely irresponsible teenage sister around her age, Amy and Stacy. Her previous family consisted of two loving parents, both deceased, Paul and Genevieve Taylors.
Bio:
Born on a late night December's Christmas Eve, Ellen has always had the liberty of receiving double the gifts on Christmas day. She was up to the age of four and as spoiled as her parents could afford, but she didn't take it for granted. Besides, she was a young girl and barely understood what that meant in the first place. However, this all ended on the day before her 5th birthday, when her parents were out shopping for last minute groceries. They had left Ellen with her babysitter, Mrs. Tremaine. While she was playing dolls with Mrs. Tremaine's two daughters, her parents were subject to a fatal car crash, taking both their lives during the accident. Mrs. Tremaine, not being completely heartless at the time, took the liberty of putting Ellen under her care, and raising the child like another daughter.

The first two years or so with the Tremaine's wasn't so bad, until Ellen, Amy, and Stacy entered their grade 1 class. They were assigned their first homework assignment, and Amy and Stacy, not understanding the concept of 'homework', left it to Ellen to decipher the purpose for them. So Ellen complied, and ever since, it has escalated from there. It went from homework to chores, though nowadays, Ellen does not even bother with Amy and Stacy's academics. While the two are out partying and having a good time, she sticks to the 'Swiffer' and cooks for the family. On the weekends, when both Lucy and the sisters are out on their own accounts and not making a mess at home, Ellen has the free time to take on her own personal hobbies. This was when she discovered dance, photography, and paint.
Beliefs:
Ellen isn't completely religious, but she does believe there is a heavenly form watching over us all.
Goals:
Option 1: Go to college, find the perfect guy, and ditch her family to start her own :)
Option 2: Participate in dance competitions and get noticed, get famous.
Option 3: Travel around the world, taking snapshots of famous landmarks, or secret scenery's never explored (it's more of a dream than goal).

Aladdin stands approximately 6 feet tall, give or take a few millimeters. He has a light tan from spending too much time in the sun, and his forehead is a few shades lighter since his (very) dark brown hair usually covers that spot. Thank goodness they don't cover his eyes though, wouldn't want to hide those things from the world. Though his reputation isn't the greatest, his striking brown orbs definitely make up for it. You have to make eye-contact to understand, to see the mischievous smirk laughing, mocking even, towards you. They're full of 'life', as one would say, but all other features are simple and average. His lips are a pale pink and possesses possibly the smallest crook a nose could ever have. But it is there. Aside from his facial features, he has a slender build, and is more agile than strong, but fast nonetheless. He has a a couple of tiny scars here and there, from common accidents when younger.

Aladdin is a laid-back guy in general. He has just about no restraints to his actions, and his stubborn head always makes that stupid thing he finds smart take place. His middle name is 'troublemaker', and he's always the one going in and out of the principals office for some stunt he's pulled again. When suspension becomes a consequence, you must be mental to believe Aladdin would mind. Honestly, he couldn't care less (for just about everything) if he was removed from school for a certain period of time, as long as he wasn't discarded forever. The only thing that keeps him from fooling around to the extreme is the risk of never seeing some certain...people, person maybe. Aladdin is, unexpectedly and unknowingly, dependent. The people he enjoys being around feed into his own smile. Every time those people/person are not in view, his depression begins to show with his physical appearance. He constantly teases the ones he adores and prays they don't take it seriously. It's his only discovered way of showing affection.

Aladdin's parents...well, he can't even call him parents. Meryl Davis is a prostitute and Timothy Rogers is her pimp. He was an accident child, one that was never supposed to exist.
Bio:
Imagine the base of Harry Potter's tale retold, minus the magic. Aladdin was born to a deranged couple with a bipolar, sort-of-not-really relationship to which the most the two would hate for is a child. Merely a few hours when Aladdin was introduced to the world, he was dumped with a note at the doorstep of the only safe connection Meryl had, her older sister, Diana. Diana and her husband, not being completely heartless, took the unknown baby in and nursed him as their own, deciding their own baby, Gavin, could use a playmate. However, Aladdin grew up as the bullied. He was always the smaller, weaker one of the two, and constantly being taken advantage of. His adoptive aunt and uncle did not do much of it, for they were always away while this took place. He attended the same school as Gavin at the same grade, and around the public, they acted as if they did not know each other. At home, the bullying resumed, until the age of 14, when Aladdin ~~finally~~ grew up and could pack quite the powerful punch, and pissed Gavin off so much with his clever tricks.
Even so, it was due out of habit that he keeps his distance from home anyway. He now spends the rest of his life wandering the cities, finding passageways, and using that creative mind of his for the worse.

