Hi there, the name is Hekat, but you can just call me Kat like everyone else does.
Okay just a bit about me:
*) My name is really Hekat. I love it because it's so special. If you don't like it, that's your problem.
*) Like the tittle of this topic says I "speak" a lot of languages. The reason: my father is a Spaniard but grew up in Italy (my grandmother is from Italy that's why) before marrying my mother, who's half Japanese (Grandfather from Kyoto) and half French (Grandmother from Lyon) but grew up in Belgium. Me myself am Belgian and grew up there, but because of my parents background I'm a blend of cultures, I have family in Belgium-France-Spain-Italy-Japan, and love it!
*) Yeah I said "speak" because I actually can't speak, I'm a mute. Not deaf though so I can hear everything, just can't make any sound. that is why, you always see me carrying a book and pencil with me.
*) I'm a bit crazy (in fact a lot but let's keep that on the hush hush okay?)

Now a bit about the things I love:

*) First of, I love playing the piano. Not a day goes by or you find my playing it, isn't it for my studies, then it's just for my own pleasure. My greatest idols are Yukie Nishimura and Yiruma.
*) My second greatest passion is my flower garden. Nobody is even allowed to do anything in it, not even our gardener. That little patch is my personal heaven.
*) I love dragons and everything about it: pictures, stories, movies.
*) Reading and writing stories.

Why do I roleplay:

*) I have a rare blood disease called PnH. It isn't really all that terrible, just that sometimes I got a lot of pain in my muscles and my back. if everything thing goes all right I can life a long life. off course things can turn bad and I'll be gone in a week, but hell if I need to stress about that, then I won't be able to sleep. So don't fret about it, I don't. But back to topic, I started to roleplay because I have a huge imagination and write my own stories. But I also tend to never complete them and found it frustrating to be stuck at a moment. So a friend of mine suggested me to roleplay and I got addicted to it really quick.
*) What you do got to know, is because of my disease I can have days that I don't be able to do a lot of things, because I'm to tired or am going to the hospital for a regular check-up. That means I can disappear for a few days or a week, but I'll be back eventually. Like i said, I'm addicted.

Well that's a bit of the crazy thing called Hekat or well just me.

Alright, that's about enough I think. Wow! All that stuff you mentioned is pretty interesting. I'm just straight up Asian .. was adopted into the country when I was 8. I wish I had that diverse of a background, though.

Well why haven't you spoken Spanish in three-four months? And don't worry, I don't care about details like the accent marks. As long as it's understandable I don't mind at all.
And if it's a five star hotel with room service and a swimming pool, I'm happy to make it sound like an hotel.

I took Spanish for four years, and I got pretty much fluent at it. I could understand most things written and I could speak it -- I just had a little trouble hearing it spoken conversationally. It gets so fast, aye? I'm glad I have the Spanish soap network, that's how i used to try and pick up on that bit. :P

Anyways, I'm just out of practice. You should only talk to me in Spanish from now on and force me to relearn and remember all the stuff that my four-year education has given me. :D

So sad to hear about your condition, but it sounds like when you are able to write, you're quite prolific. Why don't you share some of your work with us in the Creative Realm?

Some other features of the forum you might enjoy:

-The Battle Arena: Where combative sorts of every stripe come to test their steel, sinew and spirit against others of their kind. If you're the sort that joins games to put the hurt on the enemy more than anything else, odds are you're going to like it there. Who knows...you just might end up making a name for yourself.

-RPG Design: Despite the name, this forum is primarily about discussion of elements of a story and the art of storytelling; the good, the bad, and the stuff that makes you want to punch babies.

-Role Play Academy: Where the Mentors roam. If you have a question about how to do a particular thing, I recommend you hit up the Library first, as it contains all sorts of articles gleaned from either real-world happenings, previous experience, or simply theoretical approaches. If you're the sort that prefers a bit more interaction, post up a thread in there with your issue and odds are good that a Mentor will come running.

There's a lot more to the site, but I would prefer to leave to you, the newcomer, the pleasure of exploring and discovering new things for yourself.
