Hotaru made rank, He was the new CO of a old Shimakaze class Destroyer the Shinobu. Which he thought might be alright till he found out what battle group the Shinobu was assign to. Even now Hotaru try's to make the best of what was handed to him....

No. Bombers (or fighters for that matter) are not a big enough threat to capital ships to devote a whole vessel to their usage. They would be like hulking targets for anything bigger then a Light Cruiser. The small craft are more like the Fairey Swordfish used by the Royal Navy to disable the Bismarck. Out of three torpedo hits (out of fifteen launched) the only damaged came from a disabled rudder.

The Bismark was a hulking beast and could absorb a lot of damage anyway, an dif there was a devoted carrier with proper escort like in the US Navy the fighter and bomber sit could disgorge would be a hazardous force.

1. Your last post in the IC was horrid and needs work. If anything, hit the enter key before a new character starts speaking, its just all that easier to read and figure out.

3. NO they wouldn't be hazardous force. Is a mass of Mosquitoes (lacking them all carrying a disease) a hazardous force? If anything they'll make you itchy and thats for the bombers. A fighter is about as threatening to a capital ship as grasshoppers. A mass of bombers only makes for a target rich environment for fighters, anti-fighter small laser batteries, Destroyers, Corvettes and Frigates.

Uhh. . .I'm going to have to say no, unless you do some serious revisions. 21 is really too young to be a college-graduate, which is generally required to be a pilot. . .either that, or be prior-enlisted who impressed somebody enough to be sent to flight school. Every military that I am aware of forbids tattoos below the wrist or above the collar. Fighter Pilot isn't a rank. . .it's a job description. Lieutenant Junior Grade (JG) is an appropriate rank for your character. Flying "straight into battle", battle being space, when massive amounts of fire, lasers, guns, missiles, etc, both friendly and enemy, can be coming at you from 360 degrees, is not a good idea. You fly in formation instead, in flights (four), squadrons (12, and wings (36), and you never go anywhere without your wingman tight on your ass. And finally, with the kind of engines that power these fighters, if you did ram another fighter with your wing, likely at very high speed, the explosion would have consumed you, and even if it didn't explode, your shattered wing would send you into an endless roll and probably kill you all the same. Not trying to be mean, but this is a unique RP.
