"Well I did find something that might help you." Said Mikaila as she walked over and sat down next to Kade. She wasn't really sure which to tell him first so she decided to just tell both and hope that she was wrong about at least one thing that she had discovered.

"I found out there are two possible reasons these hunters are gathering together. One is that whenever hunters suspect that a powerful coven might be located somewhere, they'll often gather for what they call a mass hunt. That way it gives them a better chance of finding these vampires and killing them since they're attacking in higher numbers then usually. Also there's a chance that they're hunting something, or rather someone else down."

Mikaila didn't need to say more then that to tell what she meant. That was the best way she could really tell him what she knew, if there was any good way to say it to begin with. In all honesty she didn't think so, but at least she tried to word it so it didn't sound as bad as it really was. Not that she was playing anything off by any means because this was deadly serious. If she were caught by these hunters it could put even Kade in some serious danger, and that was the last thing she wanted. Then again either way they were both in some kind of danger depending on what happened next, but that all depended on what exactly the hunters were after.

Kade nodded a little to her, taking in all that she said and storing the information away in his mind. Both possibilities seemed, well… possible. He couldn’t be too sure about which one would fit in better for the situation. On one hand, the hunter mentioned a coven but on the other they could just as easily be after something else. Why would they attack vampires now before the mass hunt really began? Or was it a warm up? Kade scowled slightly at this thought as he averted his eyes from Mikaila, trying to piece the puzzle together. Something was missing.

“Kacy is determined to get them talking but the chances of it happening are slim,” he said after a moment with a shake of his head. “I don’t know if you will be safe here anymore once the hunt starts. Tomorrow night we will take you to a safe place away from here,” he decided, turning his head a little to look at her. There was not much time left before sunrise, he wouldn’t be able to see her to safety with her guards and have enough time to return. As much as he hated waiting, he would need to let the time pass until the following sunset.

Hearing him say that getting those hunters to talk was a slim chance didn't surprise Mikaila all that much. She knew for a fact that hunters, even faced with possibly getting killed, wouldn't divulge anything to any vampire. That's the kind of code they lived by, and not only that but giving things away to vampires was equal to betrayal and that almost always resulted in a death sentence anyway. So in the bigger scheme of things, Mikaila knew all to well that most hunters would rather die fighting then end up being executed for something like betrayal.

"Well, then I guess for now the only thing I can do is lay low and keep myself out of trouble." She said, and at least during the daylight hours that was a little easier. Still she wouldn't lie and say she wasn't worried over the situation. This whole mass hunt thing had her uneasy, especially considering that it might be the coven to which Kade and Kacy belonged that could be the target. She didn't like that thought one bit, but all she could do was hope that she was way off on that suspicioun. Still she knew the two of them could handle the hunters, but that wouldn't stop her from wondering what kind of outcome this could have once the fights broke out.

Kade nodded to her. He was a bit relieved to hear that she wasn't going to try and get mixed up in anything that was about to take place. He really couldn't think of a good way of making sure she wasn't killed during a fight while also fighting for his coven. At least he had a suspicion that that was really what this was about. He was beginning to doubt that Mikaila would be in any form of danger unless she directly involved herself in it. After all... Would they truly send this many hunters after her? He knew that she could take care of herself, he had seen her do this very same thing on several separate occasions, but a whole army of hunters... It just didn't make sense. If they were after anyone it was a vampire or the entire coven. He had to get back and set out a warning.

And so he stood, turning to Mikaila to offer her what he hoped was a reassuring smile. "I will be back at dusk, be ready to go by then," he told her, leaning down to give her a kiss before he straightened up again. With that he was gone once more, heading back to mansion and inside just as the first rays of the sun broke past the horizon, rising over the roofs of the town and the trees of the forest. There was no time to waste, preparations had to be made if he was to ensure everyone's safety involved. And his first order of business was speaking with Kacy, and so he headed straight for the library where he knew that he would find her.

For most of the day Mikaila spent most of her time making sure everything was locked down in the house itself before she left that night. She wanted to make it look as deserted as possible so that way no one would even think to come by and investigate. The less lived in she made this place look then there was much less of a chance that any of these hunters would come by and decide to check things out here. The last thing she needed was for someone to figure out she was here, and that would open up a new level of trouble right then and there. Not that she expected anyone she knew to come by here, but she didn't want to take that chance either.

At least none of the hunters came this way except for the usual passerbys that were going about their own routines. Occasionally Mikaila would glance out the window and see a few hunters walking past either talking amongst themselves or looking at pieces of paper they were carrying in their hands. She was guessing those had something to do with whatever they were here for but she didn't dare try and snag one of them for Kade. True she probably could rather easily, but she had promised him she would steer clear of the hunters and not get herself in a dangerous situation. Which in her case was a little hard to do at times but so far nothing seemed to be going amiss. Of course, the same definitely wouldn't be said about what would take place later that night during their escape attempt.

