Delilah May Gerdes
"A Silver Arrow," Hugo laughed loudly, "Come one, surely you can find a better broom than that. I just hope it isn't reduced to splinters trying to keep up with my Nimbus."
Delilah shook her head, "Tsk-tsk-tsk, never doubt the skill of the Silver Arrow, " She paused and poked him on the nose, "You will regret it." She laughed a bit as she knew that her broom wasn't bad at all. She could get it up to speeds just as fast as the Nimbus, maybe even faster.
Lilah chuckled at Lily's rapid escape from the carriage. It made excitement surge through her veins even more. Lysander followed shortly after, leaving her and Hugo alone. This made her a bit nervous, but she brushed the feeling away.
Suddenly Hugo grabbed her arm and they were running towards the castle, "Come on." He said with excitement. "I don't know what it's like at the Hufflepuff table, but I want to get a good seat at the Gryffindor." He continued, "I figure we can meet back here shortly after the deast for our race. We've got to be careful though, and make sure no one catches us."
Lilah laughed as he dragged her along the path to the Great Hall, passing everyone up. She couldn't stop smiling. She was happy to know that Hugo, or Lily and Lysander for that matter, already considered her their friend.
She answered him, half laughing, "Yes, I would like to get a good seat too. I'm sure either Holli or Lily is saving a seat or two." She paused and smirked confidently, "Alright, tonight after the feast sounds wonderful. Be prepared to eat my dust, sir."
Right then, they had arrived at the Great Hall. She chuckled a bit and ruffled Hugo's soft hair, then ran off to the Hufflepuff table, smiling the whole way. She spotted Holli with two saved seats and plopped down beside her.
Lilah smiled at her and said, "Thanks for saving us seats, I tihnk I saw Lily waiting by the stairs for James. Hopefully she'll be here shortly."
Lilah's stomache was growling loudly now, and she couldn't wait for the feast to start. She turned to Holli and said, "I can't wait for this year's quidditch season! I'm going to show everyone how much I've improved, and I'm going to make a mark!" She had a determined gleam in her eye as she awaited Holli's answer.
James Sirius Potter
He awaited Allura to answer with his hand still in mid-air. Finally she said, "I'm fine, really.", and playfully suck her tongue out at him.
James laughed a bit to himself as he sat down across from Dwight, and watched Allura get in by herself. Dwight and Dominique were star gazing and chatting amongst themselves. The stars put him at peace, he liked to look at them when he was upset.
Allura turned towards James, that goofy bored look on her face. "So... what's with all the generosity all of a sudden?"
He smiled sincerely and answered, "No reason really..." He paused and thought for a moment, "Just feeling generous. People often critisize me for my reputation, including my cousin over here, and I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. Lets just say it's for a girl."
James finished and realized Allura had dozed off, and her head had gently fell upon his shoulder. He smiled to himself. She looked so peaceful. He was just about to move the hair out of her face when his cousin glared at him intensely. No doubt she was protective of her friend. He smirked at Dominique and moved the hair from Allura's face to behind her ear softly. He then looked down and fidgeted with his fingers the rest of the way.
He just got here and everybody was on his case. Had he really been so much a jerk this whole time? It couldn't of been that bad, could it? Whatever the case, he was ready for a change. He was sick of the glares, sick of the insults, sick of the jokes, and most of all sick of people assuming he is a bad person. He really isn't. It's like he lost everybodys' trust as his reputation spread.
The carriage had slowed to a stop and James looked to Allura, "Time to get up sleepyhead." He shook her a little bit and waited for her to awake. James then thought about Lily, she would no doubt be waiting for him by the stairs like every other year. He should hurry up and get to her.
He looked to Dominique and said, "I have to catch up with Lily, can you tell Allura that I'll see her in the Great Hall? Please cousin, please?"
He gently leaned Allura against the carraige wall, and whispered in her ear so Dominique couldn't hear, "I'll see you at the Gryffindor table."
James got up quietly and waved goodbye as he hopped out of the carriage and strolled inside. He walked right passed all the other people and went straight to the stairs. He spotted Lily in the distance and shouted to her.
He walked up to her and said, "Hello Lils, how was your ride? You look quite happy." He flicked her ear and chuckled, giving her a half smile. His dearest sister would no doubt cheer him up a bit.
