Just a few things I've made. ( )

Postby Ace Darkfire on Wed May 14, 2008 8:36 pm

I've killed all the links in the previous thread I posted up with artwork. I'll probably be posting up some handdrawn artwork in the future. Don't know when, but it'll happen.

Anyway, it's only a couple of things.

First up... is currently one of a couple of things I'm working on.
It's a WWII styled Heavy Cruiser (CA), drawing primary influence from the Pensylvania-class BattleShip (IE: USS Arizona).
59,950 polygons.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/ ... erPose.jpg

Second up, another thing I'm working on, which is closer to being finished than the Heavy Cruiser.
Called the "Hound,"
25,000 polygons.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/ ... Hound4.jpg

And Last up, is a LARGE image. 1847x777 height by width.
It's a frigate...of sorts
99,500 polygons.

Some other models I've done...
A Character model I'm working on getting into UT2004. (I do not care for UT3)

Another one of my usual things I do, the FHD-37 Foxhound:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/ ... xhound.jpg

And a space fighter, the VX-1600 Nightmare:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/ ... htmare.jpg

An old render I did a long while ago...

Would have replied sooner... but I keep sidetracking myself. Frigate is one of my favorite models that I've done. Different than what I normally do, and it just came out cool. And it looks mean.

What program are you using to make these with?

Great quality, by the way.
Sundown to sunrise worlds spin above our heads, and all we see are the faint flicker of light that provides them life from times long past.

I know, I know, late reply. Just got back from Massachusetts about a half hour ago. Prior to this all I had to post with was a PSP and ridiculously slow WiFi connection points at the KoA's I was at.

The program I used for the modeling is called Wings3D found at http://wings3d.com/, and what I used for Rendering is an outdated and no longer worked on program called TOXIC Rendering Engine, found at toxicengine.org.

Alright, I guess I'll post some links to some older Pencil works I've done. None of these are recent, youngest posted is probably about a year old in my gallery. I don't remember any more. I need to get back into the habit of drawing again, so just keep an eye out on anything new.

This one is primarily Shading, there are a few drawn lines that were covered up so I had an easy reference guide to how the shadows should have moved.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/Practice-11681406

This one is old, but still one of my favorites, though I no longer have this picture any more.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/O ... k-11776306
I'll probably do a redraw in the future, to be honest, that's probably a "definitely will do a redraw" in the future.

This one is really more of a practice for a different way to draw hair for myself. I actually like how the detail makes it look dynamic, rather than flat. I've been thinking of doing a new version of this particular character.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/K ... a-11160374

Just a catgirl:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/M ... d-11188606
And another:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/C ... d-11716772

UT2k4 Character Concept:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/F ... t-11138272
I had this modeled at one point, but was lost after a fairly nasty virus took its toll on the harddrive it was stored on.

A megaman-ish character I drew some time ago. I've been wanting to expand on this character for awhile, but keep putting it off.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/C ... D-11160276

Dragon-Human Being:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/C ... e-11152517
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/C ... 2-11152897
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/C ... t-11160663

Character Concept. Some might recognize the name.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/W ... t-67167526

Somethings I drew while sitting in 95 Adjutant General Battalion, Alpha Battery, 4th Platoon in 2006:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/Tara-33450496
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/Aegis-33056550
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/Prayer-33050623
(It may not be readily apparent, but I have a big thing for Angels and Crosses - it should be readily apparent, however, that I have a big thing for women).

Fantasy Charactr - The Goddess Mirimilecia:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/M ... a-71762167

DangerGirl styled character:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/Uh-11137030
I had actually used a DangerGirl ad as the reference for this, in fact, I had to draw most of her right side because the other two broads in the ad had covered it up.

One of many Renditions of one of my first characters I imagined - Tirana Morgaine:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/T ... e-11137936

Two Yu-Gi-Oh Fanart pieces, drawn from looking at the respective cards:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/W ... r-11138427
I modified this one to serve as the basis for my current tattoo on my right shoulder. I changed how her right leg flows with her left, and the number of wings she had. I did that, because at the time, I was having problems doing a 100% original tattoo. I didn't want anything overly complex, but I wanted something that would convey my love for angelic characters, and this fit the bill after being modified.
And the tattoo in question (This picture isn't of the colored version I have now, I haven't uploaded it yet - keep in mind, it's blurry): http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/M ... o-50581072 - Tattoo cost? $150, including touch up jobs.
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/S ... e-11151218

Angel of Life:
http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com/art/A ... D-11881759
I probably should have used that as the basis for my tattoo, just without all the shading. I may actually in the future have this one put on my left shoulder instead of getting a Celtic-style Cross I've been thinking about.

Anyone who remembers me from the GundamWing.com Chat, and the "Gundam" I moved around in, are about to meet it. I'm actually on the verge of redrawing this, to improve upon what I've drawn here:

Primary Armament (the ones facing forward):
4 Heavy Particle Accelerator Cannons: (HPAC): Accelerates multiple particles to near-light-speed, which when hitting a target, causes shields to lose significant power to stop the projectiles. Polarizing the hull of the ship will reduce damage induced from the weapons impact upwards of 75%, but for many ships, that isn't always enough.

8 Medium Particle Accelerator Cannons: (MPAC): The only differences, besides cosmetics, from the HPAC, is the shorter range at which the particle will remain at near-light-speed, and the total number of particles accelerated, which affects damage output.

Secondary Amament (All the current turrets):
25/30- Six Barreled Heavy Laser Turrets: Can perform Anti-Fighter/Bomber duties as well as anti-ship duties, the HL Turrets are basically jacks-of-all-trades and maser-of-none, though typically, Heavy and Medium Lasers in general are used for anti-ship duties when the Primary Armament isn't in firing angle, and even if they are, are still used.

Tertiary Armament (Not modeled yet):
10/16 Two Barreled Anti-Fighter/Bomber Light Pulse Laser Turrets Designed to fire bursts of light in rapid succession, the Light Pulse Laser Turret is excellent at Anti-Fighter/Bomber duties on capital ships,
