So, this is the pagemaster. You can call me Miles though... I like that. :] Anywhoo, I've been roleplaying for a while now, probably about 9ish years. Pay no attention to the date on my profile, that was really just a rough estimate, I don't really have an 'rp-versary'. I've always liked things BIG. Big stories, big fun, big creativity, big... you know... everything. :] I first started roleplaying on "The Keep", haven't been there in AGES though. After a while I moved over to Myspace rp, but now, since myspace is making all of it's weird changes that make my laptop run EXTREMELY slow, I've decided to take my creative noodle elsewhere. I love music and I'm familiar with alot of different universes. Some of my favorites include:
Heavy Fantasy [Fairies, talking animals, unicorns!]
Crime [Come on, who hasn't seen goodfellas? The godfather?! yo]
Marvel/DC [Because you can't beat a little batman vrs wolverine gaming can you?]
Sci-Fi [Ghosts, aliens, ALICE IN WONDERLAND WITH FLYING FLAMINGO SKYBIKE THINGIES!]
Epic Adventure [Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, 300 are all words that will get my engines reving.]

In other artistic areas, I enjoy editing and manipulating pictures. I'm pretty decent at it as is, but I'm constantly learning new things to do with Adobe photoshop 7.0.

It's co-owned by a good friend of mine, but I'm the one that edits all the pictures. :] Any help that can be offered on that particular subject is appriciated and expect questions if you tell me you have experience with it. I look forward to exploring Windows Movie Maker as well, but as of right now, that one is a dud.

On a final note, I would like to let anyone who read this intro and has fallen maddly in love with me to know, that I am, out of character, in a serious heterosexual relationship. November 9th we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary and we are going to be together FOREVER. :] I understand your sudden jealousy, but please, refrain from rude comments about my mate, even if he deserves it, I'll be the one to slap him around, not your responsibility. Seriously though, I'd fall in love with me from reading this. :]

Welcome, welcome Pagemaster! It's great to have such an ambitious-sounding writer joining our ranks here at RolePlayGateway. The nice thing about the website here is that the community is so large and varied, that I have little doubt you'll find the players you need for the large, epic projects that you're talking about. I could even give you some names of folks that would be good to have backing you on an RP.

Crime, Sci-fi, Marvel, eh? If I may suggest something, go up to the Roleplay tab and then click Manage Your Filters. From there you have the (lovely) option of adding tags to your search engine. It actually highlights all the roleplays that are relevant to your interests (add tags like Crime, Sci-fi etc) and then weeds out what you don't want to see. It's a neat little thing, to be honest. Poke around with it! Have some fun!

LOL. I'm glad you included that bit about your relationship. Because, you never know who can read what and then fell madly in love. I understand. I'm that awesome, too.

Okay so.... How do I send a private message to someone? When I go to 'compose message' It shows me this:

Am I missing something?! I added 'Draruto' as a friend, no links leading to messages on the profile though. Checked the 'Frequently Asked Questions' and it mentioned staff members blocking me yadda yadda yadda, then I checked 'Mryin's Guid to Roleplaygateway' and on the mention of private messages, all it really said was to click 'add' or else the message won't make it through, and I don't have the slightest idea where the 'Find Member' area is. -headdesk- What am I doing wrong? Please halp I will love you forever!

Since Sato (Vicecersus) is a little tied up at the moment I hope you don't mind loving me forever.

Basically as a counter-measure against robots seeking to spam RPG (not saying that you are one, robots tend to make horrible conversationalists unlike you =3.) we've made it so that you have to make at least 10 forum posts before the private message function is enabled. As for areas were you could make said forum posts, given your background in art, input in the creator's realm would be right up your alleyway.

So again, sorry that you fell in love with me forever rather than Sato (ViceVersus) but I hoped that answered your question! I look forward to seeing you around.

Aaa-aanyways, here I am again. Sorry I didn't get to answer your question right away, but Lodnir was there for me, in a way. The 10-forum posts is a precaution that we take. I could give you a list of topics that'll get you up to that level real quick -- and trust me, it's not quite as difficult as it seems. Once you start joining RPs and participating in board discussions, you'll watch that number skyrocket.