Personality: Kayla is pure, kind hearted, and sweet as honey. She comes off as innocent and childish because of her sparkly charm and rosy view of the world. Though she can be persuasive, friendly, and social, she often does not connect with people so well, mainly because of her past. More often, she prefers substituting people for the many small animals which she tends to, or with burying herself in chores and cleaning. She is a bit on the nervous side, and typically cannot be fully content until she feels she has done everything to fix up her surroundings; her environment is very important to her. She tends to be a bit of a perfectionist, and thus sometimes may offer advice and criticism in places where it is not welcome. Kayla's biggest flaw is her superficial view of the world, which leads her towards being naive and some may label her as being dumb, ditzy, or airheaded. Having a strong knowledge of nature, Kayla uses essential oils, flowers, and herbs to create beautifully smelling scents. She also loves to weave, clean, cook, sew, and repair anything that may appear broken.

History
Family: Kayla's mother and father died when she was very little, and she was left in the care of her stepmother who raised her. Some may argue that her stepmother is evil or conniving, but Kayla defends her strongly, stating that she is merely "misunderstood". She is very grateful for her stepmother's advice, financial support, and for ultimately raising her.
Bio: She used to live with her wealthy stepmother in a large mansion in Massachusetts. Her stepmother began strongly suggesting that Kayla be sent away to a school to "teach her how to be a proper young lady" once she began maturing into a beautiful young woman around the age of 12. At 14, her stepmother got her wish, sending Kayla to New York. She was kind enough to supply Kayla with sufficient funding to live in a rather wealthy two bedroom townhouse. Though her stepmother takes care of all of Kayla's living expenses, she insinuates that this gives her ultimate power over the decisions that Kayla makes, and in the end calls most of the shots of what Kayla does.
Beliefs: Kayla strongly believes in the good in people; she simply cannot see the bad. The way she views life is that there are things to be admire everywhere you turn; you just have to look hard enough to find it. Or, at least that is her advice to others. For herself, she has absolutely no trouble seeing the beauty in people or in nature. She is a bit blinded in a sense, for she cannot see the bad in people, and is completely unaware of any negative intentions that others may have toward her - and she does have a knack for garnering enemies through jealously or resentment. Kayla also believes strongly in the preservation of nature and animals, sometimes attending rallies to fight for animal rights or landmark preservation.
Goals: Kayla wants to do what is best for her, but at the same time, she wants to make her stepmother happy. She feels as though she has never been able to please her, which has garnered an inferiority complex deep within Kayla's psyche. She would protest this when called out on it, however, insinuating that she is perfectly confident in everything she does, when it is quite obvious she is not. Kayla longs to find herself, her true love, and her pride.



He has a problem with people who are less serious than himself, and can harbor resentment towards those who get more attention for being "funny". Family: Shang lives with his mom after his father died in war. His father was a military general. He has no siblings.
Bio: Shang lived with his mom and dad in China up until the age of 9. His father was a renowned military general who died in battle, leaving him and his mother in poverty. Without much money to their name, they managed to escape to America, where they started building their lives back up through hard work. Shang worked to help support his mother, who got a job as an architect. Nowadays, they are pretty wealthy and live in a large house in upstate New York, where Shang attends school at the academy. The poor era of his life has ingrained a fear of poverty in Shang, who up to this day still works relentlessly and has become rather obsessed with money and material possessions.
Beliefs: He is strongly religious. He didn't have much religion growing up back in China. When him and his mom came to America they got baptized as Catholics and are now strongly religious. Shang holds much faith in his beliefs and tends to get offended or put off at those without strong faith or those who are anti-semitic.
Goals: Lots of money, wealth, fancy stuff, and to be fit and healthy.
