I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Hellboy Rp. I just finished watching the second movie, which was awesome so go watch it, and figured I'd go ahead and make an rp for it. Now, I'm not going into the details yet, because that will be open for discussion. Also, I encourage original characters, so whether or not Hellboy himself is in it is up to the people participating. If not, then it will just be a B.P.R.D rp, (which if you don't know, that is the agency that Hellboy works for. If we don't use Hellboy and Abe Sapien, then we can just use that basic setting)

I like the idea too, but just for the sake of not having a fight. Lets say that this is another group rather than hearing, "I wanna be Hellboy!" "I want to be Abe!" "Uhhh but I wanted Hellboy."

I think it would be better if Hellboy and the gang were in the background and only showed up once or twice.

And really no one can match is badassry. Lets just leave that alone.

Yea, whoever is in the roleplay has to be original characters, but the GM can bring in Hellboy to shot something every once and awhile. You will have to specify what races are available though.

And yes, Hellboy is badass. But Prince Nuada? He is badass and cute.

Lol, I agree with you on that Xersist. Besides, making original characters is more creative and in my opinion makes for better rping.

Also, I will not specify what races are available. In the Hellboy movies and comics, there are a large array of races, some of which are made up. So, just post some basic information about your character, including the species, and I will either approve or disapprove it. (most likely approve)

I think it shows class as well, not to fuck up DelTor, and the original writer's character.

I would leave it up to the Gm or someone else to do the intro, Hellboy would give his lack luster speech to the new recruits and then be on his way.

It would probably be just a rag-tag bunch with one human as a vet watching over them. Doing simple mission from the start.

I will see the movie either today or tomorrow, so ya. I know its gonna be good. Oh and Seth is in that movie! I love that guys voice.

Oh and when you make the IC thread, lets put Hellboy, but then the "(organizations name) agents in training" Pr something like that, so others will know what they are getting into.

Well, I"m not so sure about the simple missions part. I mean, they'll start out doing a few that seem mundane, but I have a plot in mind, and so those small missions will have to have relevance.

I'll GM it, so you'll see Hellboy occasionally. Also, I don't really like the whole new recruit think. The way you described it seemed too much like the new Jedi in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Academy (if you've played that game, you'll know what I"m talking about)

Ah ya I see, well if we do have vets there gonna need to know what they are talking about.

And ya the mission need to be small at first, but over all have a bigger scheme to it. Kinda how the first movie went about it. One monster turned into thousands of monsters.

I'd love to join a Hellboy RP! BRPD forever! Just saw the movie last night.

You can join then. Well including Rachelle and Xersist, that makes four. I'd like to keep it at that amount to rp the main characters, and as GM I'll be doing most of the npcing.

So, I think we have enough people joined to rp the main characters that we make, so time for characters I guess.

Is there a character sheet?

Not really. You can write it up as you see fit to add character depth, but all that is required is the basic information, i.e, name, species, appearance, special abilities. I will have to approve all characters.

Oh, and while it is not required, I would greatly like a history and personality section as well.

Name: Órelindë Séregon

Gender: Female

Species/Appearance: Órelindë is an odd humanoid. Though no one is sure of her origins, some guess she is from the stars. She doesn't remember her home planet or dimension, being raised on Earth by an eccentric couple. Her skin is a very light purple, and extremely smooth. She stands at seven feet, her hair hanging around her shoulders. It doesn't get any longer, and never thins. She does not know her life-span, but she is quite strong. She has muscles which she didn't have to work hard to achieve, and her eyes are mostly pupils, with flecks of purple. Though she is strong, she is more on the intelligent side. She accidentally discovered one day that she can jump very high while reaching for a cookie her mother was teasing her with. Her hands are long and slender, with nails that resemble claws. Sharp, almost translucent teeth line her mouth.

Special Abilities: She can jump high, at least twenty feet, though she doesn't always land good. She can also see in the dark, but she sees in shades of gray. Her strength is superior to a humans, but not by too much. She can also be quite quick when the situation calls for it.

History: Órelindë was found and raised by an eccentric couple. They kept her away from the public eye, but she ventured out twenty years after being locked in the basement. At the height of seven feet, considering her appearance, she was quickly noticed. She was also naked. B.P.R.D found her, and gave her some clothes and a place to live, where she would be among others like her.

Personality: Órelindë is curious, and nice. She tries to view things from everyone's point of view, and values secrecy and privacy. She has the potential for great intelligence, like her idol, the aquatic humanoid Abe, but she doesn't lord it over people who aren't as smart.

