Liam Camble walked into the school, his bag on his shoulder, his hands thrust deep into his pockets. He was followed by a small collection of his friends; more joined them as they walked through the main hall, detaching themselves from other groups to join his.

He approached his locker, spun the combination, and flung it open so hard that it hit into the one next to it with a deafening crash, making the little girl who owned it jump out of her skin. He turned to her, looking at her as if to say 'Yeah, and?' and then returned his attention to the content of his locker, a smirk on his face. Having sorted his books out, he closed and locked his locker, and turned around to lean against it, laughing and joking with his friends while they waited for the bell to ring so they could go into Form. A geek in glasses walked up, trying not to look at the menacing group in an attempt to get by them without being noticed. But, as always, this attracted more attention to them, and the gang spat insults at him until he was well out of sight.

Liam looked up as the doors of the main entrance opened, and saw Hayley Fisher and Luke Taylor walk in. His eyes narrowed, and his lips curled up into a snarl as he nodded in their direction, calling eyes of all kinds to her face, in particular. "Lookie, lookie," he muttered, a cold smile on his face. "If it isn't Mr. Bisexual and his in-tow whore."

Liam smirked at Hayley's response, trying to hide the fact that her slap had actually really hurt him, and his face was stinging madly where her hand had connected with it. Motioning for his friends to follow him, he walked into form and approached Hayley again. "I'll call you a whore whenever I want, babes, because we both know that all I have to do is say the word and you'll come running." His friends burst into laughter, but Liam satisfied himself by expressing his amusement with a smirk, and walked away, winking at Luke as he passed. He jumped up to sit on his desk, which was directly across the room from Hayley's, and continued to make fun of the geek in glasses, something he knew would irritate her to no end.

Hayley Sat impatiently at her desk Smiling sweetly at luke trying not to stalk off across hte classroom and punch liam in hte face. She looked at him laughing at some poor nerdy kid who didn't deserve his treatment, she and Liam had hated each other for years and yet she kept looking at him, watching him.

Luke looked at Hayley Who sat next to him, He loved everyhting about her, her sweet smile, her soft skin, her bubbly giggle. There was just one problem, She was looking at liam, her worst enemy, watching him tease a nerd in glasses.

Liam looked up to see Hayley watching him, a slightly dreamy expression on her face. His brow furrowed. "Hey!" he called to her, his frown disappearing as his eyebrows arched in amusement at Luke's irked expression. "Take a picture, it'll last longer. What are you doing, anyway? Imagining me saying the word?" He chuckled darkly. "It'll never happen, love. Sorry to disappoint." The whole class burst into laughter this time, but Liam's amusement didn't last long. While he'd been gloating, he'd caught Hayley's eyes - really caught them - and had, for whatever reason, become lost in their depths. He shook his head, trying to clear the image of his lips against hers from his mind, and turned his attention to Luke, who was giving him immensly dirty looks. "Cool your jets, baby," he laughed sarcastically. "I'm not after you're girlfriend, even if she's after me." The whole class, once again, started laughing, jeering at Luke, but, to his immense disappointment, Liam didn't gain the satisfaction he was used to at seeing him squirm.

Hayley dragged her attention away from liam her cheeks a deep red, "I'm not his girlfriend" she muttered under her breath hoping luke hadn't heard her. She stared down at her desk hiding behind her Blonde hair listening to the jeers of the class around her.

Luke Glared at Liam before turning to look at Hayley, He decided He Would definatly ask her out some time this week, He continually mentally questioned himself, What would he do? What should he say? What if she said no? What If She Said Yes??

Liam was sat in Art, one of his favourite classes, watching with a slight smirk on his face as Hayley and Luke walked in. Hayley. Hmm... The teacher called his attention away from her - or, more to the point, her lips - as he started to explain the work. Nodding, Liam dropped his gaze to the sketchbook infront of him and began to sketch out his still-life, which consisted of a bowl of fruit.

Every now and then, he would look up to meet Hayley's gaze, but then drop it again almost instantly. Why he couldn't stop thinking about kissing her, he didn't know, but it was starting to do his head in. He'd hated her for years - that fact didn't have the right to decide to change now. He looked up again, this time at Luke, who had the look of someone preparing to make a speech about why the people should vote for him as president. Liam didn't look away; he was genuinely interested now.

