Naraku was defeated. The BoneEater's Well dissapeared for three days, then reappeared. With no purpose left in the feudal era, Kagome left to go back to her own time. She didn't come back for three years, during which Sango and Miroku had three children, Shippo began training to be full-fledged demon, and Inuyasha went back to the well every three days to see if his love had returned.

When Kagome returned, she married Inuyasha, and the gang lived happily everafter. Or so it seems.


Everyone thought that Naraku was evil, but what about Onigumo, his former self? It was rumoured that Onigumo loved a woman, and had a child by her. This child was a girl, and disgraced Onigumo, for his wife died in childbirth and he was stuck with a daughter. This is what drove him to thievery, and eventually letting the demons manifest his body and become Naraku. His daughter saw this; knew this; she saw the power that her late father contracted, deciding that she could do better than him. And so, Minkani, daughter of Onigumo and Naraku, half-demon also because her mother was a demon, set out to rule all of Japan, and later the world.

So, our heroes are old and decaying, and no one can stop Minkani. But-- what about the descendants of our beloved heroes? What about their children?

Ryani sighed, standing atop the hill that was the village that their family resided in. Just thinking about her mother, Kagome, made her blood boil with an insatiable thirst for revenge. She could thank her father for that trait. She could picture the scene now.

Kagome lay in her bed blood already soaking through the bandages around her torso.
" It's fine, really, I just-- " Ryani's mother paused to cough up blood.
" Kagome, don't pretend. It just makes it worse..... " Inuyasha said almost carelessly, though Ryani could hear the slight choke in his voice; her father never cried. Ever. Except now....
" I'm going to find her. I swear, Mom, I'm gonna kill the wretch who did this-- "
" No, Ryani, I don't want you out there. You're not going. " Kagome replied adamantly, pausing again to cough up blood.
" But I-- "
" Kagome, let her go. It's about time she got out of the house. "
" But she's too young--"
" She's just as old as you were when you came to this time. "
" I... I suppose your right... " Kagome had broken into tears, and Inuyasha ushered Ryani out of the room and spoke to her.
" Think you can kill that dirty conniving little-- "
" Yeah. I'm out for blood, Dad. "
" Be careful, Cat. " A pet name often used by her father, even though Ryani was a quarter dog demon. He pated her on the head fondly.
The memory ended, and Ryani was still atop the hill, with the legendary Tetsusaiga on her back and wearing the robe of the fire rat. Somehow, little Gin had wormed his way into coming too, and he stood behind her, Ryani turned, and spoke two words.
" Let's go. "

A dark place, practically crawling with demons of every sort.
A hooded figure sat on a throne of darkness, encircled by a purple barrier.
" Your Evilness, " a demon hissed and bowed.
" Nagua. Report. " A voice issued from beneath the cloak, a stern voice.
" They have left, my Queen. " The serpent-like being bowed again.
" Good. " The figure threw back its head and laughed, revealing a porcelain face and perect nose, mouth, ectetera. Dark, short hair framed the pale face. And eyes-- horrible, probing, powerful bloodred eyes looked on into the night,.

Severus sighed walking into the forest,, he was young in dmon years, even Inuyaha when he was little started fighting when he was ATLEAST 100, he wasn't even 50 yet.....stil a pup in his fathers eyes, a runt of a half breed without even ears to back myself up. He was currently sitting in a tree, praticing the only move his father taught, and will ever teach him, poisen claws. His father back at the castle, cannot watch his and his mother, who died at birth, was only watching him at death's will. He attacked the tee and sighed as his claws only blinks and the trees just had plan claw marks. He sighed fallign agaist the trunk of the tree.

Kiya smirked a bit, as she watched another half demon slice at a tree. She sniffed the air lightly and her smirk would only grow wider. " So... this is My Lord Sesshomaru's son?" She said speaking up so he could hear her. She jumped out of the tree and landed gracefully behind him, brushing a hand through her long brunette hair. "Part of me is jealous..." she commented to herself. Sighing deeply she looked the half demon over with emerald hues. "You don't appear to have much similarity to Sesshomaru... probably more like your mother then I assume..."

Severus' tail perked up to the voice and hissed turning gracefully around pulling up the hem of his kimono. "Who are you?" He asked calmly checking to see if his hair was in perfect order. He would go home since it was gettign dark but his father ORDERED him to see the world...heh...I'm the demon prince. But.... I was weak...in everyone's eyes, because I was a Half breed, and the runt out of the little. He held the hilt of his Syth incase of an attack from the demon.