Name: Antony (No last name)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Cyclops
Appearance: Antony looks like a normal teen, except for the fact that he only has one large, round eye, placed right above his nose. His normal features are pretty much typical for an American teenage boy. He appears to be of Greek descent, with black hair and tan skin. He is moderately built. His eye's iris is dark brown. He stands at 6'1, and he weighs 153lb.
Personality: Antony is a typical teenager, when not on duty. He enjoys videogames, tv, and all those sorts of things. He is a pacifist, and prefers not to seriously injure people. He does not harbour the same gentle nature when dealing with violent supernaturals, believing that they are abusing their powers. He is generally calm, sarcastic, and maybe a bit lazy.
History: Antony was found by the BRPD on a small island off the coast of Greece. There he was taken into their care, and raised. Unfortunately for them, he met Hellboy, and gained the same interest in the outside world. He also developed an admiration for the worlds greatest paranormal detective, constantly wanting to help him on missions. Although Hellboy always declines, he remains persistent. He is not usually used on missions, as the BRPD does not see him as old enough to risk his life like that. He has been begging the higher-ups to give him a chance, and they are starting to cave.
Powers: Antony has an unmatched amount of strenght, being strong enough to rip an eighteen wheeler with light cargo off the ground and hurl it a couple feet. He can also imbue weapons of his own creation with magical properties, although it takes a considerable amount of work.

Hellboy? I'm down. But psh. Who wants to be Hellboy? Roger the Homonculus FTW. Nah, but in all seriousness, I'm in agreement with the general consensus. Original characters. Perhaps Hellboy and the like can be senior operatives, and we are in squads training underneath them? NPC's run by the GM.

Age- 19
Gender- Male
Species- Human, with Psychokinesis
Appearance: Dressed in a blueish-black suit when working on a mission. Has a light-brown hair that keeps his hair shaggy. His blue eyes glows when he uses his powers. he stands 5'11 and a slim waist.
History: Was born as a normal American-boy having nothing amazing happen to him in his life. When Micheal joined the military, at 18. As soon as he finished the military school, he was sent to Afghanistan, station at Kabul. But after going through a normal patrol, his platoon was attack. 3 weeks later Micheal woke up with a throbbing pain in his head. Micheal discovered that he was the only one to survive the ambush, no one knows why. Except for the BRPD, who picked him up and offered him a job. Even though he doesn't know much about his powers, the BRPD seemed very interested in his abilities.
Personality: Always trying to keep his cool, under pressure, but sometimes he could lose control of his powers. Though he finds it hard to relax, he enjoys swimming, and drawing.
Powers- has a tiny grasp of his powers, but relies on his sidearm than his abilities. Can only lift things that he himself can pick up, and the farther away he tries to move something, the less time and less strength Michael can handle.

Name-Teralis Excindieor
Age: looks 29 (about 1000 years old)
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire
Appearance: Teralis likes to wear all black and white, but has a personal liking to purple, in which he keeps a purple handkerchief in his pocket. He is 6'7 and has a average frame. Likes to where a black cloak and black gloves whenever possible, because of his "skin condition". When the sun is up, he covers his face with a latex mask that protects him from the sun, and thin black sun glasses to cover his eyes. While hes resting in his den he likes to read, while usually found dressed in very Renaissance looking clothing. His black sleek hair, and his fair skin, change rapidly if enraged. Making his skin and eyes turn pure white.
History: Teralis has always been on the wrong side of the law. Usually starting up gangs and organized crime units, in the human as well as the mythical realm. However recently Teralis has been foiled time and again by the BRPD and their top-agent, Hellboy. Being thrown in jail has made him all the more bitter. Though he has always believed in the idea of "If you can't beat them join them." Hoping to Out-do Hellboy, and somehow humiliate him.(I know I'm making him bad at the start.) So he has joined the BRPD, also hoping to give Vampires a good name while he works.
Powers and Weapons: Has the usual power of a Vampire, An enhanced level of strength and sight. Can jump high and float long distances. Has the power to teleport anywhere, as long as he can see it. When teleporting Teralis will burst into flames.
Personality- Teralis is a calm and cool most of the time, but when his cool was blown watch out.

Name: Jesarik
Age: Unknown, appears to be in his late twenties
Gender: Male
Species: Link (details below)
Appearance: Jesarik, or Jes as he's called by his friends, is a very normal looking figure based on his anatomy. However, his body is layered with intricate tatoos of his homeland. Like all Links, he has paler skin. He has no body hair and is a very slender indivual. He makes up for his physical weakness with expert agility and acrobatics.
Personality: Very calm and somewhat isolated. Believes that the ends justify the means.
Abilities: Mysticism, provides a link between Heaven, Hell, and Earth. Can command both angels and demons, and allow them to have a controlled possession of his body in order to achieve supernatural feats. Has a sight that can see through disguises and see through Faerie Glamour.

(Note: A Link is a druid-like entity)