"Okay so far so good, I think I'm set." Mikaila said to herself as she took one last glance around the small house then stuffed a few things inside a small bag she kept on hand for things like this. After she had gone over everything she had again and again in her mind, she turned off any and every light inside the house just as sunset hit the city. Not only would the darkness of the house make it look unoccupied, but it would also make it easier for her and Kade to get out and away without being seen. So it served a dual purpose either way, and now the only thing she could do after that was wait for Kade to show up.

Kade spent a good part of the day in the library with his sister, going over various plans and attempting to figure out the best way to approach the situation. The last time something of this magnitude had hit he wasn't old enough to really understand what was happening and he was doing his best to remember exactly just what had happened on that occasion. He didn't retire to rest that day. By the time the evening came around he was speaking with several other vampires of the situation and planning out what they were going to do about this new threat. Mikaila's guard had been alerted as well with the details of when the transfer was going to take place to get her to safety.

As the sun began to set he disappeared into his room for a short while, awaiting until the last remains of the sunlight disappeared beyond the horizon. It was only about a half hour past this when Kade arrived at Mikaila's house and this time he was joined by Kacy who, upon their arrival, immediately crossed over to take a look out of the window. Though she was not looking at the streets but rather the rooftops.

"Two minutes," she spoke quietly and Kade nodded to her before pausing to look around. The place looked as if it hadn't been lived in in a while. For a moment he wondered if they had the right house but then he spotted the fact that the furniture was still the same. Mikaila must have done a good job cleaning up for her departure.

Because she wasn't exactly expecting the two of them to just appear without letting her know it was them, Mikaila almost went into defense mode when she walked into the room. However when she noticed it was just Kade, and that Kacy was with him, she felt some serious relief and quickly caught herself before doing something crazy.

"You know I don't think I'm ever going to get use to the way you sneak up on me like that." Said Mikaila but at the same time she kept her voice lower then usually. True there was very little, if any, of a chance that anyone would be near enough to hear them she didn't want to take that chance just yet. At least this way she knew for a fact that no one would hear the conversation if anyone was by chance close enough to hear anything. At least that's what she was going for anyway.
Overall it looked as if she'd had no trouble keeping herself out of the hunter's radar, at least if the state of her house was any proof of that. She did know how to be sneaky when the occasion called for it, and this would certainly be one of those moments. However making the house look empty was the easy part, but the sneaking out was going to be even more difficult of that she was almost sure.

Kacy managed a smile to the girl but Kade had none to give at the moment. He was more focused on his small mental clock that began counting down the time until it would be the safest for them to travel. They would have to move quickly. "We spotted a few hunters on the way here," he told Mikaila. His own voice, much like Kacy and Mikaila's, was quieter than usual so as to not be overheard. He was keeping track of all of his senses to ensure that none of the hunters would get too close to their current position, smelling the air for any of their blood.

"The transfer will be done as quickly as we are able to. You'll be safe until all of this is over," Kacy spoke quietly as she walked away from the window and over to the other two, looking between Mikaila and her brother. For a moment she appeared as if she wanted to tell him something but the words never left her mouth. Despite this, as she looked imploringly at Kade, he glanced over to her and gave her a nod of his head and she turned towards Mikaila. "Are you ready to go?" she asked the girl. "You don't have to worry about food, it will all be taken care of for you. You'll just want clothes and the necessities."

"Well unless something's holding us up then I'm ready to get out of here." Mikaila answered as she grabbed her bag that she had hidden nearby earlier. She'd only gotten what she thought she might need for the time being, which wasn't much thankfully and all of it had fit without much trouble. So that was less for her to worry about and would make it easier to stay hidden. Not only that but if she could remember the few tricks she had learned, then travelling in the dark wouldn't be to much of a problem for her.

However, what none of them realized was that somehow at that moment the house was being watched. On a nearby rooftop was two hunters, a man and a woman, and they were laying low to avoid being spotted by anyone while the man watched the house through a pair of binoculars.
"Looks like they're getting ready to make a break for it." He said to his partner as he continued observing the house.

"Alright, everyone's in place so if things go accordingly we should be able to intercept them with little trouble." The woman responded as she to glanced over at the dark house, while at the same time acting as the lookout in case any other vampires were around in the area. The last thing they needed was to get caught now, especially since it had taken days to get this plan right. The elders wanted Kade and his sister alive at all costs, but as for the girl she was fair game. If she ended up dead in this raid then that was of no consequence, she would have been killed anyway had the elders gotten their hands on her so she was something they didn't need to worry about. They had bigger targets to get, and whatever got in their way would be dealt with the same way as every time before.

Kade was unusually quiet as he picked up on faint talking not too far away from the house but he wasn’t able to distinguish the words. Perhaps someone passing by. He couldn’t take a chance, though, and so he pulled the two women away from the sight of windows without as much as a word for explanation. About a minute left, they needed to wait it out until the guard was in position. With that thought in mind he turned to Mikaila.