"I don't wanna go. Who died and made you the boss?" Said Gin sourly, "I go when I wanna go, got that?" He glared at his sister and sulk. He was about to go, but since his sister told him to do it, there's no way in hell that he would listen. He sat down and leaned against a tree trunk and stared at his sister defiantly.

" Well, no one's died yet, but if we don't get going, Mom will. I suppose you want that, huh? Besides, Dad only let you go because I was in charge. I'll just leave you here if you're not going. " Ryani snapped back at her brother. He could be so childish sometimes.

Ryani shot off along the path, using the running technique taught to her by Inuyasha. A few people pointed, whispering that the hanyou Inuyasha was back in business. Her expression hardened at this; she hated being compared to her father. Being quarter-demon wasn't nearly as good as being a half-demon; and Ryani was secretly a little jealous of her father's power. But she had long ago promised to make a name for herself, and her stubbornness wasn't going to let her give it up.

Ryani stopped along the path, looking back to see if her runt of a brother would follow. Knowin him, he probably would.

It was... familiar? Comforting? Boring? Nice? That was it. It was quite nice, Gachanni decided, to be back in her old forest again. She hadn't been back to this part of the country in years, not since that giant worm she had ridden and killed. She smiled as she ran, remembering. That had been a good fight. She's been sore for months after the worm was done, but ultimately, she'd come out on top. She began to hum a bright little song she had made up, all the while searching for any sign of her childhood playmates.

Suddenly- There! A scent! Gachanni stopped on a dime, took a deep breath, and shot after the scent like a bullet. It barely played on the edgest of her memory, but it was still familiar to her. It reminded her of learning. Of first proving her skills in battle, not against an enemy, but against a friend who wanted the same thing. This scent was most definentely comforting. It relieved some of her stress. She had been woried that her friend would have journeyed away already. Ryani had always had a bit of a quick temper.

As Ryani's scent became stronger, Gachanni slowed and with an impish grin she leapt into the trees, picking as silently as she could through them. It was no time as all until she stopped, peering cautiously over the edge of a thick branch at her old friend. Hm, Ryani looked different; older and more tired than Gachanni remembered. Her smirked widened. Well, if one of her best friends was looking older than her years, she obviously needed a little more fun in her life...

With a squeal of delight, Gachanni dropped from the trees at Ryani, intent on tackling her.

" Gachanni!! I thought I smelled something rotten, " Ryani laughed and sidestepped her old friend.
" Hey, so how've you been? And Shippo, that old coot? I just remembered... last time I saw you, gosh we were.... we were, like, 10!!! " She laughed harder and leaped onto a tree branch.

Gachanni and Ryani had been pals from the start.

Gachanni pouted for about a second as her friend stepped out of the way so easily, but she was quickly overcome by the excitement of the reunion. She laughed out loud and stood, planting her hands on her hips. "You were ten. I was about twelve. Anyway, dad's doing fine the last I heard. He and mom are snuggled up somwhere up north. And I have been fantastic! Do you have any clue how many boys there are in Japan? And how hot most of them are??" She paused to give a mock swoon and leapt, giggling the whole way, onto Ryani's branch. "Anyway, how's Inuyasha and your mama? I'm surprised they're letting you out alone. I'd heard there was some trouble around here, some ghost of Naraku's, though I didn't really believe that. Aren't you heading out with your parents? Where are they?"

She looked at him tilting her head a bit, " My name is Kiya-Sama Era the second heir to the Era Clan that was once ruled by my father Makaneto Era." She would say that quite proudly feeling that her own royal roots were grand. Her tail swished gently as she watched the other hanyou carefully as he drew his weapon. She had no intention on fighting him, she just wanted to figure out a little about him.

Ryani nodded through most of the talk with laughter, especially Gachanni's comment about boys. But the questions that came after were painful. Ryani became silent for a while, but then spoke in a decidedly somber tone.

