" hes nothing but a weakling...thats about to die" said the voice

"No, he's not!" Reiko shouted into the darkness. She turned to the dark building before her. She was angry, raging. No one should taunt a person like that, ever.

"He's one thousand times stronger than you'll ever be, you coward! At least he has the guts to come out here and fight! Step out here, already! Show your cowardly face once and for all!"

" you will see my face soon enough little girl.. but for right now let him suffer" says the voice as Ryosuke gets shot in the leg

"Shit," Reiko shouted. Ryosuke crumpled into a heap next to her. "Ryosuke, hold on, man! Just keep yourself awake. Don't give into this - you're stronger than that!" Angry, she turned toward the darkness again. "You son of bitch - I swear I'll kill you for this."

She felt something, a power maybe, rising in her chest. It went from her chest to her arms, then down to her legs. Something strange and overwhelming was taking over her body, brought on by the horrible wave of anger and rage that was now running through her body.

"I'll kill you for this..."

" strong words for such a little bitch" said the voice as another shot grazed Ryosukes shoulder

Reiko did not mind the insult - insults, she could live with. But the sickening sound of another bullet running into her best friend's flesh as he agonized mentally was sending her over the edge. She felt powerless to heal him, but she could help him. All she had to do was find where the bullets were coming from.

But concentration was taking her a lot of effort. In her rage, her mind was clouded. Her usually mellow persona and sharp senses were becoming overridden by the roiling anger inside of her now. The warmth that erupted in her chest was beginning to build up, causing Reiko to shake.

"You sound so cocky," she said, taunting. "At least I'm not hiding behind anything."

" feh dumb girl im not hiding" said the voice as yet another bullet grazed Ryosuke

Reiko's heart skipped beat.

Not hiding...?

She clenched her fists, a sliver of fear running through her rage. Her mind, seconds ago burning with intense anger, cleared, and caution creeped into her system once more.

She spread her legs apart, in a fighting stance, and her arms ready for battle. She was not scared, not her, not ever. But she knew that this was no game, and she wasn't going to risk it.

"Well, unless you're invisible or something, then there's no excuse for me to not see you. Come out and fight, already."

" feh.... you'll see me soon enough" said the voice as Ryosuke stood there with an emotionless look in his face

" damn it... i couldnt... save her" said Ryosuke

" OI Ryosuke hows about this... you keep crying like a bitch and ill start attackin her" said the voice

" Please dont" said Ryosuke


" Die you Bitch" said the voice as he shot bullets at Reiko Ryosuke moved in the way

" i WILL NOT LET YOU HURT HER" said Ryosuke as he got hit in the arms and legs

" i couldnt protect my mother but ill risk my life for her"

Reiko was speechless.

The bullets she had been prepared for. She had braced herself for that terrible ripping, the shredding, the burning. But not for this. Reiko could still not resolve where in the hell Ryosuke had summoned the strength to get back on his feet, let alone move that fast in front of her. She could only stare ahead, watching the person she loved get hit repeatedly in the body with bullets. And it's not as if she didn't want to do anything, she was simply frozen. With confusion, with dread - with fear.

"Ryosuke! No!" Finally, she took steps forward, pulling Ryosuke back, down onto the ground. She knew he couldn't run, but there was no way she was going to leave him here. Reiko grabbed him around the shoulders and tried lifting him. "Ryousuke, stay with me, man!"

"im Fine" Said Ryosuke who at this point ignored the pain and the burning of his flesh

" hes dead" he looked in the darkness and shot straight at the guy ending his life Ryosuke's eyes turned an electric blue as he shot at the man.

" this must be the power ive been feeling... inside" Ryosuke fell to his knees

Reiko jumped back, surprised. The man whose voice had been taunting them collapsed before them, dead from a bolt of something. She looked back at Ryosuke, confused as to how he could possibly be standing and talking with wounds like his. For a moment, a fear of Ryosuke becoming mad with power and failing to recognize her struck Reiko. She could fight thugs no problem; powerful bolt-launching demons were another story.

"Ryosuke, what the hell happened? What are you?"

" i dont know what i am" said Ryosuke to Reiko

" im sorry to have worried you"

"But, you're...alive?" Reiko took another step back. Not out of fear, but confusion. As if looking at Ryosuke from far away could help her understand just what had happened in the last couple of minutes. She was glad Ryosuke was alive and breathing, but she couldn't quite understand how.

"Ryo-kun...? I-I don't understand what just happened,"

"its just an ability i have... it only shows it self when i get angry... i know you think im a freak" said Ryosuke

"Not a freak," Reiko corrected, gaining composure by the second. She lightened her voice, working some humor into it. "Just a strange phenomenon."

She took careful steps forward, closer to Ryosuke. "I dunno what the hell you are, but I know I'm still here for you - even if you do look funny when your eyes go electric blue."

" i always thought i looked cool" said Ryosuke.. walking closer to her

" thank you...Reiko i l-" just then a shot rang out from far away missing Ryosuke

" nows not the time for sentimental bullshit little brother" said A Man who walked out from the shadows

" i knew you had something to do with this... i just didnt want to believe it... its really you Takeshi" Said Ryosuke

"Brother?" Reiko asked, a bit surprised. "Are you kidding me, this guy's your brother? Why the hell are you trying to kill Ryosuke?"

" heh because hes the only thing that stands in the way of my dream to take over the city" said Takeshi
