So three of my favorite book series (the Nantucket Series by S. M. Stirling, the 1632 series by Eric Flint and the Destroyermen series by Taylor Anderson) have a plot line I'd like to try out in a roleplay on the Gateway.
Well, what is this plot point?
A good question my friends and it's time travel. All three of the series start off with an event; be it a storm in Destroyermen, a ring of fire in 1632 or another storm in Island in the Sea of Time, which sends a group of people hurling back through time (or into an alternate earth).
Now I was thinking that the starting point for the game would be in the 1870s. Everyone would be on board a train, traveling west, when it runs into an "event". The train, passengers and anything out characters are carrying get thrown back into the Pleistocene (something like 15,000 years from the present). The rest of the game would the survivors of the train crash as they try to survive in a Megafaua filled world, with other primitive humans and/or another intelligent if primitive species.
Anyone game?
