Definition of Helter Skelter - With hurry and confusion & without order or organization
The Blightly family was peaceful mirthful family. Mr. and Mrs. Blightly attended the same college and when they bumped into each other after a common class it was love at first sight. They courted one another for a while but it wasn't 4 months into their sophomore year of college when they finally tied the knot. After college they moved to small town in Tennessee with a small residency of 600 people. Now why, you may be asking yourself, would any young intelligent couple in their right mind move to such a small town. The place held sentimental value for Mrs.Blightly it being the place where her parents had taken her for camping each fourth of July and it had always been her dream to start her family in that small town. Now Mr. Blightly is what many of us today would call whipped, whatever it was Mrs.Blightly wanted he was determined to get it for her. That being said when she told him of her dream it wasn't even a month later before all their belongings were packed up and they were on the road. Mrs. Blightly had not only wanted to live in that small town but she wanted a cozy family of 5 children and as I have already mentioned Mr. Blightly was determined to get whatever it was Mrs. Blightly wanted, and this was no exception.
Okay so I have given you a little insight into the past of Mr. and Mrs. Blightly now let’s skip ahead to where the story truly begins. The Blightly parents had a son whom they named Aaron and he didn't really share in his mother’s love of the countryside. At the age of 17 Aaron decided he'd had enough of it all, the trees tall enough to touch the sky, the grassy pastures as far as the eye could see, and all those cursed cows his family owned. Fed up with life as he knew it he made a run for it and things didn't roll over so well at home after he left. Mrs. Blightly refused to think her son had run away and even though the police assured her that just because there wasn't a note did not mean her son was dead it did little good. She was convinced he had been killed, her oldest son, her baby was dead his body rotting away somewhere without a proper funeral. This drove the woman mad, she would not sleep or eat for days, insisting that she must go look for her baby and it wasn't 2 years later that she passed away. Mr. Blightly had been strong though, after all he had other children to provide for and that he did quite well. He got a job an hour or two away with a big business and he did well with them progressing through the ranks. He was obsessed with his work for doing well meant providing for his children. He became a workaholic who was rarely home. However that does not mean he did not love his children for he did very much love them and would spend time with them when he could afford to, which was usually around Christmas and Thanksgiving. This being said a ton of responsibility fell on the second oldest Blightly child, also a son, after Aaron left.
Alright so now we are down to where our roleplay will be picking up. Now when Aaron had left it wasn't only his family that was hurt, he had a girlfriend/best friend he left behind as well. She was a close family friend who helped the second eldest son after Aaron left and grew to be very close to him. But Aaron was not dead; he did indeed run away to a life much different from the one he had known. He now has a young child whom he did his best to take care of but being a single father without a job or home it wasn't easy. So in a quick decision he returned home right in the nick of time for Christmas, 3 weeks till Christmas to be exact. What will this do to his destroyed family? Will they accept him and the toddler or kick them back out on the streets? And what dead emotions will be aroused when he finds his best friend engaged to marry his brother?

Aaron Blightly sat in the old beat up chevy, the trucks blue paint was peeling and the truch was infested with rust. He had long ago cut the engine off surprised that the gasoline had lasted that long. The meters little hand had been resting on empty for the last 30 minuets of the his trek and it was a miracle that the truck had not long ago given up on him. It would have been nothing new to him it seemed everything had given up on him lately. His employer had given up on him 3 months ago, his girlfriend had given up on him, his landlord had given up on him. The only thing that was constant was his daughter, his sweet beauttiful little daughter. However in a world as cruel as this one how could a single father without a home or job take care of her? He couldn't that was the simple answer, he couldn't take care of her without help.
So there he was sitting in that ugly truck in front of the place he had once called home. It was a nice home, 2 stories high with a white outside and green shutters. Snow covered the ground and trees and ice cycle hung from the railing that led up the steps to the front door. He sighed heavily it had been 7 years since he had been there, 7 years since he had ran away from that quaint house and smal town. He removed his hands from the wheel he had been gripping his knuckles having turned white from the strength of his grip. His hands were cold and it was the extreme need for warmth that finally pulled him from the truck.
He took his sleeping daughter out of the truck holding her in his arm and her small head resting on his shoulder. With the twos single carry own bag in his other hand the male made his way across the snow. His clothes were ragged, his hair long, and his face showing it had been quite a few days since his last shave. It was embarrasing to be returning to his family in this state, his worn flip flops now covered with snow. He made his way up the staris that led to the front door and stared at the door bell. He couldn't do this. He couldn't intrude, they had moved on he was sure. They hadn't missed him for long and now returning would just bring up old retched feelings. The little girl in his arms shifted still asleep and with the sudden motivation to provide for her he rang the bell.
