If I know I'm going to buy the album at some point, I buy the album. If I just want a few songs by an artist, I just download them for free from Limewire.

I usually see if someone i know has it. I also will search the impossible amount of cds. If no one has it, and it isnt there, then i usually bittorrent find it. Otherwise, if i want to use it as a ringtone, i'll get it from the itunes store.

I download from torrents, mostly. I'm a member of a few communities around the web and sample music from them, and if I like it enough, I support them in what ways I can like going out purchasing their vinyl, merchandise, going to shows, etc.

Torrents, usually. Japanese CDs in Japan are expensive. However, lots of Japanese artists also have releases in Taiwan. My cousin usually buys the Taiwan versions and then lends the CDs to me. A friend of mine who also visits Taiwan occasionally lends me her CDs too. I don't know how the prices compare, but I believe that the Taiwan versions are definitely cheaper than their Japanese counterparts. x__x
