Having returned to his safe haven, Nevano took a seat at a small, rough wooden table. He reached for a small clay vase sitting in the middle of the table and poured it's contents into a bowl in front of him. he watched as the sparkling clean water flowed from the vase, silently filling the bowl. Once finished, he set the vase back in the center of the table, then raised his right hand, holding it just inches above the water's surface. He closed his eyes, then muttered a quick, arcane spell. The surface of the water rippled once, and he continued to focus. Slowly, droplets of water began arising into the air, gathering and accumulating into a small sphere above his hand. This continued until all of the water had drained from the bowl, forming into a perfect, flawless, sphere. Light from a slightly cracked open window pierced through the sphere, the diffusing light adding a faint glow to the orb. Slowly, he opened his eyes, staring at the object. For an instant, a small light flickered within the sphere. However, it quickly died down, and a slightly disappointed look crossed Nevano's face.
"Well then...it seems he is unavailable for the time being. What a shame..."
He held the orb in the air for a moment. Then, he tilted his hand forward. The orb followed his action and slowly floated through the air, stopping over the opening of the vase. He then turned his hand sideways, clenching it into a fist. The sphere did likewise, squeezing together as though some invisible force were constricting it. A small tip formed on the bottom, which then began flowing down into the vase opening. Through this method, the water funneled down into the vase, and Nevano released his clenched fist, letting out a breath that he didn't realize he had been holding.
"Disappointing. I really did want to have a little chat with him."