“Kacy will be with you the entire way. I will be acting as a decoy in case we are followed. You guard is almost in position to assist your way and get rid of any hunters who might try to intervene,” he told her quietly still while Kacy looked apprehensively around. Kade placed a hand lightly on her shoulder in reassurance. He knew that his sister was worried about the possibility of an attack but also was quite sure that they would be able to ward off any such attempts. They had done it before.

After that there wasn't much in the way of conversation between the three. Instead most of the focus was getting out and under some kind of cover before they could be spotted by any chance, which wasn't difficult considering it was almost pitch black outside.

"For once I'm seriously thankful there's no moon out." Mikaila thought to herself as she and Kacy headed in a completely different direction from Kade. True she knew it was just a decoy thing in case anyone decided to try and attack, but Mikaila still didn't like the fact of him acting like a moving target. Okay so yes she knew he could look out for himself and she really had no reason to worry, but that didn't stop a small nagging feeling from biting at the back of her mind.
However, what actually caught her attention was the fact that even as they moved further from the house Mikaila could not shake the feeling that they were being followed. Not only that but the sinking suspicioun of something being very wrong would not leave her alone for a second. Her first instinct was to stop and try to figure out what was causing it, but she knew that would be stupid in every sense of the word. So instead she kept moving but that didn't stop her from keeping her eyes on anything and everything around them.

Kade took off in a different direction than Mikaila and his sister. He could tell there were hunters in the area, whether anything was going to down tonight was another question. One that was answered only a few minutes when he noticed a few of them disappeared off his radar completely while several more set chase for him. Growling, Kade’s eyes narrowed as he ducked into an alleyway. He was sure that the two women could handle themselves but couldn’t help the bit of worry that arose at the thought of them having to fight their way out of a cluster of hunters. If either of them got hurt he would not rest until those responsible were dead. The only bit of comfort he felt for the situation was that Kacy and Mikaila were flanked on either side by the four vampire guards.

And so it started, Kade heard the first two of the hunters coming by, weapons in hand. Kade let them run past, quickly checking that the coast was clear before he followed up after them, grabbing each by the collar of their coat and pushing off of the ground to bring all three of them into the air, chucking the two over the nearest roof and to a small street on the other side. He didn’t much care if they lived through it. If they did, they would surely return and he could finish them off. Instead he retreated once again to wait for the others to catch up.

Meanwhile Kacy had taken a hold of Mikaila’s hand as the two traveled in their own direction, keeping a look out. She never slowed down but the path that they were traveling in was a jagged one, unpredictable and easy to lose. “Don’t look back,” she told Mikaila in a voice that was nearly a whisper. “There are hunters behind us. We have back up if we should need it,” she said. Whatever was happening, neither Kade nor his sister had any idea whether the hunters were after them or Mikaila but in either scenario they were ready to fight.

"I know I can hear them." Mikaila whispered back as she ran next to Kacy. She could hear the rustling behind them as the hunters tried to keep up with them, but she was almost sure she heard a few muffled shouts and yells of shock when one or more of the guards took down a few of the hunters. That alone would have caused a rather smug smirk to appear on Mikaila's face but she didn't let herself have the opportunity. Right now she was more focused on getting clear of these hunters, but the bad thing was that she knew once they went after a target they rarely gave up without a reason.

Thankfully, it seemed they finally managed to loose most of the hunters giving both women a chance to at least get their bearings before taking off again. While Kacy was busy with deciding the best way to go while avoiding the hunters, Mikaila played the lookout since even their guards couldn't keep their eyes on everything. Not only that but even though the vampires were in a sense protecting her, she wanted to at least return the favor in some sort of way. So with that in mind she kept close to Kacy while keeping her hand close to the gun she had strapped to her thigh. Yes she brought at least one of them with her for emergency purposes, more specifically if any hunters managed to find a way to sneak through the four guards.

"Hmm.....what was that?" Mikaila thought to herself as a noise caught her hearing, something that sounded like footsteps and a soft clicking sound. It had come from closer to Kacy's direction, and almost immediately with those factors the purple-haired woman quickly figured out what it was.

"Kacy get down!" She almost yelled as she moved to push Kacy to the ground before she could get hit, and only seconds before the two women hit the ground the sound of some kind of gunfire blasted over them. From a first look it would seem both had managed to avoid the sudden rain of bullets, but when Mikaila didn't move from where she was almost on top of Kacy that was a sure sign that something had gone horribly wrong. Mikaila had ended up getting hit at least three times right in the back, and already her blood was beginning to stain her clothing making it easy for any vampire to smell it and know something had happened.

"Well well well, looks like we hit something." Sneered a voice that was soon followed by at least two hunters as they stepped into Kacy's line of sight. Both had their guns aimed at the two women, and it was all to obvious that one of them was responsible for what had just taken place. However, how they managed to sneak past the guards was anyone's guess. Although from the looks of it they had come in from in front of the group, which was where they all least expected any hunters to come from.
