The Grey House... A plantation house of sorts, named for Lady Grey, the wealthy woman who used to own the mansion. Its history is steeped in Southern tradition; pre-war... a time of parties and celebration for the rich. Lady Grey herself was a captivating woman, able to charm even the most stalwart of hearts. With her soothing silver tongue, and brilliant charm she was the life of every party she hosted... On the night of one such party, she was hosting a masquerade. Everyone was in outlandish costumes and enjoying themselves, not noticing that their enchanting hostess had removed herself from the festivities, but they would not have to wait long to find out where Lady Grey had fled to. As her screams were soon echoing through the home, filling each room with shrills, the screams soon turning to laughter...such evil laughter it couldn’t possibly be the Lady Grey. The next morning a messenger was sent, for most of the guests from the party had not returned home, and the ones that did seemed to have lost their minds. What was found would be posted in every paper in the state, hell in the nation...Bloody bits of flesh, sprayed everywhere, bodies or what was left of bodies, were strewn across the rooms, masks, feathers, bits of clothing were blood soaked, and you could hear the evil cackling of someone...or something still echoing through the halls.


Cut to present day, Margarete Grey, now owns the Grey house, after all it was in her family. The infamous Lady Grey had been a black spot on the family name, so much so that she had been the only one to claim the name of Grey. She always refused to believe that her relative had done those horrible things, after all she had never been found, just assumed to be one of the massacred bodies. All records of the woman showed her to be, while a little cunning and devious, far from evil! The house had been cleaned up, only a few blood stains here and there to show for its shady past..But no one would dare live in it, for fear of whatever killed those people so long ago... Margarete sent out invitiations to people, paranormal scientists, detectives, and relatives of guests of Lady Grey's all to come to the house and see if they could help clear her long lost relative’s name.
After all it wasn't like the house was haunted.



Welcome to my horror rp! I'm going to make this clear, I am not only playing Margarete, but also the house itself. Relation to the Grey Incident: It has haunted her family for as long as she can remember.

Knowledge of the Grey Incident: Everything you can know about it. She's made her life about reserching and understanding everything that happened.

Personality: She is slightly sarcastic, but charming none the less. She has a regal air about her that draws people in, much like her ancestor. She can be rather cruel at times, but only when upset. The rest of her personality she hides, for fear of people getting too close.

Appearence: Long blonde hair that she keeps up in a tight bun, she usually wears pant suits or skirts. Usually in dark or dreery colors. on occasion, she will wear red... (cant find a good pic for her yet lol)

Short Bio: Margarete has lived in the shadow of her history all her live, but never resented that fact, more like embraced it, throwing herself into the history her family longs to forget. Even at a young age she was always interested in odd things, such as death and ghosts...now she is more mature and only believes in things she knows are real...and has developed a strong need to clear her ancestors name.

Other: She has a keen sense of sight, and notices things most never would. She has no "paranormal" powers, but believes that others could. She hates liars and cheats, and loves parties, though she never would host one. This is the closest thing to a party she has ever given....

Knowledge of the Grey Incident: just what shes googled. that a bunch of people were massacred and the house is suppossevly haunted. shes bringing her video camera so she can "document" her stay and prove that the myths are either true or false.

Personality: she kind of odd, like nerdy stuff, and horror movies. gore is always accepted in her movie collection. she like video and photography, is sarcastic, but shes open minded when it comes to ghosts, and she belkieves strongly in the paranormal, in fact if given the chance in sure shed definately choose to join the dead if there ere spirits roaming somewhere.

her great great great grandparents were killed the night of the massacre, and she wants to find out what happened. other than that shes just there for free food, and a possible ghost hunt. she liked it when freaky things happen, and shes bringing her video camera to document it, and perhaps make her own horror movie with the footage or get ideas from the creepy old house.

Appearence: Short and thin, curly red hair that is cut short to her chin. Big bright green eyes.

Short Bio: Haven is anxious to get inside the house and figure out what is that happened there. She read the some news paper clippings in the case file that suggested it to be paranormal, but she doesn't believe it and she is more anxious than scared.
