Into the Forest of Mystery (Wolf RP) (OOC/Sign ups) <--------- If anyone still wants to join. It is always open.
The terrain of Transylvania, the snow white banks looking like foam from the salty ocean hitting the rocky bottom, seemed so vast when standing upon the tallest of hills. Trees were spread out among the white snow, their piney branches covered with the powdered white snowflakes. Squirrels were nestled tightly in the trees, snuggling with each other for warmth and comfort, their bushy tails wrapped tightly around their bodies. Although some bears still roamed the land, most were hibernating in their caves, their dreams littered with fish and food that would be waiting for them when they awoke in the spring.
Large paw prints pressed deep into the snow climbed up this hill and ended where large paws stood holding a long, lean yet slightly muscular frame. She was young, perhaps just turning an adult, her clouded epidermis glistening. It camoflagued with the snow so only her green pools shone. A sliver of yellow spiked her lens in both iris'. A single spot of obsidian fur circled her left orb. She lifted her aperature to the grey cloudy sky and released a long mournful howl.
The howl seemed to rise and fall with the wind, being carried around the land, reaching for the skies perhaps even reaching the ears of Tor and Fenris. Tor and Fenris were the gods that the wolves believed to have created the earth and land they roamed on. The battles that had occured over the years were all the results of Tor and Fenris' own struggle with each other. This was believed among all wolves and stories spread like wildfire. All pups were told of Fenris and Tor, Tor's daughter Sita who brought peace when war was between wolves, and even of the golden wool made by Fenris and how a wolf by the name of Bren, the strongest of all wolves went to try and steal it.
Even the nightmare's of Wolfbane spread as well in hushed tones. Even his name spread fear into the hearts of many. He had been a god, created by Tor and Fenris, sent down to Earth when he had betrayed and sent evil thoughts to the wolves on the ground. Wolfbane had plans to create a world different from what Tor and Fenris wanted and it was even said that Wolfbane had the power to speak to the scavengers, the birds. He had been banished into the shadows and sent away into the land of the dead.
It had been about a year since the Prophecy family had defeated Wolfbane and Morgra, the evil wolf who had used the ancient howl that had brought the specters back from the dead; The evil wolf who wanted to become the Man Varg. The fight between the rebels and the Night hunters was over and done with and everything now was at peace. The wolf who had the Sight, Larka, had given her life to protect the world of the Varg(wolf) and all who inhabited it. Blood had been spilled upon the battlefield but it soon led to the peace before the wolf now.
Her howl was filled with the past, reminding all what had to be sacrificed to obtain such peace and tranquility. Of course, there were still the spontaneous run ins with the humans but everything had been dealt with on that day. So she stood here now, her fur being ruffled by the passing wind almost answering her howl. Her own eyes held the past of her own. She was one of the pups captured by Morgra. She had escaped though, the only one. She had gone without food for days but an eagle who seemed so different from the other putnar (predator) she had seen. He brought her meat almost daily as if he knew something she did not. It probably did and thus what filled her mind now as she looked out across the land.
What had made him so kind as to feed me? Then again, everyone was going mad from what had been happening. she thought. Unless... get a hold of yourself Tida. It's impossible. Tida turned from the open country and headed down the hill, her body sliding down slowly. Once at the bottom she looked up into the sky releasing another howl that seemed to be asking for wolf contact. She had been alone for so long without a run in with another wolf that perhaps it was time for her to find a pack. She would soon and so Tida turned her head and sprinted off into the forests in search of another or maybe a meal to satisfy the burning hunger that was boiling in the pit of her stomach.
A fluffy vanilla colored hare seemed to hop out from the brush, its ears pricked forward in an attempt to hear the surroundings around it. Tida crouched low, unmoving, her gaze frozen and hard, fixated on the creature. Its head swiveled around, its nose twitching at the slightest sound. Tida could almost feel its heartbeat through her paws, running up her long pillars into her mind. She liked her chops, saliva dripping from her fangs now. Hunger took over as her pupils dilated and she launched her physique at the small creature, dagger like claws extended out. The hare leaped in terror away as Tida scrambled after it. Her appendage kept her balanced as she swerved around a tree trunk, the hare only inches from her. She suddenly launched herself once more, enamel digging into the throat of the hare. She bit down hard making sure it was a quick death for the creature. She could remember hunting hares as a pup and had a horrible experience of what she believed to be an illusion. She thought she could see through the eyes of it. Of course she didn't ponder on it for too long but ever since that, she made the kills quick so it wouldn't hurt as much. Tida tore off strips of the carcass, eating happily as her tassel swayed lightly, her mood quite felicitous.
