There are two hidden worlds coexisting alongside our own. One is right before our eyes, hiding in plain sight. This world is inhabited by magic and monsters, fantastical beings and creatures that most people think exist only in legend and imagination, creatures and beings known as the Fae. The other world is a place of darkness and fear, a perpetually dark wasteland hidden between day and night, between life and death, between heaven and hell. This place is called The Shadowland, and only the creatures hidden in our reality know about it.
But the borders between The Shadowland and our realm are weakening, wearing thinner and thinner each day. What is causing this? What will happen when The Shadowland merges with our world? That, not even the Fae know. But they don't want to find out. Something must be done before the darkness consumes our world.
Now, before The Shadowland is unleashed upon us, you must create and take control of a Fae character to discover the secret of these events and how to stop them. Perhaps you will even have to enter the darkness yourself. Along the way, you will face opposition from the ignorant humans, your own uncooperative Fae brethren, and the dark forces and aberrations spat out from The Shadowland itself. But you must persevere, before our world is doomed.
Playable Fae Races:
-Elf: Human-like beings distinguished by their elongated ears, highly skilled in magic and navigation. Native to Europe. Elves often infiltrate human society by wearing hats or hoods to cover their ears, the only detail that gives away their true race.
-Jorogumo: Spider people found throughout Asia, South America, and East India. They are basically humans with exoskeletons instead of skin and four eyes from the waist up and giant spiders from the waist down. They can attack with balls and streams of stinging webbing, and make excellent spies and assassins.
-Kitsune: A race of fox people adept at creating illusions and controlling fire and heat native to Asia, particularly China and Japan. They prefer to trick their foes rather than fight them head on, and are a female-dominated society (mainly because there don't seem to be many males of the species). They look like anthropomorphic foxes wearing intricately woven robes and cloaks.
-Tiparion: Cat people who are found worldwide, mostly in deep jungles and rainforests. With their keen senses and great strength and grace they are naturally adept hunters and trackers, although they are also naturally curious, leading some to live peacefully learning about the world around them rather than fight. They look like the typical anime "nekos", only with more pronounced claws and fangs, wearing tribal garb made of animal hides and plant material like leaves and tree bark.
-Centrioth: We've had cute little kitties, vixens, and elves and some giant spiders. So what are these things? Centrioths are octopus-like creatures with great intelligence and telepathic powers. They can communicate with other beings via thought, can move and manipulate objects without even touching them, and can control less intelligent creatures to do their bidding. They need all these powers because physically, they're basically just disembodied brains that crawl around using their six tendril-like arms. They live worldwide in caves, bodies of water, and treetops. Come on, somebody be brave and play as a Centrioth. If nothing else, your character is guaranteed to be unique.
The rules are the typical forum rules; be nice, watch your language, ect. One character per player. Here's the fill-out:
