Just an Inconvenience ( )

Postby #Chance on Sat Dec 31, 2011 7:49 pm

Authors note: Recently just got out of a very one-sided relationship and this is what I came out from it. I didn't have the guts to post this the other day but since it's a new year I thought I'd get some courage.

Just an Inconvenience.
You made the clouds darken,
You made me break down,
I heaved up my things,
And went out of town.
You made me feel worthless,
You made me feel pain.
You made me feel sorrow.
A world of disdain,
I went out for months,
I nursed up my hurt.
And came back in time,
Filled up with self-worth.
I’ve learnt from my sorrows,
I’ve learnt from your lies.
I’ve learnt from your poison,
I’ve learnt from my cries.
So stab at my will
But my sword is sharper.
Bite at me with words,
And I'll bite back harder.
You tried to crush me,
You think I'll take that?
I'll beat down the bully,
Take that as a fact.

You're out of my life.
I'm brimming with pride.
I've pulled you clean out,
The thorn in my side.

You haven't had enough to know what it's like.
You're just upset because you [ wish ] you were in my position.
Now nod your head because you know that I'm right.

Heh. I definitely know what's like to post something about a breakup. It takes a lot of balls. I have true respect for you about it.

That last stanza really hits me. The emotion doesn't burn as strong in me, because I'm in my third month of dating this new guy who treated me amazingly .. but yeah. I been there, friend.

I been there.