Luke Was sitting next to hayley and was Trying desperatly to string a sensible (preferably english) sentence together, "Uhh... Uhh... Uhm, Hayley I Uhm Don't s..Suppose you'd... Uhh.." Was the best he'd got so far,

Hayley was looking at liam between lukes "umms" and "uhh"s and could see him looking at luke waiting for the punchline, liam started to saunter over and she felt her heart skip a beat.

Liam smirked. He could see exactly what Luke was trying to do; he'd seen countless people do it countless times. And, as always, the girl the guy was trying to get was way too good for him. Without thinking, he stood up from his desk, and started to move.
"Where are you going?"
Liam looked down at his friend - Mark, was it? - and smirked. "Gonna put the poor sod out of his misery, aren't I?" Grinning, he walked up to where Luke and Hayley were sat, and - carefully avoiding Hayley's gaze - clapped Luke on the shoulder. "C'mon, lad," he chuckled, sitting on the desk infront of the stuttering boy. "Spit it out." Turning to Hayley, and finally looking her in the eye, he forced himself to continue his charade. "He wants you!" He shouted in the same tone you'd use when talking to a five year old. The class giggled. "But, of course, you're not gonna say yes. And if you do, more fool you, 'cause you just know I won't 'say the word' once he's had his hands all over you." He faked a shudder. "Ughh."
"Mister Camble, what do you think you're doing?!"
Liam looked round, laughing, to see the teacher looming over him in what he expected was meant to be an intimidating manner. "What?"
"I'd advise you to sit back down, Mister Camble." the teacher snarled through gritted teeth.
Liam merely laughed. "Whatever." He stood up to make his way back to his seat, his heart hammering in his chest. It didn't usually take this much guts to insult Hayley and her freaky friend.

It took Hayley less than a second to react, As Liam began to make his way back to his seat she stood up and grabbed his shoulder, when Liam turned to see what she wanted she slapped him sharply across his face leaving her hand tingling, wiping the smirk from his face. "Don't you speak about Luke like that," she said quietly yet threateningly, then returned to her work not daring to look at her teacher.

Luke was horrified when liam walked over and said his peice, He stared down at his artwork not looking up until he heard Hayleys palm make contact with liams cheek with a loud crack leading onto more laughter but this time the jokester was the joke,

Liam flinched as Hayley slapped him, and brought his hand up to his face.
"Aw!" one of his friends called. "That's gonna leave a mark, mate!"
Liam turned round to shoot a glare at Mark. "Shut it, you, or you won't be able to speak at all for a fuckin' week!"
"Hayley! What was that?!"
He looked up at the teacher, who looked like steam was about to start pouring out of his ears, and smirked. "That's right, Sir, you tell 'er."
"That's it. Both of you, detention."
Liam's face fell. "What?"
"After school, my office, one hour. Turn up, or I'll have you both suspended."
"Sir, no! She hit me! Completely unprovoked!"
"Don't talk rubbish, Camble," the teacher spat. "Now sit down and shut up or I'll make it two hours."
Glaring at the teacher, Liam walked back to his seat, and pushed his art book away from him. "You think I'm doin' any fuckin' work now, you've had it, you bastard," he muttered darkly. The class was still in laughing hysterics. "And shut it!"

♦♠♣♥ Time Skipping ♥♣♠♦

Hayley was sitting next to liam in detention with their art teacher listening to him tell them what to do for the next hour,"I'm expecting this sheet to be completed before you go or you'll be in again tomorrow, understood?" Hayley and liam both nodded and started the work. After about ten minutes another teacher walked into the office asking if Mr Atwood could come help him Move some art supplies because all the other art teachers had gone home. He politly agreed before warning Liam And Hayley That If They Move So Much As An Inch They'll be back tomorrow.

"Now look what you've done!" Spat Hayley In Liams Direction.

Liam looked at Hayley with a shocked expression, and he spluttered with surprised laughter. "What I've done?! he cried, still chuckling. "All I did was give the lad a helping hand! You, on the other hand. You didn't have to slap me! My intentions were perfectly innocent! It's not like you were gonna say 'yes' anyway." He looked down at his sheet, filling in another two of the questions, and for a moment imagined what that lesson would've been like if he hadn't intervened. He pictured Luke finally asking her out, and Hayley saying yes. He pictured them kissing. And he snapped his pencil in half.