" There is trouble, Gachanni. Turns out, Naraku had a daughter. She led an attack on the village, " Ryani paused to let this sink in, and watched the grin diminish from her friend's pale visage. " And.... and, Mom and Dad went out to fight the demons, and..... and Mom got hurt, really bad, and we don't know how long... how much time left..... " She bit her lip to keep from crying. Demons didn't cry. Warriors didn't cry. But humans did, and Ryani was three-fourths human. A single tear escaped. " But, the point is, my mom is.... is dying, and I'm going to brutally murder that son-of-a-bitch who did this the second I lay eyes on her. " Her voice rang with a bitter conviction, but then added softly, " I promised. "

Gachanni could barely contain her horror. She did not have many memories of Kagome, but the ones she did have were of a gentle, kind woman who loved her as though she were part of her family. And she had loved Ryani and her brother more than anything else in the world. Most of all though, Kagome had been strong. Any one or anything that could wound her that badly must have been even stronger. Her eyebrows drew together and she felt her ears droop. "I should have been here. I should have come back sooner," she mumbled. Ryani didn't cry, never, and the sight of the tear was wrong. Anyone who put it there deserved to die. Gachanni promptly shook off the gloom and guilt that had settled over her. "I'll be there next time though," she said firmly. "I'm with you, Ryani. It's about time I did something really useful."

"hmpf" Snorted Severus un amazed then his tail twitched as he smelt humans, wait...not humans,but very close. Dog, dog, fox. His mind answered he turned and said to the demon "This Severus has gotta go!" He had gotten that from his faher, bad habit that he couldn't stop. He turned and ran off as a blur of black and pink towards the scents.

" You couldn't have been there. It was completely unexpected. " Ryani said firmly, " And thanks. I know you'll be there. It's just that mutt of a brother of mine. Gin wormed his way into coming, and he's being a little.... ugh. " Ryani sighed, angrily wiping away the tear that had tracked down her face. But Minkani would pay. She would pay dearly. Ryani gripped the handle of Tetsusaiga just thinking about it.

Suddenly, a new scent filled Ryani's nostrils. A dog demon, like her, but.... half-demon. She had only smelled anything like it once before.
" Se.... Sesshomaru? " Her eyebrows knit together in confusion. Sesshomaru would never come this way. But then, a blur of black and pink shot by, and Ryani nearly fell off the tree branch.

" Who are you and what do you want here? " Ryani's golden eyes narrowed, and her black dog ears stood up suddenly. She had black hair like her mother, though. She drew Tetsusaiga and watched as it transformed. Her father's red kimono looked a little big on her. But still, the quarter-demon was an imposing figure.
" Answer me. "

Gachanni wrinkled her nose, confused by the scent. It certainly smelled of Sesshomaru, hut there was no way it could be him, not around these parts. Either way, she stood and gripped her staff tightly. "Come on, stranger," she said, her eyes narrow and scanning the trees. "We don't bite... well, Ryani doesn't." She flashed her pointed canines.

Severus got a better looked and grinned, though he only saw his cousin when he was a baby didn't mean he didn't know this was her. "Well dear Ryani, Bravo, in scaring no enimies away. What are you doing away from uncle and aunt? surely that wouldn't put a quarter demon to 'save the world'" said Severus is was true ina mean way, but yeah, he never was nice,lieing, an dseet was he? He was spawned of Shesshomau.

" Hey, I bite too... your just lucky you have sharp teeth. And claws," Ryani said humourously, baring human teeth and showing regular nails. The two things of her father's that had escaped her gene pool.

" At least I have Tetsusaiga, though. But anyways. Who are you, and how are you associated with Sesshomaru? " Ryani asked, now certain that the stranger was associated with her full-demon uncle.

The Tetsusaiga rested on her shoulder. Ryani's golden eyes narrowed even more, waiting for a reply from the stranger. He had claws... and a tail. So.... what if he was Sesshomaru's son? No. Impossible. She couldn't imagine Sesshomaru falling in love. Ever.

"And why do your manners suck so hard?" Gachanni threw in. She sat back down on the branch, though she kept her staff in her hand. Her tail twitched back and forth restlessly. Anything of Sesshomaru's was usually trouble after all.

"well this Severus was never taught anything by father Sesshomaru, and I'm Severus song Of Sesshomaru, Son of human girl, now deseased." He said automatically, he had been saying that all his life.he strapped hsi Syt to his back leanng against a tree his tail wrapped around his waist like a belt, once he grows up, he probably would have a tail as long as the boa/tail thing on his father's shoulders.

Gachanni frowned. "Eww," she mumbled under her breath. "Someone actually did it with Sesshomaru." This thought, of course, made her giggle. She looked up at Ryani. "Hey, doesn't that make you two related? You don't know him at all?"
