Gray felt like he was being told of like a small child as Jeger told him how stupid his actions were considering his condition. He listened carefully to her words, knowing that if he didn't she could beat it into him - no matter what his condition was. She was right to say that it was risky taking him with them. If anything happened the main priority should've been to keep Gabe safe, but, if he was there, the they were going to feel the need to protect him too.
He was intriguied though, as Jeger offered him use as being bait for Loki. He eyed her carefully as she spoke, looking for hints of lies, though there seemed to be none. She was really serious about using him as bait.
It was a big thing that he was being used for, and his gaze wandered to Ven, who still gave him an unapproving look back. Of course he would, but there was reason to this time.
"It's too early to use me as bait." He wasn't sure why he was saying it, but the thought just came out aloud. He looked up to Jeger again, "We should concentrate on one thing at a time, right? Gabe's safety and training first, then taking out Loki. Being bait should be saved, even if that means I can't come out for a while longer." It was obvious he wasn't particularly happy with what he was saying, as he would've much rather went with them. But Jeger was right in saying that it was too dangerous for all of them.
Ven's eyes widened slightly with surprise as Gray was coming out with this himself. He expected Gray to jump at the oppertunity to get back onto the field. Looks like Jeger was able to talk sense into him. He glanced to Gabe, who seemed to not have a clue what was going on, nor did he seem to care that much. His gaze returned to Gray,
"I guess that means we'll be seeing you later then?" Ven asked, now piping up after letting Jeger talk to his brother seeing as he couldn't do anything to change that boy's mind.
Gray nodded a couple of times,
"Keep it safe," Gray told Ven, glancing at the weapon on his back for a moment. Ven looked him with a puzzled expression for a moment, before clocking on to what Gray was rambling about this time. Sometimes, he wondered whether Loki's attack had affected Gray's random rambling.
And with that, Gray took himself back inside HQ. When the door closed behind him, Ven looked back to Jeger, brow still risen slightly.
"How do you do that? I try and tell him that, and I get punched. You tell him again, give him a choice, and he opts to go inside." Ven was so confused.

Rose watched as the Demon came over, not much taller than herself, all grey, no colour to him. He was... interesting. She hesitated at first, as they were introduced to eachother. Demons didn't usually like Downworlders, but this one seemed fine around her, even offering a hand to shake, without the sharp claws. She gently took it, giving it a quick shake before finding comfort at Loki's side again.
Her gaze wandered between Loki and Luci as they were given a little task to do together. Spying? He had gotten her a Demon to come spying with her? She would've been able to do that any other day on her own. What was this all about? She was still confused, even when Loki left.
"Shouldn't be that hard... we've only got a night-watch now..." Rose said, her voice probably noticably quieter around this Demon than it would've been around Loki. She sighed lightly as she pushed the scarlet curls of hair from her eyes, remembering that she needed a cloaking spell for them, or Luci was going to be seen. If was doing this alone... there wouldn't have been a need for a cloaking spell.
She muttered a collection of words, a slight glitter rising in the air around them. The glitter shimmered over them like a blanket as she finished her words, looking to Luci again when she was done, the corner of her mouth tugged up slightly in a half hearted smile,
"That should do it to cover us both up from them. Can't see us, can't hear us, and most importantly, can't sense you."
Loki had then said that they needed to get to the Hunter HQ swiftly. Was a teleporting spell quick enough. Maybe Luci wouldn't appreciate another spell being cast on him right now. But it would've been the fastest way.
"Do you want to teleport there, or have you got a better way that's just as fast?" She asked, wondering what his input to this little task was actually going to be.
Thinking of you, wherever you are.
We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.