He dragged himself back to reality, and looked round at Hayley, who was watching him with a puzzled expression. He grinned. "See? Inhumanly strong, me." He tossed the halves of his pencil into the bin and took another out of his bag. Leaning back against his chair, he yawned, and glanced sideways at Hayley, who was still watching him. "Uhh... You weren't gonna say yes, were you?" He sat up, trying to keep his amused expression. "Only, I'd hate it if I ruined the poor lad's chance."

Hayley stared at liam as he snapped his pencil with "inhumanly strong" powers and only half heartedly listened to what he had to say reading and rereading the questions on the paper

"What's it to you?" she said rather snappily, filling in a couple of questions. "As if you care about how he feels. Maybe if you had considered him being an actual human being you might not have gotten your red cheek." She sat up and looked at the door to check if the teacher was coming then quietly muttered "sorry," Not sure if she wanted Liam to have actually heard.

Liam looked round at Hayley in amazement as she took off on him. "Okay, okay, chill out, yeah?" he said, laughing as he stood up, and walked round his desk to stand infront of Hayley's, leaning against it. "I don't care about his feelings, I know that. He's no one to me. And he doesn't deserve to be classed as a human being. I mean, he dared to ask you out." He stopped himself, his mouth hanging open. What have I just said?! he asked himself, horrified. But he composed himself quickly, and spoke again. "By the way... Why are you constantly staring at me lately? I was just joking about saying the word, you know." He scoffed. "I wouldn't want to catch anything."

"Oi how dare you, and beside, you're the one staring at me, pervert."

Hayley stood up and slapped Liam where his cheek was still pink from art. She looked into Liams eyes, the same way as before, and she leaned across the table and kissed him, pulling him closer to her, feeling electricity tingle along her spine, their lips moving like dancers in perfect harmony.

It ended too soon for Hayleys liking as their art teacher walked in on them, a mixed look of shock and confusion on his face.

Hayley's kiss took Liam completely by surprise, - even more so than her slap - but he took it in his stride, and was soon kissing her back, his hand coming up to hold her cheek. He didn't understand what it was about her that was drawing him to her, but he liked it, his heart soared as he was finally allowed to taste her, to feel her lips moving in sync with his.

He pulled away quickly when the teacher walked in, and he grinned at him. "Alright?" he asked cheerfully, if a little boldly.
"Uhh.. Uhh.. What's... Going on in here?"
"I asked Hayley to teach me CPR. Didn't I, Hales?"
"Uhh.. Well.. Uhh.. You can.."
"Go now?"
"Right. Uh. Yes. Go on. Get out."
"Ta, sir!" Liam laughed, grabbing Hayley's hand and pulling her to the door. "Half an hour early, too." Once they were outside the classroom, Liam pushed Hayley to the wall, kissing her again, more passionately this time. "Come on," he gasped breathlessly, a wry smile on his face. "Lets get out of here."

Hayley Felt her heart tighten, what was she doing? She just kissed her worst enemy and walked out of detention. Liam was taking her to his house, holding her hand, and she was letting him, split between hating her every move and wanting to get there quicker.

When they got to his he got his keys out and unlocked the door. He lead her inside kicking the door shut behind them, he led her into the living room and they looked into each others eyes. Hayley was torn; they'd hated each other for years and yet... Hayley closed the gap between their lips, running her fingers through his hair and down his neck.

As Liam left the school, still holding tightly onto Hayley's hand, he too, was torn. He still didn't have a clue why he was suddenly so attracted to Hayley after so many years of hating her, but she didn't seem like she was about to complain, so neither was he. He didn't really know where he was going to take her, but eventually they were walking up his driveway, and he was unlocking the door and leading her into the living room, and she was kissing him - intensely. Smiling, he took hold of her hands and pulled her, taking care not to part their lips for more than a few seconds, to the couch, where they sat next to eachother, still kissing. He shifted slightly so he was facing her, and wound his arms around her waist, pulling her to him as his kisses grew more persistant. And then it came back to him just who he was kissing, and he pulled away, his eyes wide. "We can't," he gasped, breathing hard. "This is wrong. We hate eachother, what are we doing? Are we going to go back to hating eachother tomorrow? Because if that's the case, then I can't do this, Hayley. I'm sorry."

Hayley sat facing him contemplating in her mind the right words. "Well... What about the people at school. Maybe we could just..." She looked at his face for signs of what he wanted to say; thinking over what would be the best response. "How about we keep it a secret? And keep up the 'Hate-hate' relationship at school?" she bit her lip waiting for him to answer.
