personality- Arrogant, a little obnoxious but has sweet and sensitive qualities when he feels like showing them. Definite respect is a key term with him, and basically, if you can't show it, he'll get in your face. Caleb is the funny guy, always cracking jokes and rarely serious in situations that call for it.

other- An obsession with football, Caleb plays it almost nonstop and gets by on the school team as a quarterback.

A beeping sound, seemingly distant from the boy's mind, interfered with his dream, removing the swirling images and replacing them with a whitewashed wall, a poster of a football logo decorating the upper part. The alarm clock on the small table up against his headboard was vibrantly colored, beeping like there was no tomorrow and increasing rapidly, causing Caleb to plant a pillow over his face in order to shut it out, but this had no effect at all.

Exhaling so deeply, it made him dizzy, he rolled from his comfortable position, bringing a hand to slam down on the clock in a hopeful effort to shut it off. It helped...sort of. Now Spanish music was blasting in his face. In high irritation, he reached both hands for the clock, throwing it at the wall and watching as the back and batteries clattered to the floor, along with the now silent object. "Thank you." he muttered irritably, plopping back into the warmth of the blankets, but he knew there was no way he'd get back to sleep. now.

"Is it mom and dad's anniversary today?" he wondered out loud, unable to remember. Racking his brains, he suddenly sat up, his hazel eyes wide open now. There had been a party the night before. New Years Eve. With a groan of irritation, he forced himself to stand, glancing down to his attire which consisted of a pair of boxer shorts and socks. Caleb was a sock freak. He hated being barefoot and when other people were barefoot.

Grabbing the knob of his door after pulling on a dark pair of jeans, he pulled it open slowly and quietly. The window in his room had blocked the sun because of the new curtains he had put up, but the light certainly had made its way into the center of the house, forcing him to take a step back as it blinded him. Blinking furiously, he moved out of the bedroom, making his way down the stairs while banging on doors at random as he passed them.

Rubbing his still bare torso in hunger, he looked around. It was a surprise that he was up earlier than most of the family. Where were his parents? And breakfast? Caleb sighed, seating himself on one of the many couches and crossing his arms. All he planned on for the day was exercise, a long run, and football. If there were any plans being made for the family, he would turn them down. This was a day just for him, and that's what he planned on thinking about bitterly until someone decided to make their presence known in the house.
