Physical Qualities
The Khral are close to a humanoid raptor. They're covered in a thick hide, and have long, feather-tipped, tails. Females tend to be strong, tall, built for traversing the landscapes of Acer Lagoon. Khral males are normally short and stocky, built more for wielding magic and traversing the cave-worlds of Acer Lagoon.
The females typically reach up to 8 feet tall and weight a surprising 350 pound average; while the males barely hit 6.5 feet tall and still hit the 300 pound mark. Most Khral are adorned with feathers sprouting out of their joints, spine, head, and tail. They will, normally, have a longer snout and taloned claws at the ends of their fingers and toes.
Eye color ranges from copper and amber, to crimson and black. Skin tones can be dark as hardened lava, or as bright as free flowing magma.
The Khral are a fast maturing race, but a fairly slow dying one. The typical life span normally reaches nearly 200 years old. Though, they reach adulthood at the age of 13.
Playing a Khral
The Matriarchy is what the Khral live and die for. To them, nothing is more important to the High-Mother. Her, and her council decide what is best for the entire race. No Khral has ever strayed far from this path without a swift, and brutal death.
Khral dislike anything that would dishonor the land, the High-Mother, and the forces beyond. To punish those that do such injustice, they will follow no law but their own.
Khral have the utmost hatred for Tieflings. As they have done nothing but ravage the Khral homeland. It is Acer Lagoon where the Khral rose from the waters below, and they will do everything to make sure all Tieflings will suffer for their deeds.
From birth, Khral are expected to be perfect in everything they do. They are hatched in magma pools. Those that don't survive the hatching process are left to burn away. Those that do, are immediately brought to the surface and bathed in the ocean. This process is called the 'Hardening'. Even this could kill the young Khral, causing their scaly hide to crack off of them.
The survival of this will lead them to training and schooling for 13 years, until their coming of age. From then on, they will have the sole purpose of upholding the will of the High-Mother.

Khral Adventures:
Four sample Khral adventurers are described below.
Khanan is a Khral sorcerer. He travels the lands in search of new magics to bring back to Vox Melor. He finds his inner power in returning to his home with new discoveries to share with his kin. He takes pride in his ability to strike down enemies where they stand, with only the small flick of a wrist.
Sanaar is a Khral rogue. She finds herself doing the High-Mother's dirty work. She hunts the outskirts of the blasted lands looking for any Khaon trash. She often follows their caravans for days on end, only to end their travel in a swift merciless slaughter at night.
Gavvik is a Khral warlock. He defends the blasted lands with his twisted grasp on magic. Those foolish enough to enter his range on a good day, will end up slowly dying as he practices his various abilities on their defenseless soul.
